Do you have any hobbies, and if so what are they?

My hobbies are very simple, for now at least. It basically consists of eating, sleeping, reading, games, school, homework, studying, listening to music, ect. Although there are many things I'd like to do in the future. Some things include swimming and walking exercise daily, gardening, and watching movies.

One former favorite game I have is Minecraft. While I grew out of it, since 2016, I'll never forget the early joys of it. I would probably only play it now if I had some friends or family to do it with me. Otherwise, I'm done with that game most likely. Some of my current favorite games include Doom, Viva Pinata, Kinect Sports, Skylanders Swap Force, Crimson Alliance, Castle Crashers, and some classic Sega Games like Shinobi and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Yeah I know, most of these games are old as well. :P

I'm with you regarding Minecraft. I too have since grown out of it, but it was an amazing experience back in the day.

Do you have a favourite non-LBT animated film?

Not at the moment, at least. I have watched some movies during my lifetime, but for some reason I generally do not watch movies, something which I plan to change in the future.

What was the darkest movie you’ve ever seen?

Once again, haven't really watched much movies. But for me, I'd probably say Animal Farm. It's very dark considering that it's a children's film. That's not to say that it isn't disturbing for an adult as well. I like how much that movie conveys to the viewer with basically almost no dialogue.

What mythical creature do you wish actually existed?

I would say either an Alicorn or a Dragon. An Alicorn is charismatic, cool, magical, and adorable, while a Dragon is fierce, brave, inspiring, and pretty awesome. It seems that I kind of like two mythical creatures that both have contrasting auras to each other. :P

What are some of the best vacations you’ve had?

I have not had many vacations in my lifetime, but I'll say my vacation to Disneyland was one of the best. The rides, attractions, and nostalgia galore was all around me. I had a pretty good time staying there for about a week or so.

Edit: I meant Disneyworld, sorry. I honestly keep getting the two places mixed up. One is in California and the place I went to was in Orlando, Florida.

Have you started watching the rest of the LBT movies yet?
:cerahappy

Erm... Not yet exactly. Lots of big assignments near the end of the year for some reason. But now, other than an easy project, I basically should be done for the rest of the year to watch as much as I want. :)

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

None really. I can watch a movie over and over, but then I get tired of it overtime. That's not to say that I don't like the particular movie, it's just that I need a break from it. Then later on when I come back to watch it, everything is refreshed and I have the same sense of enjoyment that I had watching the movie the first couple of times around.

I would make them destroy all of my worst enemies! :bestsharptooth
But...nobody has done me wrong, so I won't do any malicious intent. Either way, I'm too nice to do anything too bad. :angel

Eh, I guess forcing the person off their lazy behind and actually commit to doing good in school would be something I'd do. Besides, you literally only need to do the work to get into honor classes. It's easy and not much really. Of course, only specific people with this problem I'd possess.

For everyone else, I guess I would make them watch LBT. :lol

What songs hit you with a wave of nostalgia every time you hear them?

I can't really think of any songs on the top of my head other than Stressed Out by twenty one pilots or Monody by TheFatRat, but in general any songs I've heard in early 2010s and before would give me a wave of nostalgia, especially realizing how long ago those songs were made, but yet it still transcends beyond generations of people because we enjoy it so much. :)

Well, I couldn't really say for sure as I don't really play any musical instruments. But, I'd say the drums and piano is my top picks.

What weird food combinations do you really enjoy?

Original flavor potato chips and ketchup! Both contain a lot of sodium, so I'm just adding salt to the wound, am I? :p

I don't get to go to good restaurants often. As for fast food, I dislike them more everyday and only go for their french fries. But I do like pizza. So I would go to Papa Johns for delicious pizza. There's also this local pizzeria nearby that I have heard of, but never really cared to try it. But when one of my teachers at school ordered us pizza from that place to eat, it was quite scrumptious actually! It was only cheese pizza too and not pepperoni. I'm now psyched to order more from that place someday. :D

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you want to be?

