Title: Worst Movie Ever!
Post by: pokeplayer984 on March 06, 2009, 03:25:39 PM
The title.  Post the worst movie (Or at least one you consider to be really bad) you have ever seen.

My choice would have to be what I consider the worst of the worst, Super Mario Brothers.

Seriously, a movie based off a video game.  Those never work out well, do they? -_-

Well, post away. :)

And let's hope Cyberlizard doesn't see that post :p

As for me, I've never really thought about it as there are so many horrible movies that I've seen. But I have to agree with pokeplayer, Super Mario Brothers was just terrible.

Batman and Robin. Being forced to watch it should be considered a form of torture.

I just lost all respect for landbeforetimelover. First of all, Spaceballs is a great film and an excellent comedy. Secondly, out of all the crap that exists on screen, Spaceballs is the worse you could come up with?!

Of course, I should remember that I'm talking about that one guy who didn't like The Lord of the Rings, either.

Besides which, Red Zone Cuba is the worse movie ever made. An extremely low-budget piece of crap that follows three unsympathetic ex-cons through their various crimes. This film was pointless and about nothing long before Seinfeld was.

I'm not asking anyone to like it, but nothing by Mel Brooks is the worse movie ever. To say that they are is just unimaginative. Its obvious that landbeforetimelover has had a sheltered existance and has never had to sit through a truly horrible cinematic experience. Especially when one compared Spaceballs to "Disaster Movie" and "Meet the Spartans".
I'd almost say that anyone who wishes to post on a "worse movie ever" list should at least sit through Plan 9 and Night of the Leapis, but to make people sit through those is just cruel and unusual.

"Pink Panther 2" would be a start, though I wouldn't wish having to watch the ruining of Peter Sellers legacy on anyone.

I think that's a little harsh judgment to make based off a movie preference. I'm going to assume you're a little down right now and didn't mean it that way.

But dude, Plan 9 was freaking hilarious. It's not the worst movie ever by a long shot, it's entertaining, and kepps your attention the whole way through, especialy with all the unintentional hilarity. Scores of movies have been bigger letdown s than Plan 9.

My vote for worst movie was The Cat in the Hat with Michael Myers. Terrible choice for the title role, who was played totally lacking the charm of the Seuss character; the story and script were terrible, and the whole moral of the story was completely dropped. It was terrible.

Post by: WeirdRaptor on March 06, 2009, 11:10:23 PM
Maybe I did exaggerate a little bit, but seriously, Spaceballs as the worse? He might not like Spaceballs, but it is far from being the worse movie ever made, regardless of opinion. Just compare it to any farsical comedy made in the last decade, and it comes out a much better film. The Scary Movies? Disaster Movie? Date Movie? Meet the Spartans? Super Hero Movie? Epic Movie?

Plan 9 might score points for unintentional hilarity, but its obvious that it wasn't what the filmmakers intended, so its still terrible by all counts. Plus, there are others that are far worse:
Superman: The Quest for Peace
Hobgoblins
Cool World
Pumaman
Carnasaur
The Crawling Eye
Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy
Grinch Night
The recent remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still
Quest for Camelot
Southland Tales
High School Musical 1-312
Space Mutiny
A Sound of Thunder
The Neverending Story 3
Battlefield Earth
Wild Wild West
The Wild World of Batwoman
Electra
Alone in the Dark
Zoom
Manos: The Hand of Fate
Eegah
Zardoz
Gigli
Anaconda
Lost in Space (the movie with Joey from "Friends" in it)
Of all of these, Spaceballs is the worse?

I know what are the worst movies.

Second Sequel Movies from Disney like Pocahuntas 2, and Cinderella 2 (THAT SUCK)!!! Not all sequels of each movie are bad but most of them are.
Title: Worst Movie Ever!

While those ruin most of the great Disney films, some of the originals weren't that great to begin with..

Sound of Thunder was so depressing. The Ray Bradbury short story was one of my favorites, and to see it like that was just painful.

