Who is your favorite character that you've created?

It's a 2 way tie between Deimos the Utahraptor and Dr. James Zanasiu. They're my favorites because they are the first characters I created.

Hmm. I'd have to say the 3 Lipizzaner stallions Hans, Werner and Franz didn't quite turn out the way I wanted them to. I wanted them to be comic relief but I just couldn't do comedy right.

Well, Dragonstorm didn't exist at the beginning of DS 1, so maybe something will come up during DS 2 that requires an RP in the limelight! I hope so!

Where did your inspiration for "Twilight Valley" come from?

Someone on FF.net wrote Land Before Time: War of the Worlds, one of the first LBT war fics in existence. I was inspired by him, though I took cues from Out of the Shadows as well.

What was your reaction when you first learned about Twilight? Did it make you regret the title for your fanfic?

I didn't care as I didn't (and I still don't) know what Twilight) is about.
I did consider making a name change because A LOT of people were thinking it was an LBT X Twilight cross instead of an LBT war story. However, I was unable to think of a suitable name. (Got any suggestions?)

The avatar is a representation of the supermassive black hole at the center of an active galaxy. I got it off a British university's astronomy department.
I chose it because it was unmistakable and it reflects my childhood interest in astronomy. LBT has no bearing on my choosing of said avatar.

In all honesty, how are you liking my Darwin's Soldiers stories? If you could change one thing about them, what would it be?

I really, really, really like the Darwin's Soldiers stories.
The one thing I would change is the fact that you seem to forget that there are other anthros in the Darwin's Soldiers universe besides the main characters.

Where did you get the name "Zanasiu"? You google it and the only hits are all the Darwin's Soldiers pages.

Pelvanida was something that I literally pulled out of thin air
I was thinking of Halo's tagline, Combat Evolved when I created this RP. The name of the RP refers to how soldiers have adapted to warfare (in a sense "evolving"). I mean, you wouldn't expect a Roman legionnaire to survive long in a modern combat environment such as Iraq, right? And I decided to take it to the next level, super soldiers created in lab, not trained.

Did you ever expect Zachary to become such a main character? At first he was just "The Clydesdale", and after 20 pages of existence eventually got a name, and has since become your right-hand man. Did you think this was going to happen?

In all honesty, I did not expect Zachary to be such a main character. He was intended to be a nameless character to provide nothing more than extra background for James and fire support for the group.
I think as the RP went on, Zachary became more and more developed and it seemed like he should be promoted to a full character in his own right.

Hmm, I would have to say Horse (being with fur).
But technically it is the Utahraptor.

Erm, somewhat nervous and jittery due to a minor case of caffeine poisoning as well as... another issue. Ask CT if you really want to know about the other issue because I don't want to talk about it.

You asked me this. What's your favorite Darwin's Soldiers RP? What about your favorite one of my spin-off stories?

I like the second one more but only by a slim margin. The main reason is because the second one is longer. Of course, the second one's got the high octane thrill of a car chase in the Nevadan desert.
As for favorite spin off: Schroedinger's Prisoners. It has the Darwin's Soldiers feel AND the shades of the Matrix.

That will probably mark the end of the Darwin's Soldiers trilogy.

Do you find that my postings for Future Wars inspire you to write more for Twilight Valley, or do you find they detract from it and distract you?

Admittedly, the Future Wars postings do slow me down because "crosswiring" occurs. Meaning that Future Wars stuff gets inserted into Twilight Valley.

Still trying to figure how to make it at least 100,000 words. I am fairly well along on the first chapter.

Can you tell me everything you can about Raptix and Diemos? As in their character traits, species, and motives for action. It will help out immeasurably.

Raptix is a Veliciraptor (fast biter). He is Deimos's friend. He is much more polite than his friend Deimos. He is afraid of heights.
Deimos is Utahraptor (sickleclaw). He is Raptix's friend. He can be rather impatient, blunt and in some cases outright rude but he is generally a good hearted dinosaur. Another quirk of his is that he tends to swear a lot.

As for why they joined the Great Valley, Deimos did not like Excidium's plans so he decided to backstab him.
Raptix had fled Fang Valley, along with Blue-Scale after Blue-Scale killed several other sharpteeth to stave off his brother's execution.
They eventually met in the outskirts of the Great Valley and after saving Littlefoot's life, they gradually got accepted into the valley with the stipulation that they do not kill and eat any of the Great Valley's dinosaurs. Since that time, they have been allies and friends of the Great Valley dinosaurs.

If an idea comes into my head, I write. There is literally no other explanation.
Most of my stories in general are high octane thrillers, fan fiction is no exception.

But I will answer here as well:
1.) Fang Valley is a "colony" of Claw Valley. However, it is farther from the Great Valley than Claw Valley. Berry Valley does make an appearance and the Great Valley dinosaurs try to recruit the Yellowbellies...with horrific results.
Fang Valley will also get involved in the war as another another valley they have to invade (has to do with Excidium). Of course, the decision to invade is not without controversy with some (Like Mr. Threehorn) strongly in favor of it and others not wishing to adapt Claw Valley's militaristic lifestyle.
I may decide to have the GV dinosaurs recruit some roaming herds as mercenaries like they did with Styracus. I am not sure about this yet, but that roaming herd may actually be the group of dinosaur archers that Pterano mentioned seeing (not the same group on High Tree Island).
2.) Please continue the Future Wars fan fic as I really like it.

Now that you are fully caught up to Far Away Home, do you plan to review it regularly as the chapters are posted or simply on an as-you-can basis?
Both options are perfectly fine in my eyes :angel
One thing though... if you are going to provide an amount of useful spelling corrections please have it go hand in hand with a review as it then comes off as gramatical criticism even if you don't intend it to.

What plans do you have for the main group of heroes in Darwin's Soldiers? More and more of the action seems to be shifting to the side of Dragonstorm, and only a few of the heroes remain active characters. Maybe we need to trim down the heroic force into a small band of the people who actually do anything (like James, Aisha, Alfred) and get rid of all the stragglers.

Wow, you must have been practicing a lot. I started playing the tin whistly relatively recently and mostly hurt the ears of others rather than my fingers ;)
