Anyone else looking forward to this game?

I LOVE the fact that your Shepard is carried throughout the entire trilogy, with all the choices and people he's either saved or sacrificed. This game looks epic.

I can't believe this is only 2 1/2 weeks away!

*gasps with sudden realization*

Oh no!  I've got to get my main character up to date and ensure I save the new crew in ME2.

I'll be busy, busy, busy for the next two weeks.  Wish me luck! :)

Another awesome thing is that this time you're fighting in a full-blown war against the enemy. Not just you and your buddies but all the civilizations of the galaxy are fighting the Reapers.

I wonder what the Council's reaction to the Reapers will be...

MY GUESS:
"This is a heap of galactic bulls***."

As much as I'm looking forward to ME3, I doubt I'll be grabbing it on release day. Purely coz I don't have the money for it right now. I know for a fact that I WON'T be transferring my file of ME2 over to continue in #3 coz I ended up losing 4 characters in the final battle with the Reapers! I was horrified! Don't ask me what I did or didn't do but despite clearing all missions (main and side), gaining everyone's loyalty, kitting out the Normandy to max spec, I lost Garrus (my fav side character), Mordin, Grunt and Tali. It didn't even explain why Tali and Mordin died. They were just dead at one point!! Clearly I made some questionable choices throughout the game which lead up to their demise. So, in light of that fact, I'll be playing ME3 with a fresh new Shepard. :DD

Apparently, if you've been playing the ME3 demo, the stuff you collect in the Multiplayer (i.e. the starter pack and the other bonuses on offer), you get to keep those for the actual release. Also, if you happened to try out the Kingdom of Amular demo, you get a bonus unlock to use when you boot up ME3 for the first time. Think it's a weapon of some sort.

I played the demo, it looks promising. I just wish they would stop selling games for $60.00.

The way I always do the Suicide Mission is this:

VENTS: Legion
1ST SQUAD LEADER: Garrus
CREW ESCORT: Mordin
BIOTIC SHIELD: Samara
2ND SQUAD LEADER: Miranda
FINAL TEAM: Miranda and Tali

Then I do all of the side quests (not the ones you send drones to on remote planets for, I don't bother with those.) Then I do Arrival and Lair of the Shadow Broker. Then I am all set and ready to go!

Okay, here's how much it'll cost you to get everything in the game.  Sit down.  Take a deep breath and click the link.

And most of what it gets you in-game is just weapon variations, skins and multiplayer unlocks, rather than ëreal’ content.

I'm not going to try to get a 100% for this game.  I'm just going to try to get the good ending.

The game itself is good enough for me. :)

@Littlefoot1616 - I know you need to gain the loyalty of every character as well as all of the ship upgrades to get on to the collector planet, but then when you have to chose people to do various tasks you have to choose the right ones. I can't remember off the top of my head which ones go to which task, but there actually is a right and wrong person for each task. You might have chose squad mates that were not the best choice for the task at hand, which is why some of them died.

I am stoked for this game. Mass Effect is easily my favorite RPG series of all time and I've been craving to dive into the story ever since playing the demo. I've been playing through the first two games to get my file transfers ready, and I'm super excited.

I love the multiplayer. It actually forces you to work together with your partnerts, otherwise you get swarmed by baddies and die really quickly. This is actually my birthday present from me since it comes out the day before my birthday, so I'm super excited :)

I agree, Multiplayer is a fantastic addition to the series. Right now I'm focusing on my Engineer (Whom I've renamed to Issac Clarke from the Dead Space series) and my Sentinel named Octavia (Another FiM reference).

And they've got a lot of voices coming in on this game. I now firmly believe that Martin Sheen is secretly planning world domination...

Looks like it may be a cool game.  Though I can't play it yet, I look forward to when I can play the games in the series.

I think I figured it out.  You not only have to build up the Ship and Weapons, as well as gaining loyalty, you must also build a strong relationship.  In other words, you must select the option "I want to know more about you" when you talk to them in their quarters up to the point where they don't want to give anymore to you.

Also, do certain loyalty missions last as well as doing as much DLC missions as possible (ie Lair of the Shadow Broker) to get as much Paragon/Renegade points as possible.

By building strong relationships, you keep the strong Paragon/Renegade option open when conflict moments happen between the crew.  I recently made the mistake of not building a strong relationship with Miranda.  As such, despite my Paragon meter being full at the end of Jack's Loyalty Mission, I had to choose between the two.  The strong Paragon choice was not open, sadly.  As such, I chose to keep a strong relationship with Jack.  This in turn helped keep them both alive through the final mission.

Finally, do not use ANY DLC characters for any of the options in the final mission.  They only gain loyalty to you and NOT a strong relationship.  As such, you risk having them die if you put them in charge of a team or certain suicide projects.

By that right, you practically guarantee them all surviving the final mission.  The only thing left is to choose the right character for the right job.

Tali and Legion have strong tech hacking skills.
Garrus, Jacob and Miranda have strong leadership skills.
Samara is the best biotic shield option.  Miranda is a good second option.
Grunt is the best crew escort option.  Mordin is a good second option.
Thane and Jack are best for combat, thus helping you get through the enemies as fast as possible to save the rest of the crew.

Note: If you have anyone who you don't have a strong loyalty or relationship with, keep them as safe as possible.  This at least ensures their best chance of survival in the last mission.  It sadly won't guarantee them coming out of the last mission alive.

This is the best advice I can give.  Hope it helps. :)

Who wants to take a tour of two of the most memorable places in the Mass Effect series?!

The Citadel

The Alliance Normandy

Wow!  With all I'm seeing, I wouldn't be surprised if the XBox 360 Version required 3 discs for the main game alone.  It's definitely a big game, no question asked.

Nope, it'll be two discs like Mass Effect 2.

On the multplayer front, I'm now working (and loving) the Vanguard class. Biotic Charge and Nova are a great combo. Adding a shotgun is like adding fries to your burger (Or dressing to your salad if your a vegetarian) XD.

I sent Zaeed Massani with the crew and he succeeded. Perhaps I was just lucky. :)

I prefer the Infiltrator class.

The tactical cloak is just awesome.

Hey everyone, get this.  Turns out that in Mass Effect 3, your reputation in the last 2 games effect whether or not certain Paragon/Renegade choices are unlocked.

http://www.ign.com/wikis/mass-effect-3/Reputation

If you ask me, the sales of the last two games are going to explode again very soon.

That makes interesting reading.

This and playing through 3 may make some who never played one or both of the earlier games may also make some want to play through the first 2.  And since they are older games they may be cheaper then new games, another reason some may want to play the older games.