I want to see Battlefield: Earth just because of how bad it supposedly is. A Scientology Star Wars starring John Travolta? Bet it was better in that timeline where the butterfly died.
Title: Worst Movie Ever!
Post by: landbeforetimelover on March 06, 2009, 11:55:43 PM
I just thought of a worse movie than Spaceballs (but I still hold my opinion that it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen).  "The Diary of Anne Frank" has got to be the most boring movie I've ever seen.  The book was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.  In the movie all you did was watch them watch a clock.  Seriously.  It was horrible!

And the reason I think Spaceballs is one of the the worst movies ever is because I only see movies when they're recommended to me by my friends.  I gotta say that's the only bad movie they've ever had me see.  I don't watch movies unless someone else I know has seen and liked them.  I make sure to stick away from the crap that way. :p

Happily N'ever After = Epic Fail.  It had bad animation, lame jokes, pathetic characters, and was just a crappy movie.

Alone in the Dark is one of those movies I might want to see just because I'm such a big fan of the game. I'm talking about Alone in the Dark:The New Nightmare. I haven't played any of the older games, or the newest one, which apparently got very bad ratings. But seriously, what is so bad about this movie? Did they completely stray from any aspects of the games? Terrible acting or something? Of course I wouldn't know what the other games were like, but I still rank The New Nightmare for the PC as one of the most scary games I have ever played.

The worst movie I've ever seen would have to be "Scarecrow".  Tony Todd makes for an awesome horror actor.  I loved his roles as the Candyman in "Candyman" and the mortician in the "Final Destination" series.  He was the only reason I watched "Scarecrow".  But the graphics sucked and the storyline was unoriginal.  Flat-out lame movie <_<!

One of the worst movies of recent I've seen is probably Sleepers. It is so cheaply done it's actually laughable. It's supposed to be a horror movie about vampire hunters but it's more like a naff comedy coz they try to be so serious. The special effects (if you wanna call them that :p ) are so shoddy it just makes you pee yourself laughing. It is that bad. I've seen student films on a lower budget produced better than this trollop. One to miss for sure :DD

Oh, boy. I'm gonna have fun with this XD!
Well here we go *takes deep breath*:

Manos: The Hands of Fate(Absolutely, dreadful. Watched it on Youtube and had a headache shortly after finishing it. If you haven't seen it, count your blessings. Then again, it is a lot of fun. To make fun of that is. Made by a fertilizer salesman which really shows. A piece of crap movie made by a guy who sells crap XD).

Meet The Spartans(Gay jokes, references to movies that have nothing in common, breakdancing battles and American Idol jokes galore. What more could you want? It's SO FUNNY *sarcasm*)

Any movie shot like Blair Witch(Well let's just say this: horror has a new way of making its audience sick: The Shaky Camera!)

Blair Witch Project(Intresting concept, terrible execution. Boring too)

Return to Sleepaway Camp(LOVE the first three Sleepaway Camp movies, hate this one.  There's not even a main character! The kid the movie follows around is too pathetic to really be considered a main character. Insanely poor job of masking the killer too. If you've seen the first one, you'll know right away who it is.)

I could go on, but that would be another couple paragraphs at the most.

Beware. This is bad. Really bad.

Deliverance.

It's an hellish nightmare, but worth watching. Somehow.

Oh yes!

Almost any Stephen Seagal movie!  :lol

I'm not surprised High School Musical is mentioned here. There's so much animosity for the series that it sometimes surprises me. Not that I'm a fan of it or anything, I only saw a bit of the first one and the songs were catchy.

And am I the only one who actually liked the Super Mario Bros. movie? I know it doesn't have anything to do with the games, but it has its...Charm XD

It's better than the reviewers said it is. But if you're gonna play it, try to get the PS3 version, Alone in the Dark: Inferno. It got a couple of upgrades and it makes the game much better.

Quote
But seriously, what is so bad about this movie? Did they completely stray from any aspects of the games? Terrible acting or something?

It tried to follow Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, but it failed. It had terrible acting, a plot device for Edward that didn't make any sense. the massive overuse of mindless gunfights and little explanation for ANYTHING that was going on in the movie.

And the ending...Oh my God, what the heck was that about? It didn't make any sense whatsoever.

