Went to Gettsyburg twice, screwed around in the dark late at night and alone and didn't have a problem.

Huh.

I was going the bathroom once (at my house), and when I was washing my hands, something hit the door very hard, and when I opened the door, nothing was there. I asked my mom if she did it, or saw anything, she said no. I still don't know what it was that hit the door. :confused

I've once had my room door closing on me when I was here playing with friends in my room. When I opened it to see who closed it no one was there, they were all downstairs. It was very odd, but probably just a prank.. Never certain though.

Here's another one:

My parents were gone somewhere a few months before I joined gang of five, I went upstairs to look for something I drew, and the whole time I was in my bedroom looking for it, I felt like I was being watched. But I shouldn't have watched A Haunting (tv series on discovery channel about hauntings) right before I went up there, suddenly a chill whent down mine spine, and I had a prickly feeling on my back, sides and chest. Everytime I'd itch one, they would start itching again, and I had the same feeling at school today in Pre-Algebra class. I was like "What the heck?" It feels like some one is jabbing a bunch of really tiny needles or pins into your skin. Also, whenever I was home alone, if I say go upstairs and walk back down, I feel like I'm being watched even when my parents are home, and my dog is asleep in here cage.

We had a topic before on paranormal experiences (I just can't find the thread, though).  Some of us talked about personal experiences with relatives.  My one experience was in Italy, which in a way I saw a "shadow person" in relations to descriptions from other stories.  I still couldn't solve the mystery of what I saw, so I could say I saw something paranormal.

Okay, now this is getting wierd.

Last night, at about 9:30, I was in the bathroom washing my hands, and I heard a voice all "Hurry up!" It sounded like my mother, but when I asked if she called me, she said no. :confused

So I'm not crazy!! I really did encounter a ghost back in 2006! Dang, Zack Bagans was sure right about not being alone and crazy. :lol

So anyway, I was eleven years old and sleeping peacefully in my room when I woke up to footsteps. At first, I thought it was just someone walking up stairs but then I realized that they were getting closer and closer to my room. That was fallowed by breathing as well. I wanted to scream, I really did. But I didn't want to wake up anybody. So I grabbed a brush and waterbottle for defense and (yeah like that'll do anything. :lol ) and walked out of my room to check it out. Just like any other paranormal encounter, nothing was there. I headed upstairs where my cousin Jessica was listening to her music at like 2 in the morning. (:lol crazy gurl) I told her about what I heard and and we woke up my uncle Pterano-I mean Cody (What? Can't a paranormal encounter have some humor? Come on! :lol ) and he said that the breathing I heard was his snoring. :lol

I believed him, but sometimes I wonder...why did the footsteps and breathing sound like it was right next to my room?

Oh, god.  I've had those.  A lot.  Not at home, mind you.  Mostly on Auraria Campus.  Holy hell that place is haunted.
There's a "cabaret" down in the basement, that used to be a bar.  Well, one day, my friends and I went down there, since we'd heard it was haunted.  We were recording on one of my friend's camera phones, and we start hearing what sounds like piano music.  Seriously.  Like, old swing and jazz tune type stuff.  And glasses clinking.  Now, this would be easy to explain as outside influence, but there are no pianos in the entire building, and no glasses, either.  So, we start getting a little creeped out.  Then we start hearing voices.  Nothing clear, just indistinct chatter as we walk around.  I was the first one to notice that it suddenly felt like it was very, very chilly all of a sudden.  So, we go back a little further, to what look like storage cabinets and stuff, and I reach out to touch one.  As I do, my hand gets jerked down, off the door.  When we went back and looked over the video, you actually see my coat's sleeve move like something had grabbed it.  Also, when we went over the recording, right after I did that, you hear something...male, sounds like, possibly demonic, say to "GET...OUT..."
Anyways, we hadn't heard anything at the time, so we keep exploring, going back out to the main bar.  Well, my other friend goes back there, and he starts kinda screwing with the old taps.  He says something shocked him, and then as he gets out from behind it, he starts falling over and his speech starts slurring.  So we leave, but we see this white...looks like a hand with a wrench in a missing ceiling tile.
We went back over the footage, and we realized that all along, there were only three of us.  But when we all are stopped, there are distinctly another set of footsteps that keep moving.  Also, at one point after I tried to open the door, my friend's camera suddenly blacks out for a few seconds.  Audio's still working, nothing moved in front of the camera before it went out...then it came back on.

And that isn't even the scary one.

OMG! That's friggin awesome! I always thought that the paranormal was pretty dang cool for something scary.  :lol

I remember someone calling the name, "Averi" in my house. It was a mer whisper. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that herd it. It came from right behind me too. :yes

It's kinda funny, now that you mention it. I know someone named Averi.

Yeah, the next one wasn't so cool.  It was really, really goddamned scary.
So, a few weeks after we went down there the first time, my two friends and I went back again, this time a little bit more excited.  We poked around a little, caught the normal recordings...then we saw that this maintenance hallway door was open.  Naturally, being college kids and all, we went in there and kept exploring.  That was where it got really, really freaky.  We went back there, and almost immediately, we started hearing voices.  Not just background chatter, either.  Chanting of some sort.  As we went further in, I started feeling like something was wrapping around my wrists and ankles, and it was freezing down there.  So we keep looking around, and I keep seeing what look like glowing orbs...or eyes, not sure which, out of the corners of my vision, and the feeling like something was around my wrists and ankles was getting worse.  So, after exploring for a little bit, we all leave, and go sit down outside the cabaret and tunnel, and we hear something start slamming against the metal door.  So, one of my friends, a guy, and engaged to the other friend, hasn't said anything because he had a headache while we were in there.  Then, just out of the blue, he kinda stands up funny, growls, and lunges at his fiance's throat.  Starts choking her.  Not playing, or anything like that.  Like he was honestly trying to kill her.  I kinda intervene, knocking him off her and onto the ground, and she and I kinda look at each other when he grabs me from behind and tries to snap my neck.  Lucky me, I had to shoulder-throw him off me.  He lays there for a sec, then kinda shakes his head, and asks us what happened.  He thought he had just fainted.
Pretty sure he was possessed.  By something really bad.

I'd very much like to take a look at this place. I've learned a few things about posessed locations and people, and even a bit on demonology and how to get rid of manifestations.

Also, Do NOT tell a paranormal investigation show. They're all full of crap. If things get bad, contact a REAL demonologist or exorcist.

My turn, heh heh...

So, one day, when I was about seven, maybe eight years old, my friend was at my house and we were having a good time, doing the kind of stuff people normally do when someone comes over to their house. My mother was sitting on her chair, watching us, and my dad was downstairs working on the computer. My friend and I were just sitting around and my dad suddenly comes up from downstairs. Of course, I thought this was normal, and it was seeing as he usually comes up after working. So, I hear his footsteps go up the stairs and into the kitchen, and I turn my head to look at him, and, like I predicted, he was now in the kitchen doing something I don't quite know. After I saw that, I was turning my head to my friend when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. When I looked at what I thought I saw, there was a full blown shadow of a grown man right at the door! I was like, "holy crap! What the heck is that!" in my mind because I was too shocked to say anything.  It stood there for a few minutes and then just...disappeared. Creepy. To this day, the more I think about it, the more I have no idea what it was, but it's still clear in my mind. Weird. -_-

despite the fact that i'm religious, i still like the thrill of being in puported 'haunted' locations, and some stuff happened to me,

in a old hotel all of us heard screams coming from the basement, the REAL loud scream that was only a bit silenced by the floor, nobody wanted to go there anymore.

in my grandmother's house, which like my granny is quite old, i heard my left grandpa asking me to turn the lawnmower off[1] i never told my grandmother as she becomes stricken with grief when we talk about him.

also, at the local soccer club, which my grandpa liked to visit a lot. is said that he sits every night at his spot when a game has to be played the next day, never saw him there myself but people say that if he appears, its a good omen.