I never really thought about it too much. But some of my candidates for where I would want to live include Kaikoura in New Zealand, Sweden or Finland, Kyoto in Japan, the Northwest region of North America, Colorado, and perhaps even Canada too.

What food have you never eaten but would really like to try?

I don't have any foods I'd really like to try at the moment. But once I discover more about different types of food in the future, I'll let you know. I have ate the same foods here all the time since my birth after all.

Favourite season of the year?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on May 26, 2019, 03:25:02 PM

What was your most and least favorite classes to take in school?

I'm going to tackle this question by listing each of my classes in chronological order from most favorite to least favorite. Since I'm currently a freshman in High School, I'll just list my classes from there. I will also color code them to indicate how much I like/dislike it. Alright, let's go! :)

Living Environment H :celebrate - I'm telling you, this is the best class I've ever been in through all my years of being in school! This is the most unorthodox class I've ever experienced, but I love it. Everyday is a brand new adventure waiting to happen just inside that small room. So much laughter, joy, fear, and pretty much every spectrum of emotions happens in that classroom. It can get tense and pretty wild at times because of it, but that's also part of the fun. You know why I'm describing this class with so much euphoria? The teacher of course! I've never seen a teacher so different from the rest! His method of engaging and teaching us in the class is phenomenal! There are so many tips he told us in class that are very useful and can be applied to other instances in life. His personality can be compared to the solar flares of the sun! His humor is top notch as well, I say! So once this school year ends, I'm going to be left sad and disappointed when I have to leave his class. I can still visit him though afterwards obviously, so all is well.

English 9 H - Another class that I'll miss dearly after the school year ends. English is probably one of my least favorite subjects, but this teacher sure knows how to make the experience as fun as he possibly can! He's a charismatic, friendly humorous, and just overall awesome guy to know and hang around with. He's always so optimistic and calm, something I love about him. The method that he teaches us with is also excellent. The use of anecdotes, videos, songs, and his own personal experiences are ways that he makes learning so much more enjoyable. He's also glad to offer us help when we're struggling on something or if we need him to read over something we do. I don't really understand why some people in my class kind of dislike him, but it's their opinion as always. :/

Global Studies 9 H - Starting to get a bit redundant as this point, but I'll say it again. This is another teacher that is very nice guy to be around. This class may be a bit more boring than the others, but I still love it a lot overall. He's very fair on the work load, homework, and due dates of things. Just like the previous teacher, he helps us out in a pinch if we're having trouble. It is a very easy class in my opinion though.

Media Productions I & Going Green - Decided to link these classes together since they're managed by the same teacher. His personality is awesome! A very fun, enthusiastic, and fair guy. Pretty lenient and fair with the work and due dates, even extending the time for some of our assignments if most of the class is behind (or just too lazy to do the easy work, perhaps?). We're in a computer lab full of macs and we do everything on there. Video editing, making music videos and other types of videos. It's very fun in my opinion.

Going Mobile - A class with a subject that I probably won't invest further in for the future, but I still had a very great time being enrolled in it. It's also a class in a computer lab, albeit a different room with Windows computers.

Home Economics TD 1 & 2 - Nothing much to say really about this class, but it's a very relaxing way to start my day everyday in first period. Mostly sewing and sometimes drawing. I enjoy the activity. The teacher is nice and helps us out when we're having trouble on a project of some sort.

Physical Education - Can be very fun at times, but I do wish that we had the choice in what sport we wanted to play every time we go into gym. Personally, I'd go for the swimming pool. :)

French 2 R - It's not a bad class at all, especially with the teacher. She's very nice and lenient. I just don't enjoy this class as much as the others, that's all.

Geometry H - Once again, not a bad class at all. While it is boring with the way she teaches us, it's a very effective way of delivering information to us and helping us remember! :)

Favourite season of the year?

Winter used to be my favorite, but now it's Spring. Don't get me wrong, I like the cold and definitely prefer it over a sweaty hot summer, I just don't like how barren and lifeless it is in winter.

