Saw this on another forum and I thought it would be interesting enough to bring it here.

Basically, post about all the things you were certain of when you were a kid. Your wrong/strange interpretations on things.

- When I was a kid I thought my SEGA Genesis would be able to play NES games if I pushed them hard enough.

When I was a kid, I thought that Britney Spears was the original recording artist of the song (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction; but, it wasn't until about 10 years ago when I found out that The Rolling Stones had recorded it originally back in 1965.

That was the one time I had felt so stupid. Once I had heard The Rolling Stones version of the song, I liked it much better, even though, I grew up listening to Britney's Spears' version.

When I was child, I didn't know about existing of money change. So I thought if I have more money than thing's price, I still can't buy it if I haven't sum of coins that are equal thing's price. (till the end of first school class *rollseye*)

I wanted to buy Egg under sousage for 3 RUB, but I had only 5 RUB coin... :/

When I was a kid, I thought being an adult was better than being a kid. As it turns out, no matter how old you get, there's always gonna be someone who is gonna boss you around whether they're an authority figure or not or even the same age or younger than you. To top it off, you get more responsibility as an adult and not necessarily more freedom; except for the choice of how you spend your hard earned money; and even then, there are limits to which items you can purchase without having to use a credit card.

Makes sense though, Diplodocus were very long dinosaurs

This is so true... I feel the same.

When I was a (really young) kid, I thought that I wouldn't have to poop if I just wanted it bad enough not to happen... of course that was bound to fail

Until I was about 8 years old, I didn't really know how to call "The Land Before Time". I haven't been able to read yet.

Whenever I wanted to watch "The Land Before Time", I asked my mother: "Mother? Can I watch 'Littlefoot'?"

When I was really young I thought our house number was unique. When someone said they lived on a different street on the same number, I was honestly so confused for a while, haha.

I was also a bit philosophical as a kid. Am I stuck in a TV show? Do other people even exist? Why do I exist? Do you see colors the same way I do? What even is blue?

I wonder where things went wrong

I had saw a dinosaur documentary where a Quetzalcoatlus ate a pair of baby T Rex's and there was footage of a adult pair of T Rex's killing a Triceratops. So my 4 year old brain thought those were the same pair of Rex's and that they had grown up after getting eaten.

I was pretty stupid back then.