As for my contribution to the topic, ANYTHING Uwe Boll makes. That guy just needs to retire.

4. Rocky and Bullwinkle(Live Action)

Rescuers down under was released in theathers in 1990, and had Eva Gabor not died in 1995, they probably would have made a third Rescuers movie. Lion King 2 really detracted from the original. where the original was Hamlet in the savannah, the sequel was Romeo and jUliet. uh, guys in the play the two lovers DIE, there is no happy ending..although Hamlet doesn't end happily either. I have never seen either the seconf Fox in the hound or Lady and the Tramp, and frankly don't want to..

That movie sounds like a parody.

I bet no one has ever seen a more offensive or terrible movie than I have:

I feel that this thread needs an xkcd to help show, objectively, the WORST MOVIE EVER!!!!

Plan 9 From Outer Space was horrible, but it was meant to be horrible, so it comes out funny.

Manos: The Hands of Fate was also horrible, but it wasn't meant to be horrible. And you know what that means? MST3K the be-jeebies out of that bad boy.

However, the Star Wars Holiday Special should have been used by the Bush Administration instead of water-boarding. I watched it solely for the nerd cred, but it wasn't worth it. I can see why George Lucas wants to erase that blasphemy against entertainment from the universe.

But there are some movies that I really disliked... these movies were only a waste of time. <_<

Wargames: The Dead Code (stupid storyline)
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan :slap (worst storyline ever and there weren't any splatter scenes!! Maybe these scenes were cut off the movie, because horror and splatter movies in Germany are often censored, if they are shown in TV)

Hm... I guess that's all! Anyway, there are some trash movies I really enjoyed, like "Alien Arsenal", "Microscopic Boy (very unknown movie which was never released on any video or DVD), and "Decampitated"!

Why should they when it's so bad they can't get anything out of it even if they DIDN'T try.  Seriously, you just CAN'T make any money off this movie.  It doesn't matter if they removed it from YouTube or not.  It just wouldn't help them.

Truthfully, I think it's best George Lucas thinks it NEVER happened.  It really is that bad.

Master of Disguise starred the otherwise very funny Dana Carvey. Hes most well known for the Church Lady and Wayne world from Saturday Night Live, but every career includes a some clunker, and this was Carvey's.

*the following may contain spoilers*

Knowing - Okay, this was good to start off with, it was going so well, then in the end, it ran out of ideas and decided to say "Screw it, lets end this movies with aliens" yes, aliens were more or less responsible in the end, which killed the movie for me.  If it weren't for the whole alien ordeal in the end, it would've been good.....

I'm probably going to get a ton of hate for this but...

Dreamworks' Movies- Alright, for those who have read my posts on the How to Train Your Dragon topic, you may get the feeling that I have a strong hatred for their movies. Now before everyone starts pointing fingers and calling me a "Pixar fanboy"(And for the record, I don't think that every Pixar movie is the bee's knees of animation), let me explain why it is I don't like them. One reason is because it doesn't even seem like they try with their movies. As both an artist and writer, it disgusts me to see such horrible movies make so much money... they put zero effort into telling a story or developing their characters and rely too heavily on jokes. There are  animated movies that are far superior that haven't even come close to what Dreamworks films make (Princess and the Frog, Ponyo, Spirited Away, Fantastic Mr. Fox which I haven't seen but looks pretty good) so why do these movies make so much?

Another thing that bothers me about them is how they treat their audience like they don't have a brain in their heads. One such example, in the HtTYD trailers, they actually had to TELL us the moral of the story (Hiccup:"Everything we knew about you guys...is wrong."). Yeah I seriously doubt I could have figured THAT one out on my own[/Obvious sarcasm is obvious]. In addition, the jokes are just   :slap  worthy. Poopoo jokes and pop culture references are only funny for so long before they start to lose their humor. I should know as I'm someone who finds that kind of humor funny. Yet even I tire of hearing the same joke over and over. I'm still expecting there to be a scene in HtTYD where the viking and the dragon start dancing to Crank Dat Soldja Boi(wait, that'll probably be on the DVD). We already have the toilet humor(The dragon puking on the viking and the viking eating whatever the dragon puked up) so now we just need the dance number.

