Yeah, the board has been here, what like six years and there is no thread like this? :p  Figured better late than never.  This should give us all the info we need about new members joining our board. :)

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -  Petrie, because of his loyalty to his group of friends, despite his character flaws (namely his worsening grammar!).  Ducky is a close second because she honest, and willing to help and put others before herself, and that's sort of my style as well. :)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I've never been fond of a lot of the supporting characters that have come and gone in LBT sequels.  The ones that are on this list are Mr. Thicknose, Rinkus and Sierra, and the Tinysauruses.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Can't beat the original that started it all--If We Hold on Together.  Stick to your guns, your dreams, and work towards them and reach the reward you deserve in the end. :)

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Anyone who already knows me already knows the song I loathe the most - that "Lesson-songamajig" from LBT 8.  It is terrible...don't let people sing that cannot sing.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original, naturally.  Its kind of hard to top it.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - I suspect my least favorite is the eighth film for its unlikely plot and overall goofiness which really relegated the series to kiddie fodder.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -  This one is tough.  The most memorable one that has stuck with me is the "It Takes All Sorts" song in LBT 4.  You got me why it has stuck with me, but I believe it has to do with the clash of thought presented in the original film that was revisited when Cera couldn't accept Ali, but eventually does.  Definitely one of the better moments in the sequels.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - I'd have to go with some combination of Ducky and Cera. Ducky is really sweet, but perhaps a bit too sweet sometimes, while Cera is a real Tomboy. I kind of love Cera for that attitude, kind of like myself sometimes :D

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Ruby, but that is probably since I don't like 'new' characters too much anyway. She doesn't really exist for me.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - I can't really make a choice between If we hold on together, Always there, bestest friends and No one has to be alone.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - One song I'll always skip is imaginary friends :P:

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - 1, definitely. 10 and 8 are also high up there.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - umm.. 13? :D I liked two of the songs but really, that's it.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When Guido and the gang sing One of a kind... Honestly the feeling that gives me is just pure awesomeness. That song is so true.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Chomper. The fact that he's a sharptooth makes for interesting contrast, in my opinion, with the rest of the characters. I also like the almost brotherhood bond he seems to have with Littlefoot.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I don't really dislike any of the characters, but if I had to choose one, then I'll probably go with Rhett although I can't really list any reasons why.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together, although this song I haven't been listening to that much lately.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - All the sequel songs (with the exception of Who Needs You which I still kinda like). At first I did like the LBT songs and listened to them a lot, but I eventually grew sick of them and started to fast-forward through the songs. My dislike for the songs began when I heard Legend of the Lone Dinosaur. I didn't like the style it was sung in.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original one, with the 5th movie in second.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The 7th movie. While the 6th movie was what began my eventual distaste towards the LBT sequel songs, I still watched it all the way through. But the 7th movie was the first LBT movie (and probably only one now that I think of it) that I actually stopped before it even finished. I did eventually finish the movie (maybe hours or days later), but I had gotten so bored of it that I didn't want to continue. Other than the rainbowfaces being aliens at the end, I can't really say what it was about the film I didn't like. Maybe it was the pacing. Maybe it was the dialogue. Maybe I wasn't interested in Pterano and those two flyers. I'm not sure. All I can say for sure is that it was the only LBT movie that I had shut off the first time I watched it before it finished.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - I have a hard time picking one scene, but if I have to pick, then I'd say the final fight against Sharptooth in the original movie.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - For me, its going to be Spike. Just for the fact that he's the most laid back, and easy going member of the Gang. That and he likes to eat...kinda like me. :p

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I'd have to choose Rhett simply for the fact that he lied to Ali. I mean come on, if you're going to lie at least make it sound possible!

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Its a tie between If We Hold On Together, and Family in #8

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -  :anger Oops Eeps....enough said.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original will always be on the top of the list, but a very close second would be #'s 8, 10 and 12

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - 13 Despite the fact that Cuba Gooding Jr. did the voice of one of the yellowbellies.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The final scene where the Gang finds the Great Valley...it always brings a tear to my eye.

After my marathon this weekend, I'll redo this and all my top 10's.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Pterano, obviously. Reason given in the "Why is your favorite character your favorite character" thread. Guido comes in second. He reminds me of my boyfriend X3

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - There's a lot here. Doc is one. To be honest, I found him extremely boring. And think about this...he's older than Littlefoot's Grandfather's grandfather. *taps screen Nostalgia Critic style* HELLO!!!
A great majority of the villains are on there too, like Dil and Icky. They do stupid, stupid predators completely wrong. Leave the stupidity of chasing the same person over and over again to the Stupid Rat Creatures from "Bone" (They make stupid predators funny...and cute).

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - No One Hast to Be Alone. I sing along with this one...and I REALLY want to sing it in public :D . Then Best of Friends, Always There, Remembering, Flip Flap & Fly (I sing a long with that sometimes), Things Change, Peaceful Valley and If We Hold on Together

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - The Lone Dinosaur. "Yee-Yaw"...seriously?! "Yee-haw"!? Where did THAT come from!? Imaginary Friends is on that list too. Ah, the very moment where Petrie crosses the "Out of Character" line a step too far. I'm gonna go with A LOT of the songs from the TV series, with the exception of Remembering.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Seven...no dur. It could still use some edits...like the Star Trek theme[/sarcasm]. Oh, that is SO Youtube Poop worthy XD .

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Hmm...havn't seen them all quite yet, but probably eleven. I added a real Mussasaur to my fanfiction out of "*head-desk*"

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Hm. A lot. Littlefoot hatching. I CRIED myself silly the last time I watched that scene. Then there's the scene when they slept together...I thought I was going to cry again there, but I didn't. And the scene when Petrie and Pterano say goodbye at the end of seven.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - A tie between Chomper and Littlefoot. Littlefoot I could always relate to throughout the movies, but Chomper is just so cool to not like.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Ruby. She's just annoying to me and not really needed.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Always will be If We Hold On Together, but the runners up are Always There, Bestest Friends, and No One Has to Be Alone

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Oops Eeps and Bad Luck. They are the most ridiculous songs.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Always the original

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - LBT XIII and LBT VI

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Definitely the end of the original. Nothing can beat the pure emotion the characters felt when they finally reunited with their families in the Great Valley.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -A very close cross between Cera and Littlefoot.  I honestly don't think I could ever decide.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -I hate sharpteeth of any kind, but especially the original one.  I don't care if they're killing to live or not.  The original sharptooth killed Littlefoot's mother, and there's no way in hell I can ever forgive him for that.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -Damn.  Another tough one.  No One Has To Be Alone was absolutely beautiful, but so was Bestest Friends.  I'm not counting If We Hold On Together because it wasn't sang by the gang.  I guess it would have to be No One Has To Be Alone.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -From both the TV series and the movies...Oops Eeps.  From just the movies...Flip Flap & Fly.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -Sorry but the original has always gotta win in my book.  My favorite sequel is probably the fifth movie.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -Thirteenth.  No contest.  The Yellow Bellies were absolutely appalling.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Ah, it has to be in the original film when Cera finally joins the group and sleeps with them in the sharptooth footprint.  It's heartwarming.  Of course, Littlefoot hatching and the final scene at the end of LBT 1 are on the list too, but I still think that Cera swallowing her pride and joining the group is the most memorable and heart warming moment.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ruby, she may not be from the movies, but I still like her none the less, and if there is to be another movie, hopefully she gets the chance to be in it.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Hmm, hard one that, but if I had to pick one character, I would probabaly pick Ducky, well, in the tv series at least, her voice just sounds so...off to me, not like she sounds in the first movie for example, she sounds a bit deeper which is now the main reason why i don't like her.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Eggs! I don't know why, but I just like the song so much XD

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Friends for Dinner that Chomper sings, reason being....it got stuck in my head for a while once and arg, I didn't want to have it happen like that! Curse you Chomper for doing so! *shakes fist*

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first one, no contest there, it is just awesome.....and yeah, not much else to say about it.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Don't know about this one as so far, I have only seen the first, 2nd and 5th ones....well, I think it's the 5th or 6th movie.  Anyways, out of those three, I would probabally have to pick the Mysterious Island one, but why, not sure, as I did rather enjoy the 2nd movie as well.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Ooo, now this is a tough one, but I would have to say when Littlefoot's mother dies.....just such a sad scene really and is rather memorable to me too.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Cera.  Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Tomboys.  They go against the stereotypical normal girl and show that they are just as tough, sometimes even tougher, than any guy out there.  She's no damsel, and that's what I like. :)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - You absolutely MUST include the TV Series for this one.  If you don't, I seriously could not choose.  In the end, it is without a doubt... Ret.  I hate this longneck.  He is such a stuck-up brat.  I mean, he practically had Ali wrapped around his finger - uh, pardon me!  Neck - and had her doing whatever he wanted.  I'm glad the gang taught him a little lesson about lying.  He pretty much deserved it.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Bestest Friends.  Without a doubt, THE bestest song around. :)

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - ANY of the "I Feel So Happy" songs pretty much hit that area.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original.  The first was the best, without a doubt.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The Wisdom of Friends.  Killed Land Before Time.  Need I say more?

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The death of Littlefoot's Mother is forever embedded into my brain.  For as long as I live, I shall never forget this sad and heart-breaking scene. :(

Of course I think that they could have found a way to teach Rhett a lesson that wouldn't have involved endangering Chomper. If something bad had happened to Chomper (such as getting badly hurt) would the "teach Rhett a lesson about lying" have truly been worth it? I wouldn't think so.

Although probably overused, perhaps something more like the story of the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" would've worked better, with Rhett continuing to tell lies until he finds a reason to tell the truth (perhaps a sharptooth coming into the valley) but no one believes him due to his previous lying.

Most liked LBT character: Littlefoot - As a kid I related to him so much.

Least Liked LBT character: Both of the yellowbellies from LBT 13, what was the deal with those idiots.

Most liked LBT song: A tie between If We Hold On Together and No One Has To Be Alone.

least liked LBT song: Say So, it was just plain annoying.

Most liked LBT film: The original, I don't think any other LBT film will surpass it.

Least liked LBT film: LBT 13 Wisdom Of Friends and you know why.

Most memorable LBT moment: Both the death of Littlefoot's mother and the gang finding the Great Valley.

Well, in all honesty, I didn't like it either, but they did show something important.  The fact that Ret left Ali to defend herself against a sharptooth, questions his area of friendship with her.  I mean, he probably wasn't willing to take Chomper on, but he could've at least led her to safety.  Under normal circumstances, his actions would've brought her death by the time he arrived with help.

Seriously, he is just a stuck-up brat.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Pterano (no duhhhh)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Cera I guess...

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Always There

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -Either  Land Before Time 9 or 10.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Definitely when all of the kids hatched, from Little Foot to Tricia. Those moments are always precious. Also when Pterano hugs Petrie at the end of the seventh sequel.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -
Ali (the way she was in LBT4) - I don't know why, but I always had this deep interest in her. For some unknown reason, I always seem to show more interest in the female characters in most animated films/shows. Again, I can't explain why.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -
Cera's dad - He's one of the few animated characters that really rubs me up the wrong way.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -
If We Hold On Together, but closely tied with Always There - these songs aren't the usual song-and-dance numbers that are the main reason I dislike most of the sequels, and that's why I like them.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -
Anything else except the above. No offence meant to anyone, but every other song in the series (except maybe for Bestest Friends) is just ear-grating to me.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -
The original is an obvious choice, but LBT7 is right up there too. Despite its obvious shortcomings explained by Malte and others, my love for this film is still as abundant as it was when I first saw it. It is the most mature sequel I have seen in terms of subject matter, it has the best villains ever (Pterano, Rinkus and Sierra) and though it is sacrilege to some, I loved the fact that the Rainbow Faces were aliens. :p

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -
LBT13 is at the top of my list, and I haven't even seen it yet. Frankly, I hope I never do! :crazy

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
I don't really have a memorable moment, to be honest. The original has so many things that stick in your mind, it's hard to pick. I'd probably say when the Great Valley was revealed at the end.

1. Most Liked Land Before Time Character: Cera, followed in a very close second by Ducky.  Put these two in a blender, and you've got my personality :smile.  I'm not sure exactly what it is about Cera, but I knew from the moment I was first introduced to this series that she was my favorite :angel.

2. Least Liked Land Before Time Character: Ms. Maia, followed by the Yellowbellies.  I think I'd sacrifice myself to the sharpteeth if I had to lead those imbociles back to Berry Valley :bang.

3. Most Liked Land Before Time Song: "Always There" :).

4. Least Favorite Land Before Time Song: "Oops Eeps".  One word: Earbleed :x!

5. Most Liked Land Before Time Film: The original.  Without it, the series would've never happened :yes.

6. Least Favorite Land Before Time Film: LBT XIII :bang.

7. Most Memorable Land Before Time Moment: It's a cross between the Gang snuggling in the sharptooth footprint (LBT I) and the group embrace at the end of LBT I :smile.

1. Most Liked Land Before Time Character-

Littlefoot, of course! He was one of my childhood heroes, not to mention I see a lot of myself in Littlefoot.

2. Least Liked Land Before Time Character-

Tippy. Just...Tippy. If I were to decribe why I hate this obnoxious little freak, we'd be here all night. So I'll just let this scream sum up my feelings towards this character. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! SHUT UP!! JUST SHUT UP!!

3. Most Liked Land Before Time Song-

Peaceful Valley. Just such a great song. It's uplifting, it's fun, it's cute, and for me, it's nostalgic. This song sums up not just the characters' thoughts after having lived in the Valley for some time, but also sums up childhood very well. Every time I hear this song, I just long for the days where I could just go and run around like the song says.

4. Least Favorite Land Before Time Song-

Any of the songs in the TV show and Imaginary Friends. The songs in the show are just really unecessary. Not to mention most of them are just the songs from the movies just cut shorter or with new lyrics. I mean how many times are they going to have the kids sign the remix to the remix of Adventuring?! Guuuhhhh... Imaginary Friends. I just feel so embarassed whenever I hear this song. Even if there's no one around me. It adds nothing to LBT 9 and it just belittles Petrie's character even more. Oh, great. Now I'm thinking about it!

5. Most Liked Land Before Time Film-

Actually, I have three that I consider my favorites. And these are: the original, LBT 2, and LBT 5. Obviously nothing beats the original! It had the best voice acting, the best animation(I'm sorry but no matter how fancy they made the later LBT movies look, nothing beats the look and feel of the original), the best story, and on top of that, it's as much a movie for older audiences as it is for kids. A true, forgotten classic.
Land Before Time 2 and 5, well, I love them because they have Chomper, who's my second favorite character after Littlefoot. The stories were fun and exciting, the songs were surprisingly good, and Chomper's just too loveable to hate!

6. Least Favorite Land Before Time Film-

LBT 8 and 13. Land Before Time eight was SUCH a bland movie. The story was unengaging, nothing really exciting happened, It made Ducky look even more Mary Sueish(Not knowing what it feels like to be angry? Seriously?!), and worst of all...it had friggin' TIPPY IN IT!! I couldn't believe how selfish both Tippy and his mother were in this movie. Okay, having Spike spend a day with them so he can learn how his own kind live is one thing, but then to have him JOIN THEIR HERD, THUS LEAVING AND HURTING THOSE WHO  REALLY CARE ABOUT SPIKE AND HAVE CARED FOR HIM SINCE HE GOT TO THE FREAKIN' VALLEY, WITHOUT EVEN SO MUCH A SECOND THOUGHT AS TO WHAT HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY WOULD THINK OR FEEL ABOUT IT...GAAHH!!! And while I'm on the topic of that freak and his mom, they both had obnoxious voices(Tippy's Mom: Why hellOOOO there!! Nostalgia Critic: I'm AAAAAActing!!)

LBT 13. Two words: The yellowbellies. Nuff said.

Most Memorable Land Before Time Moment-

Ohh, there's a few I can think of. My favorite moment would be when Littlefoot is sleeping in the footprint left by his mom. And then everyone goes to sleep by him, first Ducky, then Petrie, then Spike and Cera. It's just such a great scene that always knows how to make me smile. Also, the song "Always There", when Littlefoot is singing about his mom. It was nice to see him finally acknowledge her in the sequels. You'd think that considering how happy-go-lucky he is in the sequels, you'd think he almost forgot she existed.

