I think that line is sung three times

Ducky sings that twice - once in VI and once in the TV series episode 16 (both times are during the Lone Dinosaur song). In VI I guess she's sing to/with the Gang (of 5) and Dinah & Dana. In the TV series she's singing with the rest of the Gang of Five (well, minus Littlefoot) to Chomper (and Ruby) after Chomper asks, "So, Doc's big enough that I'd see him coming, right?"
Littlefoot sings it once - in VI (Lone Dinosaur song) while trying to convince the rest of the Gang of Five and Dinah and Dana that Doc is the Lone Dinosaur

Thanks! I was listening to a LBT playlist...and that song was just starting as I saw this topic

I knew what it was from before Littlefoot even got to the chorus...hehe. I guess that's thanks to all the times I watched VI... (too many)

Littlefoot uses past tense... “his heart was brave and pure”
