I thought it would be useful to have a thread for the DVD releases of Journey of the Brave (LBT 14) worldwide, so people know when the movie will be coming out in their country:
USA: Initially exclusive to Walmart, followed by retail release on 10th May 2016
Australia: Released as "The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave" on 7th April 2016
Canada: Released as "The Land before Time: Journey of the Brave / Petit-Pied Le Dinosaure: Le Quete Des Braves" on 10th May 2016
Finland: Released as "Maa Aikojen Alussa: Rohkeiden matka" on 4th April 2016
France: Released as "Le Petit dinosaure: L'expÈdition hÈroÔque" on 5th April 2016
Germany: Released as "In einem Land vor unserer Zeit: Die Reise der mutigen Saurier-Freunde" on 21st April 2016
Italy: No sign of DVD release
Norway: Released as "Lillefot og vennene hans: De Modiges Reise" on 4th April 2016
Portugal: No sign of DVD release
Russia: No sign of DVD release
Spain: Released as "En Busca Del Valle Encantado: Viaje De Los Valientes" on 27th April 2016
Sweden: Released as "Landet fˆr l‰ngesedan: De modigas resa" on 4th April 2016
Thailand: Released as "ญาติไดโนเสาร์เจ้าเล่ห์ ตอนการผจญภัยของผู้กล้า" on 15th June 2016
UK: Released as "The Land Before Time 14 - Journey Of The Brave" on 23rd May 2016
My main reason for searching worldwide was to hopefully find a Blu-ray release, but it seems like the movie is only been released on DVD :(

It doesn't seem to be available in Canada at all. :(
This is all I can get in Canada, at least from Walmart:

I suspect the delay in Canada, is related to the Walmart exclusive in the USA. As titles from major studios are usually released in Canada and the USA around the same time.

The exclusivity to Walmart STILL baffles me. Just... why? Heck, there are those who hate Walmart with a passion so much that they won't shop there. (Some reasons are stupid, but there's still reasons.) I offered to sell it on eBay for a limited time and I got a good number of orders. Made no profit, but that wasn't the point of the whole thing in the first place.
Why miss out on freaking Best Buy? Or Target? Or other places? Heck, why not add in Redbox? Just... why? It just makes no sense.

I've checked and there is no word about the 14th LBT film ever getting an official release here in Soviet Russia... Every other site where the movie is mentioned calls it "The Journey of the Heart" too which was the WIP title. <_<

That is the DVD release from the USA, notice the '[Import]' in the title name.

No release date for Portugal either. The last two DVDs of the TV series were never released here, however all twelve sequels were.
Guess I have to wait and see.

No sign of a Blu-ray release of the original movie in the UK so far. The Blu-ray release of the original movie in the USA is reported to be region free, if it is any help.

Sadly I don't see them releasing the movie here any time soon... It probably won't make much money and let's face it - our market is anything, but favourable at the moment.

Still nothing in Portugal. I went to Fnac, if there are any french users they'll know these stores, it's basically a store that sells books, CDs, Records, DVDs, Blurays, Games, some toys and some tech, but it started as a CD and book store, and they don't have any release schedule for this DVD, it's nowhere in their database.
If it's not there it won't be anywhere else, at least for the foreseeable future, it's one of those stores that can basically import anything, even if it was never sold here.
In which countries besides the US, and the UK, has JotB been officially released?

The horrible God awful directed is Davis Doi the guy that makes horrible kids that insults the younger audience's intelligence. Every thing he does is just a embarrassment. God I don't know why he Bothers directing movies when he's god awful at it.

I think this is quite an accurate recommendation. LBT 14 has it's many weaknesses but it also has some things that have been very well done by Davis Doi ^^spike
By the way, it's such a shame they probably won't release it in Russia. I still don't see why they should suddenly stop releasing the movies in russian... that's like only translating the first few episodes of Game of Thrones :D :bang

If I had to guess, I'd say the Russian division of Universal probably isn't doing so well right now. Their sales have definitely dropped for multiple reasons in recent years... No point in spending money to localize and distribute something that's not exactly a "triple A" product.

I could actually. Wouldn't be the first time I ordered an official DVD from the States... Had to do it with Steven Spielberg's animated TV series before, like Tiny Toons. Those never got officially released here either.

Wow that's awful that your country doesn't have many of the stuff Americans have. If that's the only way than it's your only option. In America it's sells for 9.96 in Russian Ruble it's 649.82.

Well saw it the 14th movie and I have to say for what it is its not bad. However that doesn't mean that it was a great movie. I will say though it was better than the 13th one.
I also thought it was cool that Littlefoot's Dad made another appearance. Plus Chomper and Ruby.

I think a lot of bad kids animation movies are better than Land Before Time 13. The diggers where the only cool characters in the movie.

Journey of the Brave is a good sequel, not great, but still better than some of the later ones. As for Davis Doi, I haven't seen any of his work besides LBT XIV, and I have to say he did a pretty good job. One needs to understand that a director's part in an animation movie, or any movie for that matter, doesn't allow him to be that creative.
Sure, he picks the shots and how the characters are layed out, and he directs the voice over actors, but he has little say in the plot and in the animation. He probably revised the script, but whichever faults that you may see in the story it's the writer's fault alone. Maybe the producer too, if he was very active in the planing of the movie.
Still no release date here in Portugal.

The DVD from Region 2 is available in the UK through Amazon.co.uk, it will probably be cheaper for you. It's only £5. I just haven't bought it, yet, because I have all the others with the Portuguese covers and dubs, so I'm going to wait a few more months. The one available on Amazon is dubbed in Spanish, Dutch, French and German.

I don't know anything about them, but it's Lisa Melbye and Diedre Brenner. There's no Wikipedia page for them either, and I don't know of any of their work.

Don't forget the director Davis Doi I know his work far to well. And still suffering from it today. But I'll give it a tad bit of credit it was slightly better than the thirteenth movie by a long shot. Those Diggers where actually the best characters In the movie. They're very good comic relief.
