I was busy surfing the net, looking for the lyrics to some old LBT songs, and I found alot, but not all, which really disappointed me. -_-

So, I decided to do something about it.

Now, these are the one's that I can remember off the top of my head.  Remember, I haven't seen all the films and it's been a while since I've seen other ones, so there will be gaps. (Please fill in those as you see fit.)

^^Thank you for the corrections.  Like I said, it's been a while since I've seen some LBT films, and LBT 2: The Great Valley Adventure, is sadly one of them.  I guess it's the song "Eggs" that's really keeping me away.  I really hate that song.  In fact, I've nearly forgotten how it goes all together.

Here is a project I've been working on for the last 5 days or so.  Thanks to Malte for supplying me with a few songs which he complied the lyrics for previously.  Saved me a bit of typing.

I have ripped the entire LBT series to my computer.  As a result, I can quickly and easily get screenshots.  Malte was saying he can supply some pictures as well.  I'm not sure that the site needs a "fan art" section, as there are already sites devoted to that.  I'd like to focus more on the series itself, and its contents.

After some more development, perhaps the site could contain:
-Character bios/analysis
-Brief outlines of each film (preferrably without spoilers)
-Screenshots from the various films (providinig I have the bandwidth or the storage space...)
-The guest characters, and in which films they appeared
-The lyrics to every song in the series
-midi files / sheet music to each of these songs, as I get them completed.
-MP3 audio clips (if I have the storage space)
-MP3 song clips for each song (again, if I have the space/bandwidth available.  May have to cut quality down quite a bit.)
-quizzes, polls, fun stuff (maybe, if I have time to write)
-Any other ideas that we can come up with

My biggest concern is bandwidth and storage space.  I have 40 MB of storage, and 100MB / month of bandwidth with freewebs.  I may link to some files on my old angelfire account, simply because they provide me with an additional GB/month of bandwidth, and 20 MB more storage space with each account (I actually have 2 angelfire accounts).

So if I set up enough accounts over various free services, maybe we can get away with having a little media on the page  

I'll get the other sorting method working when I get home from college today, then I'll start work on building a homepage.

^ Believe it or not, there's already a site that has most of that.  Its been sitting on my harddrive for three years now.  Hasn't been online for at least six months now.  If you want to "adopt" it per se, I can send you the whole thing (about 18MB zip) and you can take it from there.  You won't need new song clips, pictures, etc.

Let me add, that what really has bitten me (and continues to do so) is the cost.  The thing about bandwith is I can only pay so much and popularity is often the downfall of sites if they can't afford to put the money to keep them up.  That's why I took down landbeforetime.org because the host was unreliable and I couldn't find a place that could keep it online without asking for more than I could spend.

I too have all the files still saved on my computer. I confess that I have so far failed to bring it back again. Thing is that I'm very inexperienced in creating websites (having never ever designed a website myself). A very good friend of mine who meant to do all the programming stuff about the page hadn't the means to bring it up again either.
Next semester I plan to attend a class about webdesigning and the basics of creating websites. However till then I don't have the KNOW how to bring the page (known as the land before time archive) back. I hope that class will give me the "know". I'm very willing to contribute free webspace I have for hosting images or the like for the webpages to come.

I don't plan to spend Any money on web hosting.  I have 20 MB of space through my ISP, but I won't be able to set that up for a short while.  Until I do, I have to rely on other free services.  I suppose I could use my other computer as a server, but I have no experience doing that.  It's got plenty of storage, and I can leave it on 24/7.  if anyone here knows how to do use a home computer to directly host a site on the Internet, I would be very curious.  As for paying for web hosting, I'm afraid that's not going to happen.

I'm willing to host MIDI files on angelfire, as they would be, at most, 200-300kb (and that's on the large side).  I also set up an account on geocities, which gives me 4.5 mb per hour of bandwidth.  I can host a number of smaller files on there, as well, so long as they are downloaded seperately, and not vital to the web page function.  The web page itself, (the HTM files) are being loaded off freewebs, since it's ad-free.  I can't rely on freewebs for everything though, since there is only 100mb of bandwidth per month.

If I can split the site in enough directions, I think we can get away with it.  I never expected this site to become a community, or a large-traffic area.  I just was hoping to set up a little database of LBT "stuff" that is otherwise very hard to find.  I can't afford ot get fancy, but anything LBT-related that's worthwhile, I'll set up a host somewhere that we can put it on  
It's true, ideally, we should have our own domain and server for this, but I just can't pay for anything right now.  Like I mentioned, if there is Some way to use my other computer as a server (I have a broadband connection at home, and that computer has 1 GB of RAM), that may even work out fine.  I just have no idea how to do that.

Thank you so much for making that website.  You have NO idea how long I've been looking for a website that holds the songs of LBT.

I have found no mistakes so far.  However, since a few songs I hardly remember/don't even know, I can't really tell you how accurate you are.  I'll try to find what time I can to look at the old movies and compare them.

Even though I've seen LBT 6, I don't have it, so I can't give you a positive answer on how accurate those are.  I've also only seen one scene of LBT 7, so I have yet to completely see that one and compare it.  The other films I'll have no problem with comparing them as I do own a copy of them. (I actually consider myself VERY lucky to get 9 and 10.)

So understand that I'll be taking what time I have with my busy schedule to help you out.

Anyways, great job.  I'll be needing this for my fanfic as there are points where memories play a role that involve the songs.  This will be so helpful to me.

I recorded every LBT song to my computer awhile back, and I carefully listened to each one in turn while writing these lyrics up.  I didn't attempt to any of it by memory, as I wanted as few errors as possible.  Where there certainly *may* be errors, related to fatigue from listening/typing for a good 15-20 hours (the time it took to complete that page, from scratch), I was being pretty careful about my typing, though anyone here who has talked to me on MSN knows that I am not neccessarily the best typist in the world .  I also ripped all the DVDs to my hard drive, for those songs where it was hard to hear exactly who sang every part.  I just referred to that section of the film to confirm that information.  The only things I weren't quite sure on, were the spellings of words like "sharply" or "googly", words that were half-made up, but I did the best I could  .  Also, the End Credits of LBT 11, "Stupid Stompers", was challenging to pick out all the singers accurately.  I'm not positive that the names match the sung lines 100%, since there was no nice way to confirm this information.  I did my best, but if anyone can say that my names are wrong in that, or any other song, I'd be happy to change it to make it accurate.

I have found 1 typo in the lyrics, which I have fixed (one in Always There: I missed a word  ) .  If I find anymore, I'll change it ASAP.

Oh, and going back to the idea of expanding the website into a complete LBT resource...I'm not so sure I'll be doing a whole lot more with the site.  Web design isn't something I'm especially strong in, I don't have many reliable ways of storing files, I can't afford to pay for a server, it's too high of a security risk for me to host the web page from my home computer, that, and I don't have the knowhow, exactly.  nor do I really have the time.  
Also, the way I see it, many of the fans who would Go to such pages, already Know most of what's on them.  in other words, the information would basically be redundant.  The site will host data that's difficult to come by (such as lyrics), or unique files (midi files, as they are completed), but I dont think it will ever contain much in the way of information, pictures, or news.
