Some of my favorite video game music comes from one of my favorite games, Bionicle Heroes. Most of them are the six regions, and their pace goes from low to high whenever there are enemies nearby.

I listed all of them here because I like them all, but my favorites are the Piraka boss battles, and my favorite region is the stronghold (so that means my favorite of all of these is the Stronghold Piraka Boss).

Dawn of War II Retribution - Imperial Guard Theme III

A military march that could match or exceed those used by real armies. Though if the Imperial Guard existed it would be a force that is literally millions of times stronger than any army today.

Assault of the White Dragons from Final Fantasy IX by Nobuo Uematsu. I LOVE this piece, as it's very powerful and sweeping, and I love the arrangement on it. The timpani really stands out I think and gives it a good pulse.

If you liked Assault of the White Dragons, here's another from the same soundtrack and artist, Swords of Fury

It's done during a play that takes place in game, so it's rather dramatic and conveys the prelude to the sword fight, and the actual sword fight pretty well I think.

Dawn of War Main Theme
One of my favorite pieces of game music. A dark, gloomy battle cry.

To convey the mood of the game (a battle for a tropical planet, meaning everything to the billions of its inhabitants, nothing to the galaxy-spanning empire which is supposed to take care of it) in better detail:

There is a sense of hope and mystery in the end.

Listening to the Dino Crisis soundtrack. It's freaky when you listen to it while walking in the woods. Makes me feel like a dinosaur is going to randomly pop out and eat me. :unsure:
