Well, I saw The Land Before Time XII and inspiration struck in the form of 4 characters. 3 I managed to get down on paper. They are:

This is "Red" Max. He is called "Red" Because a red streak on his crest that I forgot to draw in but oh well. His story is one of sorrow, betrayal and deceit. He was once one of the greatest fliers in his herd. Everyone looked up at him with respect and envy; some more than others. There was one who wanted him gone, so he framed him. A great betrayal when he was accused of a terrible crime. Betrayed by those he helped, he was banished from the herd. He would then live alone in resentment. Across his back was a burnt scar. This was from the time he flew into the clouds during a thunderstorm. He was struck by lightning in his cocky attempt to show off. Miraculously he survived.

This here is the leader of Max's old herd. He is a tapejara. I must say, these creatures are so much fun to draw. He respected Max more than any other flier of the herd. But someone was pouring poison into his ear. He viewed Max as a son; some say he saw him as even more. When Max was framed, the leader had no choice but to banish him. He was heart-broken afterwards. When the cold time came, he was betrayed by the one who betrayed Max. Then he would be sure of who was to blame, although it was too late.

This is the herd's third in command. He is an expert flier and scout. He follows questions loyally and without question. This of course doesn't mean that he is just a drone. He has his own beliefs and morals. He just chooses to follow other's instructions. After the old leader was reported missing, he began to grow suspicious of the flier that then took charge. He is a brave and just soul. When the betrayals were finally revealed, he did not hesitate to strike down the perpetrator.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another fan character. He's quite important for the Red Skies Fanfic I am writing. He's gonna be a character you will need to keep your eye on. That's all I am saying ;3 He's an Ornithocheirus, and I feel he could have been drawn better >.> I wanted to give him the appearance of his wings looking like a cloak, I also wanted him to look scheming and such! :o I said too much!

A Dimorphodon character I came up with. He's the best friend of the Quetzalcoatlus. Unlike his friend, he tends to think a bit more freely and doesn't follow the whole myrmidon mind-frame. To be honest, I really like him <3 He's cute! He is very sweet and very charming. He's probably the brightest face out of the whole flock.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BONUS!

Remember that Tyrannotitan that I designed to look like death? Well, I tried my hand at drawing him realistic. What do ya think? ;3

...TO HELL WITH PROPORTIONS! D: His head is small and his arm is awkward, I know >.>

The Tyrannotitan has one arm and one leg. :D The point of view makes it look like the other two should show.

Also, you having watched LBT 12, I must know your thoughts on the movie and Guido. :D Did you find him to be "an old hoot" like I did? :lol

I just noticed the "skull head" on the Tyrannotitan. You really are trying to make it look like death! :o

Also, with your putting all of this "background information" on all of these characters you make, have you considered mabey writing fanfiction? It sounds like you've got the ideas, anyway.

Oh, I have considered creating a fan-fiction, although if I were to make on with the pterosaurs, It would probably have very little to do with TLBT besides being in the same world.

Now all I need is inspiration :p

It sounds like your flyer story will be a tragic one.
Somehow flyers seem to be marked for tragic fates (though sometimes they may turn for the better): Petrie who had such a hard time learning how to fly (there had been some discussion on whether he was left behind on purpose after the earthquake as, unlike in case of the other characters, his family would not have had a problem to cross the great divide), Pterano who lead his followers into their doom, Guido who doesn't know who his parents are or what exactly he is anyway...

Dito on that one. In my case the legs and feet are the body parts which are most frequently out of proportion.
Your drawings look really cool though. You managed to gave each of the flyers an individual look making the character easily distinguishable from the others.
Some time ago I was trying to draw a female flyer character (younger than Petrie's mother but older than Petrie) and had to realize that in the end I just couldn't tell that flyers gender. The crest on the head (which does not exist in case of all flyers and, if existing, seems to be identical for young flyers) and the length of the eye-lashes seem to make a rather thin list of features to distinct the genders. With your greater experience in drawing own characters and flyers in particular, do you have any helpful advice about this which you could share?

Well, to be honest, when drawing in TLBT style,  It's sorta hard to distinguish male from female. An example would be Littlefoot and Ali. Personally, for me I don't draw the eyelashes at all because it's just too weird to me :p

But I guess raelly it's all the way you interpret the characters. I mean, if I told you they were all female, it would look like they were, wouldn't it? And if I did do something magically to make them look masculine, I don't even know ^.^;