[1] its no joke, as he received a cardiac arrest (which would kill him) when he was mowing the lawn.

After finding out about stuff like this, I think that it is highly possible that the reason people are experiencing strange, ominous occurrences like these is because these so-called ghosts are really beings of the 4th dimension. It's quite a stretch of the imagination, but consider what was said in this video. A 3-dimensional being coming to observe 2-dimensional beings would be able to see everything in the 2-dimensional being's world all at once, and be able to pass through completely unnoticed through solid objects (hovering "above" the walls, a direction in which 2-dimensional creatures know nothing about.) In the same way, if a 4-dimensional being were to observe our 3-dimensional world, it would be able to see and pass "over" everything (this even includes our bodies, meaning it can see all of our organs, and even touch them). This is because it exists in a higher dimension that we know nothing about, and that we cannot imagine or ever reach. Because of this, a 4-dimensional being would be able to do whatever it wanted without you ever knowing. It could be sitting in the same room as you and you wouldn't even know it. Now people have also said that they have seen things like shadows of ghosts. Well that could very well be a time when that 4-d being crossed into our 3-d world, and we only saw a cross-section of it, or its "shadow" projected into 3 dimensions.

Of course the 4th dimension is all speculation, but if people are really experiencing things like this, I think it is a highly plausible theory.

When I was younger, about 14, my parents had gone out and I was home alone. It was quite late, around 11, and I was watching TV when I started hearing this quiet whispery sound, kind of like a light wind outside. Then it started getting louder, until it sounded like someone rasping and breathing really heavily next to me, the same way somebody pants heavily after they've run a long distance. When it got to this stage, I got too freaked out to stay in the room, so I went upstairs. I didn't hear anything else after that.
It definitely wasn't the TV. I still have no idea what it was.

Well, we ain't going anywhere.

As for me, I just had another one, though it's more preternatural than supernatural.

I was sitting at the computer, probably watching another Cinema Snob video, when I suddenly saw this flash of light on the wall. Just a brief flash twice. What's weird is that it seemed to be coming from the glass doors on the other side of the room which lead to the garden. Yet there was nothing outside to create such a flash. It was bright white, like artificial white (as opposed to really bright sunlight), and flashed a few times, maybe twice, maybe more, like lightning, but there was no thunder. It couldn't have been a lightbulb since those are all directly above me, facing away from the wall.
So, there was no discernable source of this flash, and it hasn't happened since. Maybe reading the Necronomicon aloud last night wasn't such a good idea...

EDIT: It happened again, this time at the foot of my bed! I was trying to get to sleep and I saw just past the end of my bed, that same white light, this time as a sort of smokey glow.

I certainly have some encounters! And they all scared the hell outta me... :( I find ghosts and demons and stuff fascinating, but too frightening to experience even minor situations.

When I was little and still living in Virginia, we go to our family friend's house frequently. My sister and I wanted to spend the night and we were allowed to (Yayz!!!)!! So my sister and I and both our best friends were sleeping in the same room together and that's when I kept noticing black shadows passing by the door and footsteps from the attic upstairs. At first I assumed that it was the grownups or my friend's older brother. But when I crept out the room to check, both their room doors were close and they were sleeping. I started getting freaked out and I couldn't sleep for a while, wanting to wake my friend, but not wanting to be a nuisance at our first sleepover in their house. I swear, I was close to crying. I can't really handle stuff like that.

The next morning I asked my friend if there was anything weird with this house. Quite nonchalantly, she just stated that the house was haunted. I couldn't believe how un-freaked out she was about that, but she just said that she's lived here since she was a baby and nothing bad happened. I wish I could be as brave. Her brother told me to just pretend it's a Haunter (a Ghost-type Pokemon, also my favorite) next time we slept over. I sure as hell tried that and it helped.....a little bit....

But since we moved that wasn't the last I've seen. While in North Carolina for about 6 months, my sister's closet had a notorious reputation between us because we kept seeing shadow men coming from there (thus the source of why I can't sleep with the closet open). That's why my sister spent most nights while we were in that house sleeping in my room.

When I was in training for the Air Force, I was told that lotsa people commited suicide while in training because they couldn't handle the stress. Alot of these suicides took place in the latrines and almost every latrine I visited on the base has one or two closed stalled because that was a site of a suicide. Our own latrine had one closed stall and lotsa girls had experiences of hearing voices. One of my friends (the one who introduced my to The Game.....Great! I just lost The Game! :lol ) said that she was using the bathroom and she heard someone whisper her name right into her ear. Although I never heard voices (I'm too frightened to stay there too long), I certainly do get the feeling of being watched everytime I go in there...

Currently, I got two seperate ones going on. I'm highly convinced that the room next to mine is haunted. Everytime I go in there, I hear of see something. Now I never go in there if I can help it, and I sleep with my door closed since the room is visible from where I'm sleeping.

The second one's at work in Submarina. It's kind of a running gag for my co-workers to say the place was haunted by a ghost, but I tried not to believe it until a few incidents happened. I was working the register when my boss went to the back. Almost instantly there was a loud crash and my partner and I rushed back to see what happened. All we saw was our boss looking shocked and the clock that was hanging from the wall on the floor, broken at her feet. We asked what happened and she said the clock flew off the wall and almost hit her. We were silent for a moment before Ms. Boss went to the Payless next door and asked if they banged the wall or anything. They said no. Our boss came back and brushed it off as it being the ghost. I was a bit confused, as I still thought the ghost thing was a joke. Well our boss did have a fun sense of humor; maybe she's in on the joke. Then something else happened the same day. A few hours after the clock incident (we still hadn't gotten a replacement for that clock), my co-worker went to the back to get some extra avocados and again we heard a crash. My boss and I went to check it out and found the big plastic container of mayo on the ground opposite of the fridge, mayo was everywhere. We again asked what happened, and my co-worker said she opened the fridge and the mayo just lunged out at her. Again, rather impatient this time, our boss said "Someone pissed off the ghost. First the clock, now the mayonaise." Then she and my co-worker had a serious conversation regarding said ghost. That's when I began having the feeling that this might not be a joke. That was confirmed the same night. We were closing up, our boss had left, my co-worker was taking out the trash and I was alone in the kitchen washing dishes. Suddenly, I heard a bang behind me and I looked back to find the large can of jalapenos on the ground. I was stunned. There was nobody in there with me, the cans of jalapenos and olives were a good five feet away from me, and the racks they were on was designed with a sharply turned up end just so the cans can't roll off. The cans were large, they had to be physically pushed to be moved and there was no explaining how that can rolled all the way up the turned-up end of the rack to fall on the ground. I was freaked out and told my coworker what happened. All she did was mutter about how pissed off the ghost was today. I was no longer skeptical about that. I still work there, and Mr. Ghost wasn't that angry again, but there's still a few strange happening going on.

I'll be sure not to anger our Submarina ghost, last thing I need is more potential heart-attacks...