Actually I don't see how Tippy and his mom were "selfish" in the movie. I'm pretty certain that Spike chose, on his own, to leave the valley. And wasn't it Ducky who drove Spike away? I think it's a bit unfair to blame it all on Tippy and Tippy's mom when Ducky didn't exactly make the situation any better. If I were to blame anyone for Spike leaving, it would be Ducky, not Tippy and Tippy's mom. But that's just me.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ducky. Chipper, friendly, and a good friend to everyone, Ducky is the epitome of nostalgic childhood, and her optimism and innocence survive even through all the trauma and danger she faces every movie. There's a reason she's the second most popular main character, after Chomper.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Petrie. Sorry, but he's a failed attempt at comic relief, has received two movies and several TV episodes starring him (including, ironically, my favorite movie), and his voice is grating. The nail in the coffin was his religious idolatry of the sun in "The Great Circle Celebration." My opinion on said episode is covered in the relevant thread.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond". My favorite word to describe this song is soaring. It covers a wide spectrum of pitches, it's drawn out, and it's very subject matter is one of how far the world really goes. "Bestest Friends" is an extremely close second, with true emotion and sincerity from all singers. I remember feeling more catharsis upon hearing this song than I did when Littlefoot's mom died. The only reason "Beyond" wins is because after rewatching the seventh movie for the first time in seven years, I felt the lyrics come flooding back. All of them.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Oops Eeps". I have never heard this phrase in my life. Presumably it's more common somewhere else in the world, but not from anywhere I've ever been. The song is also uninspired and inferior even for a Land Before Time song. The lead-in song from a movie should not be the worst.

4a.) Most liked Land Before Time episode - "March of the Sand Creepers". the premise was interesting, and the guest character proves himself to be the third bilingual in LBT history, but who am I kidding? I like this episode because Ducky finally gets a starring role where she acts completely in character, and an entire species is saved. The best part was, I didn't think it was going to be good going in. It's awesome when that happens. : )

4b.) Least liked Land Before Time episode - "The Great Circle Celebration". To sum it up, Petrie becomes a disciple of the sun, the others go along with it, Cera calls him on it, and God summons a fiery meteorstorm to set her in line. In the end she admits she was wrong to judge, and Petrie accepts her apology. The athiest is not amused.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - "The Stone of Cold Fire". Manipulation, family ties, science, magic, this sequel had all of them. The villain has remained one of the favorites of the franchise, and despite the amount of screentime Petrie receives, Ducky still gets a solo adventure for herself. Not to mention, it was the one time I could relate to Petrie and found him tolerable; he was just a young kid forced by a conniving uncle to do his bidding. It sounds like the plot of a Shakespeare play.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - "The Wisdom of Friends". The Yellow-Bellies made me want to claw my eyes out with a Snuggling Stick, and the whole premise grew trying once it became obvious the guest stars weren't going anywhere soon. The premise was much too weak to sustain an entire movie (most of the TV episodes had more advanced plots), and the morale appeared to be "the Yellow-bellies have their own kind of wisdom!"

Quote from: Pet Shop Boys on  "I'm With Stupid"
Is stupid really stupid, or a different kind of smart?

No. No, it isn't.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Again, gotta go with Petrie's singing voice in It Takes All Sorts (In Dutch) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRw4G9UIMaw). Listen to Petrie sing and not crack a smile.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot. He is the hero, what can I say?

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Yellowbellies.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Peaceful Valley (End Credits). The ethereal choir adds this mysterious but calm feel. The chimes are a nice touch too and the vocals are pure awesome. Beyond the Mysterious Beyond. I love the singing voices of the Rainbowface and the choral singing is done . And as someone with an interest in science, the vocals really struck a point with me.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Imaginary Friends. Petrie is not that great of a singer in this and the lyrics are not that great either and the animation is...drug inspired to say the least.  Who Needs You is another track I cannot stand. Dil and Icthy have utterly horrendous singing voices.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - LBT 7. Darker plot and a pretty good story to boot.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Out of the ones I saw, The Secret of Saurus Rock was my least favorites. Western ballads do not work in LBT and Cera's little sisters were utterly irritating to me.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The fact that the Rainbowfaces turned out to be aliens. That was memorable for the sheer weird factor.

1)Most liked Land Before Time character -Ruby. You know,it's interesting story, when i saw her first time i dislike her only cause i don't know her...But then i saw all series i started to like her, maybe of her beauty, manner of speaking or cause she's new character-i can't explain it.Anyway,i like her

2)Least liked Land Before Time character - Petrie.I don't want to explain it

3)Most liked Land Before Time song - Yellow Belly Dance.Seriously,i don't like sad songs(that's not mean that i never listen it).Positive!

4)Least liked Land Before Time song - When you big

5)Most liked Land Before Time film- 13.Only because of the quality

6)Least liked Land Before Time film - 8.When i wached it,I was very bored.I don't why but it so

For now, I'm missing 2, 3, and 5 from my list. Until then, I'm going to do my second go.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Pterano. Reasons given maaany times. And he's like my 'holy grail' of Michael York characters. Guido is in second. And Petrie in third (except that he was COMPLETELY ooc in the TV series, in having an imaginary friend, and being afraid of flying though clouds. He seemed brave enough to yank a sharptooth's eye in the first movie and peck another in the eye in 11)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Red Claw. Does this guy have a MOTIVE for being the Bully of the Mysterious Beyond. WHAT THE HECK DOES HE WANT!?

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - No One Has to Be Alone, If We Hold On Together, Peaceful Valley, Grandma's Lullaby, Flip Flap and Fly and Bestest Friends I sing those to myself sometimes. AND when I was watching the movies with my boyfriend (but not Peaceful Valley, since we didn't have 2 at that time).

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Every 13 song, Imaginary Friends (Petrie's personality wall shattered right as he said that he talks to his imaginary friend all the time)

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - 7!!! Been so for a good ten years!

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - 13. Seriously. Grandma sounds like she's making a commercial when she's talking about the wisdoms. And since WHEN are they going to listen to "Stay inside the Great Valley". REALLY, lady?! REALLY!? You KNOW your grandson is going to run off and go "adventuring" in a minimum of three days! Almost every rule in that movie is broken. I did like Littlefoot's second weird dream. It seriously looked more like they JUMPED off the log than fell off XD ! And when all the Yellow Bellies stack on top of each other. Something about that was just...pain relieving even though it was painful

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Littlefoot hatching and his mother's death (both scenes had me in tears the second to last time I watched it),
Dil: But Icky, you know the routine. Dinner first, THEN desert
Icky: What are you, my mother?!,
Petrie hugging Pterano at the end of 7, like what Rat Lady said.
"Bestest friends" and "No One Has to Be Alone" sequences.

Now two see those last three. Then I will have made up my mind and go on to the top 10's.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Whilst I like most of the LBT characters, I've always liked Littlefoot for some reason.
But I like Chomper also.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Ali is such an annoying character.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If we hold on together, Always there and No one has to be alone.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - I suppose since I dislike Ali this may seem rather biased ;)  but It takes all sorts.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -
The original.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - 4, 6, 7, 10 (I haven't seen the others).

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
Littlefoot's hatching.
The epic fight scene between Littlefoot's mother and sharptooth.
The death of Littlefoot's mother.
The gang finding the great valley.

He mentioned the land before time twice already in other videos.
While I generally like his videos I think that of lately he has been focusing too much on movies which he tore apart entirely. It would be nice if there were some reviews on better movies again or if again there was something along the lines of the top 11 lists or comparisons of different movie adaptations of the same story (as in case of the lord of the rings). In the long run it becomes a little repetitive if he is focusing on really bad movies only.

Keep in mind that this is a gig the Nostalgia Critic does; he does not always hate every movie/show that he reviews. He reveals this is in his commentary of "Sonic the Hedgehog". So don't take everything that he says to heart. He's only doing it for entertainment purposes through exaggeration.

Of course. I do like the nostalgic critics videos. I only meant to point out that for quite a while he has been focusing on really poor movies and personally I would find it refreshing to see a review of a less terrible movie again for a change. He has been giving credit where credit is due in movie reviews but it has been a while since he has been reviewing any movie worth of much credit. His positive reviews on movies go to show that a movie doesn't need to be poor to get a funny review. Of lately his videos have become just a little too homogeneous in tearing movies apart (however deserved the tearing apart may have been).
I'm hoping for some reviews of not too bad movies again or for something like the top 11 lists or comparisons of various adaptations (which as in case of the sonic the hedgehog movie may include both bad and not so bad adaptations).

Most Liked Land Before Time Character(s): I could go into an extremely long and convoluted discussion of the multifaceted reasons for why I would consider certain characters my favorites (and why I might be ever-so-slightly fonder of some than others), but for the purposes of this thread, I’ll just say that all the members of the gang of seven are probably eligible. In addition to that, my favorite guest character is probably Mr. Thicknose (though Guido is up there as well), and my favorite antagonist is Sharptooth.

Least Liked Land Before Time Character(s): Saro, Rhett, Doofah.

Most Liked Land Before Time Song(s): “If We Hold On Together”, “Always There”, “Family”, “No One Has To Be Alone”, “Bestest Friend”, and “Things Change”.

Least Liked Land Before Time Song(s): “You’re One Of Us Now”, “Say So”, “Oops-Eeps”, “Everything Will Be Okay”, “Made A Mistake”, “Must Believe”, “My Way”, “The Amazing Threehorn Girl”, “Is It True She Lied?”, and all versions of “Feel So Happy”.

Most Liked Land Before Time Film(s): Of all time: definitely the first. Favorite sequel(s): perhaps II, III, and V. Favorite TV episodes: probably “The Spooky Nighttime Adventure” and “Through The Eyes of a Spiketail”.

Least Liked Land Before Time Film(s): Least favorite LBT installment of all time: “The Legend of the Story Speakers”. Least favorite movie: LBT XIII: The Wisdom of Friends.

Most Memorable Land Before Time Moment(s): As far as I’m concerned, the entire original movie. If I must narrow it down, everything from the opening credits to Littlefoot’s birth scene, Sharptooth’s first appearance to the earthshake sequence, and the final confrontation with Sharptooth to the end credits.

Malte, how do you know he hates the sequels? I mean sure he probably hates some of them(I don't exactly like all of them myself) but that's not to say he hates them as a whole. For all we know, he might actually like most of them.

And even if he does do a review for one of the LBT movies and trashes it, will it realy effect how we feel about the movie? I'd watch the review regardless and maybe even get a good chuckle out of it.

Also, watched his review for The Good Son. It didn't look as bad as he made it sound. Looked sort of stupid and along the lines of being The Omen for kids but it then again, I love stupid horror movies.

I love the Nostalgia Critic! His recent review of the top 11 Villain songs has gotten me re-hooked on the Lion King's Be Prepared and Hunchback of Notre Dame's Hellfire.

It was actually this site, the thread on Titanic:The Animated Musical , that introduced me to the Nostalgia Critic, and now I watch his reviews every Wednesday. :D

And as for him reviewing a LBT movie, I'm content just with his Land Before Time reference in his review of We're Back! A Dinosaur Story.

The original Land Before Time, definitely.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character
Ducky, hands down. Juvenile innocence and cuteness
is perfected in this child of nature. Having her
just sitting there doing nothing and looking cute
is enough to put a smile on anyone¥s face.
Gotta love her carefree optimism and curious nature.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character
All those lame cartoonish Sharpteeth, who can¥t do
nothing but open their jaws and growl. Too bad
that majority of the theropods of the sequels
fall into this category.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song
If We Hold on Together is an obvious winner
in my books, as it was such an important part
of the score of the original movie. But if I
have to pick the second best, the one
performed by Ichy and Dill in the 4th movie
was absolutely hilarious!

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song
Maybe one from that horrendous yellowbelly
movie.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film
Obviously the first one, but the 7th
film stands out immediately thereafter,
because of Pterano. He¥s such a fascinating
multi-layered psychological figure, who
definitely should have been made a recurring
character. Additionally, this movie seems to
have slightly smoother animation quality than
its predecessors (not including the superior
first movie, of course).

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film
The 13th movie was abysmally hideous. These
irritating yellowbellied weirdos do not
belong in LBT universe.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment
The scene that epitomized LBT for me has to be the
part from the original movie where Cera discovers
the unconscious Sharptooth from the bottom of the
gorge. To this day that part champions as one of
the scariest things I have ever seen!

1.) Most Liked Land Before Time Character:

My favorite character is Ali. There is a lot I like about her. For one thing, she learns concepts very quickly. Just a little exposure can grant her great knowledge to a subject. For example, before her Great Valley in “The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists” she was unaware of interspecies socializing. After spending just a very short time with other kinds, she came to understand a great deal, shown through the song “It Takes All Sorts.” She sang parts that really had a good message to say about accepting other kinds.

It take all sorts
to make a world!
Short and tall sorts,
large and small sorts,
to fill this pretty planet with love and laughter;
to make it great to live in
tomorrow, and the day after.

True, the others sang about good ideals too, but I was most impressed with Ali doing so because she had only learned about accepting others earlier that very day. She catches on really fast, in short. Being rather slow myself, I all the more admire those who can adapt their way of thinking expediently.

I am also very fond of how she doesn’t let others treating her poorly effect how she treats them back. Cera was constantly on her during that movie, and Ali not once said anything mean back, nor did anything in retaliation. Even after all Cera said to/about her, that did not effect Ali’s decision to risk her own life to save hers. It is possible that Cera wouldn’t be around if Ali hadn’t jumped on Dil’s back to save her. I don’t think Cera believed she could have escaped on her own either, because she gave a very heart-felt thank you to Ali.

Ali seems to me like a dinosaur pleaser. She prefers to do what others want of her, and not so much what she would like to do. When Ret asked her to play a game that she was tired of, she put up very little resistance. She didn’t say no, just a slight inquiry about other options, and when Ret made it clear that his mind was made, she didn’t say another word in objection. You could say she was kind of a pushover. She doesn’t speak her mind when she doesn’t like something another does, just goes along with it. My guess is that she just likes to keep those around her happy, even if it costs her her own happiness. I’ve been that way a lot, so I can really relate to how she feels about it. You just kind of like to keep the peace in the air blowing, not beat against it with your own objections.

Ali is also very protective of her friends. I don’t think she was exactly on Ret’s side with his stories; I think she’s more defensive of those she cares about in general. Littlefoot accused Ret of lying, so she went into action to stand up for Ret. I think that if Littlefoot was telling stories and Ret called him on it, she would have gotten the same way to Ret.

I wouldn’t say exactly that she was gullible. She was a close of Ret and I think that just let her guard down. When you really care about someone, you are more susceptible to felling victim of his or her faults. Here’s an example: Let’s say you have a good job and make a lot of money. You are usually very weary of loan requests to you. You have met people here and there and they have asked to borrow but you always say no. Then a friend comes along who you have known for over a year. He asks you for money, and because you are close to him there is this trust, this lowering of your guard, so you lend him the money. I’d bet if some random kid came along and said the things ret did, she probably would have laughed. I think she just wasn’t expecting someone she had let herself get close to to try deceiving her, so she did not question his words in her mind. Some things are just easier for me to swallow when hearing them from someone close, so I can relate and don’t look down on her for how she acted in “The Brave Longneck Scheme,” especially considering her age. She was just a little kid. A lot of kids believe things that older people would never, though there are always kids around who won’t believe some stories despite their age.

I really like how forgiving she is. This is highlighted in both of her appearances. She forgave Cera for all the mean things she had said, and Ret for lying to her. She just won’t hold on to grudges, and I really look up to that. For these reasons and more, Ali has become my favorite character.

2.) Least Liked Land Before Time Character:

It’s a hard decision for me, but I’d have to say Ozzie from “The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure.” I see him treat Strut in ways similar to how Ichy treats Dil, but I dislike Ozzie more because he is treating poorly a family, his own brother. While it is wrong to treat anyone poorly, doing so to one’s family just strikes me as even more wrong. They grew up together. They ate together. They went places together. There were born from the same parents (most likely anyway). The way he treated his sibling really got to me. Smacking him, controlling his diet, ordering him around, having him do the work (holding the egg the whole time), calling him names just from him wanting to eat another type of food, and so on. Being mean is one thing, but being mean to your blood just seems darker in my book. Cera is mean fairly often, but I have yet to see her mistreat her sister. Ozzie just seems to undermine the value of family and the ties it should bring.