Now despite my undying hatred for Dreamworks, I do have one positive thing to say about them. The backgrounds in their movies usually look really great. Unfortunately, this is also a downside. While the backgrounds are indeed nice, the characters usually look horrible which brings down the quality in the backgrounds. The characters stand out TOO MUCH! A character should be able to blend in with its surroundings, making it look like their world might just be out there somewhere. This is not the case for these movies. The backgrounds look too realistic and the characters too cartoony. I'm not saying a cartoony style is bad but if the backgrounds are going to look real yet the characters not then yes, it is a bad thing.

Finally what I can't stand about them, although not as big a deal as the others, is that STUPID smirk all the characters have on their posters! You know http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3472/339896..._05527c04b1.jpg (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3472/3398960470_05527c04b1.jpg)  . Really makes them look cocky and unlikeable.

Now I did like Shrek 1 and 2. I thought they were Dreamworks only good movies. I saw the trailer for Kung Fu Panda back in '08 and it didn't look at all promising. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe someday I'll decide to give it a try.

And finally, the movie I consider the worst ever. So bad that it toppled Meet the Spartans from the number 1 spot on my worst movies ever list is...

BA DA BUM BUM BUM BUUMMMMMM!!!!

Dragonball Evolution- As much as I don't like Dreamworks, nothing can topple this cinematic excretement in terribleness. I never wish this on anyone or anything but this is one movie that I wish didn't exist. I don't even think I can describe how bad it is. I mean, there are movies out there that are bad and that you can explain just why they're bad and there are movies like this. Movies so bad that you just have to see it to believe it. I just hate this movie so much. If Uwe Boll, The Asylum, Uli Lommel and Ed Wood's zombie made a movie together, it would still be better than DBE.

Hmm...  I have seen a bunch of bad movies, as much as I have seen good ones.  But the absolute worst?  That's kind of tough to think about...  I can definitely say most Roland Emmerich(2012, Godzilla, 10,000BC, etc.) movies wind up on my list, along with Michael Bay(Transformers, Pearl Harbor, Friday the 13th remake).  As well as Uwe ToiletBoll(though Postal was freaking funny).

Dracula 3000 was a freaking terrible movie, indescribably terrible, and I don't think I'd want anybody else watching it.  I might as well just spoil everything about this movie, even though there isn't really much to spoil.  The movie doesn't even have a proper ending, it just...  STOPS.  A spaceship blows up and that's it!  And all they had was a guy in a generic Vampire costume.  There's also a guy in a wheelchair...  In the year 3000!  I'd probably wind up giving an entire Nostalgia Critic-esque rant on it, but then I'd be typing all day.  XD

Dragonball Devolution was an "experience" I wish I could forget. As  someone who grew up watching the Dragonball series, this movie was so horrifying that I just want to cry whenever I think of it. I actually feel depressed right now as I write about it. Whenever I'm reminded of this movie, I think of the South Park episode where Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas r*** Indiana Jones. I think that's what Justin Chatloser and James Wrong did to Goku.

Seriously, why turn Goku into an emo? In the anime, he was a fun, peaceful, energetic and very likeable character. I looked up to Goku when I was a kid so to see him turned into an unlikeable, whiny, emo teenage brat whose only motivation is to get into some girl's pants(despite that in the original Dragonball it was the other way around), it just makes me want to find Chatloser and punch him square in the face. I could go on and on about why I despise this stain on the Dragonball legacy, this slap in the face to Akira Toriyama, this r*** of my childhood but if I did, I'd be here all night. So I'm gonna go calm down, play some Pilotwings 64, and finish up a picture I had been working on.

I have just seen the movie "D-War (Dragon Wars)"....... OH - MY - GOD!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372873/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372873/)

I can't express all things I would like to say in English, so I'll keep it short:

- The plot is the worst I've ever seen!
- The characters are typical stereotypes (the Hero, the villain, etc. etc.)
- This movie is FULL of cliches!
- The actors are the worst I've ever seen! NO expressive power!
- It could have been a splatter movie due to the battles shown in the movie. But there is no blood at all, making this movie completely unrealistic and just... boring!

