I do have a question. I'm mainly here because Aves drug me here, I haven't watched the Land Before Time since I was little. I had no idea it had a large fanbase, why the interest?

I admin a sonic board, even though I stopped really being into that a decade ago. I know oust of our users are mainly there due to being at least in some respects "furry". Is it the same thing here? Or did I miss some deeper meaning to those old movies?

No mocking or anything, I'm just curious.

Yeah, that's basicly the main jist of the site. We like the movies, thus this site was born. It was when Petrie said "Let there be a background" sometime in the last few years.

but yeah, there's a massive fan base, even for the sequels

I cant explain why we like LBT, I suppose we each have our own reasons.. for me, I always felt a certain connection to the original.. I loved the characters, and the story inspired much of my own personal fiction

I really didnt like the concept of the sequels until I came here.. then I kinda got into them =P

Well, yeah, there's always the original. One of the best reasons to like LBT, really. Such a good movie, it's a real shame I don't own a copy of it anymore.

I like LBT, not sure why, I guess a part of it is that they are dinos, more of a scalie then a furry myself. Some of the songs are neat to listen to sometimes, some are a bit silly too.

Scalies, Furries, you say toMAto, I say toMAHto, lets work the whole thing out. It's probably just the fact that cartoon animals are cool. And the campier than songs and stuff, the more nostalgic it makes you.

We each have our reasons. Me, its the original film, and the soundtrack by James Horner that accompanied it. You're welcome here regardless of how much or how little you may like the film or sequels. There are many general topics abound.
