I mainly prefer the pointless teen slasher movies.  I don't know why, but I seem to be drawn to them. :lol But that doesn't mean I like other types of horror movies with gallons of blood splattering all over the place.  lol

-Halloween(1978) I like the first Halloween, the second one and the recent Rob Zombie remake.

-Friday the 13th(1980) I only like 1, 2 and 3.

-Nightmare on Elm Street(1984) Only seen the first, heard the rest sucked.

-Scream(1996)

-Slither(2006)

-The Blob(1988)

-Final Destination(2000)

-Saw(2004)

-The Hills Have Eyes(2006)

-The Ring(2003)

-The Grudge(2004)

-Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead(1968, 1979 and 2005)

Horror movies with more blood than a blood donation hospital have no appeal to me. They're just not my thing.

My list:

1. Rear Window
2. Psycho
3. The Birds
4. Night of the Living Dead (the only one of the "Dead" series I like)
5. Dial M for Murder
6. Dracula (the one starring Lugosi)
7. House on Haunted Hill (the original version with the one and only Vincent Price, the remake sucks)
8. The Mummy (the original, the 90s remake and its sequel is more of an adventure movie)
9. Man Hunt
10. Silence of the Lambs
11. Jaws
12. Carrie
13. Alien
13. Aliens
14. The Fog
15. The Howling
16. Poltergeist
17. The Thing (original and remake)
18. The Evil Dead
10. Evil dead 2: Dead By Dawn (the last two are guilty pleasures for the camp factor, and Bruce Campbell's hilarious performance, "Army of Darkness" is more a farsical epic, so it won't be on this list)
11. Friday the 13th (the original only, for people of the modern generation who are so used to Jason being the killer, having it his mom is almost like a great plot twist  :lol )
12. Halloween
13. A Nightmare of Elm Street (the original only)
14. Wes Craven's New Nightmare
15. Children of the Corn
16. Gremlins
17. Scream (the original only, the other two suck)
18. Predator
19. Tremors (Kevin bacon doing what he does best!   )
20. The Shining (TV movie remake, the one that didn't butcher King's material)
21. The Faculty (a poor man's "The Thing", but still fun)
22. Disturbia (the only horro/thriller of the 2000s that's actually frightening)

1. Saw Series (I couldn't choose one, so I say the whole series)
2. Final Destination 3
3. Black Christmas
4. Dawn of the Dead (Remake)
5. 28 Weeks Later
6. The Grudge
7. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Remake)
8. Jaws
9. Wrong Turn
10. Terminator

Now before you guys say anything, I realize Terminator is not a horror movie. However, there are scary scenes in that movie, and the Terminator's signature music is creepy. That's why I put it up.

...I could hardly watch horror movies; I've always sort of hated them.  Not the people that watch them, mind you, but, I guess I've always seen them as evil.

...I can't even hardly handle "The Green Mile" anymore, and we all know that's FAR from a horror movie...  ...Not since getting back into The Land Before Time...  It has completely changed me, back to the role  - and heart - of child, from the responsibility viewpoint of an adult.  (Well, young adult, anyway...)

The Ring and The Sixth Sense. I also like a lot of other horror flicks, but those two are my most favorite ones.

I like most of the black-and-white horror flicks and those made by Steven King.  To me, all the others are practically nothing but blood and gore.

Hmm...  I've never really considered Jurassic Park to be horror.  It doesn't have some elements that I would use to classify a movie as "horror."  (Though, for some strange reason, those reasons escape me at the moment...)  I also like that myself, but I was rather disappointed by 3 - though, again, at this moment, I can't say why...

I am a complete Horror movie freak but I have missed out on a lot of the good horror movies just for the record.

Scream Series

Final Destination 1 2 and 3

Halloween(Both Rob Zombie's version and the original)

The ring

The Shining

Child's Play 1 2 and 3

Children of the Corn

Nightmare On Elm Street

I really need to see more.

By the way LBTFan13

I notice you have Black Christmas on your list. Well if I'm not mistaken that's a remake and which one did you prefer the one that came out in 2006 or the one that came out in 1976?

I saw the 2006 version and I didn't like it. Frankly, I thought it was bad IMHO. I have never seen the original though.

The most crappy horror I've ever seen:
Silent Hill.
That's not horror! It's a joke!
Man I laughed when I saw it! Me and a friend had real fun that night!

I haven't seen so many horror films in general... any tips that would make me look under my bed for monsters?  :o
...............................................

Oh, I do have ONE horror that really scares me:

Final Destination.

Oh.. my..god, those movies make me sick!  :o
Do well. Live well. And dress very well.