This movie has the best special effects I've ever seen, but that does not make a movie!! If the plot is bad, you can completely forget a movie, no matter how well-made the special effects are!

1 out of 10. Worst movie I've ever seen. It could have been a splatter and/or a trash movie, but this movie is way too serious to be a trash movie. Movies like "Alien Arsenal" or "Mysterious Planet (by Brett Piper)" are WAY better than this piece of crap.
DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! You won't enjoy it.

I gotta say The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars was quite bad. Sure, it was originally the sequel to the novella, but it was just WEIRD. And I have a HUGE problem with the lack of interaction between the Lamp and Radio. They're my favorite characters, and if I wanted, I'd slash them. But I honestly don't care about doing that right now XD . And I probably just horribly slaughtered someone's childhood... Speaking of Lampy, his voice was REALLY weird in this one. Sure Tim Stack played him again, but it just wasn't the same as in the first. To be honest, I think I have a similar "accent" to Lampy's (and squeaky voice). Now that I think about it, most of the voice acting was quite bad.

AND WHAT KIND OF ONE-DAY-OLD BABY HOLDS ITS OWN BOTTLE?! And wouldn't you think they would have noticed that Cris was getting "bigger" before she left for the hospital? They're a smart bunch. They would have connected what was going on. And I can really see Lampy almost about to blurt the "details", since he probably did a lot of reading a long with the Master and Mistress as the baby was coming a long.

And that hearing aid used to belong to Albert Einstein? WTF? "Power to the appliances" makes no sense. And why would someone want to make something that is MEANT to break? Come on, you'll go out of business that way!

Now, it did have its funny moments.
"Why should you have my vote?"
"BECAUSE I'M BIGGER THAN YOU!"
Nice political statement   :lol

The first one was dead-awesome. The second was okay (Raaadioooo D: !), and the third was...scary. It was a bad ending to the trilogy...like Wisdom of Friends was a bad ending to the LBT series.

One of the most awful movies I've seen recently http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0972359/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0972359/)

I hate...everything about this flick. There was no story, the characters were insanely stupid and unlikeable. Ironically the psycho mom was the only somewhat tolerable character in this crapfest. I hated the main character in this movie. He was such an obnoxious little douche. The first few scenes we get of this kid we see him picking on his younger siblings, kicking his younger brother's toy truck or something, I don't know. It was also due to his stupidity that his younger sister ends up being murdered by Psycho Mom. Speaking of stupidity, at the end of the movie, the oldest brat...er...sibling survives and his mother is put in a psychiatric ward. And low and behold, the father actually wants to have his wife come home with them...really? I mean...really? She murdered three of your kids, almost murdered your oldest, and you want her to come home with you? *Hyperventilates and screams*

I don't get it. Why are bad horror movies like this being praised nowadays? This isn't scary. This isn't intelligent or well written. It's stupid. It's Human Centipede stupid. They're essentially the same kind of movie: made simply to shock the audience. Take away the shock and what do you have left? Nothing. Can't we go back to the days when we had likeable characters in horror movies? Can't we get another Psycho or Shining? Can't we have a horror movie that relies on its setting to scare you and not an insane amount of gore?

This is truly a difficult subject for me, as I have intentionally seen many horrible films.  In fact, a common hobby for me and friends is to find a film widely regarded as bad and watch it in order to have fun mocking the movie.  Some times the movie is so bad that it is good - like Zardoz for example, which actually does have an interesting premise.  But some films I have actually avoided screening with my friends because they are absolutely unwatchable and I didn't want to subject my friends to them.

Some of the films that I would consider almost unwatchable are:

Dr. Caligari (a 1989 cult film - very inappropriate for minors)
Glen Or Glenda (An Ed Wood movie widely regarded as one of the worst films ever made)
In Search of the Wow Wow Wibble Woggle Wazzie Woodle Woo! (the only though that I had while watching this film is: "Why does this exist?")
Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000
Manos: The Hands of Fate
Meet The Spartans

Of those, I would have to say that I enjoy Glen Or Glenda the least.  It lacked some of the charm that Plan Nine from Outer Space had and, as a consequence, is almost painful to watch.