3.) Most Liked Land Before Time Song:

My preference in a favorite Land Before Time song has differed over time, and presently, it is “Bestest Friends.” It’s too difficult to explain why.

4.) Least Liked Land Before Time Song:

Very easy choice: “Girls & Dads.” Here are the lyrics: http://www.freewebs.com/action9000/Songs/girlsanddads.htm (http://www.freewebs.com/action9000/Songs/girlsanddads.htm) I believe that song went a bit overboard with its comments of fathers. These are movies that should be completely appropriate for children in every way, yet I feel that a lot of comments in this song may give children a poor message. Here are some reviews of that song from Amazon.com:

Quote
After watching this movie, my 4 year started singing dads are dumb, dads are dumb- because that's all she could remember of the song. Sometimes pre-schoolers don't "get" the entire message of a song or movie. You may have to have a long discussion over the meaning of this movie, so be prepared!

Quote
It is no wonder that parents in our society are struggling to gain respect and be able to control their children. We worry that movies and games they play are appropriate and make claims that there are terrible things being watched out there. But right here in front of us is a movie we should feel safe watching and all it is showing our children is that it is okay to disrespect their father. Besides, according to the movie, Dad's just don't get it anyways.

Quote
The reviewers "B&B Brothers Motorplant" say "all [that this movie] is showing our children is that it is okay to disrespect their father. Besides, according to the movie, Dad's just don't get it anyways."

"Dad's [incorrect use of possessive] just don't get it anyways [incorrect use of plural]."

In my opinion, this song is the exact opposite of “Me and my Dad” from “The Land Before Time X.” That one sings about how great it is to have a dad. This one sings about complaints of them. It’s like the song writers contradicted themselves. One movie they go on and on about the greatness of fathers, then the very next movie they express problems with them. There is no contest. I dislike no Land Before Time song more than this.

5.) Most Liked Land Before Time Film:

Despite Ali being my favorite character, I can’t say movie four is my favorite. I have to go with “The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island.” I could talk about it all day (not literally) so I’ll just limit my response to a few points of interest.

It was nice to see how Chomper was turning out. It’s amazing how just that short time with leaf-eaters changed his growth so much. I imagine had his egg not been lost, he would have been just like the orange Sharptooth from “The Lonely Journey,” growling and biting.

It’s intriguing how he developed talking as he mentioned upon the gang’s arrival, “It’s nice to have someone to talk to that doesn’t roar back.” This adds mystery to the movie, and unanswered questions are fun, as they let the viewers imagination go to work. Just like Ducky saying how it’s bad to wake a sleep walker in movie twelve, there is never an explanation about it.

This was the first time the gang ventured from their families and ended up without a way home. It adds that suspense, as viewers are going, “Okay, the only path home is gone. How are they going to get back now?”  I feel the timing of Dulcy’s arrival was a bit too convenient, but with limited time, I guess the writers could fit the gang staying much longer. I always thought it would be neat if Dulcy had taken a while and the gang was stuck for the night. I could see them riding on Chomper’s parents’ heads as they were shown around and- ah, sorry. This is about my likes, not what I wish had happened.

It was very touching how Littlefoot drew close Chomper. It was amazing how a leaf-eater and meat-eater were able to do so, though it’s easier to grasp considering they are so young. Children are more apt to make unusual friends. You won’t often see a grown person run into the house grasping a bug saying  a new friend was found. Children just befriend more freely, but still. Littlefoot was pressed by his other friends to be cautious, but he cared about Chomper enough that he defended him strongly without question (perhaps like Ali did when Littlefoot questioned Ret?). Even with little food on the island, Chomper hid his friends, and Littlefoot dived into the Big Water to save Chomper’s life. The bond was beautiful.

Truly a pleasure it was to see grown Sharpteeth being kind to leaf-eaters. I’ve often wondered if that news was what led the leaf-eater grown-ups to accept Chomper. I never thought I’d see a grown Sharptooth smile. Priceless. I don’t think his parents remembered Littlefoot from movie two. If they had, I don’t think his mother would have referred to Littlefoot as food, nor his father make a comment about eating them at all. When his mother say Littlefoot, she didn’t seem surprised at all, no form of recognition, which surprised me. If I lost my child and found him with another kid, I think I’d remember what the other kid looked like.

I was bit intrigued by the revealing of Cera’s motion sickness. Just watching movie five didn’t make me surprised, it was the episode “The Great Log Running Game.” After Cera felt so horrible riding on a log in movie five, I was a bit taken back by her eagerness to do so in that episode. In fact, running on a log seems even more stomach-upsetting then just laying down like she did in movie five, so I guess she just got over it. Some people get motion sickness then grow out of it with time.

And those would be a few of my points of interest from “The land Before V: The Mysterious Island.”

6.) Least Liked Land Before Time Film:

That would be “The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses.” Yes, that movie contains my least favorite Land Before Time song, but my choosing of the movie as a whole as my least favorite one is completely unrelated. If “Girls & and Dads” was in movie twelve for instance, movie eleven would still be at the bottom of my list.

My main dislike of the movie is how they tore down Littlefoot’s reputation that they had so long built up. Littlefoot had always been a character of virtue. In movie one, he led the whole gang to the valley by following his heart. In two, he stayed by Chomper (not physically) the whole time, even when the others were starting to back down. In three, he was the one who encouraged the others to go help the bullies, even after how mean they had been. In four, he decided to travel to a dangerous, far-off land to save his grandfather. In five, like in two, he remained faithful to Chomper till the end. In six, he was the one determined to “fix” the bad luck the gang had “caused.” In seven, he was able to sense that Pterano was up to no good, getting a compliment from his grandfather about his instincts, and later, his perception alone was praised by the Rainbow Faces. In eight, when the others were singing about how Spike didn’t fit in, he brough up points about how Spike did. In nine, he was the one who decided to go help Mo home. In ten, he was very kind to Shorty and accepted him as a brother, even after the way Shorty had treated him. In eleven- bam! His reputation was shot.

He tries to steal a tree sweet in secret before he was allowed, that alone looking bad on him. Then he falls and ruins the tree, and the Tinysauruses run up and eat all the tree sweets that had fallen to the ground. He was seen leaving the area, so he was put on the spot and had to speak publicly about what he knew. True, he did not eat the sweets, and he made that clear, but many of the details he provided were false. Littlefoot has been made into a lyer, but it doesn’t stop there. He then discovers where the Tinysauruses are living and lies to one of them as well. I could see someone else doing something like that, but after the way Littlefoot has been portrayed all through the years of films, I was in shock.

To me at least, Cera was more aggressive than usual, making things a bit awkward with her violence. She shoved Ducky against a tree and knocked Petrie down numerous times. The way she would take her aggressions out on her friends was not appreciated.

Some other things I didn’t like, but those are it mainly.

7.) Most Memorable Land Before Time Moment:

This one is no toughie. I’d have to say the scene that has the most touching impact on me would have to be the one where Littlefoot is born; it really warms the heart. It can truly captivate you to watch it all unfold. His egg crackles slowly, soon revealing an upside-down baby Longneck. He sits himself up, smiling warmly at his first sight of the world around him. He gazes around, taking in the images of the scenery and its inhabitants. With his first sighting of his cheerful mother, he is at first surprised, so much that he loses his balance and falls over. His mother washes him, which at first he tries to escape from, then remains in place, embracing the warm tongue he has quickly come to enjoy the sensation of. With appreciation, he gingerly tries returning a lick. He then clutches tightly to his mother’s face, letting her lift him gently into the air. He then becomes aware of new faces, and skitters away nervously, losing his balance and falling in the process, coming to rest by his mother. She encourages him to be not afraid, and with that, he pokes his little head out to gaze yet again at the new faces around him. He quickly grows tired, and lies down to rest; coming into the world and meeting his mother was quite an ordeal for him. The other creatures approach him and he again becomes uneasy and runs for the first time, only to again lose his footing. His mother gently clutches her sweet boy with her lips and lifts him into the air, setting him down to rest against her soft, warm body, where he soon drifts off to sleep. No other Land Before Time moment clings to my heart as much as this one does, though when his mother dies, it tears at my heart with the same strength.

And that sums up my answers to the questions here.

I love how you described your most memorable moment, Sharp. That's the most detailed description I've seen of that part of the movie so far :D

I about forgot about the part with Cera and Ducky in LBT XI.  Sure, she's aggressive, but that was way over the top for her character .

He mentioned the land before time twice already in other videos.
I'm just curious, what are the two times he referenced LBT? I know of the one in We're Back!, where he compares said movie to "Land Before Time on crystal meth," but I don't know the second time he referenced it.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ducky.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Cera. Or Shorty. Yeah, probably Shorty. But I still dislike Cera.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Eggs. I love that British dinosaur.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - I don't think I've paid enough attention to the songs to have a least favorite.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - 10. By far. At first, I knew I was going to be biased toward the other films because I saw that Keifer Sutherland is in 10. Then I actually watched the movie and it was freakin' sweet. Definitely the best fight scene in the series. And, in my opinon at least, it looks the best.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - 13. I'm almost tempted to put 7, but the only reason is the ending. If the rainbow faces hadn't been aliens, it would've been a good movie. Well...maybe if they had a villian that didn't suck. Besides that, it was well written.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Again, probably the fight scene from 10. Just 'cause I like fight scenes.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - I would have to say guido. his akwardness reminds me a little of myself, and hits my friend's personality right on the money

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - i must say that my least favorite charicter has to be the rainbofaces from lbt7. it's not that they arn't interesting, it's that they arn't nessisary. all they really are there for is to tell littlefoot and co. about the stone and to get them from the cave to the top of the peak. and the ending reveal. Really, Aliens. :lol

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -  as opposed to the comment above, i will have to say that my favorite song is "Beyond the Misterious Beyond". the message is one that i live by, question everything, and the sound of it is good.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Oops 'friggin' Eeps" .there is really no other reason then the fact that for hours after hearing this song i can't do anything besides think about it, and everyone on this site agrees with me when i say that they should use this song as tourture at gitmo.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The Land Before Time 1

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The Land Before Time 13    when LBT Jumped the shark

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - when cera lampshades the "walking across the ravine on a log" cliche. just the selfe awarness of the moment alone is enough to make me laugh

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Cera. I like her attitude, personality and her voice.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - The 2 villains in the 4th movie, i dont even remember their name.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - I like almost all of them... even Oops Eeps ! (what ? I like the beat...) Hmm... I will choose Peaceful Valley. Maybe it is the nostalgia, but my eyes became wet everytime i hear it.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - The first song of the 4th movie. Its the only song in all the serie that i skip everytime.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first. But in the sequels, my favorite is the 9th.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The 4th. I dont like the villains, the mists, the story, the songs and the secondary characters.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When they found the valley in the first movie. The sunlight, the green of the vegetation and the music. Memorable is a weak word for describing that.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -

Littlefoot.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song -

Big water

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song -

None.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -

Besides the original? The tenth.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -

THIRTEEN.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

Littlefoot mourning for his mother in her footprint... thing. Also, the shadow disappointment scene.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Mo, for obvious reasons that were given in about two or three threads here. Pterano comes in at a very close second, because of his personality.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - There are a few here. Among them are Dinah & Dana. They were just... plain annoying.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together, Big Water (particularly the the fifth movie version), Always There, and No One Has To Be Alone

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - The Legend of The Lone Dinosaur, Bad Luck, and Imaginary Friends

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - 1 (Naturally). 5 & 9 both come in at a close second.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - I'd have to say 6. Dinah & Dana just got in the way most of the time.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When the gang hatched from their eggs, the death of Littlefoot's mother at the hands of a Sharptooth, when the gang finds the Great Valley, when Mo was reunited with his water-kin at the end of nine, and when Pterano and Petrie hug and say their goodbyes at the end of the seventh movie.

I'm going to leave the TV series out of this for now. Not due to any ill will; if I include it, I want to scrutinize it in its entirety, and I just don't have the focus to process that much information at the moment :p

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -

Ah, it's far too difficult to choose a favorite! Each character adds their own unique flare to the series, I really like them all for one reason or another. Soooo I guess I'll just list a few of those reasons:

Littlefoot, for his courage, objectivity and heart.
Cera, for her spunk and grudging benevolence (it's very hard to find strong female characters that don't irritate me, so Cera gets an extra gold star :D).
Ducky, for her innocence and optimism.
Petrie, for his gullibility and general wackiness.
Spike, for his steadfastness and loalty.
Shorty, for his complexity and unexplored potential.
Mo, for his indomitable spirit :smile

I could keep going, but that's probably enough :p

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -

Hm, there aren't really any characters I specifically dislike... I guess I'll have to go with Loofah and Doofah, just because they're the least interesting.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -

If We Hold On Together. I'd start singing this to myself in combat training when I felt like I couldn't run any farther. Fortunately I was too exhausted to feel self-conscious about it :lol That extra little push a person needs can come from the smallest things. :yes

No One Has To Be Alone deserves a spot here, too. This song pretty much exemplifies my state of mind, along with the accompanying Grandpa quote, "In a world so full of life, you are only as alone as you choose to be." That concept is quite important to me, and I'm thrilled that they touched on it in LBT.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -

Probably 'Say So' from XIII. It was the only song that I feel completely fell flat in all areas.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -

Well, the first one is always going to occupy its special pinnacle, but other than that I really loved IX and VIII. XII wasn't bad, either. Guidooooo :smile

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -

XIII, though I don't hate it. I didn't like XI when I first saw it, but it's grown on me since then.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

I think I've already talked about this scene in the 'saddest lbt moments' thread or somesuch, but I really can't help bringing it up again.
It's the scene in the first film where Littlefoot sees his shadow and mistakes it for his mother. It's an unbelievably sensitive scene that makes the pain of her death very real. Quite a striking emotional transformation moment.

Most liked character- itchy, i guess because he's a bird. Pterano would be my 2nd choice

Least liked characters- Dina and Dana they're annoying and only serve as an excuse for a sharptooth to be in the movie.

Most liked song- the TV series opening

Least liked song- Oops eeps :bang

Most liked film- 7 and 12 can't decide which one I like more

Least liked film- 13 seriosly, universal, you had to steal MY fan characters

Most memorable moment- the part in the 1st one where they try to get treestars by stacking them selves

extra favorite quote- (Episode canyon of the shiny stones) Petrie: MOOOOOOMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!111!!! :spit

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -   Littlefoot hands down. wants to make everyone happy and never gives up til it is accomplished.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - I guess it would be Toppsy.... i really do not dislike any characters but i see enough cold-like dads anyway...

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - From LBT 4, "It takes all sorts"  to have a great team to overcome anything, you really need a bit of everything.  This song also seems to have been done out from the soul.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Oops eeps.... this somg sounded like it was an instant idea and the plan worked =/

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - really can't say.... i can see any one of them and i can't claim which is better... T.T

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - Same here.... like above i just CAN NOT decide...

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - the moment when Littlefoot was  seemingly ABOUT to give up the journey to the Great Valley, to have a Treestar carry a message from his mother.

1. That waould definetly have to be...Littlefoot. I just love him. Chomper's right up there too. He's so cute.

2. Rhett. I just don't like him. For obvious reasons too. He lied to Ali just to make himself look better. Come on! Whenever I watched him I was like, "grrr. Why did they have to add YOU in?" But at least the gang told him. Hehe  :D

3. If we hold on together. It's just a beautiful song that brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Alway's there is wonderful too. And it has one of the only references in the entire series about Littlefoot's mother. Same with No one has to be alone and Bestest Friends. Oh and Eggs! I have no idea why i like it. It's just...awesome.

4. Adventuring including the version from number 10. That one grates my ears. Also I feel so happy and most of the songs from the tv series. They get annoying real fast.

