How could I go about doing this? :lol Ok, well maybe it's clearly impossible but I have about 100$ and everything, I just need to find a way to buy them...without anyone else knowing

Well I did talk to my mom and eventually I brought it up and I told her that even though it sounds strange, that is the thing I want to spend my money on the most. She actually didn't have any problem with it, though...I'm still a little bit embarrassed about doing it

God nothing would make my day more, than to be able to watch them all on my computer :D

Ebay. The internet is rather anonymous and it is about the only place where you can be almost certain to find all the land before time DvDs.

I suppose, but doesn't that require a credit card

Also, my mom always gets the mail as soon as it comes in. Unless they would come in a big brown box, then I'm all set! :D

I don't really know about the situation in America. However, usually the sellers tell on their selling pages which kind of payment they require. There are people who don't insist on paypal (which would indeed require a credit card). Some people will even allow a different kind of payment if you ask them in a friendly manner, even if they state on their page that they will accept paypal only. I once bought a book from Colorado by sending a cheque (not the safest thing to do, but it worked out and it might be paranoic to think that of all the letters in the world the one in which you put a cheque (wrapped in paper so it can't be identified) will be intercepted.
As for your mum, I thought your passion for LBT was alright with her? So what's the problem.
Maybe the little picture I attached to this message will reassure you a bit. It was taken when I was almost two years older than you are now. I'm now 21 years old, but don't even think any of that stuff I spread out in our living room for this picture left my room since then.  :lol

lol god you really have all that stuff? Lucky

God I would get Land Before Time EVERYTHING in my room, but...I think my family would disown me :lol

And about my mom, yea I suppose she's ok with it but It's still just the fact that whenever we go out usually everyone goes (Never just me and my mom, she can't drive lol) and I just can't admit to everyone X.X

Ah, its the image factor that's troubling you.....what will people think of you purchasing LBT dvds?  Frankly, if they ask, reply, "Is there something wrong with that?"

Otherwise, yeah, ebay and amazon.com are pretty anonymous but yeah, you will probably need Paypal for at least ebay.  You don't need a credit card...you can hook up a checking account to it, but you'll have to do some verifying to prove its your account...could take a few days. ;)  I had to verify one so I could sell things on ebay.

You're not alone, brother.  But my mom doesn't have a problem with me liking the LBT.  But since my sister found out I've never trusted her.  She nearly blew it a couple of times.  But if any news leaked out at school, I would be in a living hell for the next three years of high school.  My school is full of antiLBT rednecks, and if they found out, I would be so dead.

Reminds me of the look I got when I went into a place called "A & B Sound", a local music / DVD store, looking for LBT DVDs.  While I was there I couldn't believe my eyes when they had BOTH of the 4-movie "dino packs".  Immediately, I grab them, and take them to the cashier...she must have been late teens or early 20s.  She gave me the screwiest look I think I've ever seen, when I purchased the gift sets.  I could clearly tell she thought I was disturbed.  Maybe the fact that I was very happy when I finally found them didn't help  :lol but still...

But that's ok.  It was worth it - I have my gift packs now  :D

I have two sisters, both older than me :( One is fine with me liking it (To a certain extent I'm sure) for she likes it too, and the other one...well she's not the kind of person who would blab it out, but I just really don't want her to know for I don't know just how she'll ever look at me again

Are there kids that constantly bring up how bad The Land Before Time is or something? O.o

Aha, I can only imagine :lol, but why O.o? Unless you really looked excited, how could she have known whether you wanted them for yourself, or whether you were looking all over and finally found them to buy for your neice's birthday party or something
Heh I guess she could just tell :wow

But anyway I'm still clueless about how to buy these things. I guess the only way is to just confess :(

You could try checking out Walmart or Target sometime.  Over the past few months, Universal has released 2-9 on double-feature dvds at about 15-20 bucks a pop.  They just released 8-9 this tuesday.

I'm not too sure.  But I'm pretty sure I can feel it in the atmosphere of my extremley hectic high school.

Today I made a very good catch. Second time actually. I don't remember if I mentioned here when I got LBT 4, 5, and 6 on DvD from a video store (the kind where you can usually borrow videos / DvDs) for mere 4.90 Euro some time ago. Though "used" the DvDs are in mint condition. Today I happened to enter that video store at the right time once more. This time I got LBT 2, 3, and 7 for the same price. As a consequence I have all LBT movies from the first to the 11th on DvD now. So far I had some of them on video only. DvDs with the possibility to switch languages are much easier to deal with. I haven't yet looked through all bonus materials, but I'm afraid that little more than the usual "learn to count up to 10" kind of games can be expected. Still a good catch :)

Just 4.90 euros?! How did you manage that? I want a store like that one :D
I'm also thinking about buying the dvd's from all the 11 lbt's only have some on VHS =x I was thinking of ebay, and since you're native tongue is english, or at least I think it is, I'm sure you'd have no problem with it, it's totally safe to use a credit card, and most of the times the things come in brown boxes, so you wouldn't have to worry about your neighbours spotting it out

Still I want the portuguese version of the series and those are very hard to find, I'll have to check out places like fnac. The other day I got into one and decided to look around but found no lbt or kid's movies section. I used to buy them on VHS at Toys R Us, however I never got any strange looks from the people their but I guess I wasn't that excited =p

Wow, Congratulations Malte! :D That is indeed quite a deal!  You are right though; there aren't many special features on any of the DVDs that are worth watching.  I just wish I could find the LBT soundtrack that cheap... :p  Had you ever watched these new films on DVD before you purchased them?

Nope, I only had the videos (both German and English) of these movies. I must admit that I do not see the major difference in the picture quality (it would probably take a better TV than ours to make that noticable). But since our video recorder (the one by my Dad's) broke I didn't have much of a chance to watch the movies. And prior to that I had to be in a rather "daring" mood too to watch the videos as there was always the chance that the video player would eat up the tape (it did that to our video of Braveheart). So I feel much easier about the DvDs.

As I said, the DvDs came from a video store where you usually rent videos. So I bought the DvDs used (but still in mint condition). Perhaps you might want to check your local video stores time and again. I'm afraid for them the LBT movies are no "best sellers" (or rather best renters) which is why they were sold so cheaply in such a good condition.

Ah... I see, I've founf all 11 movies on a store that usally sell's dvd's books and things like that. However, they're 8,95 euros a piece which means the whole collection would cost me 98,45 euros. Do you think I should buy them? I was thinking of buying the first 5 now, and then buying like 2 or 3 per month, so the check at the end of the month isn't as high =x

Most stores in my area sell the pre-viewed copies when they're no longer feasable to rent out and they're about $9 a pop, so Malte got a really good deal. :p  Want to come convince the stores are here they ought to lower their prices?

Lol, I doubt that would work =x I've just ordered lbt 1 to 5, they're going to cost me 50,75 euros, 8,95 each plus 6 for the shipping... It's not a great bargain, but it's best to buy them now, in a few years who knows if I'll even be able to find them. By the end of this week I'll probably have them (=

LBT 3 to 5 will probably arrive tomorrow :D
I sent an e-mail asking why lbt 1 and 2 weren't shipped yet. I doubt they'll respond to the e-mail but the other DVD's will most likely be here by friday. Ah, can't wait maybe I'll do one of those marathons, it's been such a long time since I've done one of those things =p
