The Fantasy Roleplaying RP is now the longest the GoF has ever had in terms of length, and is easily the most viewed. I have plans to keep it going for a long, long time...

The RP has seen players come and go, and activity levels rise and fall. At the moment, there are five RP players, but in effect, most of the new posts are made by just myself, Nick, and Chiletrek. Metadude posts as well, and Starfall has been known to show up every few days or so. It is only natural for such a very long RP to go through ups and downs in the number of its participants, but at this point, it would be good to see a rise.

Which brings me to the issue at hand. While the RP is clearly not new (been going since April 20th of 2009), I am seeing if anyone new is interested in joining it. Information for the setting has already been provided in the "potential RPG" thread here:

The RP is in its second major story arc, and will be going into a side-story soon... then, into the third arc. There are plenty of good opportunities to join.

Normally, this would be in the discussion page for the RP, but the issue is large enough to stand on its own, I believe.

Good idea. Here's a recap:

The RP takes place in a desert realm populated by a race of dragon-like people known as the Dracons. They live in many cities and as nomads, but it is the urban areas that are most relevant to their civilization. In the Dracon City of Minbenthac, a mercenary warrior Dracon named Adykon and a Rogue Dracon female named Rhiga take a quest from an old mage named Arcantas. After joining with many other adventurers, the party goes off to a lost city.



The lost city is a huge expanse of ruins and wastes. The party was tasked to find an artifact there, which they succeeded in finding, only to have it lost when Arcantas showed up and took it, revealing his true colors as an agent of evil. Along the way, the party had met more allies, including Minna and Isla, who were two rich Dracon females that befriended the party, and a couple of married archmages. Arcantas was killed when he was pushed off of a tower by Adykon before he could complete and evil spell which would have released a great evil from the artifact they had recovered from the lost city.

The party succeeded in stopping Arcantas, and for a time, the adventurers disbanded, only to come together again later when Rhiga was to marry a dracon by the name of Marcus, who worked in Minna's palace. In the end, Arcantas returned, Rhiga was kidnapped, and the party was attacked in a serious assault. After surviving the attack, the adventurers tracked Arcantas down to a long-lost valley in the middle of nowhere.



After further trials and tribulations, the party learned that Arcantas had been turned into a vampire after being killed by Asthia, a female dracon who was also a vampire. At one point, Adykon was kidnapped by Asthia, and a rescue attempt failed miserably. Despite this, the party survived and Adykon managed to destroy Arcantas for good. Asthia was killed by Arcantas, and her tower was abandoned by her men. Rhiga was rescued and reunited with her fiance. The party also managed to save Toby (a male dragon hatchling) and Gerasia (a young female dracon), two children taken by Asthia.

Now, the evil presence who was in command of Arcantas and Asthia has revealed himself, and has killed Vaeri, Rhiga's mother. The party is just about ready to return to the city of Minbenthac, and is currently on a quest to stop the Dark Master.
