I am officially having the worst week of my life!!

I am having an argument with Ida and Michelle... Not my fault btw... They're always teaming up against me...
On Tuesday I gotta get a test to see if I'm sick, and anyway, I'll have to do the needle on Friday!
HELP!
I have quite a bit of homework!
And on Friday I also have a Norwegian test AND a science test!

I AM HAVING A TERRIBLE WEEK!

And beware.. Because when I get the needle... I'm gonna SCREAM!!!

Take it easy.. take a deep breath and let it out. Calm down, and make a strategy for your homework.

And the needle.. not THAT bad after what I remember, so don't worry too much about it.
One thing you shouldn't do is getting there too early. Hates waiting, and you become anxious.

So take it easy, breath a bit, and watch a LBT movie. That would help alot on your mood :)

Maybe watching some comedy also.  As for the needle maybe looking way may be better.  It is for some people, then you are not sure when the needle will go in.  Though for some watching it may be better.

Unless you have a paranomia of needles, maybe what you can do is try breathing in and out.

Breathe in through your nose....

Breathe out through your mouth....

As far as home work, perhaps you can try setting all distractions (such as the internet) aside and focus on your hw. I try to do this myself, but I can fail miserably at it. :p

So, that's my advice. I hope this helps. :)

Heh.. Aww.. It sounds kinda bad..

I know I will have to run as far as possible tomorrow, while I also know my stomach is hurting badly of lately and I won't be able to do that without looking like I've got a bad condition or anything.

Anyway, this is not my problems thread.

Just remember it's not the end of the world, and your friends and forum and stuff will still be around after this week, and life will be good again :D

I suppose I'm kind of insensitive when it comes to needles (walking around with one in my body which needs to be changed every two or three days) :p
At least you don't have to stay in hospital for a long time, do you? I really hate being forced to stay in hospital for mere "observation" after a hypoglycamia or something.
Cheer up, there will be a day after the hospital day ;)

That is good.  It delays a thing you do not like and gives you time to remain relaxed about it and psych yourself up.

Hello:
Well, it seems things are going a bit of better for you Buffypii. But try to keep in mind, that the needle you are going to get is to keep you healthy... maybe that may help you to get some calm when the time comes.

Things look good for you now buffypii :^.^:
But when the time comes, even if it hurts, its better to feel pain now, instead of being sick later because you dind¥t took vacine.
I used to hate needles too, I had to be "draged" to the hospital :P:
With time that passed, but even now...lest just say i would¥t volunter to go take a vacine.
in life, unfortenaly, nothing is easy.

I know it.  As posted in the AM section, I have a big fear of sharp objects and have always hated needles.  Many years back, I needed to get a vaccination, and it took six folks to hold me down :o.  I sure was a strong kid for being a stringbean :lol.  Of course, I don't pitch a fit anymore but hate getting shots anyway.  I don't know how diabetics stand it.  Each one I've asked has said ya just get used to it after some time, although it may hurt (especially when one has to prick their finger to test their blood glucose level).  Anyhoo, hopefully next week goes better for ya, Buffypii ;).  Also, keep in mind we're here for ya whenever ya have a rough day or week :yes.

Is there something you can do to distract yourself? That may help.

Actually that finger pricking for blood glucose level testing is the perfectly painless part with the devices to "shoot the needle" at your finger and draw it back instantly. The needle twitches forward only a tiny bit and doesn't go deep either (unless you apply a setting to the pricking device which causes the needle to go unnecessarily deep). I'm not saying this because I'm accustomed to it but because it is really the truth: with a good pricking device the finger pricking does not hurt one bit.

Really, like Malte said, its really easy to use and unpainlful, at least that is what she says(,my grandmother as to it every day because of her diabetes, I whatched her day after day after day "shoot the needle" in the finger(sorry I dind¥t remember a better word  :p) and like 6 weeks ago, my cousin told me to try it, omg, I really hate needles, not as much as I hated but I still hate them, my grandmohter did it and so did my cousin, "ouch"( I thinked as I was seeing them do it), but really, this is a trauma, a bad one, I really  couldn¥t do it, I was like 15m, when I finnlay got the "guts" i misspressed the botun and rised the lv of the pricking to lv 3, and my stupid cousin (God I hate him <_<) he pressed the right botun and the needle got out, I wasn¥t ready, so it hurted more, but it simply makes me impression to see her every day "shoot" herself, I couldn¥t, I really hate sharp stuff, don¥t know if as much as Cancerian Tiger, but I do to.

Thanks for all of your support!
I really appreciate it!!

And I'm glad I'm not the only one with this fear!
Some people actually think I'm nuts because I'm so terrified!
