The topic is a very simple one. You simply name the worst way someone can die in a movie that you have seen. There are some pretty horrible deaths that have protrayed in many movies, and I want you to name the worst way you've seen someone die. Doesn't matter what, just had to have really happened in the movie.
I'll start.
One of the worst ways I've seen someone die right off the top of my head is Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid. It comes down to the final battle and she is creating the most terrible storm ever with the triton she had gained from the king. While doing this, she doesn't realize that she makes a suken ship start to float again. Eric baords the ship and controls it to make the splintered front of the ship impale her right in the chest, piercing the heart. Ugh! What a terrible way to go.
Well, your turn, everyone. :)
-
The way General Woundwort died in Watership Down.
"COME BACK AND FIGHT!!!!!!! DOGS AREN'T DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,"
-
The way Eddie Carr died in The Lost World; Jurassic Park.
-
this one is straing. but is horrid if you think of it.
Gigan from Godzilla Final Wars died. twice! first time he got killed was when Godzilla blew off his head with a blast from him heat Ray. the second (if you ask me is kinda gay) He fights Mothra and shoots two auto targeting circlar saws at her and they comeback and cut his head off. then Mothra does a suicide kill by blowing herself up with Gigan. in both cases Gigan looses his head. its a horrible way to die to me.
-
I don't remember the movie's name. I just saw it on tv once. An African American dude who was wearing a snow jacket was walking through a rich hotel and some weirdo with a chain saw came out from behind a banister and cut the guys head right off. Guts went everywhere and stained a nearby expensive painting.

That reminds me The Lion King, when Mufasa dies. Scar made think Simba he made the stampede, killing his father, but as most of you know, it was Scar's plan to kill Mufasa and Simba. *flashback* The hyenas were waiting for Scar's signal, to make Simba make a big roar, then the hyenas attacked the wildebeest herd, making a stampede. Scar went to Mufasa & Zazu, telling them that Simba was in the midst of the stampede. Then Mufasa & Zazu went to rescue Simba, who was hanging on an old withered tree. The rescue was succesful, Simba was saved, yet, Mufasa wasn't. Later, out of the stampede, Mufasa leaps out, hanging on the cliff. Scar was waiting on top, Mufasa asken his brother for help, then Scar clawed Mufasa's front paws and threw him down, to the stapede again. :o Then it's the sad scene everyone knows. :cry2 *end flashback*
My point is, this, to me, is an awful way to die. Poor Simba... :(

Getting yourself chopped in half by a Jedi knight.
Getting choked with the dark side of the force by Darth Vader.
Getting thrown into a Sarlacc pit. :x
Getting thrown down a really long shaft.
Getting thrown out into the vacuum of space....
-
I can name many awful ways to die that I've seen at least once in a movie:
-shot in the head
-having your head blown to pieces with a shotgun
-being sucked into your bed and then having all your blood shoot out all over the walls (Nightmare on Elm Street)
-impaled in the head
-having your throat cut
-decapitation
-amputation/mutilation
-wearing a collar with 8 gauge shotgun shells pointed right at your head and ready to go off at any second (Saw III)
-Pickaxed in the head (The Hills Have Eyes 2006 remake)
-hung
-Axe to the forehead(Friday the 13th)
-being shot and pinned against a door by arrows(Friday the 13th)
-Nailgun to the head(Final Destination 3)
-Your best friend standing in the corner being the last thing you see before being attacked from behind(Blair Witch Project)
-Burned alive
-Skinned alive
-Burried alive
-suffocation
-impalement
-destintigration
-blown to a million pieces
-crushed under a hydrolic press
I can go on and on...

I just remembered another movie I saw which I feel truely had THE worst way to die.
The movie is "The Passion of the Christ". To be fully honest, I actually wished I never watched this movie. All that blood was far too much for me. I still have occasional nightmares of it to this day.
Anyways, I'm sure a number of us know that Christ was crucified. Yet, it was HOW the movie did it all that made it stand out from all of the other movies that protray the very same scene. The creators were truely graphic with it. You truely couldn't watch this movie and the whole plot without seeing the sight of an extreme amount of blood.
They truely showed someone who was suffering through the whole ordeal. Every second you saw him, you can't help but feel the pain he's in. First they break his back. Then they nearly whip him to death with spike like whips. (They even protray a scene where the whip gets stuck in the skin and they force it out.) Next, he has a crown of throns placed on his head until blood oozes out. He gets rocks thrown at him. They have him carry his own heavy cross when his body was already weakened probably to the point of fatiuge. <sp?> (They even protray this nicely with the fact of him falling, unable to hardly move, and an innocent bystander helps him the rest of the way.) They then nail him to the cross, dislocating one of his shoulders in the process. Then, for a final treatment, he is put up there with two theives who were getting the same punishment, just not as severe as Christ was getting. He then suffers until his death. They then add in one last thing. After his death, one of the soilders pierced his side with a spear to ensure he was dead.
This, in the end, is truely the worst way to die, not only in a movie, but also in the entire human history.
At least, this is my opinion.
Now, if you don't mind, I need some fresh air. -_-