I'm not sure what happened like a few minutes ago, but I think this was scary enough to be a paranormal encounter. Okay, I worked things out with a friend next door, right? She has this fence that she wants me to close when I left, which I'm pretty sure I did. But a ten to fifteen minutes later, she called me saying the gate was wide open.

And the stranger thing that happened today is that right after I put my bathing suit on, my energy was drained. Just like that. I litterally felt as though I couldn't move. Pretty strange, huh?

I think I just heard yet ANOTHER voice phenomena. I was listening to my music and I heard a "BAAAAA!!!" right over my shoulder.  I looked and there couldn't be anything there. Nothing but a wall and my stuff.  That's pretty much it. It sounded like a little girl shouting. I thought it was my sisters but they're in the living room. Ain't it funny?

I've had many a paranormal encounter. When I used to live in an apartment, I would be walking to my room and in the crack under the door, I could see shadows running around the room as if someone was in there but no one ever was.

I've heard such a theory before, and I must say it's pretty fascinating. I've recently been doing some reading on multi dimensional theories. And indeed, if there is a 4th spatial dimension (as opposed to the theory where the 4th dimension is time itself, in which case seeing in 4 dimensions would be completely different), and beings exist in 4 dimensions, their passing through our world could be seen as paranormal phenomena.
Like some apparitions. I read that if a 4D person passed through our 3 dimensional world, it would appear as a strange object, constantly changing shape and colour as different parts of the being enter our world.

For anyone else who may find this confusing, here is a basic rundown with 2 and 3 dimensions:

Let us say that a 3 dimensional sphere was approaching a 2 dimensional world; for the sake of tradition, let us call this 2D world "flatland". Until it contacts the 2D plane of flatland, the sphere would be completely unnoticed, except for any sound it may make. But when it contacts the 2D flatland, because the flatland has 0 thickness, the sphere would pass through it. As it passed through it, the flatland inhabitants would begin to notice it. When it first touches down on flatland, the tip of the sphere would be seen by the flatlanders as a tiny circle suddenly appearing. As it passes through flatland, it would appear the circle is expanding. Then, after its equator has passed through flatland, the flatlanders would see that the circle is shrinking, until it vanishes as the sphere passes right through flatland's 2D plane. To the flatlanders, this would appear as some terrifying apparition that can shrink and expand, and appear and disappear at will.

It would be just the same for if a 4D object or being passed through our 3D universe.

I felt a warm hand on my back last night. Not sure if it was a paranormal encounter, because it was pretty warm and usually if your surrounded by spirits, the temperature would drop pretty low and it would get really cold so...

That's the strange thing, usually you get all cold when you feel that and I didn't get cold. Huh...

Well, from what I've read about, paranormal investigators say that objects affected by paranormal phenomena, such as poltergeists, etc, heat up. It's only the air that becomes cold in "hauntings". So maybe whatever touched you was a physical object being manipulated by a poltergeist.

I had yet ANOTHER paranormal encounter just yesterday. (I seem to be getting alot of those lately... ) My friend Dakota and I were sitting on the couch just making our OWN story. Not fanfiction but our own story. (I had an absolute blast on that btw, I couldn't stop :lol ) Then all of a sudden, we heard a really, really long scream. It sounded like a woman's scream and it was pretty loud. Then Dakota swore he saw a shadow of a person in the tv screen.   Pretty scary eh?

Wait a minute! Did my bed JUST move on its own?

Well, I had another one today. I was sitting in my room with my Pleo, aptly named Littlefoot. Anyways, I was running him through his batteries a couple times to help work in his new upgrade, and I was sitting down just in front of the door with him, just making sure he doesn't back into anything or knock anything over.
Anyways, so I have this little rubber skeleton hanging from the doorknob of my door, and while I was watching Littlefoot, I swear I saw the skeleton wiggle. Just for a second. There was no breeze, and even if there was, it would have to be a pretty strong breeze to make him move (I myself tried blowing on it to see if it would move; it didn't budge.)
Very creepy.

I've had many more stories to tell. I live in a old two hundred and one year old house. And I've heard a lot of strange sounds in there. I've heard back in 8/28/08 my dad went out and I was home alone and I heard something in the Kitchen. It was moving papers on the counter and then it started to drag his ball and chains across the floor walking towards me. I freaked out and bolted out side. And I've also seen a floating skull head in the kitchen also. So yeah there has been some evil in there.

Dude, a few days ago or so, I could have swarn I saw a shadow pass my bedroom door and headed directly towards my bed. And when I removed the blanket that was hanging from the top bunk, there was no one there, just like any other paranormal encounter.   And also, I noticed that I didn't hear any footsteps along with the shadow so...

I've been awoken the past few nights by meowing. And there's never a cat in the room at the time. It's not my cat as he stays outside all the time. It's strange and kind of freaks me out.

I had one just last night.  Someone posted a picture on FB of a house in which a double homicide had taken place years before.  I clicked on the picture to see it in full size, and about ten seconds later I felt an overwhelming sense of dread come over me as I felt like I had made contact with whatever evil presence lives in that house.  I've always been very sensitive to paranormal presences, and I can usually sense almost immediately if I am in or around a house someone had died in.  It's a strange feeling I can't describe.  However, if it is an evil paranormal presence, I feel so much dread it about puts me into a cross between an anxiety attack and a nervous breakdown.  I tend to come across as rather fearless, and few things scare me enough to make me cry.  I was nearly bawling after that experience, meaning it was very intense :crazy.  I was up almost the whole night and could not concentrate on anything after that.  I understand there had been the thought of destroying the house, but ultimately it was just cleaned up and folks moved in :!.  I feel sorry for them if they have any bad experiences.

Well, I'd say the odds of being a demon are pretty slim. It doesn't sound particularly malicious, just sort of clingy. By those descriptions it could be any sort of entity; Demon, angel, elemental, egregore, poltergeist, sprite, totem...

But to me it sounds like whatever sort of entity it is, it was eager to be in contact with you. If these happenings occur again, try to contact it, ask plainly and clearly who it is and what it wants. It might be that it wanted to become your familiar or servitor.

Heh, I know too much about this stuff for my own good. But if anyone seeks some advice on such a matter, I might be able to help. I'm good with the occult and paranormal, especially working with entities.

Had a pretty serious occurrence last night. Around the middle of the night, I'm trying to get to sleep, and I hear this occasional thumping sound. And I know it's not my family, cos my parents are asleep and my sister is away. Needless to say it creeped me out big time.

EDIT: Aaand the thumping's starting again. Seriously, I'm getting a bit freaked out now

Geez Allicloud, that sounds creepy :!!

Not that I don't believe in paranormal activity (everyone here probably knows I do :p), but have you been checked for tinnitus by any chance?  I've had it since I was still a little kid, and sometimes I hear a thumping noise that lasts a few minutes and grows louder and louder.  Again, I'm not trying to disagree with you.  I'm just curious, because before I found out it is tinnitus, I thought maybe it was psychiatric :bang.

As for me, I was recently out in my back yard with my dog.  It was a quiet morning, and I was out there pulling weeds while my dog was laying down near me and napping.  Just then, about fifteen feet away from me by my fence, I swear I heard a human voice go, "Psst!  Hey!  Psst!" in a whisper.  I looked up and saw nothing and heard nothing else.  Then, I heard footsteps running, and then my dog jumped up and started barking like his alarmed maniac self while staring at where the voice had come from.  The entire time, there was nobody by or on the other side of the fence :!.  Spooky indeed.

