Ask me what ever you want, I'm an open book. Just as long as it's not too personally or anything....

Cera... Yeah I know she has her down sides but she really grew on me as a kid. Plus she's my favourite plant eating dinosaur, and a part of me likes tomboys.

Who's your favorite Land Before time villain?
I think it would have to be Sharptooth, as he's the most serious one, and he actually killed someone (Littlefoot's mum.) Plus he's one of the reasons the 1st film was soo heavily edited down, as most of the deleted scenes  with Sharptooth in them.

Yes I like the early ones and the 7th one even though I wasn't keen on the digital inked and coloured animation. My favourite has to be the 4th one.

Well there are quite a few reasons. It's one of the few sequels that actually has a bit of an edge to it what with Littlefoot's grandpa becoming deathly ill. It was also the last one that I had no major problems with, and it was the last one were Cera was voiced by her original VA Candy Hutson. I prefer her over Cera's other voice from the 5th film onwards. Plus it has my favourite LBT song "It takes all sorts" in it.

The 6th. Secret of sarus rock... I remember watching it for the first time as a kid and HATEING it from the first viewing. Mainly cause of the annoying twins. I mean they were Cera's niece and nephew, when Cera's still a kid herself!? What were they thinking? And where, where their parents? They just got right on my wick, all they do is fart around, talk gibberish and make a fool of Cera.. And the stupid Western theme and hits that Doc is the Lone dinosaur.. Even though the evens of grandpa long necks story (which was told to him when he was a kid) tuck place a long long time ago.. What bugs me even more is that I read is was originally going to be the last LBT film!
Sorry if I went on a bit there...

I have a few questions:

1. What is your favorite Land Before Time film sequel?

2. What is the worst Land Before Time song you ever heard? (besides the ones from the sixth film).

3. Which Land Before Time character do you think has the best singing voice?

 :D  :yes  :wave  :smile  :p

1. The 4th film. It's the one I have the least problems with and I like all the songs.

2. Well. I don't like Big water and friends for dinner much.. But the song I really hate is the Mad song from the 8th film.. Soo embarrassing. It real sad that my most hated song was sung by my favourite character.

3. Well this is a tricky one. I've not really paid much attention to the quality of the singing voices.  But I do like Ali's singing voice in it takes all sorts. Well her VA was also a singer.

There are a few questions I have:

1. Are we allowed to use script format when writing stories on this forum?

2. What do you think of the terms the characters use? (for example; sleep story, bright circle, sniffer, sky fire, sky water, big water, sky colors, night circle, white ground sparkles, frozen sky stars, sky puffies)

3. Which movie do you think the series should have stopped at?

4. Can you name the Land Before Time sequels in which you like all three songs?

Those are all the questions I have for now.

Well I've never had this many questions before..

1. Yes you can. I've seen others do it in fan-fics, and I do it myself with my Bambo and OCs meet LBT stuff.

2. Well I don't mind the basic terms for everyday stuff in the early sequels. But they just went crazy with it in the later ones and I don't like it. It also bothers me is that in the 10th film they call dreams sleep storeys, and yet they called dreams dreams in the 6th and 7th film! And they say dreams during the best friends song in the 10th film too!

3. Now that's a bit of a tricky one..... At one point I though maybe the 10th would have been a good place to end (with a few re-weights that is) what with Littlefoot finally meeting up with his dad.
Or maybe 7 as it was the last one I really enjoyed.

4. LBT 2, 4, 7 and I guess 12 too.

Well that's quite a tricky one. Well I remember a joke you made in my Ducky happy Petrie not soo happy caption. Were you make a joke that Petrie was a radio DJ complaining about Ducky peeing in the watering hole. That made me genially laugh out loud.
LAnd I do like that you agree with me about Ducky and Petrie are the most likely characters to usesilky chikdhish slang for ccertain things. E.g. tootsies.  :lol

Funny thing is, I was going to have him actually wet himself (as Littlefoot Fan 1990 ended up doing), but I thought it would be a bit grotesque compared to the others jokes on that particular caption. Still laugh out loud funny though. :lol

More Questions:

1.) Do you think Chomper will ever find a girlfriend (and get her not to eat the Gang of Five and Ruby too I might add!) or will his "Leaf Eaters are friends, not food" program ensure that he is always single and thought a weirdo by fellow Sharpteeth?