5. The first one. No contest there. It's absolutely beautiful.

6. The 13th. It just ruined it.

7. That's a tough one. Hmmm...the moment I'll alway's remember is probably when the gang finds the Great Valley. And the hug at the end.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ducky, Chomper, Pterano, Sharptooth ( original ), Little Foots Mother, Grandma Longneck ( so many xD )

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Rhett, Mr. Thicknose ( i always found him such a nuisance and in the way ), Guido ( same goes for him. i was just praying throughout the movie and series that he would get snatched up by a sharptooth x_x ), Ali ( i also found her annoying but shes not that bad )

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together is my all time favorite but a view choice ones that I remember enjoying as a kid was On Your Own, Very Important Creature, and Grandma's Lullaby.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Everything else besides the ones listed above. But the most hated one has to be Yellow Belly Bounce and Flip, Flap, Fly -____-

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Original, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 9th.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - 13th.... hands down... AUGH!  -explode-

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Littlefoot's mothers death. It makes me teary eyed even to this day :c

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Oh geez, too many to choose! I'd say, a close tie between Guido (Just such a fun character), Bron (lovable father figure and great fighter), Pterano (Megalomaniacal, thesbian, and a great singer to boot!)and Petrie (Need I say anything? He's always been the one I remember from the series)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Danah and Dinah. But they would be so easy to improve: Just make their design similar to Tricia's, and don't let them talk, because babies and toddlers do not talk like that!

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Bestest Friend. It just...works. It's well written, atmospheric, sweet and just plain beautiful. Squeezes a tear outta me every time.
I would say "If We Hold On Together" if not for one thing: For some reason, rather than feeling schmulzy, it kinda depresses me when I listen to it. Maybe it's because it's an ending song or something I dunno...

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Imaginary Friend. As soon as I saw Petrie drumming, I knew this was gonna blow.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - I would usually say the original, but I'll exclude it so the others have a chance. I can't pick just one, so I'd say it's all of them from 7 to 10. They just seemed well thought out, with good acting, mostly good songs, good new characters and the animation was almost back on par with the original.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Of the ones I've seen, I'd have to say number 4. Not the asolute low point of the animation (That would be number 5), but pretty low, plus the new characters didn't really work. Ali was underdeveloped, Ichy and Dil were a bit too goofy (Ozzy and Strut were at least menacing), Old One was a bit of a jerk and Tickles was pointless.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - From the original: Littlefoot's Mother's Death. Watching it was the first time I cried from a movie, nay, the first time I cried AT ALL, in about 3 years. It was also the only scene I actually remembered from the first time I watched it (Though for some strange reason, I seem to remember at the time thinking the scene took place either inside a cave or underwater.... :confused )
From the sequels: The climatic battle in number 10. Dramatic, actually violent, and pretty big too.

EDIT: Now that I've seen all of them, I am in need of an update...

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -
Has to be littlefoot, he is and always will be the character I can relate to the most.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -
If we hold on together along with the entire score of the first movie

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -
You're one of us now
However I can't remember any songs past the second movie's so this isn't exactly true.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -
The original by far is my favorite.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -
I have to re watch all of the sequels, but I seem to remember 3 to be my least favorite out of the first 5.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
The most memorable moment to me is when littlefoot's mother dies.  When he's talking to her it always makes me begin to tear up.

Guess I'll post in this too. Been meaning to for a bit.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character: That would be Pterano! He's very complex and I really like the whole "redemption" character type. Someone who's not all good or not all bad, but has their own complexities and makeup that cause them to be very unique.

2.) Least Liked Land Before Time Character: Uhhhh... well I haven't seen films XI to XIII, though those seem to garner some of the votes here, character wise. I haven't seen the show either, though I'd like to. I guess I'll just have to get back to you on this one, as I can't think of a character off the top of my head that I really outright dislike.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song: Probably "If We Hold On Together". Diana Ross was amazing, though I guess... "Very Important Creature" might come in as a close second. XD

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song: I really need to rewatch the series in order to get a feel for which song I don't actually like. I haven't seen pretty much all of them in years (though working on changing that) so yeah.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film: Hmmm, 7! I don't honestly think it beats out the original, as that really is my favorite, but in terms of sequels, I like seven by far. It was sort of a reawakening of the series for me, and brought brief life back into it before the movies started sliding once again into unmemorable bits for me.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film: 6 probably. It just wasn't very memorable for me, and is the one I can recall the least amount about. I basically thought 1-3 were pretty good, 4 and 5 were OK, 6 I just didn't like, 7 was great, 8 and 9 were... alright I guess. 10 was good, and well, never saw 11-13.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment: Oh jeez. There's lots for me. XD I'll get back to this later. I'd probably narrow it down to scenes from the first, third, and seventh films though, as those are my top three.

1. Most liked Land Before Time character: Rinkus. I like the way throughout the film he seems like the typical dumb, comic relief character, but then towards the end you find out he has a more intelligent, calculating side.
I really liked Guido as well.

2. Least liked Land Before Time character: Mo. I can't stand his voice.

3. Most liked song: I don't really like any of the songs but my favourite peice of music is 'Foraging for Food' from the original score. And 'If We Hold on Together'.

4. Least liked song: I'm not a big fan of any of the songs but one that I really don't like is 'Flip, Flap and Fly'  (I think that's what it's called). Urgh.

5. Most liked film: The first one for sure. The seventh comes a close second.

6. Least liked film: 'Wisdom of Friends'.  :x

7. Most memorable moment: The scene where Littlefoot's mother dies, or when Littlefoot is wandering around alone just after her death.

1. Most liked LBT character: Mo...I just love him. Fun, nice, brave...he's the best LBT character!!!
2. Least liked: yellowbellies...(vomiting uncontrollably)
3. Most liked LBT song: "If we hold on together".
4. Least liked LBT SONG: I haven't heard yellow belly bounce entirely (and never intend to) but I'm pretty  it's the worst. If by some slim chance it's not then definitely imaginary friends.
5. Most liked LBT film: "The Time of The Great Giving".
6. Least favorite LBT film: 13, which I never intend to see.
7. Most memorable LBT moment: Oh gosh...I'm gonna have to say, either, "Big, big big big water" or when the bird and the crocodile started singing in movie 4, lol!!  :lol

1. Most liked LBT character: SQUISHY!- I call Ducky my squishy. I like her because she's really nice, and she cares for her friends & family. And I have a soft spot for little guys.  :)

2.Least liked LBT character: Yellowbellies. No common sense and no seriousness at all. If they were my group partners I'd die.

3. Most liked LBT song: If we Hold on Together. My fave song ever since I was five, and ai don't plan on changing.

4. Least liked LBT song: Oops Eeps and everything else with the same tune.

5. Most liked LBT film: 1st one, of course. No competition.

6. Least liked LBT film: 13th. I don't need to say why.

7.Most memorable LBT moment: Hug at the end of the original. I love hugs like those. :wub  :wub  :wub

Well,lets see

1. Most liked LBT character: Cera.I like her personality.Tough and headstrong, but becomes kind and soft if there's the time for it.Oh,and sarcasm is cool.I also like her species, the triceratops.I watched a lot of film about dinosaurs, and every paleontologist said that a triceratops had bigger chances to win against a t-rex in 1v1 than the t-rex.

2.Least liked LBT character:Ichy.I don't like the way he acts during the fourth
 film.

3. Most liked LBT song:The lone dinosaur

4. Least liked LBT song:Imaginary Friend

5. Most liked LBT film:Suprise! The first one   :p

6. Least liked LBT film:after a lot of thinking,the ninth.I don't hate it,but it's the one I least like.

7.Most memorable LBT moment:When cera accidentally brings down a tree to the big crocodile (probably a deinosuchuc?) who was chasing them. The look of the croc's face is unforgattable, like "aww not again!.....just leave me alone" :DD .He had a hard day, just before that a big longneck stepped on his head.

Also, the fight between litlefoot and cera in the first fim.

2. STRUT from the second movie...so annoying
Gaaaahhh?? :o Y U say that? lol jk, to each his own ;) just kinda ironic that Strut is one of my fave charries^^

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character (s) -
Strut and Pterano :)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -
Don't have one

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -
Oh, this is a toughie: I like Good Inside, Eggs, Friends For Dinner, Lone Dinosaur, When You're Big, Flip Flap Fly, One of A Kind, Boring Song, and If We Hold On Together (so in short, everything!! :lol)

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -
Hm, Tough in LBT 3. Topps, why you gotta be such a jerk? I know you're upset over the water level, but controlling others' water consumption to the extreme is not the way to do it

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -
Stone of Cold Fire, Great Valley Adventure, Journey Through the Mists, Great Day of the Flyers, Journey to Big Water

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -
Big Freeze. It wasn't long after Pterano, and he wasn't even mentioned!! Also, I don't like parts of Mysterious Island, esp. when it's decided that the groups should split up. Also, I would have expected the gang to run into Strut and Ozzy SOMETIME while out in the Mysterious Beyond... Egg-Stealers are fast little buggers! :x

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
Pterano saves Ducky and FINALLY accepts responsibility
Ali's herd leaving (and that blasted: ...But that's another story!)
The tear-jerking ending of the first film *awwww* :DD

Wow, didn't know there was a Strut fan.   Well, it's just his sense of humour and his attitude toward the little ones that make me dislike him.  Sorry if I offended you...

It's all good, sorry if I sounded like I blew up... I really didn't mean it like that, I was just kidding :)
I agree with you though, about his attitude getting nasty (:cry) but idk, Strut just seems to lazy and easy-going to hold a grudge for long. You can tell he's a little leery on continuing with the egg-hunt, and I guess the quickest way for him to pin the blame of his frustration and annoyance was on the kids... lol my charry analysis.

Strut is also the one of the two who apparently wouldn't have a major problem with living on a diet of green food. However, he is also the one who came up with the idea of murdering Littlefoot by throwing him from the great wall.

So true.  Maybe he tried to have some sort of villainous appeal, and came up with that idea to make it clearly obvious.  Just a thought.

Most liked LBT character: Ozzy and Strut, (sorry, I can't decide on which I like the most)! DX

Least liked LBT character: Overall, Topsy. I'm sorry if you're a fan of his, but to me it just seems that he grew more and more unlikable as the series progressed...

Most liked LBT song: Eggs, especially the remix version of it I found; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsXl-6JmcFE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsXl-6JmcFE)

Least liked LBT song: When You're Big, really I don't get why so many people like it...

Most liked LBT film: No surprise, but the first one. As far as the sequels go, the second and seventh would have to be my only favorites.

Least liked LBT film: The thirteenth one. Need I say more on why I hate it?

Most memorable Land Before Time moment: When they all finally reached the Great Valley at the end of the first one.

I've always thought Strut only did that in order to impress his brother, not to mention being under Ozzy's bad influence.

And is it just me, or does it seem like Strut wouldn't have the heart to actually hurt anyone? I've always felt that way with him.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot, hands down. As a kid, he was probably the most influential cartoon character for me. I mean, come on! For one, he was a dinosaur, secondly, he was a leader, and finally, he was a strong, independent kid who wasn't afraid to do what was right. That was inspiring stuff!

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I'll have to go with Shorty. Not that I have anything against him, it's just that he's way too easily ticked-off.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "The Rescue/Discovery of the Valley" by James Horner.

But...

If it has to be a vocal song, then I'd have to go with "Best of Friends," or "Always There." I'm kind of a sucker for emotional songs like that.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Me and My Dad," simply because it brings out the worst in Alec Medlock's singing voice (Littlefoot). I also thought it was just a bit too.. cheery? I don't know, but it sounded overly syrupy to me. The concept was good. The execution... not so much.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first, obviously.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Well, I haven't seen them all, but of the ones I have seen, I'd probably have to go with the Big Freeze. Sure, snow was a new thing, but for some reason, the whole film kind of bored me.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Definitely the instant when Littlefoot's mother rears back on the ridge to nail the Sharptooth in the face. That's a classic dinosaur pose, and even though that fight probably never happened, it's the stuff of every dino-nut's dreams. I almost died, I was so overwhelmed by the awesomeness of that shot when I first saw the movie!

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Chomper, I always have a thing for carnivores, and for them to add a baby t-rex was genius, the only bad thing about him in the 5th movie was him naively thinking his parents wouldn't hurt Littlefoot. I always liked him.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Topsy, well in the first part of the series, 1-2 he was a b****, in 3 he was the most awful, but he began to improve after that. After 11, he became much more likeable.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Adventuring, I like action songs.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Feel so Happy, my God how I hated that song.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Great Longneck Migration

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The Wisdom of Friends, who doesn't hate that garbage?  :x

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - We will always be your friends in 10.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Normally I would say Petrie, but it depends, really--he was definitely my favorite in the original and in the earlier sequels, but they seemed to dumb him down a bit later on, which was frustrating.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I don't really have a specific least favorite. Although I find Ducky's mom a little annoying sometimes... lol.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - The theme from LBT I.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - I'm not sure. Most of the later ones.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The Land Before Time I.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Hard to say. LBT X was the most recent I've seen. I guess "Journey to Big Water"... just because it didn't seem like very much happened.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The ending of the first movie, when they finally find the Valley.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Petrie, because of his comedy and his cute voice, though Ducky comes in a close second.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Can't decide, because I haven't seen most of the movies yet.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Difficult to decide. Either "Always There", "No One Has to Be Alone", "Bestest Friends", or "If We Hold on Together". Probably the latter.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Imaginary Friends. Four words: BIG-LIPPED ALLIGATOR MOMENT! Plus Petrie is rather off on this. Can't believe Jeff Bennett even voices this character. Johnny Bravo, you've done better!

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - First one always wins. Don't own any of the sequels yet, except for 4. I have seen 3, but it's been quite a while since I have so I don't know.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - What I said above.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Basically, the first movie in general. From the epic sharptooth fights to the gang finding the Great Valley, everything about it is great and memorable.

I'll probably do a second take on this when I've seen all the movies, and probably the episodes of the TV series.

1. Most liked Land Before Time character - Petrie and Spike Petrie: Because he tries very hard like I do in this world to be respected and liked. Spike: Because he is a very good and laid back character and he is very loyal to his friends. LittleFoot: I give him credit he is strong and very determined witch you don't see in a lot of characters.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Cera sometimes because I hate how she is stuck up and she is quite annoying as well. But she also has a soft side to her witch makes me not hate her that much.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Family, Best Friends, How Do You Know, Flip Flap Fly, If Only, Girls And Dad's, Adventuring, If We Hold On Together, Good Inside, Beyond The Mysterious Beyond, Lone Dinosaur, No One Has To Be Alone, One Of Us Now, Standing Tough, It Takes All Sorts, On Your Own Peaceful Valley,Things Change

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - When You're Big, Eggs, Eeps Oops, Yellow Belly Dance, Imaginary Friends Bad Luck, Big Water, Friends For Dinner, Mad Song, Stoopid Stompers, One of a Kind

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Number One, III, X,

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Movie 13 was god awful. The worst piece of garbage ever to be made.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The Death Of Little Foots Mother. I cried my eyes when when I first say that as a kid. I still get teary eyed and I'm 27 years old. And the flash back part at the end I cry almost every time I see that part.

I'll have a go!

1) My favourite character is, and has been for a long time, Chomper. I loved him the moment he was introduced. The fact that he is a sharptooth is an interesting plot device which should have been tackled more often, and in the second film he was simply adorable!  :DD

2) My least favourite characters are the yellow bellies. Need I say anything more?  :bang

3) My favourite LBT song is probably the original If We Hold On Together, though I do also like the catchy villain numbers like Eggs, Who Needs You and Very Important Creature. I also like Beyond the Mysterious Beyond and the deeper songs like Bestest Friends and No One Has To Be Alone. All in all, quite a few of them... :smile

4) My least favourite is (probably) the coonstant reprising of Adventuring in the TV series. To start off with it was fine, but when they constantly sing it, with more off-key melodies each time, it starts to get old.

5) My favourite film is obviously the first one, but my other favourites include V, VII and X.

6) My least favourite is 13.

7) For me, one of the most memorable LBT moments is when Littlefoot's mother showed up on the first film to battle the Sharptooth, or possibly on the second film when they discover they have a sharptooth egg.

I like to think that way^^
It seems really out of his character to do that, anyways, because he wasn't the violent type. Just the way he got all defensive and then started blaming the Gang for losing the egg went to show that he was trying his best to avoid Ozzy's wrath :p

Don't worry, Ducky123. I missed it too  :smile

1. Chomper, followed very closely by Littlefoot
2. Hmm... I'm going to go with the Yellow Bellies. But because they're such popular characters to hate, I'll give my second least favorite: Scuttle from the TV show. He is a TALKING CRAB. He's also an unsympathetic jerk, but I have to be honest, that part of his personality I actually like... but then again, that might have just been something lifted from Mr. Crabs.
3. 'Always There', followed by 'Peaceful Valley' and 'You're One of Us Now'
4. 'The Mad Song'. It was a little funny, but... yeah, it felt kind of stupid. I didn't like 'Bad Luck' as a kid, but it's grown a little on me.
5. Aside from the first movie, it'd be the fifth, the second film being a close third.
6. Aside from the thirteenth-- and I know this might be a controversial choice-- I actually didn't like film eight. It felt the least compelling, like it could have taken place in ANY animated movie. I also wasn't completely thrilled by film nine either, although it's started to grow on me since.
7. For me, it's the moment when Chomper is walking away, crying, after finding out his friends still don't trust him, and Littlefoot comes running behind him to comfort him-- only to be interupted by a funny moment with Chomper's mom.