What is the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on May 29, 2019, 03:45:50 PM
Well, this would've been a question I'd ponder about for a while, but with my recent purchase, it wasn't hard. My best purchase is the LBT Complete Movie Collection that I got from Amazon for only $16.99 or so, a 72% price cut from the original price of $59.98. I was so happy with that one day deal honestly, I just couldn't let something like that slip by! :p

As for one my worst purchases, well I'll just pick another one of my more recent (but not very recent) thing I got. It was a Retro Arcade Joystick in the shape of a Pacman. I was left feeling pretty disappointed after trying it out on the TV. Hmm, I guess the feel wasn't the same, as in the joystick itself. The Pacman shape really sucks to hold with those irregular pointy edges. Some things were also different like sound effects, music pitch, and ect. This purchase was intended to replace another joystick I had that we thought broke, but it turns out the glitching screens were because the batteries were drained and needed to be replaced.

Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on June 03, 2019, 01:32:20 PM
I had to think a bit about this, but the answer was right in front of me all along. I value in Friendship the most the aspect of always being there for one another when things get rough. You're able to share many thoughts and secrets you're not comfortable telling others. Friends comfort one another and have fun with each other. True friends would never backstab you no matter what. All of this can happen because of a strong bond in trust. Once you break trust, it can be very hard to repair.

Swim with Orcas
See the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024
Visit Mountain Beach in Gastchurn, Austria for the largest natural pool in the world.
Visit Kyoto, Japan to experience the authentic culture, cuisine, and many places.
Visit Watership Down, Hampshire.
Visit Bow Valley in Alberta, Canada.
Become a Marine Biologist.
Go to Six Flags in New Jersey.
Go to Yellowstone National Park.
Go to Kaikoura, New Zealand.
Go to Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida.

Nothing in particular actually, or anything that was already covered in many fanfictions. But I do want to see a fanfiction that explores the previous events that occurred leading up to the accidental kidnapping of Chomper's egg.

Also, this other idea was first mentioned by StardustSoldier, but I express interest in it too. What exactly happened to Cera's mother and her siblings?

What changed in newer editions of The Game of Life that made you not enjoy it as much?

To be honest, I never really had the newer version of The Game of Life. I just went by what lots of others said in the reviews of the newest edition. There seemed to be an overwhelming amount of one or two star ratings on it. But obviously, 5 star is the majority. But I'm deterred from a product if there's too many bad reviews. By the way, I do read them thoroughly and not just look at the rating. Of course, my opinion may differ from theirs if I actually get the product, but would it be worth it?

The longest that I've lived in a single home is the one I'm currently living in, probably for 12 years or so. The shortest single home I've lived in was in another one before my parents bought the home we're in now. It was maybe for 2 or 3 years, I'm not sure. That is because I really don't remember anything before age 5 of my life.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

I'm quite proud of the award plaque that is hanging on my wall in room. It was a "Principal's Award" I got during my middle school graduation ceremony last year. I was honestly pretty surprised at this, but then again it was an award I earned passively, just by being myself throughout the school year. And what I mean by that is excelling with my grades, having a lot of friends, being courteous and quiet, and just being overall a modest guy. I helped out others with school work and stuff when they had trouble too. But trust me, I also needed help sometimes too. This was my first award I got that wasn't made with paper and ink.

What book, movie, video game, etc. do you most wish you could forget, only so you could experience it for the first time all over again?

For books, I'm not sure really. For movies, I don't know... The First LBT Movie? :P. As for games, Minecraft, Adventure Quest, (a guilty pleasure of mine), and Viva Piñata. The first two games because of the pure nostalgia and joy it had, and the third game because, while I had so much fun playing it, I kind of already had background knowledge watching someone else play the game.

