Hey y'all. Just thought I'd stick up some of my assorted LBT fanart. Nothing that big or impressive yet, but I'm working my way up.

First up, a quick character sheet I did to help get my mind around drawing Littlefoot. Facial expressions, posture, geometrics, etc

But since they pictures are so big, I'll link to them on my DA account, rather than embed them:

And up next, a character sheet of similar use and design, for Pterano, one of my personal favourite characers. He's just so cool and sinister, yet with a good side! Plus, his voice...Oh geez, I'd definitely turn gay and scalie for that voice!

Anyways, I'll put up more of it as I make them. Also, quick heads-up, anyone expecting fancy photoshop vector-pictures, look somewhere else. I'm straight up pen and pencil all the way.

Oh, and if I could have any advie on how to embed images from DA, I'd appreciate it.

Pretty good art. Have you considered colouring any of it?

Littlefoot looks kind of like an original character I notice instead of remaining exactly faithful to how he is in the movies and TV Series, but that's not a bad thing at all! Perhaps you should invent some characters of your own.

Thanks for the comment man. And I have considered colouring them, but with some of them, I look at them and think that they're pretty much fine without colour, particularly the character sheets. But once I start doing proper pics and not char-sheets, I might start colouring.

And could you elaborate on Littlefoot looking like a fan-char? I did take the expression shots from the original, so that would definitely look different to the rest, but some tips would eb appreciated.

And yeah, I am working on devising some fan-chars. Probably won't work them into a fanfic or an RPG, but it's just fun to devise them for yourself. Right now, I'm working on spinosauruses, assorted bipeds and an LBT version of the Beast From 20000 Fathoms.

The characters are very expressive. I like them very much! I don't know how to embed images from dA. You can upload your work to some image hosting site and link it here by putting the image's URL between IMG tags.

Well, I heeded the advice of caustiser, and I've come up with not 1, not 2, but 4 characters of my own. Together, they make up the Blackweed Brothers And Sister, a dangerous and cruel gang of teenage dinosaurs, who roam the mysterious beyond, fighting anybeast they encounter. Having learnt the language of leaf-eaters from one of their number, Tero (who has since become a mute, ever since a bizarre encounter with a fast-biter), they have used this to their advantage, convincing many a leaf-eater that they are good sharpteeth, before Rheddo pulls their head off.

They are just quick drawings. I'll probably do a proper picture (with backgrounds, setting, etc) later, but this is just a quick concept sketch.

And who knows? Maybe if they go down well, I might even give a fanfic a try.

Nope, he's a species from "The Beast From 20000 Fathoms". But I loved the design so much, I had to LBT-ise it.

Yeah. Here is a Rhedosaurus, as they are imagined in the film:

Looking them up, I actually found that there aren't actually any real dinosaurs even close to that design. You never got real dinosaurs with semi-sprawled limbs like that, and no carnivorous theropods walked on all fours like he did.
Still, I thought it was a cool design, so I created a cartoonised version, and thus Rheddo was created!

New fanart up!!!

Tero Character Sheet

The first in a series of character sheets of my OCs, the Blackweed Brothers And Sister (as previously mentioned). I would have uploaded my one for Redback first, but the scanner was being stupid, so it'll take more time to upload that one. In the mean time, here's Tero, the forbidding, silent presence and the eye-in-the-sky of the Blackweeds.

Redback Confronting Littlefoot

This is one I'm proud of. It started off as a simple confrontation between Littlefoot and Redback, but it slowly evolved into part of the story I may write about the Blackweeds. It just made me think: How did Redback enter the great Valley? Why is he talking to Littlefoot? So, I decided to make it thus:
Littlefoot and his friends encountered the Blackweeds in the Mysterious Beyond, and became convinced that they were different from other sharpteeth, since they can speak leafeater language. So, Redback convinced the young dinosaurs to help them into the Great Valley. Later in the story, Redback also confronts Littlefoot (as seen here) and tries to get him to join the Blackweed Brothers.
I just like the way the background turned out. But the hand-drawn characters look kinda out of place. maybe I should switch to vector-drawing.

Well, hot off the press, here is another batch of artwork. Boy, I'm really pumping this stuff out!

Redback Character sheet

Another of my character sheets, this time for my OC Redback. For more about him, please see my previous posts, and my "Mystery of the Blackweeds" fic.

Celya Character sheet

And another character sheet, this time for Celya, the speed and femininity of the Blackweeds. I'm not quite as proud of this one. It just didn't seem to work as well as the others.

Assorted facial studies

Just a collection of facial studies. Just soething to get a better feel of the different expressions of characters. In the mix, I have Screech, the Spinosaurus from number 12, Ruby, Guido, and the original Sharptooth (who was probably the hardest, since in almost every picture of him, he's so dark he's practically a sillhouette)
The other 2 raptor-like characters were just made up, so I have no idea where they are from.

Anyway, I'd aprecite some critiques and comments, and expect more art on the way, though maybe not so soon.
