You mentioned on the "Tell us something about yourself!" thread that your family isn't fond of you being into LBT. Why is that?
Honestly, I’m not sure. They’re normally cool with me liking things that they don’t, and they also are big supporters of the notion that children’s entertainment doesn’t have to just be for children. I think it largely boils down to that they don’t remember me having been into LBT as a kid (how the heck that’s possible is beyond me), that my mother personally hates LBT, and that LBT used to be a surprisingly big source of tension between me and my mother.

Btw, is this from Balto?
Yep. It's from Balto 2: Wolf Quest. I paused it at that moment and just had to get that pic and post it here :p

Littlefoot felt a slight wave of shock with a little bit of sadness come over him as he knew what was happening. However, he was mainly angry at how his "friends" had been acting lately, and he couldn't help but yell out "I never want to see you again either, you f****** b****, and same with all the rest of you!! " as another perfectly timed thunder clap drowned out two of those words, rendering them incomprehensible. He knew that his friendship with Cera and all the other dinosaurs with which he used to love to play and go adventuring was officially over in that very moment.

Well, this wave of new members is actually somewhat unusual, but I'm totally not complaining. I always love it when new people join.

Welcome to the GOF!! Many people here (myself included) have roughly the story around LBT, where they loved it as kids, thought they outgrew it, decided to re-watch it as adults, yada yada yada...

As for the sequels, they're probably up there with the Star Wars prequels in terms of how much hate they get from the general public, but they really aren't that bad, with a few exceptions (cough WISDOM OF FRIENDS), if you can accept that they are more lighthearted than the original, and they do have the characters singing a lot of songs, many of which are silly and unnecessary. However, some of the sequels actually are pretty good. I personally love Journey Through the Mists, Secret of Saurus Rock (which actually is one of the more hated ones), Stone of Cold Fire, and Great Longneck Migration (which should've been the last one imo).

At any rate, it's always great to see new members!!

@Flathead770 That movie is called Brewster's Millions, and this reminded me of that movie too :p

Let's see...

I think I could easily spend tens of thousands on photography gear (camera, lenses, better computers, professional printer, accessories for all those things, etc) given the chance. Maybe some new cars for myself, my friends, and my family (I could put a huge dent in that million if I bought anyone an expensive car like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, etc). A house would be hella nice. I'd probably give a lot of the stuff to friends and family, since I'm not sure if I could even want $1M in material goods :p

Granted. You get an old dilapidated house that's condemned.

I wish my mother hadn't wrecked her car (yes that actually happened recently and is a big part of why I've been so inactive lately)