A creature breaks through your chest, killing you, then goes on to become a monster and kill your friends, too. (Alien)
Hand blown off, arm blown off, 50+ submachinegun wounds, final bullet to the skull. (Robocop)
Just about anything in the Saw series.

This contest is pointless because nothing will compare to that. -_-
This isn't meant to be a contest of any kind. Just a little something to discuss is all, nothing more. :^.^:
-
1. Getting ripped in half by the waist and still alive to see yourself being torn apart (Day of the Dead)
2. Your attacker suddenly pulls a sharp object up in front of you and you fall right on it, impaling you through the chest and heart. (Brother Bear)
3. Chainsaw pulled up through you from between the legs up in a rather slow and agonizing fashion. (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
4. Being sucked out of a space station through a VERY VERY small hole with sharp wires around it (Jason X)
5. Repeatedly hacked through the back while in bed with a machette and then having the attacker close the bed on you and breaking your legs and spine. (Freddy VS Jason)
6. You brave terrifying heights over burning fire, you survive climbing up an elevator shaft, you brave through a burning inferno and face your fears climbing through an air duct, all for the sake of seeing your sick relative. And what kills you in the end? A smack to the back of your head against a sharp object. (Poseidon [God that death sucked so bad after everything that girl went through.])
7. You get kicked off and plummet to your death onto sharp objects by a man who was suicidal a few minutes ago. And if impalement wasn't enough, a stuck elevator from above snaps and slams down on your impaled body. (Poseidon)

-suffocation
SINNNNNNNNUUUOUSSSSSSSS *sobs* Hate that rat for strangling him!
-
well since we're studying "horror" movies... or, as I heard recently, and makes more sense "torture porn" Cube, Cube 2: Hypercube, and Cube Zero also have Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures (I think) stamps on them, and of course Hostel, just read their wikis for what happens to who, then hate yourself for reading them (I hate torture porn movies, but I'm apparently a masochist for reading)
-
Oh man. Hostel. I'm never seeing that movie after hearing about what's in it. :x My favorite torture porn movies would probably have to be Saw and The Hills Have Eyes.

being crushed then swollowed alive by a big-ass snake. (Anaconda)
-
being crushed then swollowed alive by a big-ass snake. (Anaconda)
LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS *glares at movie makers*. That movie is ALL LIES! I don't need to see it to say I hate it :mad !
1. Snakes don't crush their prey, they suffocate
2. Did you know more people are killed by dogs, cats, pigs, horses, and lighting than snakes?
3. They don't travel in groups (a friend of mine saw it and told me that)
4. The largest anaconda was about 30 feet long...I don't believe in snakes growing over 40 feet
5. The prey is already dead when it is eaten
6. Large anacondas usually eat Capybaras, or small caimans; veeeeeeeeery rarely people because they don't often come were they are.
I hate animal horror movies, sometimes I wish they wern't allowed to be made (I'm defending the snakes, BTW ;) ...I always stand up for snakes)
EDIT: Here are mine:
1. Being run over by a car! (Those poor hedgehogs!)
2. Getting shot by a hunter/farmer (poor pheasants and rabbits)
3. Getting strangled by a rat after telling your mate you love them in a fancy way and then they tell you not to be so embarrassing (If getting run over by a car wasn't so terrible, I would have placed this as first! *shoots Town Rat* I love Adder and Sinuous!
4. Getting bitten to death by a higer predator (One reason why I hate Scarface. Poor Mrs. Vole, Mrs. Rabbit, and Mrs. Hare!)
5. Being worn out after a long time of getting shot in the leg, having your eye scraped across by a trap saving a badger, and a whole mess of other things (I didn't watch Bold's story since it takes so stinking forever)
6. Getting bitten and tossed about by foxes, badgers, and snakes (eh...don't care much for the rats)
7. Old age (The best way to die *sigh*)
* Falling from great hights (serves Gaston right!)
*getting sucked into a plane engine (Gerrk! Poor Stratogale and Syndrome!)
* Stabbed through the stomache (Eh, Inigo got revenge for his father, so I don't care much  )
* Having your head hacked off by a mouse of all things! (How humiliating! And I liked Asmodeus a bit...wasn't on his side, but I still liked the snaky)
Getting killed by a snake is NEVER EVER on my list. I love them too much to think poorly of them. Plus serves Scarface right <_<

