Question on whether there might be a TLBT XIV?

hello everyone I'm Joshua Hartzler...sorry if I took so long to log on I had to think what my username was and password and I figured it out.

Anyway I want to ask an honest question on this forum to readers and the administer of this forum. Is there going to be a Land Before Time XIV movie this year in 2011? I asked the administer and she said no beacause they, meaning the readers told me that the Universal Animated Studios are closed, to me I don't think so, but I allowed them to believe what they want to believe, I still think there's going to be a new Land Before Time movie cause I've been looking them up on different movie websites and rumors too.

So..um..do you think there's going to a new Land Before Time sequel? anyone to be honest?

I don't want to squash your hope. ( i don't want to squash mine either), but theres VERY little chance of lbt ever continuing. The studios have been closed for 4 years (after the 13th movie ended up in the red, and the worldwide economy blew up.) I suppose there is a chance they will reopen the animation studios when the economy gets better and Universal is better financially.

Until the studio opens (if it ever does), there is not much point in talking about it.

It's true. The Universal cartoon studios (I forget the exact name) is indeed closed. They had closed four years ago. There will be no more Land Before Time movies.

Never believe rumors, they almost always be proved wrong and then you'll get your hopes crushed. I can guess what websites you found this information on and I can tell you now it is pointless to believe it. Probably on wikia without references or an unreliable blog.

I will admit I hate the fact that they are closed and there won't be any more movies, but its true and land before time isn't my current interest, so I've let the series go pretty much as of now.

EDIT: Also, this belongs in the General Land Before Time section, so can a mod move it to there, and close this topic like the last one started about a new movie was closed?

Since it's been closed for 4 years I'd have to look it up on You Tube and I'd like to know the title please and I'll find the answer.

There is no title of the movie. It doesn't exist, period. The stuido closed because they weren't making money off the movies most likely and it won't continue.

Just to be honest with you, Adder. not all blogs are true just like rumors, websites ect. you told me "don't believe everything you read" that's what you told me, now I'm not trying to insult you or be mean I'm just trying being honest with ya.

I won't give up hope for The Land Before Time movies and TV series. It's simple but we have rights to believe what we want to believe no matter what it takes.

Do understand for what I say to you know, honestly?

I hope you don't take this in a mean/Angery way.

May as well give it up. When a studio closes, the chance of it opening again is very slim, especially after four years. Your correct about being able to believe what you want; but this is just common sense about no more movies happening when a stuido closes. That link I gave you is a blog posted by an affialiate of Universal (I believe), so it has to be true, no more land before time (or other animated films for that matter) will be created by universal from 2007 on.

Well, Adder, there an old saying "never give up never" and it follows to a great success.

I understand the blog you gave me and showed me was posted by an affialiate of Universal Studios (I don't believe it) and I understand it's common sense.

In my honest opinion It takes time to think, plot and rebuild just like me I work on my hobbies. art projects, writing stories, art illustrations, and openining an art show on April 16 2011. Some people have choices and thoughts if they want to reopen or will not reopen the studio to me and some folks the people of the studio just have fear of what the LBT fans will think of new LBT movies and TV sequels. Fans go on Fanfic.com to write LBT to guess of what will happen to the characters in the longer story. I go over the stories and I make sure that they are suitable for children with pure caution. I gave a lot credit to one fanfic story of the Land Before Time series called "Chompers Big Responsibility" I liked it so much that I printed it off and read it.
I'm not saying that your wrong i'm just telling you what I believe and see in my point of veiw. So what do you think of my honest opinion, honestly?

Fanfiction authors don't write the stories so they can continue the last movie, they write the story because they have an idea that is original. Like LBTFan13's Revenge series for example, its not a sequel to any of the land before time movies, it's in its own timeline.

What does an art show have to do with anything?

I know, it takes at least three years to make a movie if you write a script, and all that. But most of the lbt sequels took only a year or two. No offense, but I think that you are wrong about what you think about The Land Before Time XIV happening, ask any member on the Gang of Five that knows about the closing of Universal Animation and they'll tell you the exact same thing I have told you already.

And I already went through this with you before, if you post rumors like this on Gang of Five, you won't be on the good side of members like me (or the administrators and moderators) on the forum. The reason topics should be about a confirmed movie is that most of the members here hate rumors with a passion, there have been five years worth of rumors and honestly, we're sick of them, and your just bringing up rumors that have been proven wrong four years ago. Also, There is a rule about posting like this, for another movie and a second season:

And this is from the administrator himself that created this forum, he made this rule and everyone follows this rule, and you should do the same and the best way to do that is not talk about The Land Before Time XIV or Season 2 of the tv series.

Adder, I understand everything you say and I'm completley suprised that members hate rumors with a passion. I'm sorry that you're, meaning members, are sick of it. I'm not trying to prove any rumors that are wrong four years ago. I'm just trying to tell you and other members what I believe will happen and hope will happen in my own point of view.

Good, now just forget about this topic until we hear otherwise (which I dobut we will) from Universal itself about the closing of the series or another movie happening or not. There are members that hate rumors more than me on Gang of Five, members that have been a member of this forum since 2006 when the rumors first surfaced.

Also, don't post everything you hear about The Land Before Time XIV. It will always lead to trouble later on.

No, this is not going to happen. Most definitely not in 2011 (the office is closed and has been closed for years and it takes a long time for such a movie to make, especially if it required an opening of the office).
It is also very unlikely for any further LBT movies or TV episodes to be produced any time beyond 2011. I won't say that it is utterly impossible to happen (Bambi after all good sort of a sequel 64 years after the or original movie was done), but it is a fact that there is absolutely not the tiniest shred of evidence even suggesting that there might be any existing plans for any continuation of the franchise whatsoever.
Rumors are quickly spread on the web and there is nothing as easy for anyone as to add false information to a Wikipedia article (for example) which other people then parrot without bothering to ask about the sources. Unless there were any verifiable statements from someone directly involved with the work on the land before time anything in the net referring to any further movies ought to be regarded as false rumors.
We are very much out to prevent the spreading of false rumors on this matter in the GOF so messages that contain false information (e.g. any announcements of movies without verifiable sources (and no, Wikipedia in this context is NOT a verifiable source) may be deleted (or edited as I'm going to do about the title of this thread) to avoid such spreading of false rumors.

It's very unlikely to happen, but I would like to bring up a point a poster made in one of these topics years ago.

All it takes is for the right person to get a high enough position at universal to reopen the closed animation studio's. If for example there was a new CEO at universal that wanted LBT to continue, he could probably persuade the company to give it another try. Now this is very unlikely (will probably NEVER happen) but it's a possibility.

I'm not starting any rumors with this, just bringing up a point.

As much as I wish an LBT XIV was going to happen, it's just a rumor. Universal Animation Studios is CLOSED, so no new LBT material will come out ANY TIME soon. Sorry, it's just not going to happen.

I'm gonna write a LBT story WHich I thought 10 years ago. I thought of "What would happen to Littlefoot if he was in the future and meets humans?"