Not to mention the title 'Olympus has Fallen' is very misleading, since the film doesn't take place in Greece and therefore has nothing to do with Olympus.

I have heard some some bad reviews for these films as well, but neither myself or my friends have seen them as of yet.  For those of you who disliked these movies, do you feel that they are in the "so bad their good" category (might be fun to sit through and make jokes about) or "so bad their horrible" category?  I will probably see them anyway, as I don't express an opinion on a film until I actually see it, but I would like to have an idea of what I am getting myself into.

I hate pretentious environmental films, especially when they pander to kids.  But this horrible piece of excrement is one of the worst.  Stereotypical, cliched, extremely heavy-handed with horrible animation, annoying characters, terribly unfunny jokes, and a stupid plot that makes no sense.  The creators of this movie were on drugs or something.  This is what "The Legend of Titanic" would be if you removed the Titanic from it.  And a polar bear in Africa?  Really?  Oh, and the movie also has a "all humans need to die" message thrown in near the end, courtesy of an irritating tortoise.  Because that's totally appropriate for a movie aimed at kids.

The worst film I've ever seen by far is a British comedy film called 'Love Bite' which I saw in the cinema last year. Meant to be a horror-comedy about werewolves but is actually a combination of the most stupid and immature sex jokes imaginable, like it was written by a 13 year-old, with about 5 minutes of terribly CGI'd werewolves at the end to justify the horror tag. I was literally the only person in the entire cinema watching it and I can understand why.

It actually caused a bit of controversy here in the UK because it was partially funded with government money, and the film was so poor it actually caused political debate about wasting taxpayers' money.

Although its a TV series, Supernatural. It all feels like blantant propaganda, and when they began to bring in Pagan deities and demonize them for no good reason, I found this series very offensive, like no other.

North. We all know how bad it is.

Snow White and The Huntsman, need I say more.

Signs, I genuinely enjoy most of M. Night Shaymalan's films, but here it seemed like he fell to Ed Wood's level.

Speaking of which, The Last Airbender.

The Craft, now as one who is serious about Paganism, this one really offended me. Not to mention that it doesn't even hold up on its own.

The Witches(1990)

Hocus Pocus(1993), again need I say more?

The Blair Witch Project

Another TV series, The Dark Secret of Harvest Home(1978), while this series is nowhere near as offensive as 'Supernatural', it makes North seem watchable and that can't be good.

The Clash Of The Titans remake(2009), it just wasn't really needed. The original 1981 version was already perfect.

King Arthur(2005), who in their right mind thought that making Arthur Pendragon and his knights Roman was a good idea. Hell, Arthur is not even king in this version, he's an officer instead, WTF?!

Catwoman(2004), worst. comic. book. spinoff. ever.

Highlander: The Source:

Coming from a guy that is a massive fan of Highlander, all I can say is that this is the series' lowest point. Surely, "There can be only one" can be applied to the films it originated from - as in only the original Highlander should exist.

Billy Madison was kind of a dumb movie. Master of Disguise (although I loved it when it came out) is kinda dumb too in parts. The one movie I hated when it came out was probably Seabiscuit. That movie was SOOOOOOOO BOOOORRIIINGGG!!!!!!!! :anger I hate horse movies and racing usually is super boring (in that case it was at least). I was so bored I was walking and running up and down the stairs and my dad had to grab me and discipline me because he was angry that I was annoying everyone. He really shouldn't have blamed me though. I was MISERABLE watching that movie..  :cry

There is only one movie where I thought: Now what is this supposed to be? That movie was Eragon.

Yeah yeah, awesome special effects and stuff. Cool. How close is the movie to the book? Not at all.
No wonder there isn't a sequel. Yeah, let us remove an entire species that has an important role in the following books, to give just one example.

Actually, if there wouldn't be a book that the movie is supposed to be based on (literally supposed xD) it would be a decent one. I'm pretty sure Paolini wasn't involved at all, except of giving his okay.

