Temporary removal of the LBT Wiki Link

Hi, this is just a short note to inform you that the link of our affiliate, the LBT Wiki has been temporarily removed. Apparently imageshack, the host of the image for the link has been attacked by some group of hackers. According to imageshack no images were lost in the process, but until things are back to normal (some of you may have seen that the image of the LBT Wiki had been replaced by a very large text field with the statements of that hacker group) we took the link from the page. It will be back once order is restored.

Is the LBT wiki run by one of our members by chance?

Several of our members are deeply involved with it. The Wiki itself ought to be okay as it was the picturehost imageshack that is being attacked. Our LBT Wiki members may want to create an image for a link that is hosted at a different place. That one could be brought back up right away.

I use to be involved there till I got a nasty message from one of the editors. I think another person here is an editor there but I don't recall who since I have not gone there since a day or 2 before Christmas.

No idea why folks find it fun to attack sites, but I guess they get their jollies that way.

I will re-add the LBT wiki's affiliate button as it seems things have been worked out over there.

I was the other user, one of the first users and second admin on the site. I left it like I did everything else back in April.

the hacking types wouldn't happen to be affiliated with Anon or /b/ would it?

they usually attack fan groups such as this.

but then again, if it were any of those two groups, all hell would break lose.

Perhaps we ought to host the image ourselves....if anything likes this happens again I'll look into it; but for the time being I'll consider it a one-time event.