2.)  Should they continue making movies ending with when all the main characters have kids of their own or would that be going too far?

3.) If Littlefoot and Chomper were to switch bodies for a week, do you think Littlefoot would bite Cera in the tail?

1. Erm not sure about that... It would be good if Chomper were to teach another female kid Sharptooth to be friendly.....

2. I don't know. I have this thing about not liking seeing kid characters I grew up with as adults.... Mind you it would be a good way to end the franchise or start a new generation.

3. No... Been a fan who loves Cera I wouldn't want to see that.

Well I've seen quite a few I can't remember them all but here the list. Pokemon, Tokyo new new, sailor moon, card captor Sakura, monster rancher, Candy candy, inuyasha, YU-GI-OH,  and most of the studio ghibli films.

Well my top 2 faves and recommends are pokemon as like LBT it was a big part of childhood for me, and I was real surprised when I read that in Japan some pokemon and LBT characters share the same VAs. Plus it was the first anime I saw.
2nd is Tokyo mew mew. Note though don't watch the English dub of this one it SUCKS! This one boosted my liking for animÈ an inspired me to draw humans anime style, plus this anime as some cute female characters:)

I should also say that my human OCs crossover with these anime's too.

I see. I've seen bits of Naruto but it didn't grow on me...  Another I like about Anime's is unlike most western cartoons, they have story arcs, and can been edgy and have guts to do dark things here and there. Plus they tend to have cute characters:)

BTW another anime I've seen and forgot to put in the list is dinosaur king.

Do you think Ducky doing karate when she is older would be a good addition or a bad one to LBT?

Ducky: You have maded me mad.  You have.  You have!  (Karate chops Domehead) Take that!

Also, do you think a plotline where Petrie would find that his father had followed Pterano and died would be a good plotline for LBT or a bad one?

I have a fanfic where Chomper accidentally kills the Old One.  Considering that it was by accident, he was protecting another Sharptooth, and that he had more or less been set up as the fight between the Old One and his girlfriend had been part of a trick of the main bad guy who later was exposed, would the Great Valley let him back in, even if they knew he hadn't meant to harm her, or would he be out for good after that?  (Be serious).  (One can assume that since the Old One's death, he did a few things that saved a ton of lives in the Great Valley too, so you have to take that into account.  Also, we can assume that the Old One's death was an aberration and that the Great Valley is positive it will never happen like that again.)

Do you think Chomper's parents are dead at the time of the TV series or are they still around?
(Assuming the latter, he could go back home with them after it appears that Red Claw is defeated.)

1. Oh no no. Ducky doing Karate... That's not her thing at all, I think it would be very out of character.

2. I think that would be too dark and morbid..

3 Not sure about that one.

4. I think there still alive. I mean seeing how dumbed down the franchises was by the TV show they wouldn't have to guts to kill parents off.
Title: Ask the Dalek
Post by: LittlefootAndAliTogether on January 22, 2015, 12:17:29 PM
Well, considering that the franchise may have different directors and stuff now, things might be different now.

Also, the dark events I spoke of would be in a LBT two part finale movie that would be in theaters (if I had my way with it all) and would be just as dark, and likely darker as we know a grown up Chomper is gonna bring trouble, than the original film of 1988.

I mean, maybe we could at last learn why Littlefoot didn't stay away from Chomper despite having lost his mother so close to the events of the second film.  I mean, we need to know if his move in keeping Chomper rather than letting him die in the sinking sands was a good move or a very bad one.

I for one, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, need to know what will happen with Chomper as it gets so close to the heart of the first film in some ways too.  I mean, if Chomper does go hunting Leaf Eaters and Littlefoot finds out, then you know that's gonna hurt him inside, wondering if Chomper will someday kill somebody else's mother and they'll have to go through what he did.

I admit, if we don't ever find out for sure that Chomper is truly a Friendly Sharptooth, and how he'd avoid eating Leaf Eaters when we come of age, I'll find that I've been disappointed with the whole franchise.

I know that Don Bluth would be man enough to handle this subject, but I sure hope that others will as well.

