Tera nodded to her mother and sent Cree a sly smile. As she flapped over to her brother she whispered in his ear, "And I'll make sure your apology is nice and and truthful too." Knowing Cree had a habit of not meaning what he said.

Splasher at the sound of the word grounded, she shuddered as she remember something. "I..I'm supposed to be grounded. I should probably get home before my momma gets really angry with me." She then turned to Violet and asked, "Will you still cover Cree in mud? And tell him it was my idea, so Tylr won't be blamed."

Cree side glanced over to his sister, "You're really becoming an annoyance, you know that...".

"Well get on with it" his mother prodded. Cree sighed and turned towards the ledge exit.

"Sure" Violet said, "but...whatever in the world did a nice swimmer like you do to get grounded?".

Tera smiled gleefully and replied, "Yeah I know, it's something we sisters happen to be naturally good at." She then prodded Cree to keep him moving so she could see how hard this was going to be for him.

Splasher sighed.
"I pushed my brother in the boiling water after he called me a 'no nothing egg head'!" She then turned, waved good bye and ran back towards her nest hoping not to get caught.

Suddenly, two unwelcome voices were heard.

"we're hungry!" Screech's voice called.

Screech and Thud were disliked by Redclaw and the others not because they were bullies or anything like that, but just because they would follow them around everyone like an annoying little sibling.

"Oh geez," groaned Redclaw.

"Ah, my brethern" Drake spoke to Screech and Thud "And what do I owe this vist of yours? Hunger I take it?" he glanced around "Seems like you've come to the wrong place....I see no food around here"

Pterano felt his heart jump. She accepted his offer gratefully! "Alright then!" He alighted off the branch and waited for Ada.

Cree sighed and flapped off, he knew saying he had no idea where Ada had gone wouldn't work since Tera would just make him find her. He kept on and soon did spot...two familiar flyers.

"No way" he frowned, "Mom did not say I have to apologize in front of Pterano" he said.

"Come on, let's go back to the pond and I'll show you a bit of how we catch fish" Ada said. She was pleased Pterano was actually interested in this instead of teasing her like all the others.

"Ok, see you later Splasher" Violet called, "Come on, let's go get the mud" she turned to Tylr and Trip.

Tylr sighed, "Ok...if you're sure I won't get killed".

"Positive" Trip assured.

"I hear lots of interesting stories about the big water. They say that there are sharpteeth that live in the water. How is that possible?" For the life of him, Pterano could never imagine a big sharptooth (OOC: T-Rex) jumping out of the water and snagging a flier out of the air.

"Oh yeah, and there's more than one kind" Ada told him, "they, uh...aren't like the ground sharpteeth, they have tails instead of feet and swim and..." she sighed, "hopefully you'll never see on but I think that's the only way you'd really be able to 'see' what they look like"

Dein groaned and turned to face both Screech and Thud and simply out of reflex action snapped in their direction. "You two again?! Why won't you go hunting for your own kills for a change." He asked in a irritated tone.

Terri sighed sadly and stepped towards the two fastbiter brothers.
"You two can have my kill if you're really that hungry." She said as she stepped over to Dein with another frown on her muzzle.

Splasher checked the area around her nest and smiled seeing her mother wasn't there. She then stepped into the water and swam towards the rock in the center. She reached the rock without a problem and sat down and decided to take a nap not knowing when her mother would be back to check on her.

Tera followed after Cree and kept an eye on her brother and almost laughed in joy as she heard Cree's exclamation. "Sounds to me like someone is a scardy egg!" she taunted knowing Cree's ego wouldn't let him go insulated like that.

And, older or not, Cree took the bait. "Scardy egg!" he wheeled about, "oh I'll just show you!" he made progress over.

"Yeah, pretty much" Ada said, she then frowned though as she noticed Cree coming over.

The other flyer didn't get too close and avoided eye contact with either of them.

"I've been...told, I shouldn't have said what I did, so...you know...I'm retracting" he shrugged his shoulders. There. That was an apology.

"This looks like a good spot!" Trip said. Violet nodded, agreeing.

"Ok, so Tylr you hold this little pile..." Trip started piling mud into Tylr's cupped wings to hold, "and...".

"How am I gonna fly like this?" Tylr asked. Trip paused...he hadn't thought of that...

Violet sighed, "We just need a carrying...thing or something so none of us get our wings unable to fly". She started looking around for leaves and such to make such a thing out of.

Tera had landed behind Cree and poked him in his back and said aloud, "I want to hear you say I'm sorry....cause mom would want you to say it." This time however she wasn't being cruel, she knew that is exactly what their mother would want Cree to say as well.

Splasher was sitting quietly on her rock when a rather large wad of mud. She shook her head clear only to see her brother whom she'd pushed into the bubbling water there with a sly grin on his face. Splasher knew better than to act on her angry instincts so she continued to sit there and received three more mud wads in her face. However just as she was going to retaliate, their mother along with her other siblings stepped into view, and now it was her turn to smile slyly.

After hearing her brother being scolded Splasher was allowed to play with her friends and she quickly caught back up with Violet and the others. "Hi! I'm not grounded anymore!" she exclaimed quickly.

Cree grit his beak, "Ok...fine, I'm...so-rry" he all but choked out.

Ada huffed and crossed her wings, not really believing it.

Cree sighed, "Actually I am, I guess it's not that big a deal if you eat fish and so...yeah, like I said before, sorry for making it a big production".

"Well...ok" Ada said.

"Oh, hey Splasher" Trip smiled.

"Hi" Tylr waved from behind a pile of mud, the pile he was holding.

"I think that should do" Trip said. "What do you think, Splasher?" he let her see how much mud they had.

Tera smiled finally believing Cree had rightfully apologized.
"Okay Cree, you're done now. You can go back to the nest." she said with a rather rueful smile.

Splasher grinned at the large amount of mud her friends had collected.
"Oh yes, that is more than enough." She commented as she stepped over. "Now let's go find Cree." she said with a laugh