So, I was sitting at the computer, browsing Amazon for games when something poked my hand. The only things on my computer desk are all wireless devices so it sure wasn't a wire. I thought nothing of it until it happened again. I got a little spooked so I left the area and went outside. I was taking pictures of my niece and nephew who were playing and something pushed my hand.
Not only that, but the name calling is becoming more frequent. I hear my name being called a lot nowadays.

I believe that my house is haunted and apparently I'm the only one that notices.

*Every once in a while I will hear my name being called by my mom. I rush to her and she looks at me all confused. She says she didn't call my name, so who's doing it?
*I see very brief flashes of shadow apparitions, once I saw one looking over at my bed, that was freaky! I usually see them in my room and the living room.
*I get this weird feeling that I'm not alone in my room. It's like someone is sitting by my bed or something. Whatever it is I don't like it.
*I have a fear of the kitchen for some reason. It's like if I don't get out fast enough, something is going to pull me in and kill me. I always feel a prescence in that kitchen.
*Usually at night I feel a unusual breeze. My back gets colder and I keep feeling this wind all around me. I'm feeling it right now as I write this!
*Sometimes I hear footsteps at night and I'm the only one awake!

That's basically it. I wonder how nobody notices these things in the house.

That's like my sister's room. I don't ever go in it. There is something evil about. Once, I walked in there after my sister had moved out and when I walked out I felt like something was pulling me back. It wasn't a hard struggle, but it was a struggle nonetheless. It felt like...like my energy was being pulled out of me and into the room. I cleansed the room that night, or at least I thought I had. I went in there a week after and felt the same struggle but this time it was more intense. I felt like I was losing. I even fell to the floor exhausted. My mom doesn't believe but my younger sister can feel the presence when she walks by the room. I just hope whatever is in there is confined to the room. I don't want anything bad to happen to my family.

So apparantly, my current dorm room is haunted by a previous janitor of the college named Alfred. He lives underneath the floor of my closet and likes to come out every now and then. He is completely harmless, just wants attention. He apparently changed a $20 bill lying on the floor to a $5 bill in front of the previous students who lived in my room.

Now of course I say apparently because I have yet to encounter Alfred, but every student who has lived in my room tells the same story.

The only weird thing that ever happened in my house is one time in the attic I threw an article of clothing over the balcony down the stairs, and later on I saw that it was back on the attic floor. But I was very young at the time, and probably brought it back up into the attic and later forgot I did. Other than that though, nothing has ever happened. Any weird things that may happen that freak me out are easily explained. Like our house makes random creaking noises at night, but that is because it is a very old house and the walls and floor settle. We also used to hear our piano playing late at night but quickly found out it was our cat walking on the keys. And for a long time late at night I would hear very low, creepy-sounding mumbling coming from the second floor of our house, but as I got older I realized that it was the low frequency sounds coming from our upstairs tenants' television. I have never in my entire life even come close to what you may call a "paranormal encounter", and I guess I hope it stays that way :p

My latest one was last night, an it was an unusual but really terrifying experience.  I was sleeping on my belly which is unusual considering I'm a back sleeper, and I suddenly had a feeling of being watched by someone standing next to my bed.  Then, I heard a creepy male voice that basically said he was gonna do the dirty with me   :x.  Then, he jumped on me and started pulling my spirit out of my body.  I could actually see my mortal sleeping form below me.  It only lasted for a few moments, though, 'cuz I managed to jolt myself awake and whip around while swinging as if to knock him off me.  That was very scary indeed :!.

So, in a nutshell, I believe an incubus paid a visit last night and attempted to do the R word to me :crazy  :o  :slap  :x.  I read somewhere that women who are virgins and have strong belief in God are more susceptible to incubi attacks, as this is seen often in nuns, or so I read.  If this is the case, I hope he never comes back to pay another visit :!  :rolleyes  <_<.

I have experienced something new! While I was in the kitchen doing some homework, I heard someone humming a tune. I thought it was my brother turning up the volume to loud on his computer or it was coming from the Plasma TV. I asked my father and my brother and they said there was no humming coming from either! So who was humming?

Well, technically, Incubi and Succubi aren't ncessarily perverted, per se. That's just how they've adapted to survive.

But most of the time, rather than attempting to force themselves on their victims, they more often try to seduce them. (Speaking from experience; I've encountered a succubus before)

So don't rule Incubus out just yet, but I'd say it sounds like something else at the moment.

Not a good idea dude. For onething, they aren't ghosts as in souls of dead people. They are spirits that may once have been human souls but were then corrupted, or naturally occuring succubi.

Also, they have a habit of leaving their victims pretty drained and exhausted after a...*ahem* session. And when they realise that they can get alot of sustenance out of you, they'll just keep coming back for more whether you want it or not.

This is just a story I found on Creepypasta, and it's a long one but I found it quite scary so I thought this thread seemed the best place to share it:

Quote
I don't know what to do anymore. I’m so scared and I can't trust anyone.

I went camping about three weekends ago in the Huntsville national forest in Texas. Me and three friends that came home for the weekend, they are all in college and usually we all get together at least once a year, old friends from high school. For the camping trip we planned to go backpacking deep in the forest, live off of fish that we catch and animals that we can trap. We have been doing this for awhile in Texas and in numerous places, Arizona, Colorado (if anyone is familiar with the Spanish peaks there), New Mexico, so weëre pretty much used to anything youëd encounter out there.

It was my turn to pick where we went camping, so I chose Huntsville (more accurately it’s Huntsville/New Waverly). So we drive up there park our car in a camping park spot and start walking off into the forest. We had some laughs along the way, everyone catching up with eachother's lives. We walked until it started to get dark and set up camp where we stopped. Everyone gathered wood to make a fire and we set our tent up. And we do what we always do: try and scare each other with weird stories.

Around this time we started to smell something very faint. It was noticeable, but not overbearing. We couldn't put our finger on what it was, so we just carried on. Mike had to go piss and he walked off in the forest. A second later he come running back, piss all down his jeans like he’d missed really bad. Immediately we all crack up and throw some jokes at him. Then we noticed that he was white as snow and trying to catch his breath. He starts screaming for us to follow him, and runs off. We all get serious and go follow him, not knowing what the problem was. We start to hear a faint scream and crying in the distance, in the direction we were running. It was pitch black away from the camp and Mike had the only flash light (we left ours at the camp, he had his from his trip taking a piss), so at this stage we didn’t have much choice but to follow the light, which was frantically pointing here and there in front of him.

The scream gets closer and Mike starts to slow down. We then notice a ratty old cabin that looked like it was abandoned, except for a faint light that we could see from one of the old mildew covered windows. The crying was intense: whoever it was couldn't breathe enough to let out a full yell. We all followed Mike up to the front door and we could all hear the crying from inside. As soon as he knocked on the door it stopped.

We all waited and heard really heavy footsteps walking fast to the door. There was a giant slam against the door and the sound of a bolt unlocking. Then nothing. We waited for a bit, knocked a few more times, but still nothing happened. We walked around the house (there was no fucking way any of us were leaving each other’s side) and noticed a window, which was a good way up. Alex took a deep breath and said asked us to give him a boost so he could see inside. Me and Mike lifted him up to the window. We watched him brush away dirt and webs from the window and place his face close to the window to try and see something.

There was a quick beat. Then suddenly he breathed in fast and let out a loud scream. Then he fell back from the window, screaming bloody murder the whole way. We all tried to calm him down but he was hysterical. We went to him but he started to shake, punch, kick, you name it, and then took off towards the camp.