Another subject of interest is how Littlefoot will find a mate and continue his herd, also tying in to the first film, when he's the only longneck, that we know of, his age in the Great Valley and that Mama Longneck was gravely mistaken when she said that there would be other Longnecks to play with there.

The only female Longneck his age that we know of is Ali and we kinda had a little trouble in the TV Series as Littlefoot now has a rival to her, Rhett.

They mentioned a "next generation" at the end of the first film and I hope we see that before all is said and done.  I'd like to see Littlefoot tell his children about all of his adventures.  It would be SO cool!  Especially if the kids were to grow up in a post-segregation world that their parents helped create during the franchise.

I think the spots where they could have ended the franchise were

1.)  The first movie.

2.) Movie 10 (He could have gone with Bron)

3.) Movie 13 (They mentioned the words "Land Before Time" for the first time in the franchise and it almost seemed like an ending.)

However, now that there is a film 14, we need to end it when they are adults.

However, if they become adults, it almost certainly is going to get darker, as, face it, life as a kid, usually, is brighter and things get darker once you come of age or get around there.  Especially one would think that would be true in the dino world as the characters would  have things to think about as they got into their late teens and beyond that we don't really see yet:  (i..e, Grandma and Grandpa Longneck finally telling Littlefoot more about babies, not that we'd like to see that on screen  :wow  ,  and things like that.).  Also, we have yet to see someone fall in love (other than Topps and Tria, I guess) in LBT.

I almost thought that film V would be the last time we'd ever see Chomper, but he came back in the TV Series and hence I think they aren't done with him yet as he's so popular.  As for Ruby, I hope they bring her back too, even if she isn't as well known.

Redwall is a pretty epic cartoon from the UK, made in the late nineties. It has some well-deserved high praising: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redwall_%28TV_series%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redwall_%28TV_series%29)

Some people say that it is the best British Cartoon ever made (aside for the Watership Down TV Series). Check it out if you can, you won't regret it :)

Well I like the one you made on the one of Ducky and Petrie under Spike and refranced the fart scene from the 13th movie,  the one of Petrie complaing about Spike peed in the water he was drinking, one of Petrie saying he isn't ticklish,  Ducky telling Spike off for making a rude bottom noise, Ducky apologising for stepping on Littlefoots tootsies, another of Ducky saying sorry for wee weeing in front of everyone, and one you did a while back of Cera been unhappy about her current VA still been used for the 14th film, and from what Ive heard that might actually be happening.. <_<

I'mma steal your question :p

What would you do to console Cera if she is upset?
Ah had a feeling you may return the question.

Well say if I had befriended her well and gained her trust like my OCs Josh and Bambo, I'd pet her or cuddle her, speak comfort to her, and wipe her tears away for her.

A nice big bunch of yellow flowers. Seeing as she said she likes them in the 5th movie.

Had a feeling you'd return the question. Well this is quite tricks, as I always saw myself as a close friend to Cera like Bambo, or a better dad figure like Josh...  But yeah I think I would have liked her as a sister as a kid, as either her as a human like me. Or me as a triceratops like her.
Although I won't want Topsy for a dad... :x

Well I liked your loin king hula scene spoof in my Ducky hula dancing one, and your continuation of my caption in that one of Ducky doing a dance and song to apologies for the way she acted in LBT 8 to please Bambo. And your one of Petrie not making it to a relief spot in time. Your one of Ducky soaking her tootises to cool off been mad about them still using her current VA. Chomper saying his new desgin looks like Barney, Chomper running on a log to burn off the fat in his boy boobs. That's all I can think of at the moment.

In case you didn't get the reference, the song was Hard to Say I'm Sorry by Chicago, which is a song I think would be hard for me to think of her singing while doing the hula. I mean, why sing a ballad while doing it? :lol

Because that's what Sprite (and pretty much all sodas) does to you. Maybe I'll do another one, but on coffee...  :lol

Well one of Cera complaining about how the writers didn't show how Chomper and Ruby met, Ruby saying she had to go pee in her own words, Ducky and Petrie finding out someone peed in a stream, the gang laughing at a joke in a episode of  Animaniacs. That all I can think of right now.

I figured you'd notice that. I've used this in a couple of captions already, one with Ruby and another one with Guido. Basically an alternate to needing to "see a man about a wallabee" or something similar.

