I know but I tried too hard to get them done in a little time (since I hadn't much apart from time for the GoF :P:). I didn't rush the recent one though, I coloured it carefully and I didn't hurry :)

I actually planned to draw another picture with them but I epically failed at the sketch :lol

Next one will be Ducky in a rather funny pose... y'all will see :)
Oh, too cute! I love this scene, Petrie can't stay unhappy when Ducky starts singing ;)

haha lol :lol I think our post-counts crossed between 900 & 1000.. I made a fairly bit of my posts in the Party Room and in the Caption This and in some fanart/fiction threads :smile but I'm also very active in the discussions I think...

Those are some nice drawings!
Out of curiosity, do you draw it with a reference material like looking at screenshot or by memory?

Thanks :)

I used screenshots so far, I'm currently attempting to do a project using as few screenshots as possible though. I need to learn to draw my own things and not just to copy a screenshot ;)
I'm very happy that so many people like my fanart because I actually was pretty bad at art classes :angel I didn't know I'm able to produce fairly okay-looking pictures :)

Darnit! I kept forgetting to upload this :slap

Sketch:

Coloured:

I guess Ducky quaffed to much at Petrie's Starday Celebration Party :smile (don't ask why the left part of the coloured one is missing, I have no clue :confused)

I'm gonna move some stuff around on my photobucket account today and I might edit the brightnesses of some pictures (I figured some colouring didn't look that good in some recent pictures because they were too bright, especially the light green parts of Ducky looked bad)

I might redo my first drawing since it's pretty blurry due to the fact that I used my phone to shoot this picture :(

Oh, 1500th post :wow a good place to achieve this postcount, actually..

Hah! I love her expression here! Is this from number 8? It seems really familiar (mind you, I haven't seen LBT 8 in a few years)

I like the brightness, IMO it fits Ducky's personality, bright and cheerful :3

I'm going to show you an art project now. I thought I'd try a different way of colouring so I did the same picture twice. Enjoy!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Old style first... here's the sketch.

Yes, Ducky and Cera  :lol
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Coloured

Man, it looks far better after some editing :wow
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Yeah... normally I'd stop at this point, askin' ya what ya think. Instead I'mma show ya the new style...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Cera first, sketch only for the sake of completeness :P:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Aaaaaaand: Coloured *drumrolls*

I'm not entirely happy about Cera but I think I could get the point of the new style across...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
DUCKY!
>>>>>>>>>
Sketch for the sake of completeness

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Coloured (my mum thought it'd look better being bigger)

It worked better with Ducky I think...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So.. It would be great to hear your opinions of the new style :yes Do you prefer the old or the new style? Any general Feedback is always appreciated of course :angel

For the newer style to work better I think you would either have to do meticulous pencil coloring or go digital. With the way you color now the old style works better.

In any case, I would need to draw like a hundred times more lines to get the linework you have.

Thanks for your Feedback :)

I personally found it harder to use the new style, actually.

My lineart is probably as good as it is either because I just copy screen shots yet :angel or because I made the pictures sharper on photobucket.

I love the new pics. Interesting tutorial; you obviously have way more patience than I do to accomplish this in so much depth :DD

I just love how you capture Ducky's expressions - the fact that she's your favorite character really helps with the art process. Like my grandpa says and I quote: "the greater the relationship, the stronger the likeness"
So keep up the good work! :D

Glad ya liked it :)

Patience is indeed required... to some degree :smile and thanks for quoting your Grandpa, this is a true saying :yes

I do like the drawings here, and the way the different characters have different expressions rather then them all having the same expression all the time and the different poses.  I look forward to more drawings.

Thanks you two :)

I feel a little overrated at times because I just draw scenes of the movies as they are seen on screen instead of drawing my own things (or using a different style, position etc...)  :angel
If only I could draw off imagination instead of using references >_<

They also won't come very fast because school's being a pain..

My advice, is use a certain reference, but then wing it for the rest of the pose :)
that way, you'll have the design down pat, and you'll also be able to draw it how you picture it. Give it a try.... when you have free time, of course. I don't want to get you in trouble with the superintendent of your school... that would be bad O_o
