The gang was informed that some of them were going to be 'let go' on account of budget cuts.  Little did they know that Universal had rather draconian ideas of what being 'let go' meant.

Littlefoot:  "Oh man! We should have just taken the pay cut!"

Chomper:  "That's what I told you!"