Post by: The Anonymous Person on August 17, 2013, 09:43:31 PM
Being as I have now seen all of the movies (along with 3 episodes of the TV series), I am ready to give this a second go. So...

1. Petrie, followed by Ducky. I'm threatening to put Ruby on the list as well, but I'll have to wait for that. Anyways:

Petrie is...well, to put it simply, just plain fun. I knew he would be my favorite   character when I viewed the first movie last year. Oddly enough, he happens to be the reason why I love Land Before Time in the first place. Although he may not be very self-confident at times, he shines when he really needs to, and like almost everyone else, he is very loyal and trustworthy to his friends, both of which I can relate to. I also love his squeaky voice and cute giggle of his. Plus...am I one of the few members here who actually likes hearing him sing? Let's not forget the fact I can pull off a good impression of him, as well as some other characters. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.

As for Ducky, what can one say about her? She is a very cute character who can lighten up anyone's spirit when needed. Who could ever forget her "yep yep yep" catchphrase? Plus, the term "Damsel in Distress" seems to fit best for her, as she seems to be the "perfect" character in most cases.

2. It's pretty tough to choose, but there are a few:

Shorty (at first) and (to a much lesser extent) Cera, mainly because...well, let's face it, I hate braggarts. Shorty pretty much acted like a punk when he first appeared, but toward the end, we could clearly see why. Cera shows confidence when she needs to. Sure, she can be a bit arrogant (particularly in movie eleven *cringes*) and attempts to show that she is fearless when she really isn't, but at the same time, she is very brave. Mr. Threehorn is listed as well, for obvious reasons.

Ozzy from movie two is also a good example, particularly because I feel it was wrong to treat his sibling as if he were a slave. Sure, Ozzy wants to eat eggs and Strut wants to eat greens, but having Ozzy command his own brother to stick to his own diet? Wrong in my book.

3. If We Hold On Together, Always There, Standing Tough (to an extent), No One Has To Be Alone, Bestest Friends, The Lesson, Things Change, and many more.

4. Frankly, I don't hate any song in the movies. However, if I had to pick one, it would be Imaginary Friends, mainly because of the fact that the song had little to no impact on the plot, though it has grown on me since I first posted here.

5. First movie always wins. For sequels, a three-way tie between movies 7, 9 and 10.

6. 13; not because of the yellowbellies (whom, yet bizarre, are actually not that bad to an extent), but because I felt that barely anything happened in it. It simply happens, then it's over. To me, this situation is quite awkward. I can tell why the franchise was killed after this.

7. Everything about the first movie, basically.

Aaaaand that's all. I hope to do one more take when I've seen all the episodes of the TV series.

I haven’t seen the 10th, 11th or the 13th films yet so this might change once I’ve seen them:

1) Most liked Land Before Time character –  Tie between Petrie and Ducky, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Petrie, because he is the funniest by far. Even his poor speech skills are highly amusing and normally characters who talk like that tend to annoy me.

2) Least liked Land Before Time character – Erm, not really sure, I wouldn’t say I disliked any of them. I’m tempted to say the Sharptooth since he is the villain but you aren’t really meant to like him so that goes without saying.

3) Most liked Land Before Time song –  I’ll be unpopular and say Flip, Flap and Fly from Great Day of the Flyers, really great and fun song and is the only LBT song I have on my phone.

4) Least liked Land Before Time song – Too many to list, the music really isn’t one of the positive points for the franchise as a whole for me. Basically any song other than Flip Flap and Fly, If We Hold On Together and possibly Peaceful Valley, is a song that I don’t really like.

5) Most liked Land Before Time film – The original, definitely. I love the sequels and the series but the original 1988 is miles beyond any of them in terms of animation, story, score and everything.

6) Least liked Land Before Time film – Don’t really dislike any of them but the 8th is probably the one I’ve been the most bored by.

7) Most memorable LBT moment – Probably the birth of Littlefoot from the original, one of the most adorable and heartwarming things ever animated. I would honestly watch a full 90-minute film of just the dinosaurs as babies frolicking about.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -  Ruby.  I always felt that although Ruby was sociable, she also had an introspective side that I could relate to.  Furthermore, her many hardships (caring for Chomper, avoiding conflict with the Great Valley residents due to her omnivores nature, missing her family, etc.) made her a complex character that unfortunately was not completely developed in the television series.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -  Rhett.  Lets see... An arrogant braggart who (when confronted by an actual sharptooth) runs off to get help and abandons his female friend.  There is not exactly a lot to like in this character.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together.  This song (along with Always There) confront serious topics as opposed to the sillier and softer songs that are typical of the sequels.  The song also beautifully encapsulates the main theme of the first film.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Oops Eeps.  A very ludicrous song that is indicative of the younger demographic they were trying to cater to in the television series.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original.  None of the sequels even come close.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The thirteenth.  Just one word: yellowbellies!

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -  The death of Littlefoot's mother.  This is by far one of the most heart-wrenching and emotional scenes ever placed in an animated film.

1. I cannot say that I have a most liked character.

2. Not a least liked one either. (Plated Sharptooth, if I have to chose one, pretty mean.)

3. I do really love If We Hold On Together.

4. Don't have one.

5. The first one.

6. None at this moment.

7. Littlefoot's Mother's death and discovering the great valley, that ending music.

I can never pick just one thing I like.

Most liked Land Before Time character - CERA!:) I know she's not exactly nice at times, but I love her. I guess one reason is she's my favourite planet eating dinosaur, a triceratops. I also part of me like tomboyish girls.
I must admit though I liked her more when she was voiced by Candace Hutson in the first 4 films, she was a lot cuter back then.

Least liked Land Before Time character - Dinah and sodding Dana. Followed by Cera's dad. He his one of the worst dad's I've even seen in any media. All he dose is set really bad examples to Cera. I personally blame him for the way Cera is.

Most liked Land Before Time song - It takes all sorts and if we hold on together.

Least liked Land Before Time song - The mad song, friends for dinner and Big water.

Most liked Land Before Time film- The 4th film. It actually has some edge to it what with Littlefoot's grandpa becoming deathly ill. Also it was sadly the last one I actually enjoyed and had no problems with. Also the last one were Cera was voiced by her original VA Candy Hutson:(
Also another good thing for me is that Cera's bloody dad is not in it!:D Well sort of.

Least liked Land Before Time film - LBT 6, core reason the 2 annoying little sods Dinah and Dana. And what get me even more is the 6th film was originally going to be the last one! I also didn't like the 5th and 8th film much.

Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Now this is a tricky one, well once I can think up at the moment are the don't step on a crack scene from the 1st film, and the scene at the start of the 4th film were Cera butts a tree and all the leafs fall off she gives an embarrassed grin and "Hee".

Most liked Land Before Time character: Littlefoot is my favorite character. Even though he acted out of character in The Land Before Time 11, he was still shown to be a great leader in the other films. I like that he was willing to risk his neck for his friends.

Least liked Land Before Time character: I can't think of one character I don't like since I like all of them.

Most liked Land Before Time song(s):
The only song I like from Land Before Time 1: If We Hold On Together
Songs from Land Before Time 2: Eggs and the end credits version of Peaceful Valley
Songs from Land Before Time 3: When You're Big, Standing Tough and Kids Like Us
The only song I like from Land Before Time 4: Who Needs You?
Songs from Land Before Time 5: Big Water and Always There
The only song I like from Land Before Time 6: Bad Luck
Songs from Land Before Time 7: Beyond The Mysterious Beyond, Good Inside and Very Important Creature
The only song I like from Land Before Time 8: Family
Songs from Land Before Time 9: The Boring song and No One Has To Be Alone (movie version)
Songs from Land Before Time 10: Adventuring and Bestest Friends
The only song I like from Land Before Time 11: Girls and Dads
The only song I like from Land Before Time 12: Things Change
The only song I like from Land Before Time 13: How Do You Know?

Least liked (kinda hate) Land Before Time song(s): It Takes All Sorts, Creepy Crawlies, Say So, Yellow Belly Dance.

Most liked Land Before Time film(s): Land Before Time 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Least liked Land Before Time film: Land Before Time 11

Most memorable Land Before Time moment(s): The entire first Land Before Time movie is memorable for me.  :p  :wave  :)

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -   Chomper (hero)/ Sierra (villain)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Rhett (he gets in the way of Ali) (heroish) / Rinkus (villain)   (Note, not too thrilled with Bron and his disappearing act either)

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -  It Takes All Sorts  or Friends for Dinner (not sure which one I like more)

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -  Eggs (perhaps, as I didn't like the tune)

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -  Mysterious Island

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -  Secret of Saurus Rock

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -  There are many.   I'll have my top 10.

1.)  One of my favorites is when Guido tells Topps to not keep going forward, Topps says he doesn't care and will go anyway and does and falls into mud.  Topps gets laughed at and then glares at Guido.  Guido, wanting to please Topps, jumps into the mud himself.  Topps, annoyed, says "Great, just what we need, another weirdo."  and then Grandpa Longneck says that he wishes Grandma had been here to see this.

2.) Littlefoot going to save Chomper in the water.

3.)  Petrie (to Pterano): "I no understand why you do this!"
Rinkus: "None of your business you little gnat, now buzz off!" (Rinkus knocks Petrie out of the sky) "He he he-" (Pterano whaps him)
Pterano: "If there's one thing I will not tolerate, it's violence!"
Rinkus: "Then why are you hitting me?"
Pterano: "Right, make that two things. Violence, and stupid questions." (Whaps Rinkus again)

4.)  Ducky going Gollum on Sky Color Stones.  That is just so not like her that it sticks out in my memory.

5.)  Cera : So bye.  I'm heading out to the Mysteirous Beyond to see if I can get eaten by a Sharptooth.
Topps : Ok, don't be late.

Tria : Have fun.

6.)  Ichy: How nice! Dessert! Head for the shore; my sweet tooth called.
Dil: Ichy, you know the routine. Dinner first, then dessert!
Ichy: What are you, my mother?

7.)  When they are arguing about whether to jump on a "log" that is actually a belly dragger.

8.)  Chomper being nice to Thud and helping him out and then Thud returns the favor

9.)  Cera:  Longnecks saved the world... this is gonna kill my dad!

10.)  After Chomper's mother leaves, Littlefoot asked Chomper what she said and Chomper says "She told me not to play with my food."

What did you mean by "Rhett gets in Ali's way"?
Title: Getting to know you - LBT Style
Post by: Ducky123 on January 01, 2015, 10:32:54 AM
^He's a fan of Littlefoot and Ali becoming a couple so, since Rhett kind of demands Ali's full attention so that Littlefoot and Ali can't really spend time together, he really prevents that they can become a couple (which is more than unlikely to happen in any future movie anyway... it's not that I wouldn't like to see that happen though....). Just my guess. At least that's how I perceive it as I do like Ali and Littlefoot as a pairing too...

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot for sure, if any of them could be said to be 'dragon hearted' its him, strong willed, brave but not recklass, and also loyal.
Chomper is cool to but if ti weren't for Littlefoot he'd just be another sharptooth.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - hard to say not really sure  :confused

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - Probably if we hold on together

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Not really sure been too long since i watched them to say which was the worst maybe that one Hyp did about being big in III oh and the lone dinosaur one in VI :confused

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - oh boy this is a toughy I cant say for sure which is at the very top but of the ones I've seen I,II,IV,V are my favorites

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - 13 I haven't nor do I ever want to see it

1) Cera, she's awesome
2) Of the main 5, Petrie. He's sort of annoying to me. Of the more minor characters, I hated the teredactyls from 7.
3) Love so many, my top 3 are probably Adventuring, Always There, and Bestest Friends
4) Hmm, probably Flip Flap and Fly, Good Inside, and Very Important Creature. It's been a long long time since I've seen 8 but I don't remember the songs in it being very good either.
5) Love 5 and 10, 9 is pretty good too
6) 12 bored me a lot but the song "Things Change" made it manageable. I think 7 is my least favorite.
7) Not sure, but what I remembered best from my childhood before getting back into LBT recently was the "Friends For Dinner" song haha

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -

Tough one! Really close call for me between Littlefoot and Cera. Littlefoot because he's so compassionate and thoughtful and always tries to be open and nonjudgmental. Cera because I love her attitude and complex character, not to mention she always gives me a laugh. Oh, and Ducky too....I love her cheerfulness and optimism!

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character -

Hmm...well Sharptooth from Land Before Time 1 for killing Littlefoot's mom.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song -

Probably "If We Hold Together", especially when its sung by Anndi and Aria. My other favorites include "It Takes All Sorts", "Always There", "Bestest Friends". I frequently listen to these songs while not watching the movies.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song -

Definitely "Oops Eeps" from the TV series. But from the movies, probably "The Lone Dinosaur" or "When You're Big". They just don't do anything for me and sometimes I skip through them.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -

Tie for me between Journey of the Mists and Mysterious Island, primarily because I love the plots and mood of both movies. Great Valley Adventure, Big Freeze, and Great Longneck Migration are my other favorite sequels.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -

Invasion of the Tinysauruses, I think--I didn't care for the songs, thought the plot was pretty weak, and I thought the characters acted really out of character. I haven't watched Wisdom of Friends though, and I'm not sure if I ever want to.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

Littlefoot finding the Great Valley for sure; that scene made me tear up with happiness. From the sequels it would probably be Ali and Cera singing together in "It Takes All Sorts".

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot for me. His brave, adventurous, and fun-loving attitude has always been an inspiration to me in my childhood and I always strove to be like him back then. I still have a bit of that attitude in me.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - The Yellowbellies, all group in one. Nothing else to say about that.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Honestly, I've always skipped over the songs back in my LBT heyday and I've only started paying attention to them recently whenever I re-watch my old movies. So, this has been selected from an awfully small pool of songs, but "Adventuring" from LBT 10 will have to do. It's always been catchy to me in my childhood.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - None so far. Like I said, the pool of songs I can remember is pretty small.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - LBT 10. It was and is my favorite LBT film. I can still remember how shocked I was when Bron was revealed to be Littlefoot's father. It made the film even more interesting to me. Plus, I felt it had the most action and adventure out of all the LBT films (excluding the first one, but the whole Bron reveal thing put it on the top of the list over the first one in my opinion) and that made it even more appealing to me.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - LBT 13. Such a big letdown, especially with the Yellowbellies.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The death of Littlefoot's mother. I remember being so confused on exactly how she died, over any other emotion. Now that I watch it again, it's such a sad scene to me.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - It's hard to pick just one, haha...probably Sierra. I've always loved his "I'm evil and proud of it!" attitude, especially considering the unfortunate lack of competent antagonists in the sequels. The way that he just casually suggests feeding the main 5 to the sharpteeth was pretty damn creepy; LBT really needs more villains like him. And he's a major badass, lol.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - The yellow bellies...ugh. Dinah and Dana were also pretty obnoxious, and I'm not fond of Mr. Threehorn, either.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "If We Hold On Together," "Very Important Creature," "Always There," and "Who Needs You?"

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Imaginary Friends" is cringeworthy tbh; same goes for "Yellow Belly Bounce."

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Nothing beats the original, obviously. Out of the sequels, my favorites are VII and IV.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - XIII

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When Littlefoot sees the vision of his mother in the clouds in the first movie

Wait...I never answered this?? Hold on...   :sducky  :bang

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Cera, definitely!

