OK. I gave it another test:

My download speed decreased a bit, but my upload speed increased considerably! Is this better now?

For some reason it doesn't let me connect to Calgary anymore, i dunno why, its ~50miles closer then Kelowna.
Hmm, where are you, Flathead?  Banff?  Crowsnest Pass?  Canmore?  SW Alberta somewhere?
I'm able to connect to the Calgary server very nicely (about 20ms ping).

There have been times when my upload and download ratio were way off.  The most noticeable time was when I had 29mbps download and 109kbps upload. I was on the phone to my ISP that instant.  It turned out that there was something wrong with the wiring in my house. -_-

My ratio is still screwed up. :(

I should have at least 3mbps upload.  This is WIRELESS BTW.  It still does this on my main computer when I get 28mbps down and 2.5mbps up.  I have no idea what's wrong.  I'm gonna have to call my ISP. <_<

Time to revive an old thread! :D Here's my internet speed using the wireless on my laptop:

I'll post my wired speeds in a little bit.

Okay, here it is.  I don't know why it's so slow right now.  Maybe there's someone downloading stuff from my server. It should be close to 50mbps...that's what I'm paying for anyways...

EDIT:  Oh and I did the wired test on my Windows 7 test machine BTW. :D

1400 miles? Did you do that on purpose?

I'll never get a upload speed like that though. We usually have like.. 24 kb/s

Yeah.  Seattle is the closest place that has a good enough server to test my 50mbps connection. :p

Well, this isn't technically Speedtest.net, but it is an online internet tester, and here is a comparison between the EDGE network, 3G network, and my Wi-Fi network.

pretty slow for me (No idea how to post an image)

My download is about 300kb/s and the upload is about the same.

My ISP, which was 5mbps download had just upgraded their infrastructure recently and offered a free speed boost to all of their customers of 50%, plus a number of other new free features, including "Powerboost", which basically gives me an extremely high bandwidth for a short period of time (advertised as 5-20 seconds) during downloads, useful for websites and other relatively small files.

The big downside is that my upload speed wasn't upgraded at all.  I have pretty quirky-looking results now! :p

I'm loving the 16+mbps download speed though, I've never seen numbers like this before in my life! :D

Hey Action.  You and me will be the only one's that can remotely keep up with each other when it comes to transferring files (at least one way that is). :D

Meh....pretty good.  You could probably out-play me on WOW because of all the servers and stuff I have going on my connection. :p

EDIT:  Here's my speed right now.  I'm downloading 68 large torrents (I'm bad...I know), 464 people are connected to my server, and 38 people are downloading files right from my server now. :p

The only problem with the Powerboost feature:
It's awesome and it's fast but..it's inconsistantly fast. :p

15mbps one time, 24mbps this time; it all depends on local usage, I imagine.  Either way, I won't complain at 24 mpbs when I'm paying for a 5mbps connection. ;)

I would kill for a faster upload speed sometimes though.. :p
