This is the RP that I had an idea for in the role=play discussion, the rules are there, so read them before you contribute. This game is now free to play.The rules and units of the game.

Since the end of the second Great War, Greece was entangled in a civil war between those who follow the ideals of democracy and communism, and eventually split into two separate countries named after the city-states of their progenitors:  Athens & Sparta.  But with communist Sparta to the west and democratic Athens to the east, separated by their supporters, they signed a no-fire truce between them for the time being, and shared the surrounding waters to foreign trade.  But in order to remain in existence from attack from its neighbor and the Warsaw Pact, Athens developed its own war machine, with assistance of other Mediterranean neighbors like Italy, Spain, & Israel.

In the years following the second great war and the reformation of the world political map, the United States emerged, alongside Athens and Russia, as world powers. Following the re-constitution of the world, the former confederate states won victory in a second civil war, and were not at odds with the United States. The first battleship in the new fleet, the Iowa was completed, along with 2 destroyers, 2 frigates, and 1 cruiser. They, supporting the democracy of Athens, propose a pact of friendship with the country.

After the end of the Second Great war Russia emerged with as larger nation with the nations in eastern Europe falling under it's control. with the ever growing size of the country the Kremlin agreed to expand the military to protect the nation, and if necessary to attack any would be aggressor. The expansions included the construction of the new Kirov class battlecruiser one of the most powerful ships ever made for the Northern Fleet.

The offer of friendship from the United States is welcomed by the government of Athens, even more so due to an emerging threat across the sea.  The country of Libya, taken over into a dictatorship soon after the second great war, began to amass their own armies and lay claim to water territories where international shipping is depended upon, threatening to sink any civilian ship in or near these waters if they are not paid in millions...

As a country that survives on the sea, Athens has made it their top priority to strengthen their navy to counter the threat, protect all international shipping, and to eventually push their adversary back to the coastline.  But to do this, they must first assemble their newly-designed Themistocles-class cruiser, not only strong enough to face other enemy ships of equal size, but also capable to carrying troops in helicopters.  And time is against them...

America agrees, and 10,000 dollars are collected from their factories, they order two more battleships, which are laid down, and construction begins. How's that?