None of us wanted to be separated so we all ran close behind him. We caught up to him and grabbed him and set him down. The fire was dying out so I grabbed some nearby wood that we collected added it to the fire. My hands were shaking and I had to do something. I went back to Alex and we all tried to calm him down. He wouldn't he kept screaming and was breathing so hard that he eventually fainted.

All of us are terrified now, and we all kept the fire high until sunrise. Periodically Alex kept waking up, screaming just like before. By sunrise he was up and looked catatonic, just mumbling to himself and whimpering.

Me and Mike decide to go look at the cabin now it was daylight. We searched where we thought it was, except there was nothing there. Nothing at all. The indistinct smell from last night had now grown into a very strong smell of something dead, something stale. We headed back to the camping site. When we got there we found Alex had chewed into the sides of his face and swallowed so much blood that he was throwing up. John was at his back, and he looked like he was about to die from exhaustion. I guess we all looked that way, I just didn't notice until I saw his face. Alex said quietly that we need to leave. Now.

We all started to pack up the tent. It started to rain really heavily (it was about noon) and the sky started to grow really dark. Alex started to go into a panic. He went and grabbed a big stick and yelled at us to leave it and leave, now, or heëd knock us out and drag us out of there himself. Mike started to yell at him, and they started to fight. We broke it up and finished packing, and then started to make our way back. After a little while we arrived at a creek we had crossed the previous day, only it was flooded over, and the water was moving to fast for us to cross it. Alex started to scream again, yelling at Mike for taking his time packing up the tent when we could have gotten out of here. This went on for a while until we finally convinced Alex to calm down and tell us what happened.

He said as soon as he put his face to the glass, a face on the other side did the same thing, and started to smile really big. It had dark eyes and a dark mouth which was much bigger then Alex's, as the smile got as large as it could. A giant shadow behind it swung something down and sliced itës face off. The face was stuck to the window, and he said it started to laugh quietly as it slid down. Mike, still pissed off (and though he wouldnët admit it, beginning to get freaked out), started to argue with him again. We eventually started to follow the creek for a way to cross.

We then started to see toys floating in the creek. Really old toys, old Barbie dolls and baby dolls. This wasn't like any old trash floating in the creek, though… this was a lot of barbies, a lot of baby dolls. One washed towards the side and Mike picked it up. It had some kind of voice chip that was dying and started to say some gurgling words we couldn't understand, followed by it’s sad excuse for laughter. Then it sounded like it was whispering. We thought the batteries must be dying, he threw it down.

We kept going, and the sun was starting to set. Alex was freaking out more now, and was whimpering and breathing heavily. We all started to see shadows move behind trees, something we all called BS on until we all were seeing it. It was barely light out and we stop as we see the cabin right in front of us. None of us knows what to think. Mike says “This is bull, I’m going in there.” Alex tries to stop him. We all do, all of us just wanted to go home. Mike says to all of us to fuck off, do our own thing, he doesn't care anymore, this is all bull.

We start to hear hundreds of the same sort baby doll as before, laughing, whispering and trying to sing. We start to move forward past the cabin, all of us, and kept pushing forward. We smelled something dead in the air, something stale. The same something as before. We started to hear something crying, and something screaming. We kept on going. We eventually crossed the creek and left the woods. We get back to our vehicle and got in. Its pitch black, and we drive. We are about to get on the 45 to Houston but the road is under construction and can't be accessed. It points to a detour. As we head towards the detour it seems to be small, bumpy dirt road going into the woods.

We then see a young girl come up to us. She looks like she was in trouble, young and pretty. She approaches the passenger side door and she looks like sheës really drugged up, or beaten up. Alex doesn't roll down the windows, nor does he open the door. She reaches for the handle and he immediately locks it. She puts her face on the window and starts to smile really big. We floor it, Alex starts to cry and scream and we are all breathing heavy. We finally cut on a street that takes us to the 45 and we take it the whole way. When we get back to my apartment everyone doesn't know what to say and we all break apart and go our separate ways.

Mike messages me later and says he is going to go back. I try to convince him not to and all he does is say it was our own minds that were screwing with us. I think he just went to prove to himself he wasn’t scared. I can smell that stench everywhere now. I don't go out anymore, I just stay in and don't answer the door. Last week everyone I met was acting really strange, people that I knew for a long time and total strangers. My own dad, when I went to his place to eat supper with him he just watched me, strangely, when I was sitting down. He didn't say a word the whole time. I kept asking him “What’s wrong?” He just slowly shook his head.

When I was leaving to go home I turned to wave. He had black eyes and an open mouth like he was in pain. When I started to walk back he shut the door and bolted it. I stayed there knocking and knocking. Nothing. I called him, his phone was disconnected. I even called the police. Halfway through the questions they were asking me the connection started to fade into static. I could hear a faint mumbling, singing and laughing.

Mike has completely vanished. There is not even a record of him being alive. When I call Alex’s house they talk to me like I’m some salesman. They say they don't know any Alex and to please stop calling. The person who tells me that is Alexës mother. I can’t get ahold of John. Someone knocked on my door and when I went to look I saw a face completely covering the peephole and a giant smile started to form.

I called the cops again and instead of it turning into static they got really strange. “Sir, are you affected by any drugs at the moment?” “No.” “Are you coming home anytime soon?” “Excuse me?” “Come home.” and the phone call ended. My mail slot swings every now and then. Someone is sliding pieces of baby dolls through it. I try to call people now and all I can hear is static and bad baby doll noises and this crying and screaming. My TV is busted but when I go to piss I can hear it on. I might be going insane.

Whoever lives above me started to scream in pain and crying deeply recently. I hear giant footsteps from their apartment, I hear bangs and something falling to the ground. From the neighbors to the right of my apartment I hear what sounds like a baby that never gets tended too and then it sounds like a baby doll whose batteries are dying. My phone has been ringing now and it’s Alex telling me things in a language that I have never heard before, nor could even manage to repeat. I kept getting emails of pictures of black and small colorations, now I can't even access my email. Someone knocks on the door, then they slam against it. I hear the bolts unlocking one by one and I run to make sure to lock all of them back and sit down crying.

What do I do? My electricity keeps dimming. My water, sinks, bath, shower, all smell like something dead. I keep seeing a shadow of someone behind me raising something up in the air, and I just take off to the other side of the apartment with my head against the wall. I have boarded my windows shut, someone was throwing rocks through them. I never could see who. I have boarded my bedroom in, I hear crying and screaming in there now. And right now while I’m typing this I can see the reflection off the computer screen of some shadow behind me.

^ That is extremely creepy and disturbing. If I could, I would put the unsure smilie, but it is not showing up.

I have a new occurrence. I find that, every time I walk out of my house, suddenly I hear footsteps inside, and a door or two opens and closes. When I go back inside, everything is quiet. I check around to see if anybody is there and I find nothing. I'm not sure what to think of this, but it is strange.

Oh man! It's been a while!

Anyway, right after I woke up, I heard a man whisper "Hey Ali" and it sounded like it was from right at my door.  And there's no one named Ali at my home and the voice sounded nothing like someone I knew. Boy did it freak me out!

Sorry I didn't see this until now, but it sounds like it was just a benign spirit trying to get your attention.  Nothing to worry about ;).  If it was a malevolent spirit or worse, a demon, you would have to be worried because they tend to become more and more aggressive.