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Probably Chomper, at least after LBT 2. He was fine in LBT 2. :)

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Other than "If We Hold On Together", I'd say Bestest Friends. It's positioned in such a pivotal point of the series and was one of the most recent truly tear-jerking moments the series had for me.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Quite a few, to be honest. :lol
Who Needs You
Good Inside
Imaginary Friends
Girls and Dads
Basically, any song that sounds like....well, those. :p

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - LBT 2 and LBT 4. LBT 3 comes in close, too. I definitely prefer the early sequels.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Oooh, an easy one! 13! :p
Okay, other than that silly movie, probably.... hmmmmmmm....
LBT 5 was pretty clunky in the opening and the second half. I didn't care for it that much.
I'd also put LBT 7 in there because of the whole "aliens are canon now" thing. Oh boy... I really wish they kept their nature mysterious rather than revealing their origins so it would parallel how we know nothing of life on other worlds. They really dropped the ball on that one IMO.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
Alright, this one is hard but when I think "LBT" and "fond memories", the first scene to come to mind is the entire sequence in LBT 2 when the Gang meets up at night, talk about being grown-ups and proceed to chase down the eggnappers. That entire scene up until the next morning is probably the most vivid in my mind and one of the first images to come to my mind when someone says "LBT".

Most liked Land Before Time character: I'd probably say Littlefoot but I really like Chomper and Ruby too. I like his curiosity and sense of responsibility.

Least liked Land Before Time character: The Yellowbellies obviously but other than that, Tria and Tricia. I don't find any good points about Tria and I just find Tricia trying to be too cute.

Most liked Land Before Time song: After If We Hold on Together, probably Always There. I also really liked Today's the Day. Always There is melodically very nice and it's lyrics are great. Today's the Day has a great video and it begins the film excellently.

Least liked Land Before Time song: Probably Me and My Dad or Creepy Crawlies. Ugh...

Most liked Land Before Time film: I'd go with Stone of Cold Fire, after the first one of course. Very good plot and new characters.

Least liked Land Before Time film: 13 but other than that, 11. The story was kinda good but the tinysauruses and Tria destroyed it. Also, Littlefoot wasn't quite himself most of the time.

Most memorable Land Before Time moment: Hmm, the scene where the Gang finds the Rainbowfaces near the end of movie 7 and the elevator scene. For some reason that was one of the memorable moments for me. Of course there are many others.

Haven't done this at all and I feel a little bad so here I go

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -Petrie. He's hilarious and nervous about everything. He is such a nerd though Cera has grown onto me, especially in the 5th one. I used to hate how arrogant and rude she was when I was younger but I realized she's quite the badass as I rewatched the movies.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character-I don't really dislike anyone in the franchise

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song- Oh gosh, well, I would have to say Bad Luck(too catchy) and Adventuring(another one that's an encouraging one) I can't also forget If We Hold on Together. Breathtaking

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Pretty much all of the songs in the TV series. They all just sound to repetitive to me.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film-
The first one of course and my favorite sequel its a tie between the 6th and 7th. They both had  plotlines that didn't necessarily overuse the Mysterious Beyond setting alot.  And also the 10th. They were the three that also did not have a real/serious conflict.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film-
Invasion of the Tinysauruses. I hated how everyone was against Littlefoot in this particular one and those tinysauruses was all his excuse to not be blamed :x

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -  Definitely the end scene of the original where the characters officially became the "gang of five" in the Great Valley.  The sequels, too hard to decide.

Post by: Gentle Sharptooth on April 17, 2017, 09:22:15 AM
1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Petrie

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - For reoccurring character it would have to be Topsy or Mr. Threehorn. He moody, and really inconsistent. In LBTIII he is like the water Gestapo, but when Tria arrives he acts like teenager, and now suddenly he's back to the Original two dimensional character of Mr. grumpy pants. It's these inconsistencies of character that make me dislike him, its hard to like someone who the writers keep changing and do not keep his character development on track.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "It Takes All Sorts"  While definitely about diversity and dispelling prejudice, I see allusions to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 12:15-26).

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Better Off Alone" this is so inconsistent with the Land Before Time franchise, the Gang of Five has always needed each other through thick and thin. The only time this song would have worked is in the Original when Little Foot and Cera feuded and even hated each other. By now, the Gang has entered a groove and should know by now, they've survived countless perils because of each other. Ironically, this is the antithesis of my favorite song.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - "The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave" with "Journey Through Mists" as close runner up.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - "The Land Before Time: The Stone of Coldfire" Simple, "because of aliens." (History Channel).

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When Petrie becomes king of the diggers (LBT XIV: Journey of the Brave). Petrie has always behaved like the runt, and since the Original he has behaved like one with an inferiority complex or at least hyper insecurity and nerves. He gets so belittled and abused by family (brothers and sisters) in The Great Day of Flyers. It was refreshing to see Petrie in a more dignified, regal, and even confident persona. While certainly this borrowed from Sid the Sloth's side story with the min-sloths in "Ice Age: The Melt Down", Petrie wearing a Cesar like leaf circlet or crown is priceless.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - no competition: :)littlefoot

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Topps. In the whole series. Even after he became more "good" in last movies - his character is still faaaaar from me. And I still didn't forgive him (like I did with Cera). For me, I like him even leasr than such villains like eggstealers brothers and flyers criminals.

2.5) unique character: The most HATED so LIKED character: Original Sharptooth. what.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "If we hold on together". No (almost) competition.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - srsl, a lot of them. I can't choose one.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Nothing can beat original. If you ask me for sequel: well... Land Before Time 5. (Land Before Time 4 is very close)

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - hmm... hmm... hmmmmm... Land Before Time 6. O_o Even with some of sequels are very very close.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - For original - Sharptooth's attack, Earthquake and Littlefoot's mother death sequence. For sequel - I would say - Littlefoot finds his father in LBT10 (since I'm very close to his character). And also: meting Chomper in island.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - It's hard to pick just one. Probably Littlefoot and Petrie.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Probably the yellow bellies. Scuttle got on my nerves a little too but he was fun at least.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -  If We Hold On Together

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Adventuring and I'm So Happy...they got really repetitive in the TV series

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The original

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The yellow belly one

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Probably watching it in the theater at about age 6

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -  Hmmm, it's a hard question, but I think if I had to pick only one, it would definitely be Ruby, followed by Ducky. I also like the sharpteeth as well.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Rhett for sure. I don't think I need to explain why...

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together, also, I love the whole soundtrack of the original movie. James Horner really did knew how to compose great soundtracks, he will be missed :(

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Feel So Happy, it's just terribly overused, along with Oops Eeps and Adventuring, the former being too childish for my liking, the latter being even more overused.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first one, of course. Nothing comes even close! :DD

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The Great Longneck Migration, I just didn't like it for some reason. Not that the 13th movie is any better....

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - When, in the first movie, Ducky finds out that no harm came to Petrie (other than being a bit soaked :p) after Sharptooth dragged him with him into the water.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - I'm a mainstream Littlefoot fan. He's brave, clever, and loveable :)

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - Ozzy. He's a jerk, doesn't care about the feelings and/or personality of his own brother. He's violent, short-tempered and stupid.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - Dinosaur! His tail was swift as lighting!
Dinosaur! His heart was brave and pure!
Dinosaur! Whenever times were frightening. Call his name and he'd be there for sure.
Lone dinosaur.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - The mad song from the Big Freeze.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first one of course. ^^

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - I watched at least 3 times both The day of the flyers and the attack of the little longnecks and I still have no idea what they were about, so I'd guess they are, but honestly, I love them all ^^

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - In the first movie when Littlefoot is about to give up, but follows the fading memory of his mother through some rocks and the light starts shining over the area below which reveals to be the great valley. Tears everytime T_T

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - That's obvious: Littlefoot. Ducky and Chomper are tied for #2.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - It's a toss-up between Rhett and Hyp, and I doubt I have to explain why.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - This is kind of a tough one since I'm the one lone hipster who actually likes LBT music, but I'd have to go with Beyond the Mysterious Beyond

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - OOPS EEPS!!! :bang
As for my least favorite sequel (not TV series) song, I'd have to go with either Imaginary Friend, The Mad Song, or Say So.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - Definitely the original

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Wisdom of Friends. Another thing that makes me kind of a maverick in the fandom is the fact that I really don't hate that one. Still, it's solidly my least favorite

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - That's a tough one for me, but right now the Gang finding the Great Valley springs to my mind
Title: Getting to know you - LBT Style

I probably should have done this last month, but here I go!

1. Most liked Land Before Time character: Petrie! Obviously! Right next to Ducky, of course, being the sweetest of them all, but Petrie was always my favorite by just a bit because of his character traits, and the fact that some of them even develop as the series has progressed.

2. Least liked Land Before Time character: That would have to be Topps. From the first time I watched the first movie, I immediately looked at him with disdain because of how racist he tends to be. I could never stand his arrogance, and I guess he's the reason why I also used to look down on Cera for a while before I got over that.

3. Most liked Land Before Time song: "If We Hold On Together" and "We Will Always Be Your Friends."

4. Least liked Land Before Time song: I'm not very fond of the TV series using repetitive tunes, even with different lyrics. It just gets old very quickly. If I watch an episode on YouTube, I basically just skip the songs! LOL!

5. Most liked Land Before Time film: The first film, and the Stone of Cold Fire. I was almost going to say the Great Day of the Flyers, but that would probably lead you all to say that I'm Petrie-biased, and besides, it was pretty slow-paced, so it didn't quite make the cut here.

6. Least liked Land Before Time film: Wisdom of Friends. It was so bad that I didn't even bother to finish it.

7. Most memorable Land Before Time moment: Hmm, ... well, ... one moment that sticks out in my mind is the Gang finding the Great Valley at the end of the first film. I always get classic dinosaur vibes every time I watch that scene! It makes me feel like a kid again!

This has been on the back burner for too long.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character -
It's probably a tie between Littlefoot and Chomper. Ruby is the fast runner up.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character -
Dil & Ichy. While I find Ozzy and Strut's banter to be really funny I find Dil and Ichy's to be obnoxious. It's disappointing because I like the story behind the 4th movie but these villains kinda curb my enjoyment. I should mention that there are other characters that on their own I like less but they're in episodes or movies that I already dislike for other reasons as well.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song -
Bestest Friends for the movies. LBT 10 was the first new movie I watched after getting back into LBT. At that point I was still pretty unenthusiastic about the songs so I was completely off guard when this song showed up at the very end of the movie and blew me away.

Remembering for the TV series. Star Day Celebration was easily one of the standout episodes of the season. My whole attitude towards Ruby changed from indifferent to intrigued thanks in part to this song. I actually also like Feel so Happy in this episode as well because it seems to fit with the story (and the fact that it was the first time I heard the song).

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song -
Who Needs You is up there. I'm not a fan of the characters so I guess it stands that I'm not a fan of their song either.

For the TV series, probably the version of Feel so Happy that Doc sings as well. That's just...yikes. :sducky

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film -
Like everyone else the first one is my favourite but for the sake of variety I'm going to exclude it from the list. I'd probably have to go with LBT 5 as I've had the most memorable moments with that movie.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film -
Wisdom of Friends, but like my favourite movie I'm going to exclude this from the list as well. I would say it comes down to a tie between Invasion of the Tinysauruses and Secret of Saurus Rock. Both had characters I didn't like. Dinah and Danah were annoying and I wasn't a fan of the concept of Tinysauruses.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
While these aren't necessarily moments within the movies themselves, they're memorable moments that I've had related to LBT.

The first one was right around when 5 came out and walking into a Walmart and seeing a cardboard cut out of Chomper to advertise it's release. I loved Chomper in 2 so I was so happy to find out he was returning. I must have begged my mom to buy the movie. As far as I remember that was the most excited in terms of LBT.

The next one was several years later when I was in grade 7 or 8 and got back into LBT again. It all started when a friend was over at my house and we randomly decided to watch the first LBT and I had forgotten how good it was. After that we decided to watch the rest of them (well at least up to 8 that I had on VHS). We got around to watching them one night when we had a sleep over and we got up to 4 for the night. My friend insisted that I wake him up at 6am so we can watch 5 bright and early and I agreed. 6 am rolled around so I woke him up and put the movie on. Within minutes my friend has passed out and won't wake up so I ended up watching the whole movie by myself. As soon as I finished he waked up and asked if I would watch it again. So I rewound the movie (the good old days of having to rewind movies :p ) and watched it a second time.

In more recent times it was pretty surreal watching LBT14 for the first time. After nearly a decade since 13 I never imagined watching a new movie. Probably the most nostalgic part about it was hearing all the familiar music used. I remember being excited when the classic danger music played for the sharptooth escape.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -

Cera or Ducky. Can't choose because i really liked both of them. Chomper also comes pretty close.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character -

Either Mo or the Gang of Three: Hyp, Mutt and Nod

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song -

If We Hold On Together (some of the sequel ones are pretty nice too)

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song -

Don't have any hated songs, but again from the sequels just seem unnecessary for me.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -

The original (along with the sequels 2-5)

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -

Part IX

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

The Earthshake scene from the first film, because i remembered that scene vividly despite not seeing the movie for 15+ years. Otherwise, the one when the Gang finds the Great Valley. (it was really beautiful)

1. It's definitely between Petrie, Pterano, Wild Arms, Spike, Chomper, Doc, and Mr. Threehorn.
2. None to be exact. They're all good in my opinion.
3. Beyond the Mysterious Beyond and Eggs.
4. None. All good.
5. ALL OF THEM.
6. There is no bad one(Yes, XIII is good to me).
7. The Rescue from the Mountains That Burn, LBT 1.

1) Most liked Land Before Time character
Five years ago I would have answered Ducky, but Petrie slowly and stealthily wrestled that spot away from her. Still a very, very close one between the swimmer and flyer (nd the remainder of the gang, actually), however.

2) Least liked Land Before Time character
Hyp felt all bark and no bite. Time of Great Giving did give him a reason to be a bully at the very end, but... eh.

3) Most liked Land Before Time song
If We Hold On Together, basically the LBT main theme and Tavera's leitmotif of it in the sequels.

4) Least liked Land Before Time song
Imaginary Friends

5) Most liked Land Before Time film
The original film of course, but excluding that one, The Stone of Cold Fire.

6) Least liked Land Before Time film
Wisdom of Friends, as if that should be a surprise.

7) Most memorable Land Before Time moment
Gang of Five finding the Great Valley at the end of the film after close to 55 minutes of buildup.

1) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ducky, since she's cute, optimistic, brave, and sweet. Also Mo. :duckyhappy :Mo

2) Least liked Land Before Time character - Hyp and his gang.

3) Most liked Land Before Time song - Beyond the Mysterious Beyond, Big Water, Always There, Family, and No One Has To Be Alone (I actually like most of the songs).

4) Least liked Land Before Time song - Oops Eeps.

5) Most liked Land Before Time film - The first film of course, but other than that one, The Mysterious Island, The Stone of Cold Fire, The Big Freeze, Journey Through the Mists and Journey to Big Water.

6) Least liked Land Before Time film - Wisdom of Friends. (I don't hate it though.)

7) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - the Spike scene near the end of LBT 8.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot because of his personality and Chomper because of the dynamic he has with the rest of the group.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Hyp, Nod, and Mutt

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together, such a pretty song that always takes me back to my childhood. From the sequels probably: Beyond the Mysterious Beyond, Who Needs You, Big Water, and Always There.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Probably, Imaginary Friends.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - The original and The Mysterious Island

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - I haven't seen the 13th film, so I won't say the obvious, but probably Big Freeze is my least favorite.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Probably when we first see the Great Valley in the first movie.
Title: Re: Getting to know you - LBT Style
Post by: Nanotyrannus on December 01, 2018, 01:57:25 PM
1.) Most liked Land Before Time Character - Cera; though I thought she was at her best in the first movie (until the end where she redeems hereself, she's this irreverent, smack-talking little chump that I think is a really entertaining character - though, in the context of the first movie alone, I prefer Ducky), I think that she shines in her arc in the eleventh (only in the arc in the eleventh, I don't like how she's handled outside of it) and twelfth movies. I'm also fond of Topps (as an antagonist in the earlier movies, and more genuinely after X) and Etta.

1.5.) Most liked Land Before Time Sharptooth - Coming up with a category to say that I love Sharptooth himself - I don't think he's "evil" per-say, but he's this unstoppable, ferocious, terrifying force of nature that no other antagonist in the series - either predatory animal or proper villain - can even get close to matching.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time Character - Ignoring the obvious answer (the yellowbellies/Doofah), I don't like Dana and Dinah from the sixth movie at all; way too loud, way too squeaky and indistinguishable from one another character-wise; I don't want to dwell on negativity here, so moving on.

