I have seen what that Sharptooth can do in insane state.
I didn't see what can Doc do in mad state, like Littlefoot's mother did.
So, for now, I say almost each elder dinosaur is doomed in battle with Sharptooth...

Doc was able to defeat the Meanest Sharptooth (LBT VI) without being mad (rage mode). Imagine if Doc was to go into full rage mode against Sharptooth like Little Foot's Mother.

do you remember ending of film, where Littlefoot reimagines the story again (or makes his own story), and this time, Grandpa replaces Doc.