Riding a rollarcoaster and having it fly apart when you're at the top or the ride. (Final Destination3)
-
Well, isn't this a pleasant discussion? :P:
In "Speed": Losing one's head to an overhead metal beam while riding on the roof of a fast-moving train.
-
WARNING: May have Deathly Hallows spoilers!
*Being hit by Avada Kedavra
* Getting hit in the chest by a really strong Expelliarmus!
* Having Avada Kedavara rebounded on you
* Getting crushe by a wall
* Having your head hacked off by a sword
* Getting hit in the back by a flying dagger (DOBBY!!!)
-
I'm not sure which movie this was but...
getting shot at 100 times in the heart. (THAT'S OVERKILL!)
-
Snakes don't crush their prey, they suffocate
Based on a documentary I have seen on snakes, they discover that the prey doesn't die from suffocation. If I recall correctly they die from blood vessels popping in the brain due to the extreme pressure. Also, if I heard correctly, some prey are indeed crushed (or at least bones are broken) by snakes, depending on the size of the snake and the size of the victim.
I hate animal horror movies, sometimes I wish they wern't allowed to be made
I am no fan of horror movies, but animal horror movies always intrigued me, despite the fact I rarely see them. I know that horror movies exaggerate many aspects of animals to make them scarier, but it's all for entertainment.
-
The way Littlefoot's mother died. Can you imagine how much that must have hurt? :o

They prey would have to be itty-bitty then, but I don't think I can proove that theory. I gave my snake a pinky mouse (because my next door neibor's corn snake died and they had one pinky left over, but I wasn't surprised since he wasn't doing well) and the poor snake had it in both sides of his mouth when he grabbed it and couldn't get it in. Something as small as a pinky mouse and the mouth of a two foot ball python wouldn't need much work. I only beleive in non-venomous snakes constricting than breaking bones...unless there was a really strong one and your arm broke after squeezing it for some time  . Ouch!
But I think you could be right about the blood vessles popping, but I guess that's an affect of extream suffocation...hm...I need to go to FW.net and the Sinuous discussion then *is dizzy*
Speaking of snakes eating, I gotta feed my snake tonight!
-
But I think you could be right about the blood vessles popping, but I guess that's an affect of extream suffocation
I'm going to have to watch it again though. But from what I heard, it has to do with rupture of blood vessels and I think internal organs as well, and that's what kills most of its prey. I think that only the largest of its prey would die from solely suffocation. But yeah I'm going to have to watch the program again. It was called Super Snake.

The drowning of the fishermen in "The perfect storm" makes me feel very uneasy. Both ways to die that involve water (drowning and dying of thirst) seem to be particularly unpleasant to me. I cannot rank those ways of dying worse than the countless other ways but it certainly wasn't the way I hope to pass away.
The death of William Wallace in Braveheart was not not pretty either. They didn't even show you which parts of his body they cut of and mutilated (you don't want to know). You really, really don't want to know how the historical king Edward II. died (though he appeared as a villain in the movie Braveheart his death was no topic in the movie). Did I make you curious? You DON'T want to know!
-
howbout having your intire planet devoured by a giant monster planet. with you on it. Unicron fron The Transformers the movie.
or have your planet blown up by the Death Star.
-
Oh.... I've got some.....
being forced head first through a TV( Friday the 13th :Dream Warriors. It's like the 4th or 5th one Maybe the third.)
Being killed by the killer when you're sitting on the toilet. (And trust me this really happened in the remake of Halloween. One guy was using the bathroom and Michael Myers kicked the stall door open and killed him)
Being strangled by a shower(Final Destination 1)
Being killed on a roller Coaster (Final Destination 3. I was scared of roller coasters before this movie now I will hardly get near one. :D  )
Having a ice skate get shoved through your head (Halloween H20)
Being killed while being in bed with your significant other(I can not tell you how often I have seen scary movies like that)
Having your head cut off by an Axe while you're working out.(Final Destination 3.)
-
An explosive charge placed into your head and activated (M:I 3)...dude, the headaches alone would make me put my head through a wall. And having your eyes roll in the back of your head and the last thing you would ever know on this earth is the pain and buzzing in your head...
-
In "Speed": Losing one's head to an overhead metal beam while riding on the roof of a fast-moving train.
I remember that. That actually seems to be a commonly used death involving standing on fast moving trains. :p
I'm not sure which movie this was but...
getting shot at 100 times in the heart. (THAT'S OVERKILL! )
Maybe you're thinking of the first Matrix. Although he didn't actually die.
As for me, it's dieing to a plague.