2.5.) Least liked Land Before Time Character - The tyrannosaurs from The Great Longneck Migration are laughable; gone are the days of jumping onto the backs of sauropods and leaving devastating wounds, this is a new era - our Rexes can be tripped by tiny little longnecks and don't leave so much as a mark when biting peoples' legs.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - "If We Hold On Together"; I don't think this is a very fair contest, though. Runner-ups are "Always There" and "Best of Friends".

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - The less said about "Imaginary Friend", the better. :confused

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - The Land Before Time;  I don't think it's perfect, but it's still a great, great movie. Journey Through the Mists is also pretty good.

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - Though The Great Valley Adventure and Journey to Big Water come close, I don't think there's any topping The Wisdom of Friends here.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - As odd and specific as this may be, the part of any of the movies that has stuck out to me the most is a brief shot during the earthquake scene in the original movie, where Sharptooth rears up on his hind legs, standing on a loose rock, surrounded by steam. I don't know exactly why this shot stood out to me so much since more first viewing of the movie, but, it did.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character
Ducky. She was my favorite as a kid and perhaps always will be. Cera is a close runner-up though!

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character
Ahhh I don't remember. I've been re-watching all of the movies (out of order, oops) since I haven't seen them in a while, but so far my least favorite is probably Mo. Fun characters are fun but it's never addressed that he doesn't know when to be serious and I just find that a bit annoying.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song
If We Hold On Together is the obvious answer. I'll say my second favorite is The Lesson - it really humanizes the characters. And because I am indecisive my other favorite is Always There. Made me cry when I rewatched.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song
Funnily enough, The Mad Song is probably my least favorite. Even though Ducky and Cera are my favorite characters and The Big Freeze is my favorite movie.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film
As I just said, The Big Freeze. Dunno why but it was my favorite when I was a kid.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film
Wisdom of Friends hands down. But the song Say So is super catchy, I'll admit.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment
I will never forget the scene in the first film where Littlefoot sees his shadow on the rock wall and thinks its his mother. Absolutely shattering to the soul. He gets so excited, the music even lifts up, and the moment he realizes :cry The narrator saying "and Littlefoot knew for certain that he was alone" breaks my heart.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -

Oh God, this is hard... it's a toss-up between Littlefoot, Cera, and Ducky, but I guess I have to go with Cera because she seems to be the one I most consistently want to know more about or see more of her subplots.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character -

Disqualifying the yellowbellies for being to easy, Mo. There are lots of annoying characters in the franchise, but Mo is literally like a Mary Sue in a poorly written fanfic. He's not just annoying, it's that once he comes onscreen the plot becomes almost entirely about him and not the actual main characters, and he never seems to genuinely need their help or have any moments of vulnerability that don't turn out to be fake. He fundamentally fails in his role as a supporting character.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song -

Disqualifying If We Hold On Together for being too easy, 'Always There.' Not just a tearjerker, a tearjerker that calls back directly to the first movie.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song -

There are quite a few songs I really dislike, but I have to give it to 'Big Water' purely on the basis of it coming back in another movie.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -

The original, obviously. Honorable mention goes to The Big Freeze.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -

Wisdom of Friends. No contest.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

Oh God, where to even begin to choose? I'm not allowed to just say the entirety of the original movie, am I? I guess it's a toss-up between Littlefoot seeing his own shadow, Littlefoot and Cera's fight, the scene at night when the others go to comfort Littlefoot and Cera finally joins them, and the final battle against Sharptooth.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot. Leader of the group, he will never leave you behind and will support you no matter what.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Rhett. He is too prideful. He acts tough when he tells his stories, but when talk is over and it comes time for actions. He runs to the herd for help.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - I like most of the Songs, but my ultimate favorite is the song called "The Lone Dinosaur." It has a classic western themed music in the background, it seems right.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Stinky. I felt the song was not that great.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock. It is the best movie I ever watched.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - All of them are great, but there is one I think didn't workout well. It was Land Before Time XII: The Day of the Flyers.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Littlefoot meeting Doc.

1.) Most liked Land Before Time character - Ruby, she is such a interesting character and I like the way she speaks.

2.) Least liked Land Before Time character - I would say Topps, with the way he acts most of the time in the series.

3.) Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together. Always gets me emotional.

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - Hmm... one song that perhaps is my least favorite of them all is the Big Water.

5.) Most liked Land Before Time film - This one is quite easy, The Great Longneck Migration. Always watched it in kindergarden  ;)

6.) Least liked Land Before Time film - The Wisdom Of Friends.

7.) Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Littlefoot and Bron's reunion.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character(s) - Doc and any other Longnecks - except Rhett & Old One
To be honest I don't really remember why...I just remember him being my favorite since I saw VI...and that's never changed

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Group: Yellowbellies / Individual: Wild Arms

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - "If We Hold On Together" - except I like the version sung by Anndi McAfee & Aria Curzon (sorry about any misspellings!) better than the original // "Eggs" // "Who Needs You"

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - "Eggs" <--I love this song...but I also hate it because it's like eternally stuck in my head

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - 6, 10, 4, 14 (that order) [kudos to anyone who figures out the pattern...shouldn't be too hard]

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - 13.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - um...Eggs..........

I have yet to see the TV series, but as of recently I have watched all fourteen films.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character:
Littlefoot. He's so loveable, and you really feel for him in his struggle throughout the first film. Second favourite would be Cera. Favourite guest character is Ali.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character:
Like many others, I'm not the biggest fan of the Yellowbellies. I don't utterly hate them or anything (and in fact I like their design, at least). They're just annoying. And, as much as I like Cera, I'm not crazy about her father. Again I don't hate him, per say, but he's so grumpy that it makes him difficult to appreciate. He does have moments where you see that he's not so bad deep down, but still. Also Mrs. Maia, again, for being an unlikeable grouch.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song:
"If We Hold On Together". The original version, although I really like the Cera and Ducky version as well. Too bad the latter never actually appeared in any of the sequels; it would've fit in so nicely. Oh, and pretty much anything James Horner composed.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song:
I'd need to see the films again sometime to form a more definite answer on this, as there's probably some songs I'm overlooking. But as of right now, "You're One of Us Now", "Kids Like Us", "Friends For Dinner", and "Hot and Stinky" all come to mind, although that last one is a bit of a guilty pleasure.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film:
The original. Just a beautifully-told and heart-wrenching story all around. My favourite sequels are "Journey Through the Mists" (#4), "The Mysterious Island" (#5), and "The Great Longneck Migration" (#10).

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film:
"Invasion of the Tinysauruses" (#11) for its nonsensical plot and out-of-character moments, and "The Wisdom of Friends" (#13) for... the Yellowbellies.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment:
Nearly every scene from the first movie. Perhaps that's not a very exciting answer, but there's so many great moments that I don't think I can really single any of them out.

Time to get down to business!!  :Mo

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Obviously, the Rainbow Faces are my all-time favorites! :rainbowwave I always thought they were cool for being so mysterious and intelligent--not to mention they're aliens. I mean, alien dinosaurs? I've always enjoyed the sheer strangeness of them! They're such quirky outsiders, and they don't give a hoot about what the regular dinosaurs think of them. They know things no one else does, and they don't owe any explanation to the likes of Mr. Threehorn! Choosing a favorite Rainbow Face, I'm gonna have to pick the male for being the friendlier one. I get a kick out of how terrible he is at being secretive--seems like he's in the wrong line of work, whatever that line of work exactly is. And caring for the kids is more important to him than keeping his distance for the sake of the mysterious mission, not wanting Littlefoot and co. to go without food and that sort of thing. And then there's the way his passion for science/space always bubbles over to the point where his companion has to cut him off before he says too much...love it.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - FYI, I'm not counting the TV show here, because so many of its new characters were so bland that I don't want to have to decide who was the most boring. :lol Keep in mind I don't downright hate anyone from LBT, but I'm gonna have to say Ichy is my least favorite. He and Dil were always my least favorite villians of the whole series. (Yeah, probably gonna have to let you down in the fanart department on this month's character showcase.) Even when I was little, I found their voices annoying, and that combined with their constant bickering got on my nerves fast. But why does Ichy get the honor of being my ultimate least favorite? That would mostly be because he's always bashing Dil's blindness. Not that Dil's ever nice to him, but with blindness already being an obstacle for Dil as it is, Ichy's attitude strikes me as particularly unfair. Also, I think Ichy's squawky voice is the most annoying of the two. (Squawky: new word, anyone? Spellcheck is not pleased.)

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" will always be my favorite! Come on, it's sung by my favorite characters. Besides, it's such a beautiful song! Plus it's sung by my favorite characters! In all seriousness, though, I love the message that there's so much of our world left to discover, wonders we know nothing about, perhaps some that will always remain a mystery. It's humbling, and it's so true. Looking up at a clear night sky, how many of us think about how enormous it really is? Not to mention that, on the other side of the coin, that part that we can see is only a fraction of our universe. (Somewhere in that paragraph, I just went full Neil deGrasse Tyson mode.)

4.) Least liked Land Before Time song - "Stupid Stompers." x(cera Because, no puns about it, it's just stupid. Mean-spirited, annoying, and as poorly-performed as LBT songs come. "THEY DON'T KNOW AaANYyTHING AT aAaALL!" Was Skitter supposed to be so horrifically off-key??

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - Definitely VII: The Stone of Cold Fire! I probably don't have to explain at this point. Though I will add that, aside from the Rainbow Faces, I also enjoyed it for the fact that it had some villains with a more interesting goal than just "eat the kids." (Suddenly most Land Before Time sequels sound morbid.) Plus, Pterano's song is another big favorite of mine! I love its use of string instruments!

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses takes that spot. I mean, the whole thing revolves around Littlefoot becoming a lying idiot. How is this supposed to be the same character we saw in any of the other movies??! I can laugh at The Wisdom of Friends for its what-am-I-watching levels of absurdity, but Tinysauruses is just Out-of-Character Syndrome at its worst! :anger

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - The end of VII when Littlefoot meets up with the Rainbow Faces again and sees them leaving. It's so cool how you never see the spaceship itself, just the tractor beam and the streak of light as it flies away. For that matter, we don't even know for sure if it is a spaceship. I know others on the web have theorized that it could have been a time machine, though as a fan of aliens I admit no one can shake me into thinking it's anything besides a spaceship. Point is, they left the scene ambiguous enough for there to still be some mystery there. And the awe on Littlefoot's face as he watches the whole thing happen...perfect.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - "Who Needs You." See #2. Man, it looks like there's a pretty strong correlation between my character preferences and song preferences...

Changed my mind about this. Although I remember my reaction to this song being indifferent at best and annoyed at most  when I was younger, I watched the movie again recently and found that "Who Needs You" was actually pretty catchy and witty! Besides, when I wrote this I'd forgotten about my true least favorite LBT song, one that I (thankfully) tend to forget exists...

"Stupid Stompers." x(cera Because, no puns about it, it's just stupid. Mean-spirited, annoying, and as poorly-performed as LBT songs come. "THEY DON'T KNOW AaANYyTHING AT aAaALL!" Was Skitter supposed to be so horrifically off-key??

I am here now for two weeks and it is time to write down, what I like about "The Land Before Time". The opinions differ widely on this topic (That is what it makes it so interesting!), but I will try to write down my views here in an understandable way.

1) My favourite character:
There are so many great characters in The Land Before Time! I can somehow identify with each and everyone of the characters. Since I saw my first LBT-film Littlefoot has been my favourite character. I was able to recognize myself in his behavior and actions in The Big Freeze and The Secret Of The Saurusrock, for example when Mr. Thicknose is talking about how the dinosaurs are getting their food, he listens carefully and wants absolutely to bring in his own knowledge or when he tells everyone the story of the lone dinosaur. He is curious and interested in so many things, he loves to listen to stories and he loves to tell stories, just like me. That is why he is my favourite character.

2) My least favourite character:
I didn't like The Time Of Great Giving when I was young, because of Hyp and his friends. I wasn't able to understand why they act so mean. I watched it again a month ago and noticed how good the story is. I never liked the behavior of Hyp and his friends, but I liked the idea of "They are just kids, which are trying to pretend that they are already adults." I also don't like Dil and Ichy simply because their speaking sharpteeth.

3)My favourite song:
The original soundtrack is the best and emotionalest in the whole series. "If we hold on together" is so wonderful!
I also like many of the sequel-songs.
My favourites are "The Legend Of The Lone Dinosaur", because it isn't just a sung monologue or dialogue, it tells a story and "When you're on your own". "When you're on your own" is of such a great importance to me, because it is like it gives a additional reason for what happened in the original movie, especially for Cera's separation  and her return. The song says something like: If you are alone you don't need to care for others, but there is no one there to care for you.

My least favourite song:
The first song in LBT9, because they sang about boredom. They met Mo just a few minutes later and the boredom was gone as quickly as it had come. I think it is a good song and I don't mind listening this song. The scene just somehow do not match with the rest of the film.

My favourite film:
"The Land Before Time" It was my favourite story when I was a child and it will always be my favourite film. I love the animation and the music, but the best things of all are the story and the characters. I could talk for hours just about how great the characters are...
Maybe you can guess my favourite sequel from my choice of favourite songs. It is "The Secret Of Saurusrock", maybe because it and "The Great Valley Adventure" are the first LBT-films, that I saw. The film is about being interested in someone and believing in something, that is why Iike it so much. Even when a everything went wrong(maybe because of bad luck, but I think because of Littlefoot, Dinah and Dana) they had someone, who protected them. I like this idea.

6)My least favourite film:
I think a bad "The Land Before Time" doesn't exist. Every film has got a good story idea, a good music or some funny scenes in it, so I  can not say that a film is worse than the others.

The most memorable moment:
-when Littlefoot finds his tree star again(Or did his tree star found him?)

1) Most Favorite LBT Character - Doofah. No, it's probably Pterano. He's just such a cool character!
2) Least Favorite Character - Doofah.
3) Favorite Song - well if you mean the soundtrack than that's a whole nother story but my favorite song is probably EEEGGGGSSSSS
4) Least Favorite Song - Not counting the originally made songs from the TV series, How Do You Know? Only thing I know is that it's a garbage song. I know usually the LBT sequels have one "sad" song along with the two others (Kids Like Us, Always There, On Your Own, etc) but in such an upbeat movie like The Wisdom Of Friends, How Do You Know just seems so out of place, it also comes out of literally nowhere.
5) Favorite Movie - the first one, of course, what a suprise. But my favorite sequel is either Secret Of Saurus Rock (there's an Allosaurus, Allosaurus is great, and it uses Sharptooth's roars.) or The Stone Of Cold Fire.
6) Least Favorite Movie - unlucky number 13. Surprisingly, even that one has it's own qualities, some of the music is nice, some scenes aren't annoying too.
7) Most Memorable Moment - either Littlefoot hatching or the Night Flower scene, they are both awesome.

1) Most liked Land Before Time character
Oh, Petrie, most definitely! I was really drawn to his personality as a little kid, out of the rest of the group he seemed like the off-beat, geeky one and he was always nervous about something. Oh yeah, AND he's the only flyer. Cera's a close second though

2) Least liked Land Before Time character
Those consarned yellow-bellies from the "Wisdom of Friends". Ergh. Or the spiketail bee-yotch who tried to take Spike in "Big Freeze".

3) Most liked Land Before Time song
"Big Water". Damn, such a dark, catchy tune, one of the reasons I like blues music now. "Standing Tough" gets honorable mention, Cera's dad is such a badass.

4) Least liked Land Before Time song
If We Hold On Together. I'm sorry, I know it's the most iconic one, but seeing Littlefoot lose his mom in the first movie is the first time I can remember feeling distraught at something on television.

5) Most liked Land Before Time film
"The Mysterious Island"!!! That was my first one, and I must've seen it like thirty times as a little kid :p Other than that I'd have to say the first one, or "Time of the Great Giving"

6) Least liked Land Before Time film
Wisdom of Friends, obviously

7) Most memorable Land Before Time moment
The scene in Mysterious Island where they get caught in an "Earthshake" in the middle of the ocean.

I did not like yellow-bellies.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song
My most favorite songs are perhaps Mad song and Bad luck, but I like many other too.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film
I really like LBT V, it has good songs, no boring part, gang meets Chomper again...
Then perhaps II or XII

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film
I did not like XIII, apart from song Yellow belly bounce. XI falls a little behind, it simply has many boring parts..

