"MOM!!!" Greg cried happily, tears in his eyes. The young belly dragger nuzzled his mother like he never had before. "But where's dad?"

"I'm in here son," a voice called...from inside Dil's mouth. "I hid in here when the fires started. Are they over?" Ichy asked.

"Ruby alive too?!" Petrie said, "I mean, is alive...". Kit laughed both at her cousin and just in the happiness of that news as well, "Then...alot others could be alive too, couldn't they?!" she dared to actually, beyond just hoping, actually believe it might be true too.

"I mean...in case you were wondering, there's no wondering on my dad..." she glanced down a bit sadly but then pushed on, "but Littlefoot, Cera...any of the others, have you seen them?" she asked.

The odd thought of what would they do if they had lost their friends, but also herd leaders, was unsettling to both Petrie and Kit.

I really hope they are okay, Shorty said as he raised his head. It¥s indeed good to hear that Ruby is fine. I can¥t wait to see her. It¥s been a long time since we¥ve seen each other.

Dil chuckled.
"Yes Ichy, it's alright, you can come out now." She said as she opened her mouth to let the sharpbeak out.

Longtail's eyes widened for a moment as he suddenly banged his head against the wall of the cave.
"I need to get out of this cave! Which way is the closest exit?!" he said with a frantic look in his eyes.

Ruby smiled at Zaine.
"I am sure we'll find the others soon...I hope." she said with small frown.

Hunter nodded as she stepped forward and surveyed the damage to her once open and lush world...now it seemed more deserted than ever before...and it made her sad to think like that.

Dil shook her head and replied, "No...not unless it involves swimming sorry."

Longtail sighed heavily as he thought about what was outside..and more importantly what exactly he'd left out there....

Hunter nodded with Ecco's suggestion and stepped out of her cover completely. "Alright, let's start looking...and hope we find something good." she said with a monotoned voice.

Longtail growled in frustration.
"The sooner we get out of this silly cave the sooner we can find my herd!" He then hit his head against the wall once more as he shouted outloud. "I can't believe I left my herd out there!!! I feel so stupid!"

So, how can I call you in the future, Ecco asked with a bit of curiosity. And do you know others who could have survived? He starred hopeful at her while waiting for a reply and walking their way.

"Yeah Longtail, don't worry, we'll help you find your herd" Twiz said seriously. He sighed, "Perhaps only to selfishly make myself feel better about losing mine..." he closed his eyes, "but eitherway".

Kit sighed, moving little Flip to where he was more comfortable "Twiz...you did all you could" she whispered, having seen it for herself how he tried to get every member out of the smoke and fire...he just didn't succeed.

Petrie sighed as well, "There's always the cave in near the opening we were at...if we think we can move the rocks" he brought up one of the only suggestions he knew of.

For several moments Longtail looked to Twiz, Kit and Petrie, before he sighed and stepped forward. "I...I'm sorry for your loss. I really am." He quickly shed a tear as he added "There will be a place for all of you within my herd...that's assuming...any of them survived." Longtail then looked to Petrie and asked, "Where is the boulder that you mentioned? Maybe we can try moving it together."

Dil stepped over to the others and said, "That sounds like a good idea. I say we give it a try."

Kit smiled, much as she was able, "Thanks...I think you know how much that means" she spoke for all three, well four if you counted Flip.

Petrie wasn't quite sure if they could budge it...but then what other options did they have.

"It was right this way" he said, beginning to lead the way back over to where he, Kit and Twiz had come from and over to where the big bolder was blocking the cave entrance.

"We're pretty sure it kept the fire and smoke and all that out" Kit commented to the others, "but now...well as you can see it's one more problem".

Twiz flapped closer, "Petrie and I already had a go at it with no luck, but I'm sure all of us together could budge it".

"Well..the last time I was in a cave...I just bashed my head against the rock until it moved...I could try that again." Said Longtail aloud

Dil however had an easier option.
"Why don't we all just push against it...that way you won't have to hurt yourself Longtal."

The flyer smiled and said, "Yeah, but I like my idea better!" With that said he tensed his body up, took several steps back and thrust himself forward as hard as he could and his head smacked against the rock sending a dull echo through the cave.

Longtail however slid off the rock and grabbed his head in pain as he stumbled about for a moment trying to make the pain go away. "Such....a head hurt...ow...." he moaned to himself.

OCC: This is with the grown up gang of five now, right? So Shorty is grown up as well, isn¥t he?

IC: Shorty was a bit puzzled of the whole situation. How the hell did I get here in this cave. Then he looked over to the others, who were still searching for a solution to get out of this cave. M...maybe I could be a bit of help he said, walking over to them.

Zaine nodded. "You're gith. Somehow we'll find them, but I'm just so worried for them." He looked around at the destroyed valley they called home. I still can't believe it. Everything is gone.

Littlefoot continued to roam around the valley, looking for his friends or his family. "Grandma? Grandpa? Where are you?" Unfortunately there was no reply. "Where could they be?" He then decided to try his friends. "Cera! Ducky? Petrie! Spike! Anybody?"

"Let's try pushing it," Greg said, seeing Longtail nearly knocked out. "Or, we could try finding some water, some of you getting in my mom's mouth, than swimming outta here," he doubted if anyone would be willing to try this idea.