Manny Cav, for the sake of the forum, please remove that animation and just explain it.
I'm afraid of what will happen to this place (and to you) if that stays around. -_-
-
I didn't think there was anything wrong with it, but I'll remove it if you request it.
It was basically an animation of a guy's head exploding (granted, I don't think the guy's head actually exploded, there was just a red expansion placed on the picture, but still...).
-
Being possessed by a demon for too long.
-
For me, the worse way to die in a movie would be to die alone in a torture chamber after many months of...well, you know... We've all seen "Braveheard" and movies about the Crusades at least once, right?
Me: "You people are inhuman! I'll never tell you anything!" :cry2
torturer: "Aw, but think of all the children you may one day have. You them finding out about this chapter of your past?"
Me: "WHAT CHILDREN?! You know I can't ever have any now that you've gotten your hands on me!"
Torturer: "Oh, well." (Raises me into the air my a chained hands and lowers me into a cauldron of boiling oil.)
-
There is only one worst way that grossed me really out and that some sort of acid spat into the face of this person on the film Cube... some of those deaths was gross and really scary.
-
Does Anime Count?
If so, the anime "X" Has a dude fail to complete his mission, then is literally sucked into himself, with a hemogyeser from the small lump that is his body.
And in "Elfen Lied." Being Killed by having your head ripped off by a naked, psychic elf girl in a helmet, and then having your body used as a human shield against thousands of bullets.
Those'd both just suck.
-
Does Anime Count?

That makes me think about the scenario of two things eating each other out of existance....
-
Having your face sliced off with a katana. Happened at the end of Equilibrium with the big "end battle" of the movie. Can't remember who the victim was though...
-
when that women gets cut in half in alien vs predator 2, being eaten alive by zombie's in any zombie film, geting a facehugger from any of the alein film's on your face and then brusting out of your chest and being sliced up by afro samurai
-
geting a facehugger from any of the alein film's on your face and then brusting out of your chest
There's something about that from VG Cats.
I can remember just one particular part...
"OH MY GOD!!! They're rapeing your Face! That's HORRIBLE!"
"Yeah, not bad enough that they kill you, ya also get a face full of alien wing-wong before you die..."
-
Everything in the Saw series, Hostel series and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning :x. Also being impaled, pushed out of an airplane, being shot fatally, and having one's throat cut. I can't think of any worse.
-
Being torn in half by two pissed off, hungry Tyrannosaurus rexes after saving people you only kinda know.
-
Getting your head cut off with a Katana
-
Anything where right before you're killed you realize your whole life has been a failure and you're about to die for nothing. (this would just be icing on the cake for all the other suggestions given)
-
Hmmmm, there are many worst ways to die in Movies.
I think I decide me for guinea pig part 2. There is a sick Samurai who kidnapped a woman and cut off one limb after the other.
Oh man this Scene go over 40 Minutes!
-
The worst for me is on Mission: Impossible (i think) where this guy is on top of an elevator and the elevator starts moving upwards until the guys face goes directly into a sharp object at the top.
-
Getting run over by a tank.
-
Just watched "The Other Boleyn Girl."
Getting the axe.
Man! Henry VIII was a piece of work, to nicely put it.
-
Getting run over by a tank.
That one totally beats mine.
-
Massive expressway pile-up(Final Destination 2)
-
Pissing off a samuri.
-
:slap :bang
Sorry if I offended anyone with the mutilations thread. My only intention was to start a thread in which death was not involved. My apologies, folks .
Rollercoaster freak accident(Final Destination 3).

Final Destination 3 - Getting stuck in a tan bed and burning (god I hated that scene)
Saw 3 - The Rack (need I say more?)

Also from Final Destination 3- getting stapled through the head by a nail gun :x.