The episode in mind had Pablo Picasso in it. Not sure if you've seen/remember it or not.

Sorry I didn't reply to this right away didn't see this  first.

Yes I've seen the first 2 episodes of this years Dr Who.
I was good to see all the old daleks mixed with the modern ones. But they never explained why there were old and modern daleks together. And they never explained how Davros escaped the dalek base before it blew up back in the 10th Doctor era... And I was surprised that the BBC censors allowed Missy's line. "The bitch is back". As here in the UK swear like that can't be said on TV  until after 9PM. And the still haven't explained how Missy/ the Master became a woman. Which I and a lot of other fans don't like.

All in all I though this was an ok season opener, better then last years anyway.

Sorry I've taken soo long. I have had to  go back and check captions you commented on till now.

Well I like an old one you did saying the gang sing Chomper a lullaby while Ducky cuddles him,  One of Chomper saying sharpteeth just pee where ever they are, then Ducky saying he has his you know what out and Chomper is about to say penis but Littlefoot stops him, the Animaniacs potty emergency reference, the Yogi bear spoof, Ducky trying to do the twist, the SpongeBob anchovies spoof, and one of Petrie asking Littlefoot for help as his beaks poorly drawn. Well I am thinking of doing one or two of the Winnie the pooh refrance captions I made into comic's. The one I did were Petrie lands in a puddle and complians about his toes / tootsies getting wet and cold, the one were Bambo gets mad at the sound editors for playing big girls don't cry while he's comforting an upset Cera, the one if Ali seeing Littlefoot and all the other boy characters in a awkward pike up, the one were Spike sits on Petrie and makes a rude bottom noise on him, and another Disney refrance I did of Ozzy taking McLeeches eggs. One were the boys are in a pile up and Littlefoot says it can't get worse till Spike breaks wind. And a few more. But I am open to suggestions and ideas.

And I also might do a caption comic of Ducky doing her prehistoric version of this little piggy. And that one were Petrie owes up to farting while standing on top of Littlefoot and Cera while their piled on top of each other.
And one I did of a caption of a made up outtake from the 1st film when during the Ducky meets Littlefoot scene, she sneezes getting snot everywhere.
And another sneeze related one I'll do is when Petrie sniffed a flower which makes him snot up all over Ducky. XD

Well I did make a topic about songs I don't like now as an adult last year.
http://z7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffive/i...showtopic=13340 (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=12983)

But I'll tell you here anyway.

Songs I liked as a kid but not anymore.
Standing tough. My hate for Topsy has grown with age too and can't stand his singing.
When your Big.
The lone dinosaur song.
Bad luck.

And songs I don't like at all even when I was a kid are.
Big water
Friends for dinner
The mad song
The imaginary friend song
Say so
The yellow belly song
and pretty much all the songs in the TV show.
Especially ones by Topsy and the reprise of friends for dinner and big water.

Why do you ask?

Geez I don't realise not listing enough captions was such a big deal to you....  :o I mean I don't complain when you give short lists...

Anyway. The one about Chomper wetting the nest with a large amount of urine, the ones of Ducky saying she needs to go pee in here own words, the one of Cera asking who peed in the snow, Petrie and Ducky stuck under Spike and complaining that is their introduction to LBT 14, Chomper not been soo happy about doing another movie, Cera telling Petrie to stop telling a gross story, Cera finding out Spike peed in a spot, Ducky saying she honestly wasn't doing anything rude in a bush, Petrie complaining about the catering, Spike saying a bad word in front of everyone.
That's honestly all I can think off since you last asked.. Hope I cleared that up.

My own favourite caption jokes well..  The Winne the Poof spoofs I did, like Ducky saying Spike was rumbly in his tumbly, Spike signing the rumbly tumbly song in his head, Ducky telling Bambo and Cera off for laughing at Pooh getting his butt stuck in the honey tree, Ducky tootsie related ones, the one of Petrie wetting himself to get out of Spikes crushing hug, the Dumb and dumber references I did, and variations like Chomper asking wanna hear the funniest sound in the world and he farts, all the ones of Topsy been mocked or made a fool out of, Cera admiring Bambo off screen, any ones of Cera and Ducky complaining about been stuck with the same VAs, the one of Littlefoot and Cera having a fart related accident and vomit only for Ali and Bambo to show up,  the Freddie got fingered references I made, as well as all the Disney references I've done too.  That's all I can think of right now..

