Hey all.
Looks like Don Bluth is interested in getting back into animation by directing a new Dragon's Lair movie. He needs money to make the pitch video however, and that's where we come in! There are a lot of really cool rewards in this, including a signed picture of Littlefoot and his mother from Don Bluth and Gary Goldman.
Check it out here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dragon-s-lair-returns#/ (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dragon-s-lair-returns#/)

I'm behind this completely. Here's hoping it gets funded. :)
-
The kickstarter didn't have a strong campaign so they restarted on indiegogo. I'm also backing it and really hope it reaches its goal!
-
$250,000 in 45 days is way more reasonable than 550,000 in under a month.
-
Didn't check Don Bluth's sites for some time.
they still collect fund.

Take all my money but help us to see deleted scenes from Land Before Time...
-
Right now he's working on The Dragons Lair Movie and hopefully we'll see the deleted senses of The Land Before Time.
-
Actually, the pitch presentation is almost finished. I'd expect it in the next 1-2 months :) Also, the new perk looks really cool but I'm not sure whether I'll get it... 125 dollars is a high price.
-
Yeah I wouldn't pay that at all. That's very expensive for that.
-
Just to notify, Bluth plans to finish the Pitch presentation by the end of June.
-
Ah that's good let's hope this will be a good movie
-
Originally Bluth wanted to finish the pitch presentation by this December but later on he decided to add more length to the pitch presentation. Originally it was supposed to be five minutes but now it's going to be over six minutes! At this time, it's supposed to be completed by June and even if I'm not at all happy about the delay, if it helps to find the producer for the full movie, I cannot complain. By all means, take your time Bluth, as long as our chances of seeing another full-fledged Bluth film keep growing!. :)littlefoot

still no information about deleted scenes or frames from LBT...
:'(
-
Tyrants awesome that he's still working on this movie. I can't wait until it's fully complete
-
I actually asked him already about what the deleted scenes contained but I never received an answer. Bluth answers some comments or questions of his backers so I could ask him again but I promise nothing.
-
Well, worth a try . :)
goodluck!
-
Maybe if several people ask the same question we'll have a better chance of getting a reply. :)
-
Yeah maybe we will hopefully we'll get a release date soon
-
I'm pysched that we're getting one last Bluth film. I almost can't believe this is happening.
-
It's still unsure whether we'll get the film. It's true that we'll get the 6 minute Pitch Presentation but Bluth still needs a producer. I really hope the Presentation will be Bluth at his very best and helps him get an enthusiastic producer, not ending up as an failure like like Troll in a Central Park for example. But IF the film will indeed be made and it's a success, Bluth implied in one of his videos that we might get more films from him. Sure, he's soon 80 but then again, Portuguese director Manuel de Oliveira worked until his death at 106. The oldest active person in animation, at least to my knowledge, was either Myron (Grim) Natwick or Joe Grant who both continued to work well past their 90th birthdays.

Don published the first 1,5 seconds of finished animation today. Even if the colors look modern than with the classic Bluth films, they still look pretty good. The animation itself looks very Bluth-like as do Dirk's expressions in the brief scene. I would have preferred a more 80s-style look but still, when it comes to animation, I'd say this may just be the best-looking Bluth film we've received since LBT. :yes As for the plot, it seems quite traditional but if Don has a good vision on how to execute, the finished movie (if it ever happens) has the potential to be truly excellent. :) I just hope the plot doesn't fall to the same traps as his last movies did.

I'm looking forward seeing this movie. I hope a company picks this up since it's gonna cost 70,000,000 dollars to make. I saw The trailer it looks okay in my opinion
-
I don't care about movie! Give me information about uncut version of LBT!!!
...
..
.
lol.
Well, I think I will look into this cartoon someday.
-
I've asked him twice but I never received an answer. Still, I'm excited to see another, potentially great Bluth film (or at the very least a preview of it) coming out.
-
He needs a major animated company to pay for this movie since fans don't have 70,000,000 dollars to spend on it
-
Don confirmed that he's done in two weeks! I can't wait! :wow
-
great news!!! :celebrate
congrats him and stuff with completing this long way.
So wait, did they got needed sum?
-
Well, he was looking for 550,000 dollars and now he has 670k. So, yes. :) Remember that this is still the 6 min pitch presentation.
-
He needs A Major animation company to fund the 70,000,000 movie. But cool that he's showing us clips of the movie.
