Are Chomper's parents dead or ineffective?

For one thing, you think either Papa or Mama Sharptooth would have told their son that losing teeth does not mean that the rest of you is also going to fall apart (as Topps tried to trick Chomper into believing.)  Why was it Ruby, not his parents, who told him that first that it was normal???

Also, though Chomper's father is confused about the leaf gathering thing, he never bothers to ask his son why he's doing it.  He just worries about him.  (Of course, many parents today do that too.   :blink:  )

Also, there's the mystery of why they'd send Chomper off with Ruby rather than try and fight Red Claw themselves.
