If you were to make a movie of your favorite game

Well, if you were a movie maker, and were given the opportunity to direct a film adaptation of your most favorite video game, how would you handle things? Which actors would you hire? If it were to have special effects, which company would you pick up? Would it be animated of live-action? Which writers do you believe would be the most appropriate? I would want to see good movie about GTA San Andreas story, story would include much more about family of CJ, how he lived before events of the game, about his friends, what happened behind the scenes of the game in many times (In similar way Lion King 3 about Lion King one, or Digimon Cyber Sleuth about Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Hackers Memory), and I would like to see at least two movies about it.
