Pterano: Where would flyers be without the sick day? We’d still be living on the ground eating ground stars and crawlers and things…We’re flyers because millions of years ago, some reptile took a day off and invented wings. That reptile decided, “I’m not looking for crawlers today, I’m gonna climb to the top of that tree and see if I can make it to the other side of the forest in a single jump. Next thing you know, we’re golfing in the Great Valley! Which further illustrates my point because like even at this point where flyers were pulling this massive journey to a promised land, they recognized the opportunity for goofing off! It’s like, “One small step for flyer…Dude, let’s fly a few donuts through the sky puffies!” The sick day isn’t just a fun thing to do, it’s a fundamental right of every man, woman and hatchling!
