Hate to admit it to a bunch of Land Before Time fans, but I'm just as big a Watership Down fan, and I've always wanted to run a WD board. That time is now and from here on out, I feel its better I simply keep my online priorities straight, and choose one theme. Therefore, the GOF will become my WD board because I don't have the time to go through and re-create a new board. Plus what the heck...I've already got a memberbase and don't have to wait months to establish a new one.
So anyhoo...welcome to the warren people! :D :D :D :D

Yes, I know you to be a fan of WD, Petrie, but I also know you wouldn't go through with something like this unless you discussed it with the other mods and they agreed on it as well.
I know things like this are a TEAM decision and not an individual one. :D

Ha ha. :p Very funny, Adam. :p April Fools is thin, old and stale for me. :p I wore it out and beat it to death with a book 10 miles long of constant jokes that would last for months on end as a kid. I think I did that for two years.... :p
Though, I must say, there is something funny about a prank like this.. :p

I hope this is an april fool's joke, cause this is pretty crushing for me. With all this talk of there being no more new LBT movies it would be horrible to lose this last bit of the land before time.

Of course it's a prank, raga. ;) But the tradition of April Fools is to be a practical joker. Though I no longer directly participate in the festivities myself, if someone pranks me, I have no qualms. :p

It's obviously a joke. Seeing as how where I live, it's only two more hours until April 1st. Besides, layout aside, everything is still the same. The name of the forum, the smilies, everything. Pretty good though. I have to admit I half-believed it at first XD.

Just for the record, I didn't fall for it. Universal proably has better things to than troll fansites.
The prank last year had something to do with text vanishing.

It seemed to upset people so badly that we broke off before Adam had a chance to ban Tim :p

Heard you talking about this change for ages, Adam! While I'm a bit disapointed to see the GoF as we knew it no more, like we've said before..it's not LBT that made us a community, but our friendship. :) I'm sure WD will treat many members, both new and old, very nicely.
This has been discussed among the staff in previous months. While we weren't exactly fond of the idea at first, we couldn't help but realize that Adam had simply better arguements for changing it than keeping it. In the end I'm sure it will be for the best. Adam knows what he's doing. ;)

The Rabbit frightened me when i first saw it... :lol . If this is an April Fools Joke, good one. I've been getting fooled a lot today. :( I can't get on as frequently as i used to, so i was seriously thinking "No more LBT Forum?". But hey, if it does happen, i can live with it. I don't know what Watership down is, but it looks quite interesting. Maybe i'll watch it (or...read it?) sometime. ;)

Anyway, couldn't fool many of you with it...its April fools! But I do have a WD liking, so don't put it over me to make a WD board. :p :p However, many of you overlooked the admins more subtle joke on the board, and as such, we got a couple of you good! If you can find it you still have time!
In the meantime I'll transition our board back the way it should be. I might keep an element or two of this theme...its a nice green/pink blend. Like spring.

I actually have two pranks going at the moment, neither one of which are about Watership Down. One of them involves all of the admins, as Adam was saying. The other is a little device of Mumbling's and my creation. ;)

They're still out in the wild. The admins one is only going to be picked up by members that have been around a couple of years.

I personally have no clue as to what's going on, but then again, I'm a shadow lurker these days, and, while not wishing to offend anyone here, could care less about April Fool's... :p No offense, and I don't mean to sound like an unlikeable meanie. But I for one almost totally forgot about it yesterday; nobody mentioned it at work, and as soon as I got home, other things were my cup of tea. :p

Last year's joke was the reason I avoided the GOF on April Fool's this year. I'm glad I did not see this one...I would've had an aneurysm for sure :p. Yeah, I have a great sense of humor, but there is also such a thing as taking things too far <_<. While the statement of LBT not being THE reason we're a community may have a truth in it somewhere (though I have yet to find that reason), it is what brought us all here to begin with. I know I would've left this site for certain if this was for real, as I love LBT WAY more than WD (no offense to fans). Nice try, though :p.

The thing with Iris and Tim is not what I'm talking of either. There was actually a birthday of a member on April 1--but its not true either, because any member that has been here more than two or three years is aware I have a test account to test member levels stuff. Cheapachu is me, and anyone who told him happy birthday on April 1st got pwned. :nyah :nyah :nyah

Not like that had been many though. With the number of replies to birthday topics of people who never ever posted here I thought that Cheapachu might get some more. I can definitely attest Kacie not to be fooled. She pointed out that fact (that Cheapachu is your testing account) to me on MSN ;)