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment
There are more, for example:
-When Chomper hatches, and gang tries to take care of him.
-Guidos sleepwalking scene in XII.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Probably Cera or Ruby. I'm surprised that this hasn't changed since the last time I was active a few years back.
2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - I honestly don't have a clue.
3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - "Things Change" - boy do I relate to this song. I'd have to write a book if I explained how much I relate to this song, given how much my life has changed in only the last three years.
4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - "Always There". Not for the reasons you would think of course, but more on a personal level. I can't listen to the song because it only makes me think of a personal loss (will be mentioned below) I suffered shortly after I had stopped being active on here.
5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - The Great Longneck Migration
6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - Journey of the Brave
7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - I can't watch the scene anymore without completely breaking down since it only reminds me of my grandmother who passed in 2017, but the passing of Littlefoot's mother.

I've probably done this before on my old account, but I feel like that was so long ago that I may as well do it again now.

1.) Most favorite character - I think the username gives it away, it’s Chomper.  He’s cute, he’s kind, heck, I own a stuffed animal of him.

2.) Least favorite character - Does an entire herd of yellow bellies count?

3.) Favorite song - It has to be Friends for Dinner.  Sure they don’t know what stew means, but it’s darn catchy!  I was so happy when it got reused in the TV series.

4.) Least favorite song - Oops Eeps is my least favorite song.  I know the TV series doesn’t have that much original songs, but this was one of the original songs on the TV series.  It still haunts me to this day.

5.) Favorite movie - Obviously the original, but if you mean sequel, it’s the third movie.  It’s one of those sequels that has the most powerful theme out of the other sequels and the TV series.

6.) Least favorite movie - Ranges between 12 and 13, but mostly on 13.  I think you all know the reason why I hate it.  If you don’t, check #2 on this post.

7.) Most memorable moment - Has to be from the episode “Escape from the Mysterious Beyond“ where Chomper stands up for Ducky when her feeling get hurt by a Sharptooth.  What’s cool is that Chomper is the youngest of the group, so a little dinosaur standing up for an older one is so comforting.  Even Chomper calms Ducky down by singing a song (which is basically a conversation converted to song because FILLER!  We need it.) which makes this scene even more memorable.

I hope this helped you learn a little more about my relationship with LBT.  Until then, peace out!   :bolt

1. We have the same favorite. I created my username, Gentle Sharptooth, in homage of Chomper. ;)

2. Absolutely! Those Yellowbellies are the bane of the Mysterious Beyond! :D

3. Great song! I love the Jamaican and Caribbean influences on “Friends for Dinner.”

4. Yeah that song is like Dora’s “We Did it,” please make it stop! No offense to fans of the song or Dora fans.

5. Its neat to know someone who loves LBTIII. I must admit Littlefoot’s song about how Hip and the bullies are just like us teared me up last viewing.

Huh. Apparently I never posted in this. Suppose now's as good a time as any.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Anyone who knew me back in 2013 knew of my attachment to Littlefoot's grandparents (I'd say they were definitely comfort characters). And yes, that still applies. Of the main cast though, my favourite is Cera.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Yellowbellies.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - No one has to be alone, always there, I'm a sap for emotional songs.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Flip flap and fly. It gets stuck in my head for ages and that's annoying.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - First one, of course. My favourite sequel is either Mysterious Island or the Great Longneck Migration. Can't decide on that one.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - Wisdom of Friends, for obvious reasons.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Littlefoot's birth, the death of Littlefoot's mother, and the discovery of the Great Valley.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character -

Littlefoot. A generic pick maybe but they call him Lovable for a reason! He's cute, curious, sensitive. I also really like Cera!

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character -

Like all the yellowbellies. Collectively, and every single one of them individually as well.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song -

Oh there're so many good ones!

Really like the Lone Dinosaur Song song! Real catchy. Peaceful Valley is one that I catch myself humming a lot. Very Important Creature from VII is also a favorite. Got that nice opera feel to it, like something from HMS Pinafore. Pompous, just like Pterano himself.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song -

Big Big Big Big Water.

Spare me.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -

Again, this is a hard pick. So many of them mean so much to me. But If I'm being honest with myself, I'd have to go with Don Bluth's 1988 original. It had such a profound impact on me.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -

XIII. This one started out so strong but turned into a lengthy escort mission with the most annoying characters in the movie so far.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -

The passing of Littlefoot's mother, and the scene where he discovers the Great Valley, are two movie moments that will stay with me as long as I live.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Littlefoot  :littlefoot:)

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - The YellowBellies as a whole, but I'm also not a fan of Rhett  :rhett_ohno

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - If We Hold On Together" and  "Always There" <3

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - Yellow Belly Bounce, but I'm also really not a fan of Creepy Crawlies

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - Ooo this is a toughie, I love the majority of them equally for different reasons

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - Wisdom of Friends but also I don't really like The Great Day of the Flyers. I found the movie as a whole very annoying to get through all the way without being bored....

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Nearly all of them!

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character:
- From the main cast it's Petrie and Littlefoot, but Uncle Pterano is my ultimate favorite. I also dig Tria and Etta (if there's more LBT installments, I'd love to see more of her), also Rinkus and Sierra. I know they are grade A douchebags but that's one of the reasons I like them. So apparently every flyer is my favorite lol.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character:
- I think the Yellow Bellies are a given, but since I don't consider the 13th movie to be canon, I'd say Dinah and Dana. Of course they're just toddlers so it isn't the characters' fault, but I just don't think the writers put more effort to them than just "funny baby characters for the toddler audience". I'm also not big on Mr. Threehorn since he seems like a conservative racist who, despite his efforts, falls back to his old habits. Also I'm not a fan of the "woman cures man" trope, so I kinda hate it that in order for him to start being a better parent and overall a better person, all the labor was put on Tria's shoulders.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song:
- To be fair I almost always skip the song scenes. "Look for the Light" is my favorite and the other ones I like are "Very Important Creature" and "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond" mainly because it reminds me of "Galaxy Song" from Monty Python. Also for meme value I appreciate "Eggs" and "Big Water", since changing the lyrics as an immature 9-year-old was fun. Also, because in my language it sounds like Ozzy is singing about, uhh, male genitalia.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song:
- Haven't paid that much attention, but I'd say majority of them. Can't always tell them apart and I just think that as musical numbers they are very forgettable.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film:
- The first one is near and dear to me, but 4th, 5th and 7th have a special place in my heart. I've also warmed up to the 8th and 12th film.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film:
- I would love to like the 3rd one but time after time I realize I just can't concentrate on it. The message in the movie is good, one of the best of the film series, but the execution is not that strong - considering how little impact it had on the later movies. 13th is absolute garbage and it took every cell of my body and every fragment of my soul to sit through it lol. Also movie no. 11 is just plain boring. Can't remember much of it.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment:
- There are a lot of scenes from the first one: Littlefoot's mother dying, Cera and Littlefoot escaping the Sharptooth, but my favorite is when Littlefoot meets Rooter. I think it portrays Littlefoot's grief and denial realistically, and the way Rooter comforts him and gives him advice is very heartfelt. A needed moment after LF's mother's passing. Honorable mentions to the Night Flower scene, Pterano re-introducing himself to Petrie, and Chomper's parents fighting the third Sharptooth.

Welp, time to reply on another old post!

Favorite LBT character- It's gotta be that sweet pink chicken! (lol sorry, Ruby... :RubyAngry) Jokes aside, when I first saw her in the first episod I was like, "Huh, I don't remeber her in the other movies." But I just kinda rolled with it, I was only watching the show because I was bored anyway. After the second episode I became more attached. She's an interesting character, and she's got a mysterious past. I also admire her overall design. Honestly I don't understand why people hate her so much, only because she's new. Like come on! Are you saying you hate every character when they're first introduced?

Disliked LBT character- Like everyone else, I have to go with the yellow bellies. I really hate their designs. No more explanation! I would also like to say that Red claw will be my second least favorite character. Like someone already pointed out, they make him so weak. He is so easy to subdue, and you can easily run away from him according to the many times that the kids have outsmarted him. Even so, he seems rather stupid for a sharptooth. they simply run between his legs, and they do this quite a lot, which makes him look slow. He is one of the main reasons why I don't like the show.

Favorite LBT song- Imma go for 'if we hold on together' I also like the song
EGGGGGS. Honestly I love a good breakfast with eggs. I like to make a sandwich,  lightly toast the bread, make some scrambled eggs (or suniside up, whichever you prefer) Put some cheese on one slice of bread, then put the eggs in there and you have yourself a good Saturday breakfast.

Disliked LBT song- Pretty much every song from the tv series. They just recycle them from other movies. Look people, the show doesn't HAVE to have songs in every episode, in fact, I think the show would be much better without them, and much longer too. (well ok, remembering is probably the one song that I like in there. Megan Strange nailed that perfectly) I also don't like 'hot and stinky' Just the overall idea and point of the song is just unnecessary. I shook my head when I heard it replay in the credits.

Favorite LBT movie- While I do agree that the first film was breath taking, I'll have to stick with the second movie for this one. It was the first LBT movie I have ever watched, and it's just so nostalgic.

Disliked LBT movie- The wisdom of friends. You know why.

Most memorable LBT moment- In the second movie, in the opening scene, Cera poked her head up from under a lili pad. It's specific but It brings back memories.

Favorite LBT character-  I would say for me is Littlefoot  :PAli I loved his introduction scene in the first movie with all the little cute creatures that was a cool introduction o and also he sings one of my favorite songs in " It takes allsorts " loved that song with him and Ali.

Disliked LBT character-  Im gong with Daddy topps  :threehornmad hes just a wanker he never really learns from his mistakes, hes always like the secondry antagonist in all of the films and I dont get why they dont just kick him out of the great valley.

Favorite LBT song- Not counting the main theme it has too be It takes allsorts I love the theme behind it and the way Littlefoot and Ali bounce off each off is so seamless in its exacution (big water came in second too this).

Disliked LBT song- when your big by the bullies in number 3 its just forgetable thats its main issue with the song.

Favorite LBT movie- if were not counting the first one I would go with The Land Before Time lV Journey Through the Mists  :Tickles Its just such a good movie it follows the message of the first one about putting your predgestits aside and coming together for a main goal in this case getting the night flower for granpa shore theres no sharpteeth in this one but there doesnt have too be this plot convenent sharptooth just storking the kids ready too attack too make a good movie its about the characters.

Disliked LBT movie- Has to go too The Land Before Time XIII its just shit  :doofahCringe I dont even count this movie as a LBT movie and theres been some pretty bad LBT movies the plot is apoling its about these 3 yellow bellies who are too stupid too get back to berry valley so Littlefoot and the gang have too guide the yellow bellies back and common highjenncks insue stupid just stupid

Most memorable LBT moment- has to go too the death of Littlefoots mother  :MomCompassion I cry evertime I rewatch the first one "Littlefoot let your heart guide you it whispers so listen closely" such a powerful quote

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - Tied between Petrie :)petrie and Chomper :chomper. I am basically a combination of these two characters.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Spike :spikenotamused. Unpopular opinion I'd imagine. I just find him to be completely one-noted personally.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - Friends for Dinner :ChomperYummy. I generally skip these, so to find one I won't skip means it stood out the most to me

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - I am so Happy :littlefootscared. Everytime this song played, it felt so unnecessary.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - VII :PteranoPlotting. I do like the character interaction, especially by Petrie with Co. I also really like the message this film can convey, as sometimes the people who you should trust (family) can be the least trustworthy people.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - XIII :doofahCringe. It just felt like a complete cash grab, like Universal was trying to get some final coin before closing shop on making another movie until 2016

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - Chomper's Parents becoming allies to the gang after Littlefoot saved Chomper :MommaSmile. It really warmed my heart as a kid, and it really made me interested in the complex relationship that can occur between leafeater and sharptooth if you ignore the food chain aspect as an adult.

Most liked Land Before Time character - Mama Swimmer - She has a lovely charm to her that reminds me of my own family sometimes. She's just very caring to all in the valley and has a lot of development in LBT8.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - Dil & Ichy are just annoying and cringy in my opinion. Their constant bickering and 'sillyness' are too stupid to be scary.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - Family. It's heart-warming and helps me in dark times. Beautifully sung by the gang and Mama Swimmer.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - I don't know. Probably Hot & Stinky. There's just so many bad songs in my opinion. that I mute or skip. Hot & Stinky is one of the worst in my opinion.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - 8 - The Big Freeze. Yes, it had its moments where I winced a bit, such as when Ducky & Spike bickered or when Tippy & his mother kept Spike with them. However, it was overall heart-warming and Mama Swimmer's character developed a lot. She's my favourite by quite a way.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time films - 13 & 11. 11 was boring and had many cringe-worthy moments, while 13 had even more bad moments and didn't really make sense to me.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - To me, it's probably when Mama Swimmer rescued Spike from drowning in LBT8.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character - For the main cast, a tie between Littlefoot and Petrie. For sequel characters, Pterano.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - probably Mr. Threehorn before Tria came along. Sierra is up there, too, even though it was cool to have a villain with intentions OTHER than just wanting a meal for the day.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - For fun/upbeat, Very Important Creature as well as Friends for Dinner. For serious, Always There.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - most of the ones from 11 and 13 (except Yellow Belly Bounce, it’s actually a good mood lifter!). And the TV series songs.

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film - definitely the original, but in terms of sequels, I’d say 5, 7, and 12.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film - 11. Other than introducing Tria, I feel like they pulled the weirdest ideas out there in terms of consistent worldbuilding. And I know I’ll probably get flack for this, but 13 is a mood-lifting guilty pleasure when I need a good laugh. I’ve sat through enough bad kids movies nowadays that 13 isn’t the worst thing in existence.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment - For the original, the gang reaching the Valley and reuniting with their families. For the sequels, it’s kinda tough to pick ONE because my favorite sequels had a lot of great moments.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character - the yellow bellies. need i say more.

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song - i like friends for dinner

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song - oops eeps. need i say more

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film -
i think  land before time  4 is the best

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film -
lbt 13. need i say more.

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment -
were cera saids that chompers life is dependent on it and chomper screams. its from the lone dinosaur episode.

1.)  Most liked Land Before Time character – Tricia, because she’s just a great, great baby character. Very cute, never annoying, and overall just really likable and sweet to watch. Ducky is my favorite of the main characters, and I’m also fond of Hyp.

2.)  Least liked Land Before Time character – I’m not one of those people who coughs blood over the Yellowbellies – I actually have a soft spot for those imbecilic buggers. :PLoofah Honestly, there aren’t many characters I really hate. I’m not best keen on Doc for being bland as badgers and being a bit of a jerk in the TV series…but oh well. Also Cera was nigh abusive in her behavior in some of the earlier movies, especially towards Chomper :areyouserious - though she's better in others. I'd say Rhett too, but thanks to all the jokes here, I just can't hate the guy anymore  :rhett_smile :bestsharptooth

3.)  Most liked Land Before Time song – I think I’m gonna say “Flip Flap and Fly”. It’s just pure fun from beginning to end and after all of Petrie’s struggles in the movie, it’s great to finally see him happy. :petrieLOL “No-One Has to Be Alone” is also a favorite of mine.

4.)  Least liked Land Before Time song – I’m not fond of “Better Off Alone”, partially because of it essentially amounting to ‘Littlefoot throws a paddy and sings about it’…but also because it shares the same title as a legendary eurodance track. To say the least, it casts a looooong shadow. :p

5.)  Most liked Land Before Time film – I for having the Bluth touch, a great dark edge and a nice look at grief, VII for having one of the most original and fun plots, VIII for Ducky and Spike development, and XII for Petrie development, great songs, and introducing my favorite character.

6.)  Least liked Land Before Time film – I wasn’t really thrilled with The Secret of Saurus Rock. The luck subplot (except the excellent “Bad Luck”) kind of irritated me and I didn’t care for Doc or the “On Your Own” song. The second half of The Mysterious Island also rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Chomper, but the way everyone but Littlefoot treated him was just really unfair and hard to watch. :sducky I honestly prefer the version of “Friends for Dinner” from the TV series lol

7.)  Most memorable Land Before Time moment – That scene in the first one where Littlefoot asks his mom if she’s ever seen the Great Valley and then there’s a pause as she sloooowly cranes her neck towards him…then bluntly says “No :neutral” Cracks me up. :lol
