So these, are the original characters. =)

I was trying out if the new coloring style I use would fit to LBT.
What do you think? Should I stay with this style or use the older one?
The comic will stay in the old style though.

Wow, nicely done Sky! They look so realistic to me, i'd recommend staying with that style. It seems to fit perfectly in my opinion. :yes

I think I prefer the newer style.  But the more important thing is do you have a preference?

I also like the fact his one has shading also.  Many people forget to add that in, and it can be difficult I would imagine.

Certainly the newer style.  What are they looking at anyway? :p

I compared the image with your Merry Christmas image (which I presume to be old style and which includes all of the maincharacters). I must admit it is very difficult for me to spot the differences. Is there any of your pictures which you could recommend in order to compare the two styles?
Your work does look lovely as always. :yes
There are two things which I don't think are part of the new vs. old style question but which I can offer as hopefully useful suggestions. One is the back of Littlefoot's head. In your last and in some (but not all) of your older pictures the back of his head and his neck form one line. I think it looks a bit more plastic if the back of his head projects a bit over his neck (as you did in the christmas picture for example).
The other suggestion (only a suggestion which I don't mean to be understood as any attempt to intervene with your personal style, which I appreciate) concerns the eyes of the characters. The pupils of the character's eyes look very large in some of your pictures with a relatively thin iris (the colored part of the eyes) surrounding the pupils. Also the pupils and irises in your pictures tend to have an oval rather than a circular shape which may sometimes look a little uncustomary. Please never mind if this is part of your personal style. It is just something I noticed.

I have to say I particulary love Spike in this picture; I think this style and your sheer brilliance easily capture the gentil expression usually found on his face. For both this and the picture as a whole:
"Good Job!"

Here's a reference i think is good: Click
Nevermind the background. ^^
The lines are now colored instead of just black.
And I'm using 2 shading colors and a slightly lighting.

@Malte
Your 1st suggestion: So you mean the head and neck connects as one line?
Something like the first one in this but should look like the second one:

I just recognized that. Thanks Malte.  :^.^:
And the 2nd: There's a reason why the iris are thinner. The characters would look to another direction instead where they should look. But it can be also the oval thing that make them do so. Just remembered their eyes should be a circle too. I just keep forgetting it.  :P:

Though, I just read your suggestions today but finished another pic yesterday, so I couldn't go with your suggestions.

I noticed some of those points, but assumed it was your style.

May sound odd but if you see yourself as having problems with certain spots of the characters have you tried, assuming you have any videos of the movies or episodes, pausing when one or more of the characters is on, or look at a screen capture to do a detailed look, and perhaps take some paper and trace the areas so you can get more of the feel of what it is like to draw those spots.  Maybe try it a few times to help practice. I don't mean do this when you are working on a picture, but as a practice sort of thing. Maybe a silly or stupid idea but just one I had.

Hello:
 I liked this picvery much, as other people said, you have your style, which is very good, and you must have this very well known, but with every pic, your style will improve, making better and better drawings and arts.
 Keep it up!

No, no. It's not a stupid idea.

Yes. Before I started to draw LBT, I used many screencaps from the episodes.
I'm drawing them first from a screencap until I know how they should be drawn. Then I try to draw them freehand. :^.^:
It was kinda hard to draw Sky though.

Since you had to do him from scratch?   Did it take a few different versions before you decided you liked this version, or did you have a diffident mental image from the start?

I had many different versions. But they look really ugly. :blink:

I'm sure they can't be THAT bad!  :yes You're a great artist, so how bad could it actually be?

At least you have a version you seem happy with, or happy with for now.

@Mornai
I could post the earlier versions. But I think it would be better not to show them, may cause uglyness. :wacko:  xD

@Kor
Oh, I'm really happy with it.  :lol:

Sounds like my idea isn't to silly after all.  It sounded like a good idea when I thought it up, but wasn't sure.