I really hope that someday there will be a movie that is close to the book and well made, and with an ending that actually allows to make the rest of the series into movies as well. And I'm glad there isn't a sequel to the existing one. xD

The Eragon movie sucked, no doubt about it.  However, simply not following source material doesn't necessarily make a movie bad.  Take "How to Train Your Dragon" for example.  The movie, and from the looks of trailer, the second one as well, have little to do with the original book series other than a few of the major characters have the same names as in the books.  Aside from that, it's a completely different story.

Yep, a completely different story, that's why it's working. Eragon tries to stick to the book but isn't very successful at it.^^

I don't usually hate movies and can only think of two that I really despise, the Epic movie which was too stupid for me and  Disney s Ariel Beginning I just didn't care for it maybe because I watched the old tv series when I was younger but  like most of their sequels so it's the first Disney movie I don't like.

While I can't really say it's a bad movie, it does leave a bad taste in my mouth. That being Ralph Bakshi's Fire and Ice. My feelings toward it...

I mean everyone is running around in their underwear! And I don't know why they made that decision. Was it easier to animate? Was something wrong in Bakshi's head? All I know is, I could practically smell all the...man smells (and one lady smell) and just...ew. It's...unsettling to say the least.

It also bored me a little, but mostly that I had to riff "As the king and the most dressed person here, I command that you go find your sister".

The "worst movie ever" is a movie so bad that it doesn't actually exist.  No really, this is an idea for a movie I thought up earlier.  Basically, Tommy Wiseau, M. Night Shyamalan and Michael Bay all team up and make a movie called "Wood", an extreme action thriller based on the life of Ed Wood.  Oh, and the three of them would all have staring roles in the movie.  Make of that what you will. :lol

Seriously though, for actual bad movies, just pick any Uwe Boll movie.  They're not even entertainingly bad.  They're just "bad" bad.

Only bad movie that I can think of right now would be Spy Kids 4. Did not enjoy that one at all, the first two movies were the best in my opinion, third was okay, but the fourth one should not have happened. And I'm not complaining because the actors changed or something like that, I just didn't find it enjoyable.  :p

The Lorax (2012).  Oh boy, my hatred for this one knows no bounds.  I actually felt ripped off with this one.  I felt I was scammed.  Heck, if I sold it, I feel like I might be ripping someone else off.  I don't even want to donate it because I feel it to be absolute trash.  In the end, that's where it belongs.  The trash.

And I don't know why I don't throw it away.  Perhaps, after getting this off my chest, I finally will.

Hey, this post was made around the same time as my last one in 2019. The coincidence couldn't have been timed better! :lol

I've had few days to mull over what bad movies I've seen in 20 years of my life, and let me say that it was harder than I thought. Part of the reason likely was that good/amazing movies stick with you long after, whereas bad ones don't. But I feel like Shopping Tour (2012) deserves the spotlight this time. The only fun I had watching this movie was to laugh at how ridiculous the plot was: a Russian tour group is suddenly attacked by wild cannibals while in Finland, the aforementioned cannibalism being part of the Finnish culture to eat foreigners for one day every year. As a Finn, this movie was not only poorly executed, but a preposterous attempt to create an horror movie out of cannibals. :p

Hmm, I'm sure I've seen plenty of bad movies, but it's hard to think up one that stands out to me as being the WORST. If I think about specifically animated movies, though, the Dinotopia cartoon Quest for the Ruby Sunstone comes to mind. *Sigh*...I'm ashamed to say this movie was a big part of my childhood, right alongside LBT. Then, years later, I dug it out of the cabinet, hoping for nostalgia. Instead, I was shocked I'd ever thought the obnoxious movie was good! There were WAY too many mean-spirited, annoying characters who were there for no reason but supposed comic relief. The villain sidekicks were irritating, and the good-guy sidekick was even MORE irritating, to the point of being unbearable! (His name was Spaz. I don't really need to say more!) :x A heaping of Spaz-induced torture forced me to turn off the insufferable movie halfway through. UGH! :anger The only part of that movie I was able to squeeze any nostalgia from was skipping to the end credits for the song that played there, which, amazingly, was as good as I had remembered (unfortunate that it had to be in THIS movie).