How much free time do you usually have for yourself every week?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on June 06, 2019, 05:16:18 PM
With the 10 months out of the year where I go to school, at maximum I'd have 10 hours of free time on a weekday, but that's rare. Just to clarify, I'm talking about a particular weekday, not the entire five day weekday.  On the weekends, it's very common for me to have free time for basically the whole day, unless I have to do some work or something else for that day. In the 2 months of summer break, well for the most part my free time is endless. But I'm afraid that'll change this summer with the amount of summer assignments I have. :(

I like animals, but yet there are so many that I haven't encountered or interacted with in real life yet. As for insects, eh. For some of them I instinctively freak out and get someone else to kill it because I'm too afraid. :lol
But now, I ignore them mostly and only take action if they're a nuisance, such as being near my food or bed area for instance. Otherwise, I mostly observe. I still sometimes get caught off guard and freak out though. :P

I would love to meet an Orca someday, in the big blue ocean. That'll be an awesome day. :D

Also, while it's on my mind. From the Corrupt a Wish thread:

Granted. Universal makes another LBT film, but it's a complete disaster however. The plot is simple enough. The main characters live in the Great Valley peacefully, a conflict arises. Littlefoot and friends go off on their own adventure, and so forth. The movie ends on a happy note. Here's the surprising plot twist though: all the main characters are now empowered female characters with Mary Sue qualities and personalities. They introduce another Sharptooth character just like the one in the first movie to demonstrate their powers. They stomp and kick the sharptooth to death somehow, despite being way smaller than the sharptooth. The day is saved, movie ends.

Were you thinking of the 2016 Ghostbusters? It's the first movie that popped into my head, at least. :P

Yes, I do like to read! Well, more recently anyway. I hated reading when I was in elementary, and got more into by the time Middle School came. I'm more into fictional books. Some books I've read recently includes Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood. :D

No actually. I was more thinking of the feminism ideology in general. On the topic of that, its original goal of equality for both men and women has been construed to a whole different meaning in modern times. You can blame that on women that want much more and even go as far as to hate men. It's sad, really. So much of that is publicized on the internet, and there's so much footage on YouTube if you just search for it. Egalitarian is the real term for equality for all people, so everyone should advocate that instead.

But now that you mention it, yes the movie does relate to what I wrote for your wish that I corrupted. I saw the trailer a pretty long time ago, ugh. ::)

What part of New York state are you from? You don't have to give me a specific town or city, just a general area is good enough (such as the Adirondack Mountains, or the shores of Lake Erie, or along the Hudson River, or perhaps even the Champlain Valley just across the lake from where I live).

What is the first thing you do in the morning?

On schooldays, the first thing I do is slam my alarm a couple of times as I don't really feel like getting up for school yet. But since I know I have to go to school, I eventually get up and go to the bathroom to wash up. I change from my pajamas to my normal clothes. I make my bed neat and watch some TV if I have time and don't wake up too late. I sometimes eat breakfast too depending on how early I wake up or if I'm in the mood. The rest is easy to figure out from here.

It's in my profile description. But I'll tell you here. I reside in the Long Island region of New York State.

I've suppressed my negative emotions a lot actually, not anger but sadness. It's up to the point where I don't really cry most of the time anymore even if I feel something is sad. Although there are things that have caused me to feel tears swell up, and I now let them flow, for the most part anyway. I realize that suppressing emotions is bad for you.

Hell no. I wouldn't want to see all my family, friends, and loved ones die off as I remain the loneliest person on Earth. In fact, eventually everything will die, correct? So I'll basically drift in space to stare at nothing forever once the Earth dies and all the suns die. Besides, I'm pretty sure most people would go mentally insane if they live for such a long time. They'll want to end it all and be at peace permanently.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Well, not really sure actually. My childhood so far has always been pretty normal. Yes, there are things that make me very happy, but in terms of actual events, not really. But I'm just going to say that I miss playing video games with my brother mostly everyday in early 2010. It was lots of fun. We could still do it today, but both of us are not really feeling it.