This one happened last week, and man did it freak me out.  I had a premonition of danger or even disaster, and even though I have had these before, it still shook me up.

On Monday night, I had a nightmare that, as I was walking out to a parking lot to my car, a small convertible exploded and destroyed four other cars (three of which were SUVs) and damaged two other cars.  Nobody was in or around the cars at the time.  My car was parked in the back of the parking lot away from other cars, which is how I park in real life.  Then, I woke up.

Nothing happened until Wednesday morning.  I had plans to go somewhere with someone, but I had a sick feeling in my stomach and my gut told me to not go.  I had to work that afternoon, and when I got to work, I saw a convertible that looked like a car bomb had gone off in it.  It turns out the car caught fire and exploded.  Five cars were destroyed and two more were damaged.  It turns out, these were the same cars I saw in my dream two nights before :o.  Like my dream, nobody was in or around the cars when this happened, and it just happened before I got to work.  That gave me chills like I hadn't felt in a good long time .

This isn't the first time, like I said, that this has happened.  I saw my car accident happen in my dreams a month beore it happened back in 2005, and back in 2000 I saw my grandparents' house get destroyed by a storm three weeks before it happened.  I even saw everything that would get destroyed within the house :crazy.

And don't get me going on the countless times deceased people have shown up in my dreams to give me a heads up about the near future.

I've had a handful of paranormal experiences:

When I was real little, I once stayed in the spare bedroom of my grandparents' house. I turned out the light, plopped into bed, and started to go to sleep. Then I suddenly heard this inhuman voice whisper right in my freaking ear: "Be a good little boy." I even felt the breath of whatever it was when it did that.
I did not sleep in that room or the rest of the night. I went downstairs and made myself comfy on a couch and was left alone.

Scary thing is, that is not the last thing that would happen in that room.

Years later, I actually forgot the incident, and I ended up staying over at their house again and in that room again. This time I had a friend with me. He had brought along the movie "Pretty Woman". Yes, that is significent.
We each took a different bed in that room, and the instant we turned out the lights, something began throwing objects around the room. We turned on the light and saw nothing. But different things that had once been orderly were strewn all over the place. We didn't know what to make of it, but we didn't have time to think about it. The light turned out on it's own and something pulled the bedsheet off me.
I turned the light on again. Nothing. We noticed that the one item that had moved the most both times. Pretty Woman had been flung across the room against the door. The second time the lights went out, we had both heard something banging agaist the door.
So I got the idea of removing the movie from the room. After that, the thing that's up there did not act up again. It just wanted that admittedly less than moral movie out of its room.

Grandpa and Grandma never believed me, and I remembered why I hated staying in that room in the first place. This whole thing reads like a creepypasta, but I assure you it's true.

Pretty Woman is about a prostitute that starts dating a rich man. Whatever is in that room really hated it. The rest of the house is never bothered, just that room.

EDIT: THere have been a few other incidents in that room, but nothing as distinctly threatening as those two.

I'm not sure what happened and I can't explain it, so I'mma post it here.

So I have this Spider-Man Green Goblin figure, a very stable toy on a display. When I went to bed last night, the figure was upright as usual. But when I woke up, Gobby was turned towards me and positioned on his side. It startled me cause his face was the first thing I saw waking up. Something had to have moved that toy to position it that way; the toy is physically incapable of falling over on its own. I stay up late every night so I'm the last to fall asleep, and I'm usually among the first to wake up. Nobody came into my room at all.

Just in case, I asked my sister and mom and they said they haven't been in my room, much less touched my stuff. I believe them because they had no reason to lie and they never had any interest in any of my collections.

I'm still not sure what caused Gobby to knock over like that and it freaks me out...

Could you have rolled over in your sleep and your arm knocked it over or something?
Title: Paranormal encounters
Post by: FlipperBoidSkua on April 02, 2012, 01:38:05 AM
No. It's quite a distance from my bed. I tried to think of everything. The toy's too heavy for a draft or wind or something to knock it over. I can't reach it from my bed and even tried hitting it with my blanket in case the blanket managed to reach while I slept. It didn't work. To test out my figure and make sure it wasn't broken or anything, I tried to knock it over from its upright position. It slides a bit, but I can't get it to knock over on its side like it was before because the wing of the Green Goblin's glider kept it from 'falling' all the way before gravity pushed it back upright. I had to physically lift it off the stand and put it on it's side to work.

I'm totally scared now. Any suggestions on what else I can to do debunk it? I already think this house is haunted and I reeeeaaaaallllllly don't want full-on proof of that. :(

Whoa! It's been a while.  :lol

So anyway, I was browsing DeviantArt and I hear a low growl that lasted for like, a minute or two. For some odd reason, I wasn't scared. I just continued to do my thing. But that didn't stop me from listening.

It may have been one of my dogs, but one thing disturbs me. Both of my dogs were in the living room. That growl came from right next to me on my bed.

Growling noises come from malevolent spirits.  Did you check first to make sure there was nothing in the wall or right outside your bedroom?  How about an air vent close to your bed?

As for me, I woke up last night with that sick feeling something is about to happen.  I kept waking up last night with it, and it still continues to remain and it is growing stronger with time.  It is a sick feeling, so most likely it could be bad news I could learn :neutral.  So far today has been uneventful, which is good.

Like I said, the growling didn't really scare me for some reason. :/

I remember one day last summer, we were hanging out in the woods in Moscow suburbs with my GF and her sister. We knew there was a pets cemetery in a ruined house on the forest border and went there to investigate. When we approached the remains of the building we heard a lot of quiet noises coming from the inside - growls, howls, squeal... But when we came close enough to see, what had been happening inside - the place fell silent and there was noone inside. We didn't see any dogs or other kind of anilams running away either. Spooky, huh? :D

@Trulyfantasticme, it was most likely just a benign presence then, since you felt no fear.

@Coyote_A: What in the name of Hades were y'all thinkin'?  Didn't Stephen King tell you not to play around in a pet cemetery :p?  Or, should I say pet "sematary" :lol.

This one has been going on over the past couple of days, and it is really bugging me.  Going on four nights ago, I had a dream in which someone I've been estranged from for years showed up and asked me for forgiveness, apologizing for how they treated me when I was growing up (this is someone in my family).  I told them I forgive them, and they said that's all they wanted from me.

I thought this was just one of my typical dreams which are made up of metaphors and symbolisms, but then the next night I had a dream in which I found out from a cousin that this person had died in a car accident on their way to work.  I then jerked out of my sleep with that sick feeling a premonition comes along with, and I could not fall back asleep.  Ever since this dream happened, I've been carrying that sick, nagging feeling around, and it has moments where it's stronger than normal.

I believe I've ruled other unfortunate events ruled out.  Yesterday, my brother was attacked by a dog, but he's okay and thankfully does not need medical attention.  Then today, an F-18 fighter jet crashed into an apartment complex just a couple of blocks from my workplace.  Miraculously, both pilots safely ejected and NOBODY was killed or critically injured :wow.  People I work with live in that area, but thankfully everyone was accounted for.

The feeling still remains, though.  I have a bad feeling this person may die in a car crash.  Strangely enough, a couple of months ago, a relative had a dream of someone dying in a car accident and went through the same thing of waking up and feeling disturbed.  This individual I had the dream about lives in DC and is perhaps the world's worst driver, having been in a few fender benders and other accidents over the years.  I'm surprised they still have a license :crazy.

