Capcom... for Nintendo...
Well, without researching, the only name that comes to mind that relates both is Resident Evil, and still not sure. ._.

You're close enough, so I'll give it to you :D

The correct answer is Resident Evil 0! It was originaly intended for the N64, but production of it stopped when the next gen of Gamecube/PS2/Xbox started, so it got transfered over to Gamecube.

What is called to the element of a game due to which a character can carry multiple guns, weapons, items, etc. without the latest being visible?

I suppose general game element questions are allowed...?

I don't quite understand the question   Are you asking for the gaming genre maybe? If so it sounds like you're describing a first person shooter.

LBT13Fan: Oh yeah that was pretty bad. Horribly suggestive... :DD But we won't tread there  :lol

No, its a named feature of a game, not limited to first person shooters.

For instance, a character can bring as many bullets, machine guns, etc as you like without them being seen, showing only a character with a few pockets, for instance. Zelda comes to mind, since you only see a sword and a shield and his tunic, no bows, no quivers, nothing.

However, there is a name for this effect. Can you tell me what name is it?

Yeah, just to let you know, I haven't been ignoring your question for I find it very interesting. It's just that I like a bit of reasoning before a give an answer. I cannot pass up a thread with this title, so I'm definately apart of it, since I viewed this from the start. Other people just tend to answer before me so far...

But it can be days before I respond in some threads because it frequently just means that I'm just searching for an answer. I don't randomly guess and I'm too prideful to ask for hints in a trivia section. I want to find an answer on my own, so that it can't be said that I "had help" getting it.

Now, I have looked in many sites about game mechanics and elements. I didn't find an element with a word for word match to your defination, but this one comes by far the closest to what you're asking. It could very well be incorrect, it just comes close, is all I'm saying.

Is it Graphical User Interface? This is the definition of that one, so if it's wrong, at least you can see why I thought it might be right.

Quote
A graphical user interface (GUI, IPA: /ˈgu¢?ɪ/) is a type of user interface which allows people to interact with electronic devices such as computers; hand-held devices such as MP3 Players, Portable Media Players or Gaming devices; household appliances and office equipment. A GUI offers graphical icons, and visual indicators, as opposed to text-based interfaces, typed command labels or text navigation to fully represent the information and actions available to a user. The actions are usually performed through direct manipulation of the graphical elements.

So yeah, I've been trying really hard, just nobody can actually tell until I find a lead. Anyway, if I'm wrong, as I do tend to be in trivia questions, I'll look until I or someone else can find it. Just please don't take my absense as quitting, since I really don't like doing that with questions from a theme I love that I started on with a definate answer out there somewhere. I'll await your response. Later!

Well, no, it isn't, sorry. :D

The name doesn't have even the tiniest bit to do with the description in question. Eheh.

Is it something like an "unlimited sack" where basically, a character can hold an impossible amount of items, ammo, weapons etc yet the player never actually sees this feature. It is ultimately the action of the animation that keeps the submersion that tricks the player into thinking that it is plausible despite a character cannot carry a pistol, a machine gun, a shotgun, a rocket launcher, grenades AND spare ammo for all of these without feeling the strain a little  :D

Yes, and I heard a word inside those " " that sounds much like one of the name's words.

Sorry, if I'm confusing it up, I'll give the answer if you want.

Nope, wrong, sorry.

Try a synonym of "bag" without that "holding".

Reckon you're gonna have to give us another clue Explorer. Either that or consider us stumped and you can ask another question (or pass it on if nothing's in mind right now :DD )

I'll give the anwer and pass, then. :D

The answer was Magic Satchel, often confused with Hammerspace!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammerspace

This definition was given to the game factor that doesn't allow the player to see the multiple items a game character carries! Like the inventory. Its often used in RPGs.

So, that being said, I'll pass! :D

Can't say I've ever heard it refered to that specifically but hey...I am educated a little further now! Thanks for that  :DD

I'll pick up the next question. Just to get things going again:

Everyone knows Sonic the Hedgehog to be Sega's official mascot. But he was NOT initially intended to be. The initial "intended" mascot character was redesigned and later released in a game titling his own name. Who is this character?

Snap, I knew that... I need to eat less cheese.

I would bet on Crash, but he only got into the industry much later.

Nope...Crash is a character from Naughty Dog. This character is Sega's own. It was pretty much developed by the same guys that brought Sonic into the world. To put a time scale on it, it was pre-Playstation era.