At the end of the year in school, one of my teachers actually had Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse for the class to watch. I enjoyed that movie a lot. Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on July 02, 2019, 11:46:59 PM
For math and AP World History, they involve packets that are thinner than you may expect for a summer assignment. These will be the quickest assignments to complete for me. The other two...well they involve books and writing. For English, there's two novels I have to read, along with three essays I have to write. For AP Psychology, it's one novel, and I have to write index cards for each chapter, citing important details in each one. That's about it. Overall, it's actually a pretty fair workload.
:olittlefoot

As for anime, I'm not interested in it (besides Pokemon), and I don't really mind it for the most part. It's when anime is being shoved in everyone's face that it annoys me. You can blame the internet for that. :p
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: StardustSoldier on July 02, 2019, 11:51:48 PM
That's fair. While I haven't experienced this with anime specifically, there have certainly been many times when I got burnt out on something simply because the hype train ruined it for me.

Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on July 03, 2019, 09:53:25 PM
Yeah, I'm a fan of both the Pokemon games and the show. I have watched all the episodes of the show except for the more recent Sun & Moon series. That I have a lot of catching up to do. As for the games, I have Pokemon Sapphire, Pokemon Moon, Pokemon Ultra Sun, and also Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. They're pretty fun to play, but it does get repetitive and eventually boring after awhile. So I'll stop playing for a long time, probably a year or more, then start playing again. I try to get different Pokemon with each restart I do, but things that you can do differently each time is kind of limited to be honest. So yeah, I don't actively play or watch Pokemon, but when I'm in the mood or have a lot of free time, I would definitely do so.

Edit: I also have Pokemon Crystal on my 3DS. It's my most recently played Pokemon game, although I think it's been at least a year since I played it.

Just curious, but why don't you like the concept of shipping?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on July 12, 2019, 01:45:16 PM
I just think it's pretty ridiculous. I have no idea how some people can come up with whatever crazy combination of couple pairings they can think of. Some of the shipping makes sense, but others well...it just seems like they chose to ship those two specific characters just for the sake of shipping. I guess...my opinion of shipping can be compared to a kid who says "Eww!" at two people kissing in real life. That's one analogy I can think of for now. I would say I'm a bit disgusted by the potential artwork or whatever else that may come out of a shipping. :confused

That's my two cents on the concept of shipping. I guess the people I'm describing are the most extreme shippers.
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: StardustSoldier on July 12, 2019, 02:49:45 PM
I tend to be fairly neutral when it comes to shipping. Occasionally I will get genuinely invested in a couple or a potential couple. Case in point with LBT, I am in favour of Littlefoot x Cera and/or Littlefoot x Ali, albeit not as much as some others are. But then there's plenty of other times when I don't really care. I do agree that some people come up with ridiculous combinations and/or take it too far, especially when people get into heated arguments about it.

It's very simple really. I actually mentioned it once in my Welcome Post (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=16340.msg479540#msg479540)! :DD

I'll say it here though. The first part of my username "Impractical" was inspired from a truTV show Impractical Jokers! The second part "Dino" was used because, well, dinosaurs! The Land Before Time is dinosaur themed, so yeah. :smile

It was a pretty typical first day of school for me. I get to see my friends again, which is obviously great, and most of the teachers seem pleasing enough. There were so many class syllabus' and contracts to read and sign, and many different things I had to sign up for in connection with a specific class. Pretty hectic for me after coming home, but much more peaceful and organized today. :)

I just never really cared about it. I receive no presents either, but then again I never really know what I want anyway. :p

Oh, and the reason why I don't really care is mainly because my family doesn't really care about celebrating birthdays in the first place, so that viewpoint has transferred to us basically. :P

Do you know what you'd rate each LBT movie (that you've seen so far) and the TV series out of 10?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on September 24, 2019, 09:03:01 PM
Alright, for the movies so far...

The Land Before Time: 10/10
The Land Before Time II - The Great Valley Adventure: I have to come back to that.
The Land Before Time III - The Time of Great Giving: 8/10
The Land Before Time IV - Journey Through The Mists: 9/10
The Land Before Time V - The Mysterious Island: Same as II.
The Land Before Time VI - The Secret of Saurus Rock: Pending review...but probably the same or worse than Journey Through The Mists.

As for the rest of the movies, you'll have to wait until I watch them to give my review.