Cancerian Tiger, that was exactly why we came to that old farm in the first place. :p
Oh, BTW. Something odd had happened to me this morning. I was waken up at around 4 AM by the sound of music. Took me a few moments to recognise the ringtone of my very own cellphone. I've stood up and turned the lights on. When I picked up the phone I was surprised to learn that not only wasn't it receiving any calls, it was in fact trying to reach some obscure number. Aside from the fact that the phone isn't supposed to play music when you're calling someone and that it tried to phone someone on it's own, I should also add that I always turn off the sound on my phone before going to bed. But the mystery doesn't end there. You see, my first reaction was to turn the darned device off so that it wouldn't wake up people sleeping nextdoor. And the moment I pressed the "turn off" button, the screen went blank and the lights in the room went black for a few moments... What do you recon was that? O.o

Dude, that is really creepy .  Seems like some benign force obviously wanted your attention, whatever it is.  It is said benign spirits have a tendency to become more aggressive with their acitivity until they have your attention.  Many times, they're just playing practical jokes to spook living people.  Since, from what I'm reading, there was no threat to you (i.e. growling sounds, physical contact, etc.), that's probably what it was.  Just a prankster :p.

Whoa! Its been a while since I last posted here, hasn't it?

Anyway, it was 5:30 in the morning. My mom's stupid alarm woke me up, so I went to turn the stupid thing off. I then realized something; I had to go to the bathroom. I was just about to open the door and all of a sudden, the door starts shaking for about a few seconds.

But I open it up anyways and check for the source. Of course, there was nothing there. No one was using the bathroom so it couldn't have been my family. It couldn't have been the wind because the window was shut. It couldn't have been the cats, because...how the heck can a cat shake a door? That makes no sense. It couldn't have been an earthquake because I would have felt it too. Usually we get around 2.0 earthquakes. An earthquake that small could not shake a door like that. And plus if it could, probably everything else would have been shakey as well.

Was I scared? No, not really. I'm kinda getting used to these ghost encounters and I think I'm actually starting to enjoy them.  :lol After all, nothing really happens here and it's nice to have a little twist every now and then.  :DD

Okay, now I'm starting to get more than a little frightened. Something happened just moments ago...

Alright, I'm home alone right now; my family's out getting ready for my sister's graduation stuff (probably another award ceremony thing). As always, I choose to stay home and take advantage of the peace and quiet. Anyway, I'm in my room, reading one of my comics when I heard my mom's voice yell my name from downstairs.

I'm hardwired to respond (especially since my mom's very impatient when she has to call us more than once) and I got quite irritated as I'm not fond of having my relaxation interrupted. Without even thinking, I got out of bed, walked over to the stairs and yelled back to my mom, asking what she wanted. I got no response and I went downstairs. It was then that I remembered that I'm by myself right now.

I'm getting worried. I couldn't bring myself to finish my comic and I went straight here to post.  :cry I'm freaked out, especially since I read that an entity (especially demons....) will mimic the voice of a loved one in order to get you to interact with them. I read you're supposed to ignore it and not respond, but I forgot that I'm here alone and that voice was so clear and so spot-on with my mother's usual call that I didn't know better. I responded to the voice, and now I'm scared... :(  :(  :(

Maybe I should follow WeirdRaptor's advice and contact a priest; but I don't wanna upset my family, and I don't wanna be too drastic just in case this isn't what I think it is. Cancerian Tiger, you seem quite knowledgable in these things, any idea what it could be?
Title: Paranormal encounters
Post by: Malte279 on May 28, 2012, 01:36:29 PM
One thing that one should take into account when seeing or hearing something "paranormal" is that hallucinations are a relatively common occurence. Hallucinations do not mean that a person is "going crazy" or something, but can be triggered by actual physical functions of the human body. The result is that visual or audible signals are physically perceived even though the perceived source of the sound or view does not physically exist.
Many people have one or a few actual hallucinations in their lives. I myself had occasional hallucinations that triggered the sensation of falling (an outpour of adrenaline included) shortly before falling asleep. Especially in case of repeated hallucinations of similar nature (which can be fed by the subconsciousness) the interpretation of them being caused by some paranormal forces is sometimes applied a bit hasty. Do not allow for yourself to be too scared about this (fear gives a strong boost to perception of audible or visual signals that do not really exist).

This is something that I've learned in psychology class a few years back. All your senses are governed by electrical signals. Touch, sight, smell, etc. And when they misfire, the result is detecting something that isn't really there.

Schizophrenia is a condition in where these electrical signals repeatedly misfire, causing the person to hallucinate and detect things that aren't there. Of course, hallucinating once in a while doesn't mean you're schizophrenic.

I don't think you had a paranormal encounter, Flipper. I think all that happened was that your brain misfired a signal and you only thought you heard your mom's voice. It was never there to begin with. I mishear things myself and I always attribute them to just an error of the mind. The brain is prone to making mistakes.
Title: Paranormal encounters
Post by: Cancerian Tiger on May 28, 2012, 11:21:46 PM
From what I've read of your post, FBS, that sounds more like a brain misfire to me.  It's only happened once so far, and since you describe your mom as being impatient, perhaps you get anxious that you may not hear her call the first time.  Since you forgot you were by yourself, maybe your mind thought she was home and you were subconsciously anticipating her to call for you.  I'm not sure if I made much sense, but as others said, that is common and even happens to me at times.  There are other things that have happened to me that I will never doubt to be paranormal activity, but something like this is too common.

Something I should add is that, if it were to be a demonic entity, it would become more aggressive regardless of whether or not you ignore it.  In fact, ignoring it only pisses it off even more.  If this were what you initially suspected it to be, it would've become a much bigger issue by now ;).  Hope this helps.

*gives a HUUUGE sigh of relief* Thank you, Malte, DarkHououmon, and Tiger. A brain misfire is certainly a very comforting notion, especially when it doesn't always mean I'm crazy. In fact, I think I'd rather be crazy than thinking something evil was present.

Reading your posts on occasional hallucinations or misfires definitely eases my nerves. You wouldn't believe how distressed I was today, trying to get my mind off the incident. I guess I'm still paranoid about being in this house and jumped to conclusions. I'm glad there's members here to help me out. *group hug!!*

In fact, I don't think I've heard of this misfire thing before now. If it was a hallucination or something, I'm amazed how 'real' it was.  :o I never knew the human mind can pull something like that off. It's very interesting to learn and I thank you guys for sharing that too. Like my Mama always said, "You learn something new everyday!" :)

Really?   I always read that responding to a demon gives it more power over you and that ignoring it will make it go away.  :confused Wow, this is a confusing subject.

I met one, although I was very young at that time, maybe 3 or 4, and according to my mom, I was simply talking to the air, and my aunt told her I had made a friend with a ghost.

I honestly don't know if its true or not, but I just think that was an encounter.

I was about 18 at the time, my mom and dad went to work and left me home alone.  So what does a guy of 18 do home alone with a computer in front of him?  That's right...video games!  I logged on and began playing AVA.  I was enjoying my time, my dog was a happy camper...life was good.  When a match was over I headed upstairs to use the bathroom.  As I walked out, I noticed my bedroom door open.  I closed, so my dog doesn't eat anything in it and went back to playing my game.

The match was over again and I went upstairs to get a coke from my room.  Little did I realize that my room was open...again.  I looked around for robbers and grabbed my dad's shotgun.  I was so scared.  I turned a few corners and heard nothing...so I grabbed my coke, closed the door, and went downstairs to play my game.

