"Oh yes" Ada nodded, "I haven't played much, but I've seen others playing the game".

"Well, in bad news for us, Pterano's actually kinda good at it" Tylr commented to Ada from across the way, before smiling, "but I'm actually betting Tera's better so I'm not worried".

"Well, let's just say, you should be" Cree said with a smirk that could almost be counted just playful bantering...though, as always, since it was Cree, it was hard to tell.

"Alright, who get's to kick off?" Violet next realized they had to figure out.

"Maybe, since Ada's our special guest, she should." Pterano was starting to think that he was being too friendly. But there was something about this newcomer that made him WANT to be friendly.

Splasher giggled as she heard Violet ask her question.
"I think one of the team leaders should do it." she said voicing her opinion.

Tera smiled and replied, "That sounds like a good idea Splasher. What do the rest of you think?" she asked the others on both teams.

"Yeah, Splasher that does sound best" Violet agreed.

Tylr nodded, "Sounds good to me" he said. "Yeah, no argument here" Trip agreed.

They glanced to the other team. Ada nodded, "Yeah, sounds best, but thanks ever so much for the offer" she made sure to smile and tell Pterano.

Cree rolled his eyes at this, "Yeah, see Pterano, don't go gettin' all uppity" he ruffled the top of his brother's head in an annoying way with a smirk, "We're gonna let the team leaders do it...so would you like to impress us wiht a superb kick first?" he asked teasingly.

"Okay then, if the decision's unanimous." Pterano flew off the log where he perched and landed in front of the seed. He looked at the shape of it and where the best place to deliver the first kick would be. He decided on the middle. He inched back, jumped off the ground and swung hard. The seed went into the air.

Pterano puffed his chest out proudly, but he had some slight embarrassment too. He was years away from the Great Growing, but he felt like he was courting already. What would Mama and Papa think? Even more so, what would Ada's papa think?

"Wow, good shot..." Tylr said as he watched the seed sail. "Um, Tylr, we're suppose to try to stop and kick it back now" Violet reminded, giggling at her friend as she took flight to try and stop the seed.

"Oh, right" Tylr followed, "I guess I got 'stracted". Violet giggled, she'd keep it to herself but Tylr was sort of...well cute might be the right word.

Mid-flight she tried to kick it back, but missed. Trip next dove for it, "Come on Tera, one of us has got to get it or we're done for" he laughed, a bit dramatically but the little flyer always up for adventure tales and such could be dramatic like that.

Pterano hovered from where he could watch the seed, but he also watched Ada and Cree, hoping that Cree wouldn't find an opportunity to bully Ada.

Not far from the gamefield, there was a cave, and within the cave was a Velociraptor, Drake was his name. He walked to the entrance of "his" cave and looked down at the playing field.

He eyed them for a moment or so before making his way to the playing field, yet, stopping a few metres away "Heh, a bunch of grass guzzlers playing....what are you playing anyway?" he decided to ask, even though in his mind, he knew he was probabally going to regret having asked that.

Camara and Peloro saw the game and decided to go over and see it.

"What do you suppose they are doing dear?" the Camara asked her mate.

"I don't know, but I think I've walked right into it!"

He had done so, accidentally!

Drake seemed to jerk suddenly at the sound of Camara and Perolo's voices as he glanced to them "More of you stem smellers?" he asked, his tone sounding a little unfriendly at the moment.

Peloro turned to Drake. He didn't take kindly to his mate being insulted.

"What did you just call her?" he asked, stern, but still under control.

"Please, dear, it's okay. I'm not offended" She replied.

Drake just gave off a quick snort, he didn't like leaf eaters all that much, especially since they weren't, well, meat eaters as he looked to them still "You should be luck I'm not hungry at the moment" he spoke to them. And to him, that was a joke too, but to others, it probabally was a rather terrible one so to speak.

Splasher ran directly under the seed and jumped into the air to retrieve it for her team, when she noticed a shadow over her head.

Tera had nose dived for the seed and a single deft move she spun horizontally and caught the seed in her talons, while at the same time making sure Splasher stayed upright so she wouldn't hurt herself. "Got the seed!" she called out to Violet "Cover me!"

Splasher however after landing on her feet smiled and chased after Tera determined to get the seed back before the other team scored.

Dein smiled.
"Well then, we'll just have to beat them to the feast!" he said as he charged forward.

Terri followed right after Dein with a smile on her face as well.

"Now listen here, you!" Peloro started.

"No, my love, it's okay! You don't have to fight him!" Camara replied.

"Oh, my mate. He shouldn't say such things to you. Still, if you don't want me to fight him, I won't. You know that your welfare means the most to me."

"I know, my love." she replied.

Turning to face the rest, Peloro spoke to them;

"I'm sorry if my mate and I kinda stumbled into things. What is happening here, anyway?"

Drake could only chuckle at what was going on between both Peloro and Camara "You leaf eaters need to learn to relax, I'm not the kind to just go ahead and eat your kind....I've at least got some dignity in me" he then looked to the rest of them again "And please, do share what sort of game you're playing"

Violet giggled, darting down to try and keep any of the other team from interfering, but it looked like Splasher might be her only worry.

Cree and Ada turned at Pterano's cry, "W-what is it?" Ada asked about the odd creature to have darted over and tried to interrupt their game.

"Aw who cares, if it comes around again I'll just tell it to go away" Cree said before darting over to try and help retrieve the seed again.

He actually darted past Violet enough to knock the seed from Tera's wing and send it sailing towards a pond. "Ha, how's that for a good hit" he smirked to both his sister and Violet.

"Oh don't worry, we'll get back on top" Trip said, darting to try and get the seed...yet as it went towards the water he paused, unsure about darting that near the water that could interfere with his wings

Pterano too went after the seed as it fell downward. But he tensed as he feared it would fall in the water. And so it did. "Um..." He began. "I suppose this brings the game to a pause?" He asked as the seed bobbed lazily in the water. Then, it began to sink.