For the TV series...well if I would overgeneralize everything, it would be a 6/10 probably.

I have a four day weekend after Friday this week (yay!), but hopefully I won't have too much homework. Well...considering that I'm going to be assigned a brain project tomorrow for AP Psychology, um...I'm not too positive about the amount of free time I'll have. It's also annoying when you have another AP class, plus honors classes which give out homework everyday for some reason I don't understand. Last year, the honors classes I took barely gave out any homework at all, so I don't know what's up with this year. Eh, I guess its just high school getting harder I suppose...?

Actually, no. For some reason, I literally have no games (besides Plato) on my phone, which is possibly because I don't really use my phone that much at all besides for school, calling and texting family members, and listening to music. On my IPad, I mainly focus on YouTube and Adventure Capitalist. Search these apps up if you don't know what they are.

Eventually... :slap

Do you think flying taxis will ever become viable?

I don't know, maybe in the foreseeable future, but not now. It seems like they're using helicopters for the "taxi" or passenger transport. It would probably be too expensive for normal consumers, so Uber, Lyft, normal taxi, and the like would still be the dominant choice for people to get where they want to go.

Here's your next reminder. :cerahappy

Although I've been rather busy myself these past couple of weeks.

I get so much homework every, but more specifically from one A.P class of mine I'm taking. Procrastination doesn't help either. So a lot of nights I would only get between 3-4 hours of sleep, sometimes 2 hours, and sometimes five. It would be a miracle at this point to get 6 hours of sleep (a.k.a the standard average I set for myself on a school night). That would be enough for a good night rest (for me anyway) and not fall sleep in every class at school. By the time I actually get the motivation and incentive to do my homework for the day, well its basically near bedtime. So, yeah.

I think I have only ever used one type of pen (ballpoint), so that I can't say for certain yet.

Probably if I have nothing better to do. Other than that, not really. I would most likely be interested in the Lego & LBT crossover fanfic you made however.

Have you ever lied down on a bed of nails?

Nope, nope, nope! It sounds painful! It does, it does. :sducky

My apologies if this has been asked before, but I am always curious about people's experiences with technology as time goes by.  So with that in mind, what kind of computers have you had during your life?  Do you remember their operating systems and specifications?

Well, there was this old boxy Compaq desktop computer I was using back in 2009. I don't really have a memory if I used that computer any previous years, but that's all I remember. It had Windows XP on it. We switched shortly to the HP computer that I'm using now, much more thin and rectangular. It had Windows 7 for most of its lifespan, and now it has Windows 10 because of the free upgrade. I regret doing that because of all the bundled junkware and spying crap that was added with the new operating system. I saw no difference with the performance level between Windows 10 and Windows 7, but then again what would I expect on such old hardware and all the stuff that Windows 10 came with. As you may have guessed, every specification this HP computer had since the beginning is still intact and the same. For watching YouTube and browsing the internet, it does perfectly fine and there's no need to upgrade anything. The processor on this computer is a 2.30 GHz AMD Sempron(tm) Processor LE-1300, with 3 GB (2.75 GB usable) of ram installed in it. Also, it's a 64-Bit operating system. I never really paid attention to identifying any of the specs, but luckily Windows can provide you with easy information on that by accessing the Device Manager. :)

Actually, it isn't. I did it once at a science museum. You do feel a prickling sensation, but it's otherwise not painful at all. The reason is because it's your body weight evenly spread out across all those nails. Hence, combined, they're able to hold you up just fine without puncturing you.

I’m honestly content with the eye color I have, generic as it may be. Although, I think I would change my eye color to gray or amber probably.

I actually knew since you already explained it in Anagnos’ Ask Me Thread. I just wanted to do a Ducky impression. :p
Nonetheless, it still looks painful though.

