If anyone is interested in trying out a new webradio station. I work and DJ here from time to time. I'm in marketing and music. Currently it's mainly auto-DJ at the owner's house, but in time I'm working on getting a block set up of primarily alternative. It covers a lot of music, so be sure to give it a listen!

The message in Babs seed was well thought out. And the music was great. The song was perfect and help fit the mood of being bullied. And it sucks to be bullied but you just gotta ignore it and walk away from the bully. Not interact with it.
False. Ignoring can sometimes perpetuate bullying. Addressing an authority: parents, teachers, bosses, etc. is a very good step to take.

The only redemption I could give her is if her story were more complex that "a jerk."

Babs had a reason for her actions, and while her making the CMCs legit cry (especially Sweetie Belle) was frustrating to watch, I still was able to forgive her for her depth and willingness to change.

Gilda, to date, has had no complexity, and wasn't interesting to me, plus, she was a terrible individual.

YOU CANNOT REMORSELESSLY MAKE FLUTTERSHY CRY AND RECEIVE REDEMPTION.

Gilda? That could be interesting.  I wonder if she'll act like she did before, or if she may be different or become different over the course of the episode.
I will never forgive. NEVER. FORGIVE.

They call her a parasaurolophus, but Ducky shares more resemblance to a saurolophus.

I own over 100 signed CDs by bands and aritsts I like.

I own the president's autograph.

I have a tub full of various memorabilia from comedians, artists, and other semi-famous to famous people's signatures and just general memorabilia.

I've performed poetry readings at least a dozen times.

I have given out at least 3 autographs.

I have read part of my fanfic, which is longer than the third Harry Potter book, at a convention.

Uh... I dunno... I could brag a lot, if you wanted to be bored to death about things I find special.

I like any convention. I'm not so concerned with spending a long time with the VAs (though I'd really like to meet Madeleine, <3 Scoots.) I think they, as regular folks, should get to enjoy their time, too. Heck, Sam Vincent at the one I went to, went around and signed all the works based on his character for the artists to sell. He got to have a good time, and he helped others out, too. I spent most of my time throwing my money at artists at the cons, and that can happen with any size con. I'd love to go to more, but I live where it's not so frequent.

Gamers Zone / Best Scary games
« on: August 05, 2013, 11:03:05 AM »
Based on the wording, I have to take a different approach.

I've never been one for jumpscares, for me metaphor, psychology, and loneliness are the best way to get my skin to crawl and have it feel legitimate:

Silent Hill
Siren: Blood Curse

Further, since it says "best scary" games, I will include high quality horror themed games:

Cat Lady -- STELLAR story writing, and extremely artistic.
(Silent Hill, again, likewise, same with Siren)
Last of Us -- This was kind of the game that got me searching for horror games, especially ones based on story.

I'll also include ones that I consider good in other respects:

Imscared -- a pixel horror game, it's very clever in multiple ways. It's not a deep story, it's got some jumpscares, but its... complexity is what wins it credit.

I've heard a lot about a game called White Day, but I've only ever seen it played on easy, which nixes most of the scary things about the game, apparently. As such, I can't give it a fair analysis, but it was worth checking out. It, similar to Siren has a REALLY beautiful otherworldly element at one point that is absolutely fantastic.

Afraid of Monsters and Cry of Fear -- The way they portray the enemies, spasming and really quick, is a really unique (especially for the age of Afraid of Monsters) way of portraying horror enemies.

I've yet to find a good playthrough of the Call of Cthulhu game, but I've heard it's pretty dang good, as well.

Many of those characters are significant to my fic. Speaking of, I recently bought about 8 commissions/sent out art requests, and have some art for my fic, now, too!

Alas, the collected works of The JV Allstars. 'Tis only sad, because there is never to be another album. This saddens me.

Silver Screen / Are you toony?
« on: August 04, 2013, 01:38:48 AM »
No, but I am tiny, and a little loony.

Oh wait...

The main cartoons I actively watched over time were:

Reboot
Rugrats
PokÈmon
DBZ
Sailor Moon
Ed, Edd, N' Eddy
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Blue's Clues to some extent
Gargoyles
Dexter's Lab
Powerpuff Girls
The Land Before Time (TV Series, movies)
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Futurama
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Adventure Time

What's odd is, even though there are a lot of themes in series through time, only Futurama and Courage didn't have a strong emphasis on friendship as a major, MAJOR theme.

The Fridge / What Animals does everyone like?
« on: August 03, 2013, 04:11:36 PM »
The fox is my favorite animal after having some level of attachment to Tails as a junior high schooler, it stuck. I find the creatures adorable, and very catlike for a dog, and I love both cats and dogs (even though foxes are no more closely related to cats than wolves.) I have a large collection of fox related trinkets, toys, and pictures around my room. I've even been able to see fox kits in South Dakota, and a few foxes around town from time to time. C:

I love, from dinosaurs, Microraptor gui, saurolophus, Archaeopteryx lithographica, Icterus galbula, Falco peregrinus, and many more.

Mammals, I also like weasels and ferrets and otters, I like rabbits and squirrels, pangolins, okapis, pretty much any strange looking animal.

I love a lot of fish, I find them very pretty.

My favorite super weird animal (extinct) is Opabinia.

I like lots of reptiles, including snakes, I love many arthropods, scorpions, I like many shellfish and... I really just kind of like animals! X3

I went this year to the first ever Midwest Bronyfest KC. It was fantastic. There were several great artists, well organized events, and a good attendance. The guest VA was Sam Vincent. He was great to talk with, and really was happy with the convention, as well. If you're around the KC area next year, be sure to check it out! C: I may even be helping work it next year.

Not really surprised that I come across as Pinkie Pie, especially judging by how I am at work.
