The cuts are mostly attributed to George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Kennedy is credited as a co-executive producer, but Lucas and Spielberg were said to have the most control.

I have an idea...

Its possible to change your region in the iTunes store. Its a longshot, but one of them might contain the uncut version. I have already looked in a few of them, namely Finland.

There are a lot of regions. Its too much for one person to do. Maybe if people wanted to organize which regions they would check, a full sweep of all of iTunes could be done.

Something to think about.

General Land Before Time / Why is this so rare?
« on: July 31, 2017, 01:36:29 AM »
I'm 31 now and LBT will always have a place in my heart.

However even I will admit that as you get older, you start to lose interest in this kind of stuff. Peer pressure does have something to do with it, but sadly as we get farther from our childhoods, the more of it we leave behind, whether we want to or not.

I get teased for my love of animated movies by almost everyone in my life. It doesn't matter what they think, only what I think matters to me. I will continue to get super hyped for the next big animated movies that I want to see (How to Train Your Dragon 3! I am so going to bawl hard at that one.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sywgotmGD04 skip to 3:20. The video uploader fast-forwards through the song as he apparently finds it, "annoying."

Is that what you were looking for? its basically the same sequence thats in LBT 12, except it ends sooner and has a different shot of Petrie.

Any news on that yet?
I'm sure that if Tyrannosaur found anything of interest they'd share it with the rest of us. :)
I definitely would :)

I haven't found a VHS player to test it with yet. When I do, I will check the VHS tape. I'm not hopeful, though. The tape has a runtime of 1 hour, 9 minutes. That's the official runtime for the cut version of the movie.

I found a copy of the McDonalds VHS on eBay. according to several sources I found online, it contains some of the removed scenes. I don't know if anyone else has already checked this copy of the movie, but it was only 6 bucks so I just bought it lol.

Once I get it and a VHS player, I will take a look at it. Not getting my hopes up, sadly.

EDIT: Just got the package and checked the runtime. It says 1 hour, 9 minutes so there's probably nothing there as far as extended scenes. When i pick up a VHS player i will pop it in and verify. The box is still factory-sealed from original release!

Computer and Electronics / Need help changing my IP address
« on: November 02, 2011, 02:27:19 AM »
if you have a broadband internet connection, i dont think its actually possible to change your IP.

you could use a proxy, but i dont recommend doing that unless you have some experience with them.

LBTLover would be the person to answer your question in much more detail. i dont really know enough about that kind of thing to say for sure if its correct.

Computer and Electronics / Steve Jobs Dead
« on: October 06, 2011, 04:26:41 PM »
Im far from apple's biggest fan, but they have, for a long time, made a great product (im posting this on my iPad lol). And regardless of how a person feels about apple, you cannot deny that Steve Jobs did a lot of wonderful things for the computer industry, and he will be remembered as a person with a vision. A person that had a dream, and made it a reality.

I know that he has been much of a douchebag in his life, but the computer industry wouldnt of been the same without him.

Steve jobs. 1955 - 2011.

Rest in peace

Silver Screen / Cars 2.
« on: June 26, 2011, 09:00:38 PM »
So i went and saw Cars 2 on opening day, and i thought it was really great.

One thing i dont get is almost all the critics are slamming it into the ground.

It has a good plot, great animation, great voice acting, although mater's voice (larry the cable guy) you can only take so much of.

I think the problem is people are comparing it to pixar masterpieces like the incredibles or finding nemo.

The cars series from my view, has never been about trying to make something that is the golden egg of theater, but something that wants to be less serious and to have more fun with it.

I wasnt a huge fan of the first cars, but i still liked it alot, and this one is much better i think.

In closing: ignore the critics, go and see the movie and enjoy it for what it is.

WARNING BELOW

try to avoid taking any kid below the age of 8. This may seem odd for a pixar movie, but in short, this movie should not of been rated G. PG at the minimum

Indeed this was a good movie and I look forward to buying the DVD.  On a side note, I went and bought a Night Fury action figure.  He's currently on my shelf next to Subject Delta and Master Chief. :D
oh my god. where did you buy this action figure? i must know!!! :D

Silver Screen / How to train Your Dragon
« on: April 21, 2010, 10:14:41 PM »
First ill say this:

i am a huge fan of anything Pixar. i love all their movies. only ones i havent seen is Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life.

i also tend to avoid Dreamworks movies. the only ones ive seen are Over the Hedge and How to Train your Dragon.

i saw this on sunday, didnt know what to expect or anything, just that it was getting good reviews...

now i will dare say, this movie is on par, if not better than most of what Pixar has offered so far. it is incredible.

everything in the movie is so well done. its a basic plot, but its told with such a level of care and detail that it is simply an amazing experience.

the movie is only enhanced even further by the soundtrack. this is one of the best movie soundtracks ive ever heard, especially the track named "Test Drive". i dare say, also that it rivals the quality of the Lion King and TLBT's soundtrack.

this is NOT your typical Dreamworks movie, filled with high profile voice actors and a ton of cultural references.

i highly recommend this movie to everyone, of all ages. go see it in 3D. i highly doubt you'll leave the theater feeling disappointed.

The new 360s all come with what is called the Jasper motherboard, which is supposed to be less susceptible to the RROD.

ive had a couple 360s in my time, and have also experienced the RROD. not very fun. hopefully you'll get yours back promptly.

The Fridge / Your current Job
« on: January 31, 2010, 10:22:47 PM »
After i stopped working at Best Buy, i relocated to another state and got a job at a small computer specialist store.

i make $9.75 an hour, work about 38-40 hours a week.

i dont really have a single position in the store. i do everything, including sales, warehouse, cleaning, our service center, so on and so forth xD.

i was fortunate imo, as its a job where i dont have to focus on just sales, which isnt my favorite thing to do. about 40% of everything i do is sales related.

Computer and Electronics / Ipad
« on: January 28, 2010, 03:29:50 PM »
this is what bugs me about Apple. they release all this stuff that is really expensive and basic in nature.

i havent seen this new "iPad", but people will buy it simply because its Apple, and Steve Jobs knows this.

very little they do is revolutionary, its all standard stuff.

Computer and Electronics / Netbooks
« on: January 28, 2010, 02:53:58 PM »
you all bring up valid points, but keep in mind, that netbooks are designed for a select group of people :p

like, me personally, i could never use a netbook as my main computer, as i play alot of high detail games.

but for what they are designed for, they do a pretty good job i reckon :).
the screen size and lack of a CD drive can be a pain, and they definitely aren't for everybody. but for what they are intended for, i think they do quite well :).

peace
