Title: Agumon Adventures
Post by: Rustam on June 13, 2017, 07:00:45 AM
Hi, guys. I suggest you a little entertainment - videogame called Приключения Агумона (Agumon Adventures).
This is amateur game - a team of six people (including myself) created the Agumon Adventures for four months and released it by August 20, 2015. Before us there were two tasks:
1) Make a really good amateur game about digimons, which will interest the player.
2) Make it so that this game will become the best of all amateur games about digimons.
I think we coped brilliantly with both tasks. The game turned out to be not only fascinating, but also high enough to call it the best amateur game about digimons in the world. Sorry for bragging, but I think this is the coolest fan game about digis)) At least that's my subjective opinion. Here is the trailer.

So, what is this game? It genre is a side scrolling adventure. The protagonist of the game is Agumon. This restless dinosaur goes with a simple errand from the elder of the village Jijimon, but on the way manages to get into a lot of adventures, resulting in an epic battle to save the File Island. Our development team tried to make the most graphically saturated game, so at the levels you will find animated backgrounds, many beautiful sights, as well as wild digimons scurrying back and forth. Here is the several screenshots of the first levels.

I made a list of the features of the game, for which it is worth playing.
-When we travel around the File Island, we can stroll through the Native Forest, the Jungle, the Freezeland, Savannah, the Factory and a bunch of other levels familiar to us from the Digimon Adventure and the Digimon World 1.
-Game is completely non-linear! At the end of each level, we are given a choice of what to do next. Depending on what we choose, the plot will develop in different ways. From our choice will also depend on the ending, which in the game a few.
-At the course of the game our Agumon will be able to take the forms of the SnowAgumon, WarGreymon and other digimons from its evolution line. Each form has its own battle style.
-And of course, the game has a lot of various secrets, references and unexpected meetings, which will please any fan of digital monsters, familiar with the old characters.

This game is in Russian (no English, sorry), but if you like digimons, you can play like that. Language is only needed to understand the dialogues and ways of choosing between levels.
To launch the game, open the folder "Agumon" and click on the file "Game". If the game does not start, install the vc2010 program on your computer, which is located next to the Agumon folder.
Controls:
F1 (on the title screen) - New game
WASD - Move
K - Jump
J - Attack 1
I - Attack 2
L (when you score enough points) - Evolution!
O - Special Attack (once in half a minute)
Space - Pause
Enter (when the game on pause) - Exit to the title screen
The usual walkthrough of the Agumon Adventures takes a little more than an hour, but some endings can be opened in ten minutes. Write in the comments to what level you were able to go through the game and what endings you managed to open. :)

I got the time to play this game finally and also beat it. Naturally I had no idea what I was doing so I just decided to pick the right options every time and got this ending

Ummm so I was chasing this candle thing and now I'm washing this Digimon? Really funny without any context. :lol I also don't know too much about Digimon except for parts of the first season.

Apparently got a C rank. I'm not sure what the criteria are but I only died once during the last level.

Are the evolutions random? During the final boss I turned into some pink robot looking thing temporarily that shot hearts and a slow moving bomb.

I'm glad that someone interested in my game and finished it. Thank you, Flathead770.
Your rank depends on the ending that you get. The better the ending, the higher the rank.
Evolutions are not random. Transformations are associated with the number of points collected.
30 points - SnowAgumon
50 points - ExTyrannomon (that "pink robot with hearts", actually he's a muppet)
70 points - WarGreymon
In the game there are other evolutions that become available when certain conditions are met.