Getting run over by a subway
-
Silent Hill or Sweeny Todd--Being Burned alive... :x
-
Saw 4 - Two gigantic blocks of ice on two arms swing down and smash your head into pieces
Final Destination 3 - Two weights from a machine breaking off, swinging down, and smashing your head into pieces
Alien - Having an alien born from inside of you break through your stomach
-
Total Recall - Hanging from an upwards-moving elevator with both arms - forcibly, I might add - and then having them crushed off by the elevator's floor filling the gap for the next floor, and falling to your bloody, armless death, then Schwarzeneggar (hope I spelled that right) throws your arms down the shaft...
EDIT: For that matter, ANY way to die in Total Recall would be pretty gruesome, except for simply getting shot. That would have to be the LEAST gruesome way to die in that movie...
-
The way John Connor's adoptive father died in Terminator 2. Stabbed through the face by a robot copy of his wife!
-
Here's a thought...
Dante's Peak - Jumping into a lake that had turned to acid.
Volcano - Jumping into lava and slowly melting into it.

From Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, right?
Here's one:
Having your face melted off...
-
I've got one from Resident Evil: Being stuck in an elevator door when the brakes give away, and your stuck halfway outside the doors facing the floor!
-
In my opinion, the worst way to die in a movie is to die in a movie.
In all seriousness, the worst way to die in a movie is death by killer rabbit. Or by giant snake. I'm not talking about the 30+ foot long snakes. I'm talking about the mythological 200+ feet snakes that have heads the sizes of cars. Which are purely mythological.
Another bad way to die in a movie is by getting (brutally) murdered by Bender.

Cloverfield

Just saying it isn't enough.

That black guy, Steven was his name, in "The Edge" (which is one of the better movies ever made)
Got eaten alive by a bear...
Spartanguy88, that was one of the more different death scenes I've ever seen... Man, I hate when humans scream like that while dying... I just hate it!

Having a flamethrower on your back and having the pressure valuve shot off.

getting eaten by bugs

getting eaten by bugs
Yay! Starship Troopers!
-
Having a XBox 360 crush your skull.
-
I've got one from Resident Evil: Being stuck in an elevator door when the brakes give away, and your stuck halfway outside the doors facing the floor!
Just being stuck in an elevator that crashes is bad enough :o! I swear, ever since I saw that movie, I startle whenever an elevator jerks while I'm in it :bang.
Speaking of Resident Evil, how about the scene where the three people are trapped in that tunnel and the lasers keep coming at them, a different design each time. The last guy got diced by a chain-link designed laser :x.
Here's another one from a movie I did not care for: In Hostel II, when the guy who refuses to kill his victim gets mauled and eaten by a pack of killer guard dogs :x. Yikes! Bad doggies! Baaad doggies!
-
getting eaten alive by a very big snake-like creature, and then being digested alive (Deep Rising)

Oh boy, this must be horrible...
Getting buried alive.
OMG!
That is TERRIBLE!
-
^ We had that one (under the cheers of Littlefoot and the others) in LBT 6. Life burial I mean. It was a scene which (with special regard to the earlier lessons about Chomper) I found difficult to swallow.
-
Get your heart ripped out, and then, while still being alive, be lowered down into a pool of lava and burned to death (Indiana Jones)
Another is being overrun by small beetles, and eaten by them (The Mummy)
Or, get smashed into a wall by a giant Makro shark, and then ripped in half by it (Deep Blue Sea)
-
Or, get smashed into a wall by a giant Makro shark, and then ripped in half by it (Deep Blue Sea)
Lol, I remember that movie! Samuel L Jacksson got pwnd! :lol
The special effects in the movie were terrible though. Ex: when Jacksson dies, you can clearly see it's computer graphics! :D
-
Aye, but the animatronics were genius. Became a bit afraid of going into the water, after that movie :lol
-
Being split from one end to the other- Candyman :x.

Aww, that must have hurt.
Getting choked by another man

Jumping from a ship and being eaten by a giant shark.

How about the shower scene from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, you've got a woman taking a shower, seems normal the woman(Marion Crane) is just enjoying her shower then when the audience least expects it, someone(Norman Bates) rips the shower curtain open and starts to stab Marion with a butcher knife, soon the killer leaves and when Marion falls dead she tears the shower curtain down then the camera has zoomed in to her eye and slowly zooms out then the movie continues.
seriously unless you saw through the shower curtain you would'nt know that was coming.

