Yea so never posted on this subsection but was doodling some Petrie not too long ago so here the doodles ma dudes
this world needs more petrie :anger

For some reason, Jacob(?) here is much better than rough or scary looking Petrie. :s
Try to make more to get it better. ;)

While the drawings themselves are quite nicely done with rather smooth lines, something in these sketches makes Petrie look really weird. There might be some other problems as well but the most obvious things I can point out are the large eyebrows here Petrie doesn't have and the too small rings around his eyes. The drawings have nice expressions but their anatomies should be more faithful to the character. ;)

I must confess I was experimenting with what I saw online and these are the results of that. This was all learning to get his features down so I know there's a lot more to do to get a clearer picture. I did draw the eyebrows too large but he does have brows they're just a lot more uniform in shape, smaller, and less flat, which in some of my doodles I greatly mischaracterized. Still fun though ^^

I agree that these sketches are much better than the first ones! :DD Now his face looks much better and I love the expressions and poses in the top left and lower right pictures! I've never seen fanart from you before so it's great to see another talented artist here! Great job with these ones! ^^spike

And Sovereign thanks too. The first piece was actually me doing poses for somebody on Skype lol. first time drawing him. Second one I tried to be more deliberate ha. Yep first time posting in this subforum. I'm kind of mixed on art cuz on one hand i've drawn before and tried doing animations in the past etc but most of that was yeaaars ago. Im the kind of guy that has always been interested in art but never disciplined enough to practice it. but recently been taking classes. although work getting in the way; But I digress! Will probably post more in the future

Hey Ludichris1, it's great to see another person try out some fanart!
There's certainly some interesting depictions of Petrie between the two. I don't know about anyone else, but personally I like the middle one on the 2nd picture. His pose and expression make me feel like he is trying to be a therapist or something.

You mentioned that his eyes should bigger and I agree. I would actually even say that his whole head should be slightly larger as well. The 2nd set shows a lot of improvement though! Looking forward to seeing more! :DD

As for Ducky, I did change the hosting from postimg.org (from google drive) to gyazo earlier today. I would've thought there'd be less problems o-O?? Anyone enlighten me on this 'cuz i used direct link to the jpegs...