The origin of Hoomandil...well it’s pretty simple really. When thinking of my username, I thought of the word that people would use as a joke when portraying how an animal would refer to humans from their perspective. As for -dil, it is sorta based off of the way that Lapine words end with -il when they are plural. I wasn’t satisfied about the look and pronunciation of the username at that point, so I decided to add a d before -il for the “dill” pronunciation. I liked the way that Hrududu (Hrududil) sounded, so that was where my last bit of inspiration came from. That word refers to any motor vehicle in the Lapine language by the way.

Probably if I have nothing better to do. Other than that, not really. I would most likely be interested in the Lego & LBT crossover fanfic you made however.

I should probably clarify that among those links in my signature, the first two are actually crossovers of LBT & Bionicle (by far my favorite Lego theme), which I wrote around the years 2008 to 2013 (thus why I felt the need to mention the way they're written is quite different from what I do these days). The last one is actually a crossover of generic Lego (bricks and minifigs) with Equestria Girls, and happens to be a series of many stories (the link in my sig leads to a topic that links to those stories on another site). If you're curious about how long these fanfics are, the LBT/Bionicle stories are both just a little over 100,000 words each (the second one would've likely ended up twice as long had I not decided to cancel any further progress), while the still ongoing Lego/Equestria Girls series is well over half a million words in total as of now.

I can't think of any questions to ask you right now, but I figured I should at least let you know about all of this to prevent any confusion.

I don’t know really. And besides, my central focus of interest is now on other shows like LBT (obviously), Watership Down (Before finding LBT), The Animals of Farthingwood (Before finding Watership Down, and I already watched the entire series), and recently Kimba The White Lion, which isn’t my main focus at the moment, but I do plan on watching all of the episodes too as well. Haha, thanks! Watching so many episodes of literally the same formula all the time can get pretty repetitive. My favorite Pokémon anime series was XY and XY & Z. I felt that Ash has matured so much during that time and felt like a competent trainer...only to lose the Pokémon league for the 20th time already. I really enjoyed the Team Flare Arc that came after it though. I also liked seeing Squishy (Zygarde) and Bonnie’s relationship develop throughout the latter series. It was so adorable to be honest, and it’s pretty awesome to imagine a 5 year old girl befriending a legendary Pokémon. The fact that Bonnie is somewhat spiritually connected to it and she can feel the pain that Squishy is feeling really shows how far they’ve come in just one season. The feeling of friendship was one sided at first, but it quickly turned mutual. I won’t mention more details because then it’d become more spoiling. But then again, I think I already told a lot though. :p

Thank you Mo. :)
I would say that I like you a lot simply for your carefree, optimistic, and playful attitude that you seem to possess all the time basically. I won’t get the full perspective of his character until I watch the 9th LBT movie, but Mo was an instant favorite the moment I set my eyes on him. He seems like the type of guy that could make friends with anyone honestly. Let’s see if my love for Mo sustains or wanes by then.

I think I know who your favourite MLP character is. Do you have a second favourite?

Haha, yep Pinkie Pie is actually my favorite character of the Main Six. My second favorite would have to be Fluttershy. She’s honestly very brave in many situations despite being very, very socially introverted. But obviously, her adorable and gentle character is the reason why she won me over as well, and it gave me a more sympathetic outlook on other animals.

How different do you think you'd be if you were born a decade or even half a decade earlier?

Hmm, I’m not sure. I haven’t thought deeply on a topic such as this, and there are too many variables to juggle with honestly. :/
If you’re talking personality wise, then probably not much change. But then again, the attitude of my parents and the environment they lived in a decade ago was also different, so I think the change would be moderate at worst.

So you know nothing about Mo but his appearance? What do you headcanon Mo's voice to be, then, so you can later look back after Journey to Big Water and see how accurate you were... :Mo

Uhh, actually since I’ve seen the entire LBT TV series, I know how Mo sounds like. I will admit, he may get a bit irritating at times, but I can never ever stay mad for long. :)

I keep forgetting you've seen the TV series...

The one with Mo obviously :PCera

But in all seriousness, this is a question I genuinely can’t answer at the moment. The LBT TV series is my first interaction with this franchise as a whole, and I was only watching for pure enjoyment and entertainment at that point in time. So, I didn’t really care to detect and evaluate all the good/bad things that I thought about a certain episode. It was something I watched to relax on school nights before going to bed. So yeah, give me at least a few weeks to about a few months to come back to this question.