The way Doc Smith in Carnosaur died, he had a full thirty round magazine from an M4-A1 unloaded into him, then was set on fire, and then they just ended the movie there!
Like one, this guy was stabbed in the gut with a knife earlier in Anacondas: Trail of Blood.
Then near the end of the movie, the lead girl kicked him off the jeep after pulling the pins of his grenades, and as the snake was tearing him to pieces (literally!), the grenades go off, and him and the snake are every where on the road.
Sasquatch, this girl runs off into the woods and is torn in half by a big foot.
EDIT: I could name tons more other than these!

The worst death I've even seen wasn't even in a movie, it was in a game.

I hated watching that scene, I was very tempted to skip it, I've seen worse deaths, but that was just brutal, I can handle bloody deaths; but when it comes to something like somebody being in an eletric chair-that's pushing it for me.
But wouldn't the wet sponge make it worse when they are put in the electric chair? I never got what the point of it was.

From The Green Mile Wiki:
Instead of wetting the sponge, used to conduct electricity and make executions quick and effective, he leaves it dry, causing inmate Eduard "Del" Delacroix's (Michael Jeter) execution to be botched.
In other words, water acts as a conductor of electricity, and the wet sponge was supposed to make the execution quicker and more humane.

Here's three (hey, I couldn't resist. They were too gruesome) from Final destination 3. The final destination movies are so scary and bloody to me. And I really don't like them but since I was on here, I'll tell them anyway.
The first one was were these two girl were in tanning beds (you can guess how they go) and one girls drink spills and goes to the electrical cords that power the beds. Then to make things worse, when they start feeling the heat they try to get out but they can't. Objects (I can't remember what they were) are on the beds so they're trapped. And, you guessed it, after screaming for what seems like 5 minutes they burn to death and the next scene is two coffins in a graveyard for each girl. What a way to go.
The second one is this really tough black guy (I'm not racist but he is black) who's working out. And this girl and her friend are trying to convince him that he's the next one to die but he doesn't believe it. Then with every machine going full out it rattles the equiptment and there's two swords right above the machine the guy's on. But he doesn't die that way. No. The machine the guy's on is one where your lifting two weights by pulling on wires that are attached to the back of the machine. And the one of the swords falls and every one see's it fall but the guy survives. But it cut's the wire attached to the wires that hold the weights in place. He lets go of the strings and BOOM! Right in the face is where the weights collide. Ouch...
The third one is where this girl and her boyfriend are working at a woodshop and the guy gets a nail gun. Then two people come along and scare the lights out of them and the guy drops the nailgun. Then everything falls. It's a domino effect and the worst part is one pile lands on the gun. It doesn't go off. Then the girl's boyfriend think that they can cheat death and just as they say this...the nailgun goes off...right into the girls face. She whimpers as blood gushes out and then dies. Aww man that was gruesome.
Well, that's it. For anyone who's ever seen any Final Destination movies. (I've only seen the first and third one) You should know just how bad these deaths are. Gosh I hate final destination. In fact most horror movies just give me the creeps! I've never seen a saw movie belive it or not. I also really hate The Mummy. Ugh! :x Having your tongue sliced off, mumified alive, and have little flesh-eating bugs crawel all over you? Gross! :x
-
...continuing the final destination movies, in the fourth one:
This guy was swimming the in the pool when he dropped his "lucky quater" down the drain, after it some how was opened, and he got his but stuck to it, and most of his insides were sucked out of him. I skipped the part where the expload out of the container that was holding the water (mostly because I was eating when I was watching FD4).
But Final Destination 5 is more like first-not as graphic, but more dark and less comedic than 2, 3 and 4.

That really wasn't the scariest movie. Even though it was based off actual events, the movie could've been much better. That scene is really not that graphic ;), though it would still be a really sucky way to go :confused.

Not long after that one came out, there was a story in the news about some dude who decided to off himself by taking a nailgun to his head. He pierced his brain at least ONE HUNDRED times...and the attempt was unsuccessful  :wow. He didn't even have brain damage :!. Sheesh, how did he manage to pull that off :crazy?

That was really the point of the entire franchise. All the deaths were pretty unrealistic and depended solely on coincidence for them to happen. Nevertheless, they were all still very gruesome.