I guess the bright side is how that crummy movie introduced me to the REAL Dinotopia: the book series that is interesting, imaginative, welcoming, and everything else the cartoon is not! (I've also seen the author, James Gurney, mention online that he'd objected to the making of that dumb cartoon version--no surprise there!) :p But here's what really shocked me: Davis Doi, the director of LBT XIV, also directed that poor excuse for Dinotopia. Thank goodness we didn't get some Spaz 2.0 in Journey of the Brave!

I love the original Pirates trilogy, including this one. :smile To each their own, though! I did think that the first two Pirates movies were better than the third. The third did start out pretty slow, and I remember wondering, the first time I saw it, when things were going to pick up. Also, I thought the 4th and 5th movies were pretty bland...without much of Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, things just weren't the same.

@Enchanted-Valley96 The events surrounding the movie didn't help it, but I guess the animation wouldn't of save the story. :thudstonk

Hmm... If I had to think what movie I have seen to be the worst it has to be the Cat and the Hat as I felt like it was the most inappropriate way to adapt a children's story. (It was so bad that Dr. Seuss's wife objected to a possible sequel and it killed the live action Seuss films right there). It was pushing the rating too much and it scared me as a kid, I repeat, it SCARED me.

Okay, what else...speaking of being scared, worst horror? I'd say Halloween H20, why? It's made as a horror movie, but it's more of a drama with horror only really being at the start and end. The most recent Halloween movie made a homage of one of the many weak fake outs from H20 as it was a retelling of that particular story idea, but it turned it into a real scare.

Worst animated movie? There is a lot, but if it's related to Don Bluth, I'd say All Dogs go to Heaven 2. It contradicts events in the first movie with nothing from the previous getting mentioned. David is the cliche "I ran away from home because remarriage/new sibling (They switch between the two)", The animation hasn't aged well, and Charlie is even a bigger jerk as in he (Spoilers):
Spoiler: ShowHide
NEARLY DESTROYS HEAVEN JUST TO HELP THIS ONE KID AND TO BE WITH A DOG HE JUST MEET!! HE WOULD RATHER LET DOGS GET STUCK IN PURGATORY!!

Eh hem, I am just gonna say, they acted like the all the character development in the first movie didn't exist. Also that dog I mentioned in the spoilers, she doesn't like Charlie and Charlie keeps messing up, offering bad advice and stuff (Easy street, a catchy song XD). Yet she hooks up with him? I don't see the relationship there. XP They also back pedaled idea at the end of the first movie that Carface might get a redemption arc. (Spoilers):
Spoiler: ShowHide
NOPE! HE SELLS HIS SOUL AND GOES TO THE UUNDERWORLD.
This was a childhood classic to me and now that I have grown… It's bad. XD Will say the police chase and final battle looked cool. Also liked Red, he was a neat villain.

@Goldenwind I've never seen that live-action The Cat in the Hat (thankfully), but it looks like it must have been the 2000s counterpart to the infamous new Cats movie. (Filmmakers, the moral of this story is that movies about creepy CGI cats are destined to fail.) :p Also, I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one who was let down by one of their "childhood classic" movies.

I loved the first POTC film, but the sequels were not to my taste. What was funny in first felt like it jept getting rehashed or outdone (which doesn’t work) in sequels, IMHO.

Rock-A-Doodle is pretty bad, and yes I had to include a Don Bluth one. He made masterpieces like Land Before Time (which we all love of course), An American Tail, and The Secret Of NIMH, but Rock-A-Doodle is just a trainwreck. I didn’t even like it as a kid, I even thought it was stupid then.

Also, for those who have seen James Cameron’s Titanic (no I don’t hate it, in fact, it’s actually my favorite movie of all time), there’s actually an animated Titanic movie called “Titanic: The Legend Goes On” which is incredibly stupid and ridiculous, and the animation is lazy, not to mention the incredibly STUPID scene where the dog starts rapping (because yes there totally WAS a rapping dog aboard the Titanic in 1912)
