You cannot set separate images for forum moderators.
You can't? On the pebble and the penguin forum I have a user group created for forum moderators, with one icon; and another user group for global mods; with a different icon. It shows up different too, unless I misread something?

One could make it:

Newbie: Ruby (she IS the newbie of the gang).
Junior: Chomper (also not part of the original Gang of Five but has been around before)
Senior: Spike
Queen: Petrie
King: Ducky
Ultimate LBT Fan: Cera
LBT-aholic: Littlefoot

In case of the Mods and Admins I think the change I suggested could be done but is not a necessity unless a majority of the mods and admins is in favor of it. I'm not voting on this one because I'm happy either way, but what does every other mod or admin think, would you like your images to be changed and if so which character (or item (after all there are some of significance in LBT)) would you like to have?
I just came up with an idea that could be an improvement on your idea. If I remember correctly, the junior and senior titles were inspired by the rankings of high school or college students. But there's two more titles that can be taken from that inspiration, so here's my suggestion for the rankings from lowest to highest:

Freshman
Sophomore
Junior
Senior
Queen
King
Ultimate LBT Fan

I'll let everyone decided how the gang of seven can fit onto this set of rankings, but here's what I think would work:

Freshman: Spike
Sophomore: Petrie
Junior: Ducky
Senior: Ruby
Queen: Cera
King: Chomper
Ultimate LBT Fan: Littlefoot

^This isn't an education forum.  Junior and Senior aren't just for school. But throw in Freshman and Sophomore and it totally changes the meaning of the member titles.  And Besides, I spent 12 years trying to get out of that crap hole.  I doubt many of us want to be reminded of the horrid experiences we had in our school years.

I'm just hitting high school this year, so I don't want to be reminded of it on GOF too. I could call my school worse; but this isn't the After Midnight forum-so I'm quiet.

Junior and Senior can mean more than high school, though that was definitely an inspiration for the titles.  I think if we focus on Malte's list with my small change, that would update the list to include Ruby and Chomper and keep just about everyone happy. :)

You'd need to switch Ducky and Petrie for obvious reasons.
Aye, my mistake ;)

Bron is certainly not a character I would want to be represented by. Only if any mods or admins feel in a similar way about Topsy respectively Littlefoot's grandpa there would be any reason for change there at all.

One question.  Can we increase the size of the member title images a bit?  Fitting "Ultimate LBT Fan" on such a small image is difficult and if it's going to be Cera then she'll likely have to be smaller than the other characters due to the fact that the title will have to be above her (or below I suppose).  Of course I could just put the title above all the characters, but I think I tried that last time and it didn't look very good.

The icons are allowed to be any size up to at least 200x200 pixels, on my Tremors forum, these are the size I use for mine:

103x64 pixels. The images are allowed to uploaded with no trouble, but if you exceed 200x200, it won't upload, at least not on my forum.

I would say 150x150 would be the largest.  If you get to the 200x200 you're looking at images bigger than your avatars.

^Well 150x150 would be 4x the size they are now so I don't think we need to go that big.  But maybe 90x90 or something.  It depends.  I'll do whatever looks the best.  Get me a finalized list of the member levels and I'll get started on them as soon as my schedule permits.

I'll update this thread as I have more images.  For now, I'm using this thread to test how the images will look on the forum.

I really like the Ruby and Chomper images you made :yes
They fit in very well with the existing one character images. Good job Austin :)

I like the image you chose for Ruby (although her wrists and ankles look really thin), and Spike looks pretty nice. (I prefer the Spike icon we already have, but then I always have a hard time getting used to changes.) For some reason, though, I don't like the Chomper one so much. Maybe it's just that I prefer his LBT II and V designs to his TV series design? Also, maybe it's just me, but the shadows and outlines on Ruby and Chomper look pretty dark, which personally I don't think looks as good against the dark GOF wallpaper.

By the way, maybe this has been brought up before, but we currently have only three members with the “LBT-aholic” icon, and seven with the “Ultimate LBT Fan” icon. Although this number will inevitably increase, there will probably always be a vast discrepancy between the number of members with those icons and the ones with King, Queen, Senior, Junior, and Newbie icons. If we do go with this new system, does anyone have a problem with the Littlefoot icon being essentially the rarest icon on the forum? (I don't think that came out quite right, but you know what I mean.)

My apologies in advance if I'm being annoying here. :oops

What do you guys think of something like this?  I've always been a fan of the web 2.0 fade reflection effect.  I use it a lot when making websites.

The image is technically larger in size, but the character still appears relatively small.  There's plenty of room to continue the long text next to each character if we choose this.

Unfortunately that's just because they were taken from the TV series.  The Spike image was taken from LBT 8.  It's unavoidable.  I'll try to take the rest of the character images from the later movies if possible.  Though I may have a hard time with Petrie, Mr. Threehorn, and Grandpa Longneck.  Since I'm going with full body shots of them standing on the ground, they're difficult to find.  And I'm not going to take any characters with cut off tails or anything and just fade them out like I did with the previous images I made.  These are going to be really high quality web 2.0 icons.

Meh, I don't care for it personally. I find the reflection distracting somehow.

By the way, uh…I was almost too embarrassed to ask this…but does anyone else see something discomfiting about the position of Chomper's hand? (Hint: scroll down to my first caption.)

Wow! Liking the changes peeps! (sorry, I was away over New Years so I wasn't at a computer to jump in :( )

I like the new avatars LBTLover and the reflection effect looks cool too.  ;) Also liking the ranking order suggested by Malte (with Petrie's two pence worth in there too). I agree that the mod and admin avatars should remain as Mr Threehorn and Grandpa Longneck respectfully but don't suppose there would be any harm in updating those as well would it? Unless that was the initial intention (in which case I'll shut up now!  :p  :lol) Still, all looks good! Nice job! ;)

That's Chomper's pointer finger Pangea. ;)

Anyway, I like the one with the fade on it over the others, but that's just me. :p

Special effects on images always draw me in. :smile

I admit, it's the same with me. If there's nice effects to it it makes me favor it  :DD

Personally I'd love those as the knew ranks. Gives me a reason why to become a  Ultimate LBt fan, or a LBT-aholic XD

I know, but that's the problem when you have three fingers: the pointer is the one in the middle.

By the way, has it been definitively decided that the member levels will be changing (and that this will be the order used), or has it yet to be voted on in the Rock Circle? Also, I can't help but notice that there don't seem to be many non-admin/mod members commenting in this thread. Is there a wide enough sample of opinions yet?