Man, I'm going to have nightmares tonight. Why? Not a movie, but I seriously must post it.
Season 2, Episode 3 of V - Being kept alive due to a drug while being skinned alive and having your inner parts being ripped out. All done for gathering information. At least the guy was kind enough to give the victim a sedative after all the information possible was given, but still, terrible way to die.
Is it just me or is TV trying to catch up with movies in this area?
-
This is the absolute worst way I have ever seen anybody die. This puts any horror movie death I have ever seen to shame. I can't really explain it here, so I'll just post the video. Don't worry, it's not graphic at all, it's purely psychological torture at its utmost worst. It's also not a movie, but rather an episode from an anime.

^You want to see horrible?
Watch Frankenfish, half way through one of the fish attacks a guy and tears his intestines out when he is alive. :x
Oh please, that sounds like nothing.
You want truely disgusting and the likes. Piranah, the newest movie out on DVD now. Many, many scenes in that have vicious piranah eating people alive in the worst ways possible.
And there are even some none piranah deaths in there as well that are gruesome. One in particular, a wire flies out and strikes a girl and her bikini top falls off to expose her bare breast, only for seconds later, her top part, including her breast is revealed to be severed as it falls down into the water.
And that's while, in the water, the piranah are attacking the Spring Break goers.
And the aftermath....oh boy....the aftermath.....
-
^Yeah, I've read about what's in the movie on IMDB.
I'd watch Piranha 3-D if it wasn't for all the nudity in the movie. :x
It sounds like Final Destination 3 or Jeepers Creepers with Piranhas.
EDIT:
This is the scene I mentioned in Frankenfish:

Its in spanish, so might as well keep the sound off if you don't know the language.

Hehe, I looked at Piranha today at Blockbuster. I dunno, it looks kinda silly :p. I check movies I rent to see if it says "sexual content" or "strong sexual content" on it before I decide to rent it. I can handle brief sexuality, but anything past that is...just... :x.

Worst way to die in a movie? Tough for me to pinpoint for myself since I've seen so many interesting ways to die in movies. Dr. Tyrell's death in Blade Runner was definitely a terrible way to go. Making out with a humanoid robot you created before it starts crushing your head because you can't give it life beyond its 4-year span? Being killed by your creation? Terrible way to go.

Although those douchebags deserved it, it was still a pretty bad way to go. :x

That reminds me of a death in Megapiranha, the main character fired a 9mm flare into a soldier's mouth and his head exploded all over the helicopter.

In H.G. Being a huge fan of Japanese movies, I've seen my fair share:
1. From an action movie of unknown name: Having sliced your enemy's stomach open, complete with intestines spilling, he then proceeds to grab them, stretch them out of his own chest and strangle you to death with them.
2. From Tokyo Gore Police: OH man, where do I begin? Well, first there was the bit where the cop gets a working chainsaw thrown in his mouth, then there was that pimp being stabbed with pipes that led to her mouth, so as she died from blood-loss, she also drowned on her own blood, and there was that whole bit of the guy being executed via a Nintendo Wii.....
3. Anything in the SAW movies.
4. L from the Death Note anime. Seriously, you finally pinpoint who the mysterious KIRA is, and that he's standing right next to you, and what happens? You suddenly die, thanks to a meddling Shinigami!

And this death too, a man has his insides ripped out of him by the Pterodactyl nestlings while he is alive. That HAS to be the worst way to die after the next one I'm going to talk about.

Again, I've seen worse. This is one of the most mild movies I've seen.
Day of the Dead
The worst ways to die I've seen as of now is probably Capt. Rhodes, Pvt. Rickles and Pvt. Torrez in Day of the Dead. They are all torn to pieces and eaten by zombies while they are alive.
Torrez: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH6lVnIJG9A...tailpage#t=412s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH6lVnIJG9A&feature=player_detailpage#t=412s)

Although Rhodes deserved it for what he did in the movie. He shot two main characters to death and threatened five others on many occasions with his guns.

I was watching this movie Frozen. (three friends get trapped on a ski lift during a blizzard) One of the guys attempted to jump down to go get help. He ended up landing on a patch of packed ice and suffered compound fractures. After a while a pack of wolves, having ventured in after the ski resort shut down, has smelled the blood and they kill him.
He jumps

