Hi!
I just realized that one webpage which has long been gone is back in the net. It is a webpage which claims that the land before time was meant to be 35 minutes longer than it is now. I frequently refered to the page in earlier messages. I'm not absolutely sure about the credibility of the page (35 additional minutes no matter if planned or not were definitely not cut from the later movies about 8 minutes were), but it certainly sounds interesting and perhaps there is substance to the claim that 35 more minutes were PLANNED. I didn't get any official confirmation from Don Bluth's webpage though. The url of the page is: http://www.gokufievel.com/land.htm

Reminds me of when we had that background image here and some people were whining about not being able to read the text.  Ugh!  -_-

I guess I was expecting a description of what was missing.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to see those 35 minutes...aside form my soul or one of my limbs, of course.

Hi!
Like I said, For all I know those 35 minutes were NOT produced. About 8 minutes were cut from the movie. Many of the deleted scenes included scenes which Steven Spielberg and George Lucas considered to scary for kids. Other of the outcut scenes showed Littlefoot's early discovery of the Great Valley (right after the quarrel with Cera). If those 35 minutes were really planned we can only speculate what they would have included. I read that the original idea was to emphasize the issue of racism among the different kinds of dinosaurs more than it was done in the movie as we know it. So I think it's quite likely that the Oasis-szene I quoted frequently might have been part of these 35 minutes.
