That is a start.  Do you have any questions for folks here?  I'd guess getting modern money from other countries is easier then some would think.
well, there's your average grab boxes, with five coins to a dollar. those are usually fun to dig around in =)

I once picked out he most beautiful coins I can find from around the world and combined therm into a small chest to make it look like a neat little treasure chest. I want to do it again someday. Makes for great decoration!

Sounds like a fun thing to do too and look through sometime, as well as a neat decoration.

You want to talk about them, show pictures of them, or ask any questions here?

Okay, I know that I already posted my coin collection in the general collection section, but I should post it here too. This topic asks for these specifically anyway. Some people may only come to this thread and not the after midnight general one. Besides, this way coin lovers can know exactly what they'll find, since universal collection topics may have little or no coin collections at all. So if you just want to see coins and want to see them for sure, here is my collection of them:

Japanese: http://cid-5c976410991861b2.skydrive.live....on/IMG00230.jpg

American one dollars: http://cid-5c976410991861b2.skydrive.live....on/IMG00247.jpg
American half dollars, mercury dimes, buffalo nickels, and mint set of two new regular new nickels and two new gold coated nickels: http://cid-5c976410991861b2.skydrive.live....on/IMG00259.jpg
American pennies- left is regular and steel wheatie, right is indian head: http://cid-5c976410991861b2.skydrive.live....on/IMG00261.jpg
Yeah, I know that the coins are very hard to make out, but I had to zoom out a lot so that you wouldn't need to click over twenty links to see everything. At least you know the amount and their origin. I've been collecting coins for years, and these are mostly what I got my hands. I have other ones, but they are either single or too common. For example, I only have one Isreali coin, and a large set of pennies from the 1960s. See? Those aren't valuable or large enough sets to even show, but you saw all of my fairly interesting ones. I hope you like them. Later!

Great collection!

I've done one on my own of old coins, like 1800 something and others. Also, Euros is a collection I'm attempting.

The only thing I had in the house was The United States Coin Map but we lost it.  I want to start my own aircraft collecting in all forms but I haven't started yet.

As for myself. I got the 9th Dollar coin in the set today, the William Henry harrison Dollar Coin. John Tyler, the 10th President,, is next on my to-get list. also I've been digging though my change looking for 'P" and 'D" State Quarters of all the 50 states. I have collected nearly all of the "D" quarters, now I just need to find the "P"s...

Actually we lost our map in which we collected euros. It's nowhere to be found for about 3 years now.

I'm not exactly sure. But we had some from each country, that can vary from 2 euros to 1 eurocents.

I primarily collect US type coins, I'd love to do a Shield Nickel set -- ideally I'd love to collect coins without busts (I don't know why, but faces on coins just seem so meh to me, I like coins with non-human decorations.) Coins with wheat, shields, rays, stars, some animals, and the like -- I just find them pretty.

Well I managed to find and buy a mercury Dime from a collector. The Mercury Dimes were made between 1916 and 1945 and prior to this i had never even seen one. so now i have one of those. I am up to date on my Presidents ( up to Grant, Hayes is next) and am always on the lookout for the national Park quarters( Gettysburg is my most recent addition).

well this past friday i cam across a 1947 dime in my change while i was buying a soda. rule of thumb if you are collecting, always go through your change. you never know what you might find. the dime is blackened with age, as silver is want to do when it gets exposed to the elements. it is the oldest dime i have in my collection buy 7 years., i also have dimes fron 1954 and 1959, buoth silver years. i have all the national park quarers up to date, with perry victory -the ohio coin, being my most ecent find.