I got back down and the computer was shut off.  I got tingles in my nerves and spine and hid behind my couch with the shotgun to see if anyone was there.  No one. Nothing.  I turned back on my computer and played my game again, looking periodically at my TV since it creates a reflection toward the other room.  I shivered and did horrible cause I was playing in fear.  I decided to calm my nerves by taking a nap.  When I got in my room, the door was open...again.  I slept with the shotgun in my blanket with me and hid my face.

Later, I woke up hearing my dog barking.  I walked downstairs to see him barking at a door leading to my basement.  I aimed the shotgun at the door and nobody was there.  The dog stopped barking and whimpered.  I followed him to the couch and sat there watching TV.  I switched to Hallmark channel to watch some Little House on the Prairie when I heard a loud thud in my room.  I ran upstairs quietly with the gun and aimed it at my room.  Nothing changed.  Everything as normal...nothin fell.

To this day...I'm still scared about that and shiver every time I get to be home alone.

Just the other night, my sister claimed to have seen a ghost. My mom and I were upstairs doing our own thing, and my sister was literally running around downstairs (it's something both she and I do alot, especially when listening to music or daydreaming).

Suddenly, my sister gave one of her startled screams and ran upstairs. Of course, Mom and I stopped what we were doing to see what the problem was. Sis told us that she was listening to her ipod when she saw something bright and misty beside her. I asked if it was just possibly lights from the window and she told me that she was in the living room, where the window had curtains closed 24/7 (it get veeeerrrrry hot in that room if we don't keep it closed).

Mom, whom I'm not sure believes in this stuff or not, merely went back into her room and Sis calmly said that she believes it's a friendly ghost since it hasn't harmed anyone. I go back to my room, saying that I typically don't mind ghosts so long as they're harmless (and leaves me alone....). She then lightened the mood even more by saying that she's gonna name the ghost Joe. :lol

If Joe exists and is the one responsible for some of the stuff happening here (the high uneasiness in the guest room, my Goblin toy moving on its own, etc), then I don't think we have anything to worry about. Though it doesn't help that the same night, I had a very vivid and terrifying (to me) dream.

You know how in dreams, it has this certain feel to it. Like some things are where they should be, but you still notice other things that are off and it constantly gives you hints that what you're experiencing isn't real. I always have those types of dreams, and this one didn't feel fake at all. I was in bed in my room and everything looked and felt like I just woke up in the middle of the night (something I regrettably do all the time; apparently my body doesn't like having a full night's sleep and will interrupt even the best of dreams just to annoy me  ). But this time I couldn't move, like at all. I automatically think that I'm finally experiencing this sleep paralysis thing (which I'm very fascinated in). Having calmed down upon learning that, I made some observations of it, wanting the full experience of how it felt. Suddenly, I feel something grab my ankle and the paralysis broke instantly. I thrash about and scream for my mother as whatever-it-was started to drag me off the bed. Whatever-It-Was told me that my mom can't hear me and I look over towards the voice to see a very tall dark mass with glowing red eyes that I was having trouble focusing on.

But luckily, I woke up. Waking up was very confusing as it felt like I was just starting the dream all over again. At the time, I wasn't too sure if everything beforehand has been real or not; or if what I was experiencing now was a dream too. I decided that I was fully awake and just had a simple nightmare (or night-terror, whichever you prefer) and tried to go back to sleep, still trying to convince myself of my conclusion. Only thing for certain, I couldn't get back to sleep at all.

That dream was very strange and didn't fit with my usual types of dreams (I usually dream that I'm a bat trying to find a place to belong and avoiding capture from my enemies or of being in the place of a favorite character and trying to defeat those enemies; or, for the nightmare variety, trying to survive in the presence of a psycho serial killer or trying to escape a force of nature, mostly a tsunami or a tornado), but I'm not jumping to conclusions at all, and is leaving the reveal of 'Joe' and the subsequent dream to interpretation.

Okay, I was laying in my bed with my eyes closed and I heard a snap from right by my bedroom door. It was slightly open. It was as though someone had reached their arm in and snapped their fingers. It gave a bit of a fright, but it was awesome. XD

I am not very sure about all the science’s hallucinations happen to everyone, though. I am born with second sight and I see spirits/ghosts(not human’s souls, really) frequently. However, four years ago, which was the last year of my high school, I took a part-time job in a food court inside a mall named City Mall. The mall isn’t famous amongst tourists but it is famous amongst the local people. But seriously, guys, that mall is very haunted. Many people beside me, especially the workers and shops owners there, including those who claim to have never seen a ghost before, frequently saw those ethereal entities flying and floating around both outside and inside the building when the sun started to set in the west horizon. The truth is there is a graveyard in the vicinity.

Eventually, I and the people there get used to seeing those things around us all the time. But then this thing happened. A thing I can never forget ëtill now. One evening, a young lady worker, who I was acquainted to, was washing dishes alone in the utility room at the back of the food court and she was being possessed by two evil spirits. She was yelling and screaming horribly. Many workers, which included me, rushed to the utility room to see what happened. She was thrusting and rolling on the floor while screaming with two creepy disembodied voices beside hers that sent chills running up and down my spine. One of the voices sounded like a male’s and the other sounded like a female’s, but both were other-worldly and non-human. Three strong full grown men tried to hold her down, two grabbed her arms and the other grabbed her legs, only to be pulled around by her as she tried to break free from their hold. And this young lady is an Austronesian lady with the usual petite built of the majority South-East Asian women I am talking about; her strength by then was astonishing. The men had no choice but to sit on her back with her face facing down the floor while waiting for some exorcists to come to our aids. The young lady still yelled and thrust around and the men were nearly bucked off her back. Then some exorcists came and they requested most of us to leave the place while they performed exorcism. Because they feared the spirits might try to possess other weak-minded people’s body when they are forced out of her. I left. When the exorcism was done, we returned to her and asked her what happened. She was crying and told us that when she was washing dishes alone in the utility room, she felt being watched and when she tried to exit the room out of fear, she was being possessed. The exorcists, who were some Islamic religious clerics, told us that fear is what make us vulnerable to possession of evil spirits.

I stopped working in that mall afterward because of the upcoming final exam and even after I graduated from high school, I don’t take part-time job there anymore because the mall owners are a terrible people. They are irresponsible and they always cover up some infamous cases that happened there like sexual harassment and snatch-thefts. But still, every time when I think back on that event, especially how the young lady screamed with disembodied voices, it sends chills running up and down my spine.

This happened back in April.

It was bout 8pm on a Saturday night and I was on here RPing with somerandomfangirl,Ducky123 and Zimba..normal right? Well I was laying in bed when suddenly I heard giggling, thinking I was hearing things I kept going on with what I was doing. Then it became louder which was followed by chanting "Die mortal being, die" then I DID notice. I looked behind me and I swear I saw a misty form of a person walk through my CLOSED door.

Still can't figure that one out....

The most for me pretty much happened solely during my visit in Minnesota last summer. I was having a conversation with my friend and her mother and they brought up the fact that one of their cats had stuck around as a ghost after death and would come around every so often.

And I sort of tucked it into the back of my mind until later in the week when I saw a cat galumph outside the room I was in, right out the corner of my eye. But there was no cat, but it looked like the one they had described. So I pretty much said "Hey um, I think I saw your ghost cat". A day or two later, I thought I felt a cat rub on my leg, but once again, no cats.

Jeez, is my cat magnet so intense it draws in ones from beyond the mortal coil!? Someone turn off my cat signal!
