Hey guys it's been a LONG time since I last posted on here and I'm not sure if this is the place for this post but what was the first Land Before Time you ever saw? I'm sure most of you will say the original but the first I ever saw was The Mysterious Island. I'm looking forward to all your answers! :)

Gonna have to be really boring and say that the first film I watched was indeed the original. I didn't watch any of the sequels until a while later.

My first film was LBT VII (The Stone of Cold Fire).

Appreciate the answers so far and I'm not surprised that two of the replies thus far is the first LBT, after all most don't even know the sequels, and TV show for that matter, even exist and those that do don't think of them fondly.

The first film in this series I watched was The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving.

I can't really remember the first Land Before Time film I saw. I know that it was definitely on public television.
I think it was The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water. This one is actually the first one I can really remember, but I'm not entirely sure. In fact, I'm sure it wasn't the first movie.

First for me was the original movie. I also watched movies II through VI in the same day.

LBT III was my first. I borrowed the VHS from the library for reasons I cannot fathom. Have been watching ever since.

According to my mother I watched the original Land Before Time film when I was 3 years old. It was being aired on television for Christmas. I'd say we should bring it back as a Christmas classic!
However the first LBT movie I remember watching was LBT 4. At some point my parents had bought that movie on VHS and since it was one of yhe few VHS tapes we owned I watched that film a lot!

This is a tricky question because I don't remember very well what movie was the first one that I watched. I would say the original was probably my first ever LBT film. It's been really long time.

I don't remember. May have been the third one, may have been bits and pieces of another one, not sure honestly. I do know the first one was my reintroduction to LBT though. :)

I don't remember the first LBT film I ever saw, as it was so long ago. #1-3, 5-6 were the ones I saw as a kid (the rest I saw later as an adult), so it would've been one of those five films. Of those, I have a feeling it might be the original, but I really can't say for sure.

Oddly enough I think it might have been 3 on a rental VHS for me! Took me a while to realize there were more.

I remember, that it was VI, Secret of Saurus Rock. I remember, that I liked it, and in following weeks I watched another LBT movies, which were accessible at the shop, V, VIII, and XI.

You know, as I was reading through this thread and getting ready to respond, I was thinking to myself, I'm surprised I never commented in here before. Then I come up to my previous post that I'd totally forgotten about, haha.

While I'm still not completely sure, my gut feeling is that it was the original I saw first. Especially given that my family owned the original on VHS, but we didn't have any of the sequels (which I watched at my elementary school).

Though I don't plainly remember what my first LBT movie was, I have reasons to believe that it was - of all of the entries for me to be introduced to the series through - movie 11.

REAL: it was actually the great valley adventure. I watch this all the time since I was little and I still love it. Fills so much nostalgic

Obviously the first film I watched was the original, although I never saw the full thing until 2019 when HBO added the first 10 films (that was when I got into the franchise).

I honestly can't remember since I think I started watching the films when I was 3 I believe. It might have been the original or one of the sequels. But I do know that the first ones I got on DVD were the original, The Great Valley Adventure, and Journey to Big Water.

But so long back I can't recall the specific year...probably very early 90's

The first for me was VIII, which was lucky because it was definitely one of the best sequels in my opinion. I later watched the original and VII-X, then tried to watch some of the others on Youtube back before the copyright was as strongly enforced. This was all before I turned 10, BTW.