^There's been tentative talk about setting up a TV series community watch/rewatch starting in the new year, where we'd cover an episode every week or two weeks. I think that'd be a lot of fun, so hopefully it comes to fruition.

Anyway, I know you talked about this in another thread. But, in a nutshell, what is it about the current state of the Pokémon franchise that you're unhappy with?
Title: Re: Ask ImpracticalDino
Post by: ImpracticalDino on November 22, 2019, 12:27:29 AM
If you’re looking for a quick answer, I would say that Pokémon has definitely reached a new low in terms of the quality of their games. The graphics, the animations, the cut of the National Dex, the pure lack of a post-game are just some of the things I’m not happy with. In terms of enjoyability and entertainment, I think that all Pokémon games satisfy those areas regardless of everything else. So if you’re a person that plays casually for fun, I think you would still enjoy it. Although, by buying the game you are supporting the company that is literally cutting corners left and right with the recent games. Getting it used or borrowed would be a better option if you still want to play the game, but at the same time not support the creators. Since I don’t want to see the decline of the franchise that I grew up to love, I’ll refrain from buying this time. But then again, it didn’t matter too much, as the games already sold 6 million units worldwide during its weekend launch.

https://www.polygon.com/pokemon/2019/11/21/20975776/pokemon-sword-shield-sales-fastest-selling-nintendo-switch-game

Oh, I was also mad how GameFreak lied about the reason for the cut of the dex. Higher quality animations, remodeled Pokémon from scratch? Nope, reused animations and the exact same models, ported from their 3DS counterparts.

Ooh, that’s pretty neat! It’s set up on the weekends, right?

Yes, but not really. I like to wear any clothes that feel comfortable to me and have no particular images on it (maybe except if it had LBT content on it? Who knows, lol.)

Oh, and no jeans!!! :lol

Do you feel like a generation gap exists between juniors and seniors at your school?

Hmm...now how should I answer this. I am only a Sophomore, but I am in an AP Class where Juniors and Seniors mostly inhibit. So based on that experience, I would say there's not a generation gap between them.

But generally speaking, I would say no as well. I don't think that their beliefs and thoughts would differ that greatly tbh. And besides, doesn't everyone just follow all the same trendy stuff today? (Ugh, memes man.)

I'm not sure if I understood correctly, sorry.

I never specifically said I preferred shorts, only that I didn’t like jeans, a type of pants. Normal long pants are fine.

I know you didn't say shorts specifically. I just wondered if, at least during warmer weather, if your lack of love for jeans meant that you were more into shorts instead. Although admittedly, I'm the opposite; in that I'm so used to jeans as long pants that I was having trouble thinking about what other sorts of 'long pants' would exist. I know there are other varieties, but it just seldom crosses my mind.

To address your first question, indeed I do currently own a 14-film DVD set. Yes, I did see the 1st, 2nd, and 5th LBT films before owning the set. I saw them by watching the movies online, simple as that.

No, I haven’t seen all the Ghostbuster movies, and definitely not the 2016 one by any chance. I have watched both Ghostbusters I and II, but unfortunately not through their entirety.

I see. I thought it may have been from a scene in the movie during the dad song since there was the violet hue in both of them, but I see now where the Cera image was taken from. What surprised me was that Cera's horn was also purple, so I didn't know what to make of it. :P

Hmm, well I would want to relive the moments that I spent with my sister the most during my birthday on November 18th, 2018. Last time we got to spend a lot of time really before her passing away. :(
Oh, and I'd also wanna relive all the precious time I spent gaming with my brother, in the past and in recent months. Those are very fun times.

But other than that I can't really say I have any other particular moments or memories that I'd really wanna relive, lest my childhood if we can go broad like that. Sure, my moments in life overall were good, but nothing overly spectacular or special. Mostly normal if you get my drift. :)
