Ok, I was just curious.

There are 50 people in the U.S. named Jackie Chan.

There are 8 people in the U.S. named Chuck Norris.
But when Chuck Norris finds out, there will only be one by the end of the day.

There are 908 people in the U.S. named Bruce Lee.
WTF?

There are 36 people in the U.S. named Homer Simpson.
LOL!

There are 415 people in the U.S. named Peter Griffin.
Again, LOL!

There are 23 people in the U.S. named Donald Duck.
What were the parents thinking?

There are 102 people in the U.S. named Harry Potter.
They must get teased a lot.

There are 6 people in the U.S. named Clark Kent.
Again, what were the parents thinking?

There are 705 people in the U.S. named Peter Parker.
There is a whole army of Spider-Men! :lol

There are 412 people in the U.S. named Steve Rogers.
So there are a bunch of Captain Americas running around too?

There are 371,829 people in the U.S. with the first name Aaron. Statistically the 156th most popular first name.
99.17 percent of people with the first name Aaron are male. (I'm female :) )

There are 1,487 people in the U.S. with the last name Whitcher.
Statistically the 19232nd most popular last name.

There are 2 people in the U.S. named Aaron Whitcher.

I figured I'd get a low number for the last one, I have a common first name, but my last name is not so common, there are a lot more Whitcher's than I thought.

Pretty cool though... ^.^

I was going through some old threads that I had previously posted in, and when I got to this one, I realized that I hadn't tried searching the Three Stooges' names on this site. :idea :p :lol

So I did it, and these were the results I got:

Moe Howard: 1

Larry Fine: 40

Curly Howard: 1

Shemp Howard: 1 or fewer

Pronounced "pan-JEE-uh". Spelled with three A's. Represented by a Lystrosaurus.

My first and last name is pretty common.  I did a search some years back out of curiosity and found quite a few.

I wonder how many there are of the 3 stooges under their non stage names, and before Shemp changed his name since when his mother said Sam, his name being samuel, due to her thich accent it sounded like Shemp, or so I read somewhere.  Not sure when they changed their last name to howard or if that was just a stage last name they all used.

F-14 Ace, I think a good number of those are actually Legal Name Changes.  Basically, <insert name here> is not their REAL name that their parents originally gave them.

Still, some pretty funny stuff there!

Some of those probably were legal name changes after Pirates hit it big. ;)  :exactly

^ The site only searches for names in the United States, not the entire world. I'm guessing the figures aren't necessarily 100% accurate all the time, either (There may very well be people in the country who, for one reason or another, are not in the database). Not to mention that it apparently doesn't cover people under 13 years of age. I think it's mainly a “just for fun” thing that allows you to find out approximately how common a given name is.

I didn't bother searching for the Stooges' original names, mainly because I'm still not clear on what Larry's name was (different sources I've seen state his first name as either Louis or Lawrence, and his last name as either Fine or Feinberg). I know that Moe and Curly's given names were Moses and Jerome, respectively, and their surname (shared with Shemp) was Horwitz.

I wasn't expecting my name to be particularly unique but here's what I got:

* There are 1,027,797 people in the U.S. with the first name Jason.
* Statistically the 39th most popular first name.
* 99.7 percent of people with the first name Jason are male. (would love to meet the other 0.3% of Jasons that are female :lol )

# There are 82,558 people in the U.S. with my last name.
# Statistically the 406th most popular last name.

- There are 273 people in the U.S with my name

Evidently I'm a dime a dozen (I believe the American saying goes :p)

Did you look up Sanjaya? I heard back in 2007 that it is a very popular name.
And what about Robert?