It wasn't really that big a deal; I just thought there'd be more for you to comment on, since I'm pretty sure I've done more captions at a time than you have (not to sound condescending or anything, I don't intend to do so at all). However, since you have clarified, all is said and done.  :yes

As far as short lists go, it depends on the number of weeks passed and captions you've done within those weeks. I'd probably give you a bigger list if you asked about what captions of yours I liked within the past two months or so. Again, it all depends on the things I'd mentioned.

Now onto the captions themselves...

Quote
The one about Chomper wetting the nest with a large amount of urine

Thus proving I may have been right about that theory.  Though I don't know about that large of an amount. :smile

Quote
the ones of Ducky saying she needs to go pee in here own words

Which ones? Cause I can't remember...

Quote
Cera telling Petrie to stop telling a gross story

I wonder what he could've been talking about...  :smile

Quote
Ducky saying she honestly wasn't doing anything rude in a bush

Of course, if she was lying, who knows what she could've been doing in there...other than actually doing her business.

I liked the other ones you mentioned as well. Nice list of favorites too.

Three questions.

1. Actually is a comment, but thanks for subscribing to my YouTube channel! I hope to focus on it more during the summer.

2. As we near the end of another month, as always, which caption jokes of mine this month did you like or simply get a laugh out of?

3. You don't necessarily have to answer here, but have you read my fairly recent LBT fanfic "Questionable Subjects"?

No problem I look forward to seeing more hopefully more LBT themed stuff.
I also check your sound cloud account now and then for any updates.

Ok.. Petrie getting slapped while trying to chat a girl up, Chomper being told her has cooties, Chomper getting soo bored he just pees where he's standing and cut to please stand by sigh, Petrie liking Ducky wiggle her toes a little too much and goes AWAY to get something out of himself :smile , Wild arms asking if they have homework,  Petrie suggesting to Ducky to use grass to clean her muddy bottom, Ali saying to Littlefoot in her sleep she wanted him to eat something of hers until the Director stops and tells her off. That all I can think off right now.

No I have read that. And to be honest, I'm not really into reading fics. Well feature length ones anyway. I've never really been a fan of reading for long periods of time. It feels it a chore for me..

Chomper being told her has cooties

Surprised no one has actually done that joke before now.

Quote

I'd continue the caption, but I know better than that. :p

Quote
Petrie liking Ducky wiggle her toes a little too much and goes AWAY to get something out of himself

Not even sure why I chose Petrie to be attracted by her feet. The caption was meant to be about boobs, but I couldn't find an appropriate caption to do it on. Probably would've been less appropriate anyways.

Quote
Ali saying to Littlefoot in her sleep she wanted him to eat something of hers until the Director stops and tells her off

You know which part Ali wants him to lick...! ...Her lips. Don't ask me why.

It's actually pretty short; I've seen you review fanfictions that are quick one-shots. Mine is really no exception. It's not on here for certain reasons, but you can find it on my DeviantArt account if you really want to look it up.  ;)

Sorry I've taken soo long.....  :oops  :sducky  I've been busy with other stuff.

Well anyway.

I like.. The one were Petrie says he's the new director of the franchise, Petrie saying Littlefoot has a zit, Your Rugrats naked Tommy reference, and that the diggers are Petrie's new back up singers. That's all I can think of really.. Hope that's ok

What makes it funny, obviously, is that he slips out a variant of Ducky's catchphrase.  :p

Sudden early puberty much?

--Your Rugrats naked Tommy reference
Had to do it. Applause for finishing Petrie's thoughts off.  :smile  :smile

Well I didn't know about it as a kid,  but guess it dose. Alough until the early 2000s all media  evolving nunchucks were edited in the UK. Though the DVD releases of the 80s cartoon and 90s movies have been restored to the original US cuts and had Ninja reinstatemented. Also that crappy live action series by Saban The next mutation was even worse when it came to the censors in the UK. I mean they censored the word weenie in some episodes -_-
