Title: Road Rovers: Power of the Pack
Story: In this version, the Road Rover organization is far larger, having many members. The Master began his work in 1970, recruiting adult dogs. By 1993, with the organization already large, he decided to start recruiting and training puppies. The first pups selected were the Rovers we all know, Hunter, Colleen, Exile, Blitz and Shag, as well as two other female dogs (Played by me), Giselle, a beautiful Australian shepherdess, and Anya, a beautiful American eskimo. They are transformed, and, when they emerge, they have the minds and bodies of five-year old children. We have some parts there, and then we all grow up. At 18, Hunter and Colleen notice each other's mutual attractiveness and fall in love. After that, we go on, getting older, and the story really begins, when the characters are around 25.

Ever since starting the Rover's program in 1970, the Master had created many Cano-Sapiens. Now, it was 1993, and the Master had decided that, from now on, only puppies would be transformed and trained. The first batch of puppies had arrived. "Ah, welcome, future cadets," he said, picking up a young Retriever mix from the group. "We will start with you," he said. He checked the pup's gender. "I will call you...Hunter," he said.

Also there was a young Rottweiler puppy. He was tring to show how brave and tough he was.

The master took Hunter to his machine. "Relax, little one. This won't hurt," he said, placing Hunter inside. When ready, he threw the switch, and an amazing thing happened: Hunter was transformed into a cano-sapien, emerging the size of a five-year old human. "Hello," he said in his first human speech.

The Rottweiler pup whimpered at this.

The master approached that pup next. "Easy, little one. I think I will name you Blitz," he said as he picked him up.

the next little pup was a female, she barked at the others and at the Master. she was a bit scared at what was happening to the others.

Blitz whimpered all the way to the transdognifier. He was gently plopped down into the machine. He failed to escape the machine before the door closed. The doors opened revealing a anthro Rottweiler pup the size of a human five year old as well as a jpuddle of pee he made.

Hunter went to the little female. "It's ok..." he said in his child's voice to the little female collie.

the collie barked at the master and licked his face eagerly as she was picked up and carried to the transdognifier. she was set down while the pee from blitz was cleaned up, then she was put in. the door snapped shut and the machine did its work transforming her.

One by one, each of the dogs that had been brought in were transformed into cano-sapien pups. Once it was complete, The master smiled proudly. "Greetings to you, Hunter, Colleen, Blitz, Exile, Shag, Giselle, and Anya. You have been all brought here for a purpose: you will live here and train to be heroes to human kind," he said. Hunter looked on wide-eyed at the others with a smile. "Hi. I'm Hunter," he said, awaiting their responses.
The master waited to see their responses as well. If they were to one day work together, they would need to forge a tight, bonded pack. So far, everything had gone so well. Another point for this new technology, he thought.

Blitz saw cute Collie come out and was struck by puppy love.

Just then, a pretty female Afghan hound walked in. Upon seeing her, the master nodded. "Pups, this is Persia, one of the Rovers from before you came here. She will be your caretaker. Now, as of today, your training begins. Tomorrow, your will come to our school in the morning. There, you will take your first steps into a larger world. After that, there will be lunch and a rest break," he said.

i'm colleen ' coleen said with a giggle ' i'm exile' said the young Siberian husky with a thick accent. ' so what do you think of this human? we are now able to talk like he does and understand what he is saying." sheep had not gotten a suit like the others, but was now a much larger bipedal version of a dog.

Persia looked down at her new charges, kneeling to their level. "Greetings, young ones. I will be the one caring for you all until you get big. With your transformations, you will be growing the way that humans do," she said. The master smiled. "She is right. The first order of business is for all to go to your new rooms," he said.

"Are you our mommy?" Blitz asked Persia.

Persia smiled sweetly. "Not biologically, but yes, you can call me that if you want. Now, come on, let's go see your new rooms. This is going to be a big change for all of you. When you're all older, you will, like me, fight to protect humans and animals alike," she said.

Blitz nodded as he followed Persia.

Hunter smiled at Colleen. "So, where did you come from?" he asked her. He was hoping that she could be a friend of his, and so he tried to be his nicest so that she wouldn't be put off by him.

“Welcome. Laurel.” These were the first words she heard that she could understand.
Facing the source of the words, her sight rested on a stern-looking woman, short black hair and skirted suit. If Laurel knew of style and attitude at the time, she would have deduced that this one was every bit the no-nonsense business woman. Not even one strand of hair out of place.
The room she was in was completely utilitarian in design, function taking complete precedence over form, metal and white the only colours to be seen. A few lab-coated technicians operated the delicate equipment, some human, others…not.
“As of today, you’re now a Cano-Sapien, if still just a pup. As of tomorrow, your education and training will begin. Jason will take you to your assigned quarters.” The stern woman pointed to a human man you stood to attention the moment his name was mentioned, motioning for the young pup to follow him once she was finished speaking.

While Hunter was talking to Colleen, Giselle decided to go and speak with Blitz. "G'day mate," the Australian shepherd pup said in her Australian accent, waiting for the young Doberman to respond to her greeting.

"Hello, I am Blitz." he replied.

