LBT Fanart / Re: Stardust's LBT Art Nest
« on: November 28, 2019, 05:32:24 PM »
Thank you, Sovereign. :)

Impractical: While I don't want to give away the full surprise just yet, I will say that I have two fully-formed ideas for drawings this time around. One of them is for the current prompt:
Quote
Nov/Dec
One Word Prompt: Humanization
Descriptive Prompt: Haven't you all been wondering what the Gang would look like in our human world? For this prompt, it is your task to design as many LBT characters as you want in a human form. Let's get creative!

It was originally going to be my only drawing for the Nov/Dec prompt, but then Mumbling suggested an alternate prompt:
Quote
I'm no good with drawing humans, but would enjoy drawing the dinosaurs among humans/in our civilization.

And that inspired me, so I'll be doing another drawing based around that idea. :DD

I haven't started them yet, but that'll be a December project for sure.

That's a good point regarding the book-ends, that Littlefoot was the only one to see the meteorite. I didn't think of that before. Although I still think it would've been nice to see the rest of the Gang's reaction to the aliens. Hmm, do I smell a potential future fanfic idea?

Computer and Electronics / Re: Wired or Wireless Mouse?
« on: November 28, 2019, 04:43:09 PM »
This is the worst. I have 3 old mice lying around, all with this issue. Either the mouse wheel no longer clicks or it scrolls incorrectly. I wonder if it can be easily fixed somehow, but mine are usually just discarded and replaced.

I've recently replaced my wired mouse at home with one that can be used both as wired and wireless. Really happy with the purchase so far and really hoping the scroll wheel lasts longer.
Huh. None of the mouses I've ever used had a mouse wheel problem. They work fine all the way to their expiration date!

This is the first time in a long time that I've had a mouse wheel problem. Usually my mice stop working properly because the click button becomes too sensitive and then it'll keep double-clicking when I don't want it too. Still, yeah, it's probably time for me to get another mouse.

Seems I may have jinxed myself when I said that. Just yesterday the mouse wheel on my desktop (formerly laptop) mouse stopped working completely. :( And meanwhile, the mouse I currently have connected to my laptop still has a broken (but still semi-functional) wheel. Looks like Minecraft will have to wait until I can get myself a new mouse.

What was your military service like (in general)? Did you enjoy it?

If not by the end of this year, then for sure it'll be a New Year's project.

Come to think of it, that owl looks confused. Maybe it's because he legitimately can't read, but is trying to anyway. :p

Character Showcase / Re: Ruby Showcase - October 2019

1) What special qualities do you think Ruby brings to the gang that did not previously exist in the gang as qualities?

2) What are your unique thoughts about Ruby's unique speaking style? :p

Initially I refrained from posting in here due to not having seen Ruby in action. But today I watched "The Star Day Celebration", my fourth episode now. And, being a Ruby-centric episode, it seemed like a good time to comment. I'll admit I'm not as attached to Ruby and Chomper as I am to the original members of the Gang (although maybe it's because they haven't had as much time to grow on me). But for a TV series, and a long-running franchise in general, I do think bringing in some new blood was a good idea.

Not sure yet how I feel about her unique speaking style. It seems a bit overused, but then again, I feel the same way about Ducky and Petrie. Nonetheless, after Ruby's somewhat awkward introduction in the pilot, I am pleased that this episode gave her some backstory, even if it just led to me wanting to know more about her family and why exactly they sent her away.

I'd been trying to figure out how to refer to "nap time" without my forbidden letter.
