Ateo is an old plateosaurus fanchara of LBT of mine. I drew him a few times before, but his old design was a bit complicated for me to do. So today I came up with this drawing with a new, more LBT-like look for him, using the unnamed plateosaurus that appeared in the begnning of LBT 2 as reference.

Sorry about the simplistic background. Still getting the hang of using GIMP.

That's a very interesting looking character.  Did it take long to make it or get the ideas?

The concept of Ateo came to me when listening to a couple of songs. I had envisioned several scenes involving the character, and eventually drew him. I forget why I chose black and white. It might have been that I like the combination of the two colors, plus I don't recall there being any black and white dinos in LBT, from memory.

Very nice^^ I love his design and the color choices. Monotones usually look best on a character^^
I also like the sneering look he's giving, he seems kinda crafty.
OMG! U use GIMP?? I do, too^^ ugh, I've been needing so much assistance with that program, how long have you had it?

Thanks!

And yep I use GIMP. I've been using it since the test version 2.7 in which the single window mode was introduced.

What kind of assistance do you need? I could do a Livestream sometime.

Well, it's mostly getting used to the programs offered. I've been struggling with bgs so I end up with my characters in a white field unless I start with the bg first, and then add the fg in afterwards.
I've got 2.6, so maybe I'm a little outdated^^

Here's the link for downloading the latest GIMP, which is 2.8.2. If you want to activate single window mode, click Window and click Single Window Mode.

And thank you^^

Well GIMP prior to 2.7, such as 2.6, had multiple windows. Three usually. Single Window Mode puts it all in one window.

Here's what it looks like:

I customized it a little.