Giselle smiled. "The name's Giselle. I'm from Australia. How about you?" she asked.

"I'm from Germany." Blitz said.

Persia chuckled playfully. "Ah, good. You're all making friends already, she stated. Meanwhile, General Parvo, the terrorist mastermind that caused the Master to start the Rover program, was speaking to his henchwoman, the Groomer. "Professor Shepherd has his program, now it is time to reveal ours," he stated.

"Yes General." Groomer said, standing at Attention.

Suddenly, there was a demented female laugh, and, in a poof of purple smoke, a winged female whippet hellhound, fearsome but beautiful in appearance, appeared. "Well, General Parvo, I see that you're trying once again to conquer Professor Shepherd," she said. Parvo looked at her. "Who..." he began. The whippet hellhound frowned. "My name is Belladonna, servant to Red, the ruler of Hell," she said.

"Illogical, there is no such thing as Heaven or hell." Groomer said dismissively.

Belladonna smiled. "A common enough belief. However, what you believe has no bearing on the reality of my being present. I was once an angel, but now I am what you call a hellhound, and I know what is happening. You're both bound to fail," she said.

"General, permission to put this lying dog down?" she asked the general.

Belladonna responded by causing a computer behind her to explode. Laughing, she vanished. Parvo looked shaken. "We will have no association with her. We will prove her wrong," he said.

Groomer nodded in agreement. " yes General." she said.

Parvo went to examine the destroyed computer. Meanwhile, back in Rover HQ, the pups were busy getting settled in their rooms.

Russia. Exile Said in a thick accent. " Siberia to be exact. he said. ' gets very cold there, hence my thick fur '
shep, who had no suit was making happy barking sounds.

Before long, it was bedtime. Each pup was put into their own bed. Hunter slept soundly, until the instant Belladonna chose to appear to get a better look at him. He awoke to see the hellhound, giving a loud scream that was heard over the monitors. "My, what a fine looking pup you are," Belladonna said mockingly. "Leave me alone!" he shouted. Belladonna would have replied, but vanished when the door opened, revealing Persia and the Master. "I saw someone, she was scary," Hunter said. He then went on to describe what he had seen. "That's a description of a hellhound," he said. Hunter had to be coaxed back to sleep. The next morning brought a small amount of relief as he got up, was given a bath and got ready for his first day of school with the others.

both coleen and blitz had slept soundly, even hunters yelling had not woken them. they were given school attire to wear. cloon wore a shot green skirt while blitz was forced to wear a suit and tie. ' why must we be dressed like this?' He complained. Shep was not required to wear anything, much to his delight.

Hunter came out in his uniform. By his side was Persia. She looked at the other pups. "Be easy on Hunter today, pups. He had a little run-in with something or someone last night," she explained, trying to decide how to explain hellhounds to pups.

The quarters Laurel resided in were as utilitarian as the rest of this facility that she had seen so far, even her uniform followed the scheme, being a light-grey one-piece with her name etched into the top-right of it.
The classroom she was in matched, four rows of four tables with herself two to the left and second from the front, others like her in attendance as their human teacher spoke.
“Now, you will address me as Mr McDonnell, and I will be your tutor for the next few years. I expect nothing less than top behaviour from each and every one of you, the consequences for failure in that will be severe.” His voice was uncompromisingly stern. “We will begin with your basic education, reading, writing, arithmetic, and human studies. I want you to pay attention to the screen.” He powered up the projector, its image slowly forming on the white screen ahead of it.

A decade had passed. The year was now 2003. Hunter and his friends were now fifteen years old. Hunter had grown strong and handsome, with an interest in various topics, like paleontology, mythology and others. He hadn't seen Belladonna in all this time, but he devoted himself to learning everything he could on hellhounds. He had also developed a crush on Colleen.

colleen had developed interests in history, medicne and biology. apart from ,lliking hunter, she had also developed friendships with giselle and anya. coleren liked going shopping with them, as they would have ' girl time' together.
Exile had grown up with a history of the military and forestry, and had developd some of his powers including his 'blizzard' vision.

Hunter kept it to himself that he was still deathly afraid of the hellhound that he had met. His research on hellhounds was a way of getting a grip on it. However, right now, that was furthest from his mind. Right now, he was adding to his fossil collection. His latest piece was a tyrannosaur tooth he had been given as a gift by his science teacher.

shep had started work on knitting shorts for the others, he liked needlepoint, surprisingly. blitz would tease him about it ' is dog knitting a tie?' he said.

Giselle walked up. "I don't know, mate. Looks more shorts to me," she said.

looks like pants to me" Coleen said, takibng a closer look at what Shep was sewing. ' say Giselle. you want to head out shopping? I had my eye on a very nice dress, just the right shade of green. Interested?"

Giselle nodded. "I can see that you're going flat out like a lizard drinking," she said. Anya approached. "I'll join you too," she said.

Just then, the voice of the Master rang over the intercom. "Rovers, come see me in my office. I must speak to all of you," he said. Hunter immediately dropped what he was doing and headed for the office. Giselle did so too, looking at Colleen. "Sorry, Colleen, maybe later," she said, walking off with Anya following her.