Since I've been in a Star Trek mood lately, let's go over some of the lovely ways you can die in space.
As I mentioned before, simply being a redshirt guarantees you a horrible death, typically at the hands of the Monster of the Week.
In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, a nameless science officer falls victim to a transporter accident. This line pretty much sums it up: "Enterprise, what we got back didn't live long. Fortunately..."
In Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan: I shudder to think of the horrible torture Khan subjected to the scientists on that research station before killing them. Apparently the film's novelization goes into much greater detail but I haven't read it. Also, Spock dies of radiation poisoning. That's a pretty lousy awful way to go.
In Star Trek 3: Search for Spock, we get treated to the lovely sight of a klingon grunt getting disintegrated from the inside out all while screaming in agony.
In Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country. Getting shot with a phaser while floating helplessly with no gravity would be a lousy way to die.
Star Trek: First Contact: This is the first time, at least as far as I know, where we actually get to see the process of being assimilated by the Borg. At one point a crewmen is shown writhing in obvious agony while hi skin changes color after being injected with Borg nanoprobes.
How about the admiral in Star Trek; Insurrection who gets subjected to the face-stretchy machine thingy. Ouch.
In the 2009 Star Trek film, an early scene shows a crew member getting sucked out through a hull breach into the vacuum of space. The camera lingers just long enough to show their flailing body bounce off a phaser bank.
Also, the entire population of Vulcan gets sucked into a black hole and presumably reduced to subatomic particles.
In Star Trek: Into Darkness... (spoiler alert!)

Ships in Star Trek use inertial dampeners to protect the crew from being pulverized by the sudden acceleration/deceleration of the ship while it's traveling at warp speed. Keeping that in mind, there is a scene where the Enterprise is attacked while traveling at warp speed, during which a massive hole is torn in the hull resulting in several crew members getting sucked out into space. While the ship is traveling at warp... You go from a standstill to suddenly being exposed to the vacuum of space where you are no longer protected by the ship's inertial dampeners. Basically, your body would be instantly eviscerated by the massive trauma.
Also, there's this lovely gem...
Khan (while squeezing Admiral Marcus's head with his bare hands): YOU SHOULD HAVE LET ME SLEEP! (insert sickening crunching sound here)
In happens offscreen so we thankfully don't see it. But still, that awful crunching sound, accompanied by the horrified reactions of the characters drives the point home. Sweet dreams!
-
Picture removed for excessive gore. This is a forum about a kids movie and while we follow a policy of as little admin intervention as possible we discourage any attempts to make this forum a place for masses of blood and gore images.
-
That's a very horrible way to die.
-
In "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" we have the oh lovely scene of Judge Doom taking an innocent shoe toon and slowly lowering it into the Toon Killing Acid known as Dip. We even get a brief shot of how it effects said toon, before we cut to the horrified faces of the human on-lookers. Simply put, nothing remains of the toon. What a way to go!
-
Final Destination Being killed on a rollercoster buy hving the ride cart fly off and I think the guys head get's his head knocked off.
-
How about A Bug's Life, where the main villain, Hopper, is swallowed whole by a baby bird? Even better, we get to see it from his point of view. The digestion process thankfully happens off-screen.
-
Okay, this is one I saw while binge watching stuff on Netflix.
A serial killer getting dumped into a pool of chemicals designed to dissolve the body. On top of that, he was awake and tied up.
-
I can think of a few horrible ways to die in Movies:
Volcano - Deliberately jumping onto molten rock, screaming to no end while being evaporated thanks to the near one-thousand Kelvin. Especially given that this was an avoidable, and thus pointless death had they shut down the Subway like they should've.
Volcano - The two fire-fighters who were also evaporated when Tommy Lee Jones had to leave the overturned engine to rescue his daughter who had wilfully ignored his clear instruction to remain in the car.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Every Single Death which you can pin squarely on the 'Heroes'. That is, Every, Single, Death.
Noticing a pattern here?
-
The scene of the villain in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade drinking out of the wrong Grail and literally aging into dust instead of turning immortal comes to mind. Geez, choosing poorly indeed.
-
The scene of the villain in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade drinking out of the wrong Grail and literally aging into dust instead of turning immortal comes to mind. Geez, choosing poorly indeed.
He should've taken his own advice of 'Not Trusting Anyone', in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Elsa shakes her head at Indiana, letting him know that she Intentionally chose a False Grail. But...given her freaking out at Donovan's attempt to take her to the Grave with him, it's clear she didn't expect him to take his time to die.
Was in my 20's before I could actually watch that scene, so I'd agree with you on this.
And essentially being Trolled by that Knight was just Icing on the Cake. :lol
-
How about in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The Indoraptor getting double impaled. Ouch!
-
Okay, let's add in The Avengers. The first one.
I'm sure any way those snake things were killed by them.
Seriously, it was just awesome carnage destruction. I loved it.
